The Warewolf AU (4/5) || 03

"Aera?" Jungkook called, entering the house after what felt like an hour of cooling himself down, which didn't really have any effect. His eyes still looked red and puffy with tears, and cheeks had the stains of those he cried near alone, muffling his sobs to himself.

"Hey Jungkook, where's Jimin? You guys took so long, is everything okay?" Taehyung asked, rambling inside the drawer of the cabinet below the television.

"Yeah," He muttered absent mindedly while his eyes ran around the living space, "Aera? Princess where are you?" He asked, jogging to the stairs.

"She's in the kitchen with Yoongi hyung, I think," Taehyung said, glancing at him, "What happened though? You look... uhm not good."

"I'm fine," He replied and walked into the kitchen, finding the toddler sitting on the counter top, beside Yoongi where he cooked.

"Koo!" The girl's cheer brought a smile on Jungkook's lips. He went near her and lifted her off the counter, carrying her in his arms, earing a smile from Yoongi as well as the kid who hugged him tightly.

Jungkook kissed her forehead, looking at her with soft eyes and took her upstairs to his room, not saying anything to anyone.

"Jungkook she needs to eat." Yoongi said.

"I'll feed her, you don't have to worry." He replied, patting his sister's back.

"What is wrong with him suddenly?" Yoongi frowned at Jin who just entered the kitchen, shrugging his shoulders. "Where's Jimin?"

"I don't know, I thought they came together." Jin said, standing beside him and took a spoon, tasting the soup Yoongi made. He nodded, analysing the taste and gave an impressed look to the younger, earning a scoff in return.

The rest of the boys came in, taking their respective seats on the dining table, but frowned seeing both Jimin and Jungkook's chair empty, even Aera wasn't in her high chair today.

Before anybody questioned anything, they heard a loud noise from the back of the house. Taehyung rushed outside followed by the others, seeing the door of the warehouse open which was an uncommon sight for them. The warehouse is supposed to be locked. It has been locked since years. The last time they went in was during Jungkook's training, and it's not a pleasant sight to see a boy being tortured in the name of training. But that was the rule each of them had followed in their lives no matter how much it hurted.

Jin entered behind Taehyung, gasping at the devasted state of the the place. The latter rushed towards Jimin, holding him tightly before he did anymore damage, and pulled him to a corner, noticing the blood on him and his eyes glaring in deep red.

"Jimin..." He whispered scanning his friend from head to toe and hugged him tightly, "Shh, we're here."

"Go away" Jimin threatened and pushed Taehyung when he didn't listen to him.

"Jimin, please don't do this," Taehyung said softly, stepping closer again, "You'll hurt yoursel-"

"GO AWAY I SAID!" Jimin yelled, pushing him back, "YOU WILL GET HURT!"

"Yeah," Taehyung glared, standing in front of him, "Hurt me."

Jimin growled in anger, pushing the boy again, making him bump into the wall right behind, earning a hiss, but Taehyung stood straight again, looking at his friend with nothing but worry in his eyes.

"Go on," He said, "hurt me if you can."

Jimin stared at him, hands dropping to his and Taehyung hugged him tightly, gradually kneeling down as Jimin was lowered himself, crying in his embrace. The boy rubbed his back and glanced at his face seeing the blood still flowing. Jin knelt down, next to the two, grabbing a cloth and wiped Jimin's face gently.

"I... I lost, Tae..." Jimin sobbed, closing his eyes with the image of Jungkook walking away flashed before him. "he was crying an- and he hates me... Tae, hyung... I don't know what to do... he's- he'll leave, stop him please..."

"Jimin relax, don't cry please." Jin said, rubbing his hands together with Jimin's hand placed between them, "Who are you talking about?"

"J-Jungkook... hyung stop him..." Jimin cried, grabbing Jin's hand hastily, eyes darted towards the door on hearing Aera's voice.

Namjoon stood up, glancing at Jimin's distorted state and decided to check what was happening, and thank god he did. Gasping, he rushed over to the youngest boy, grabbing his arm before he stepped in the car.

"Where the hell are you going?"

"Why do you care?" Jungkook growled, "Go take care of your alpha."

"Jungkook" Namjoon warned, his voice sounding lower than usual.

"Jungkook?!" They heard a few gasps, probably on seeing the two suitcases with him and Aera in his arms. He sighed deeply, glancing at Jimin who looked at him with pleading eyes, shaking his head for him not to leave.

"I'm sorry for all this, but I'm leaving." Jungkook stated, not making any eye contact with the boys.

"Jungkook, I'm sor-"

"No, you're not." He gritted out.

"Jungkook, do not forget he's older than you." Yoongi reminded, maintaining a sharp glare at Jungkook.

"Well I'm sorry then," He said, "Not just to him, all of you. Sorry for everything and thank you for driving me this insane."

"What a-"

Jungkook turned to his side, opening the back and door sat Aera in, buckling her in the booster seat, however somebody pulled his arm back, making him sigh deeply in frustration. He yanked his arm and glanced at his sister, who was looking at them with a confused and scared expression.

