lights were dim, shining were just the ones that the audience had in their hands, the flashlights of their phones. with a roaring cheer, a wave of enthusiasm washes over the crowd, making them scream as the lights flashed on, focusing on the stage where now stand five people. two girls and three boys.

along the cheering fans, the loud music plays in the background, beats dropping and picking up, making everyone jump and dance in their places. the performance going on stage is powered with hiphop and frequents free styles between the members singing and rapping. the movements, well rhythmic and synchronised, reflecting in the eyes of the people who stare up at the five with fondness and admiration, because this is a new phase in the kpop industry.

hybe's very first coed kpop band who had the internet world throbbing ever since the first teaser was released. speculations were made, theories circulated and many rumours were held out regarding what the new group will be like, it's concept, members and almost everything. but when the group debuted with their very first single and a full length album, the talks were crushed at once, and rose high the five-membered coed group, violette & sapphirez.

the crowd cheers again as the music comes to an end after three consecutive performances taking the fans high with the beats and choreography. the members stand in a line, smiling at the fans who did them the honour and showed up on their debut stage.

"2, 3! hello we are!" the tallest boy says into his microphone, raising his right hand at an angle in front, and the group follows, "vns!"

they bow together, making the crowd cheer and clap, chanting the group's name after them. the mc appears on the stage, wearing a wide smile along with the ripped jeans and a black jacket that goes well with his sharp features.

"that was indeed amazing! i'm sure your fans loved the performance, am i right guys?" he says, glancing at the crowd that roars loudly, chanting a chorus of 'yes'. "great! this day is memorable and i must say you guys are doing a great job."

"thank you," the members bow slightly with a smile.

"come on, have a seat, i've got a few questions to ask, everyone would like to know more about our rising stars." the mc smiles back, gesturing his hand towards the seats that the staff placed for them.

"ah sure," one of the boys nods, taking their seats as the mc does the same, holding his flashcards and the mic in either of his hands.

"awesome, let's start with the introduction of the members." he says, gesturing towards the girl at the extreme right.

"hello everyone, my name is mia." the girl smiles, waving at the squealing crowd and the cameras, "i'm 18, and i'm the visual and main vocalist of the group."

"hey guys," the boy next to mia speaks, waiting for the fans to calm down as he flashes his attractive half smile and continues, "i'm clay, 16 years old. i'm the vocalist, dancer and sub rapper of the group."

"hi guys, my names is jihun, i'm 19 years old." another boy says with a smile, doing a peace sign, "i'm the leader, visual, vocalist and lead rapper of the group. also i'm the oldest member."

"hey everyone, i'm 15, and my name is jake. i'm a dancer, sub vocalist and rapper of the group."

"hello everyone, i'm aera. i'm 14 years old, visual, lead vocalist, dancer and the rapper of the group, and i'm the youngest."

the fans cheer for them, making the members smile as they exchange glances while the mc continues to speak, "well, that's amazing. y'all are so young and full of energy. moving on, would you tell more the group's name?"

"ah yes," jihun speaks, "our group's name is vns, which stands for violette and sapphirez as both the colors hold a special meaning for the members and even independently. violette was chosen because of it's royal and