"Oppa..." She mumbled, trying to get down from the car. And once she jumped out, her feet automatically ran towards the back where Jimin stood, hugging his legs and extending her arms up. "Why's Koo mad?"

Jimin glanced at the boy who looked pissed already and crouched down in front of the toddler. Instead of saying anything, he brought the girl closer and hugged her tightly, keeping his eyes closed, recalling how he had his siblings cuddling him just two days back and today everything is falling apart.

"Baby," Jimin opened his eyes at Jungkook's voice sounding close and found him crouching near them. His eyes held tears that Jimin could see through and feel the pain in his heart as well. "Come on we have to go, yeah?" He said in a soft tone for his sister.

Jimin frowned at his words, "Where?"

The younger took Aera from him and stood up, holding her in his arms, "I'm taking her with me." He said, walking towards the car.

"No, you're not." Yoongi announced as firm as he could. "Nobody's going anywhere."

Jungkook glanced at him and decided not to argue about anything as he, himself, was tired and didn't have the energy to argue with these people.

"Jeon Jungkook, stop right there. I'm warning you!" The older stated, stepping in front and blocked his way.

"I don't want all this," Jungkook said calmly, "Let me go or..."

"Or?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows at him, "Or what? You'll fight me? Fight us?"

"Maybe," The younger nodded, "So just let me go."

"You'll regret this."

"I am regretting everything, please..."

With a straight face, Yoongi extended his arms out taking Aera with him, ignoring the younger's grip as he knew he'd let go of her instead of hurting her. The older stepped aside, nodding his head towards the car.

Jungkook glared at him and said, "You cannot take her form me, she's my sister!"

"She's not going with you."

"I–"

Jungkook fell silent, eyes moving towards the three-year-old as she started crying wiggling in Yoongi's arms and Jungkook tried to take her quickly. She slapped his hands away, turning her head to look for Jimin, who wiped his tears and came near them.

"Shh," He whispered in a shaky voice, "Don't cry, Aera's my strong pup right? Stop crying, nobody's fighting now."

Aera clutched onto his shirt tightly and continued to cry while mumbling something in between, "It's okay, everything is fine." Jimin said, patting her back and kissed the top of her head.

Jungkook stared at them, mentally scolding himself for not minding his tone in front of the kid. After a few seconds, he saw her finally calming down and sniffing softly, still holding onto Jimin.

"Oppa..." She mumbled, looking at Jimin, her tiny hands cupping Jimin's face, like he did to her, "Riri wan' stay with oppa..."

Jimin chewed on his lower lip, staring at the sister through glassy eyes and a smile. He inhaled deeply and kissed her forehead, closing his eyes, making a tear drop fall on her hand. Aera stared at it with a frown and then at his face, pouting herself on realizing he was crying.

"Oppa don't cry." She said, quickly wiping his tears and leaned in, pecking his lips like a little birdie before giggling at him, earning a chuckle from him too. "Pwetty" she said, poking his smiling lips.

"You're prettier." Jimin whispered, gently bumping his forehead into hers.

"Take her inside." Yoongi ordered, ignoring the sharp look he got from the younger brother.

"You canno-"

"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" Yoongi yelled, grabbing Jungkook by his shoulders, "This is not right!"

"And what he did to me is right?" Jungkook breathed out, looking nothing but exhausted as he glanced over to Jimin, "I swear I still can't bring myself to go against him, even after everything he did. If you ask me to hurt him, I won't be able to do that... I don't wanna hurt anyone of you, please let me go... I'm feeling suffocated here, all- all of this is making it hard for me to breathe... don't stop me."

"...and I want my sister." He added, looking at them with begging eyes, "She's all I have now and I... I don't wanna lose her too."

Jungkook gulped thickly, hiding his own tears and jogged back inside to being Aera back. He smiled at the toddler, kissing her cheek and placed her on her feet, holding her hand as he walked towards the car, tears blurring his vision but never in the name of heaven did he look back.

"You'll take her away from Jimin?" Taehyung asked in a hushed voice.

"You'll take her away from me?" Jungkook asked back, dropping a tear as he looked at them with pained eyes, "He has you all. But tell me who do I have? Just Aera, the only one who didn't lie, who didn't pretend, who didn't take anything and anyone from me..."

Silence took over for a few minutes, fading away when Jungkook ignited the engine of his car and drove off with a heavy heavy heart, leaving everything behind — his brothers, his home and a piece of his heart.

Meanwhile Jimin stared at the vehicle disappearing in distance, feeling helpless at the situation. Already missing his sister and his brother around him. He closed his eyes, feeling a sharp pain in his head and felt the thick, warm liquid flowing from his eyes, he groaned a little and fell on his knees, pressing his palm on the ground to keep his balance.

His eyes opened with a snap, deep red color taking over again as he growled loudly after being shifted to his wolf form.

Jin stared at him with sympathetic eyes, knowing how severely he must be hurting, both physically and mentally, that he couldn't control his forms that he had mastered years ago.

Eyes crying blood is never okay. The amount of pain and suffering you put a being through is beyond imagination when you're making them shed blood for tears.

That's what they all learned together during their first years, and now Jimin was on the verge of passing out while he cried blood, emotions mixed inside his head and probably unable to process anything right now.

Jungkook inhaled deeply, unbuckling Aera from her seat and made her stand on the ground while he got the bags. Her eyes wandered around, observing the new surrounding as she had came beyond the boundary of their area for the first time. That too in the city.

"Come," She looked at Jungkook who smiled at her, holding his hand out which she quickly held and walked inside a big building with him.

Everything looked too captivating for the little girl, from a lot of people to the huge fish tank, glittering lights and a few pet animals. But mostly, people. She glanced at Jungkook who was busy talking to the human behind the brown desk, giving Aera time to observe the things more carefully.

"Koo" She called, tugging on his pants, making him look down and follow her finger pointing at a Golden Retriever dog with it's owner. "Wof" she said, earning a chuckle from him.

"It's not a wolf, it's a dog." He said and looked over to the reception lady, who just let out a chuckle, probably finding the kid's mistake funny or maybe cute. "Make it quick please." Jungkook's voice made her stop laughing and get back to work.

He looked down at his brave sister who trying to hold the dog's tail while it circled her, sniffing around her feet and her body, which probably made Aera uncomfortable after a few seconds, for she whimpered looking at her brother.

Jungkook looked at the dog, crouching down to pet his head only to have him make an eye contact and shudder back as the boy's eyes flashed a blue glint. With a smirk, Jungkook reached out to pet the dog again, but this time the animal probably knew something was odd and went back to his owner. A dog wouldn't want to mess with a wolf.

"He's gone." Jungkook said.

"Koo so sto'ng." She smiled widely and hugged him.

"Mm-hmm, Koo has to be strong for us right?" He smiled when the girl didn't say anything and just stared at him, "say yes."

"Yes" Aera giggled.

Jungkook chuckled and stood up, hearing the the lady's voice as she handed out a key card to him, "Room number 613, twenty-sixth floor." She said and motioned her hand towards the left side, "That's the way to the elevator."

"Thank you." Jungkook nodded, gesturing Aera to follow him as she refused to being carried. They entered inside the elevator where two girls were already standing.

Jungkook didn't mind their heart-eyed gazes at his sister, knowing that being a pure blood in wolves definitely made her prettier and cuter than a normal human child. One of the girls finally decided to break the ice and asked Aera her name.

"Aera..." The toddler said, looking at the girls.

"Aw that's such an adorable name." They squealed, before turning to Jungkook, "Is she your uhm daughter?"

I won't mind that, he thought, smiling a little internally, but shook his head, "She's my sister."

"Oh I'm sorry, well you did look young to have a daughter." She confessed, laughing nervously, "Anyway, you have an adorable sister."

"Yeah, thanks." He nodded.

"Oppa" Aera pouted at him, "up"

Jungkook sighed, carrying her up and noticed how she instantly hugged him, mumbling his name once which made him realize that his baby sister got jealous and wanted to remind that Kookie is only her oppa and not anyone else's.

The elevator dinged and Jungkook dragged his suitcases out, holding the toddler in his one arm and looked at the doors in line, searching the numbers 6, 1 and 3 together.

He pressed the key card against the small black machine and the door unlocked. He placed Aera on her feet, stepping inside the room and locking the door behind him as he sat on the couch tiredly while Aera walked around the room touching different things and seeing what was of use.

Jungkook stood up after a moment and opened the bag with his and Aera's clothes, deciding to get changed and then finally sleep after a long day.

"Princess, come here, let's get you changed." He called her over while walking to the bathroom.

"Shower?" Aera followed behind him, looking around the bathroom too, not finding much difference other than the clean wall near the toilet where she had drew a wolf with her new crayons back at home.

"Yes, come." He said after pulling his t-sirt over his head and hung it on the on the hanger on the wall. Aera tried doing the same, but sighed giving up as the buttons if her romper were too tight for her to open. Jungkook chuckled and unbuttoned it for her, letting her do the rest on her own which made her happy.

The boy sighed and took the regular shampoo as he realized there won't be baby products unless he makes a special order about it. But one use won't harm right? He brought Aera in the bathtub with him after filling it half with water and sat down, holding her on his lap, as the last thing he'd want is for her to drown in the tub.

Jungkook leaned back against the head of the tub and closed his eyes, recalling each and everything that happened in the last two days, especially today. His eyes watered at the thought of leaving his family and stepping out with Aera who's just three years old. Maybe he was risking her life too and being selfish. Yes he was. But this time, he was more hurt than anything.

"Koo sleeping?" Aera poked his cheek and he opened his eyes, hands placed on her back as she sat on his stomach, facing him and putting the water on his chest and shoulders.

He smiled, seeing her smile and pecked her lips softly, "I'll protect you with everything I have princess, I promise." And I'll stay alive for us.
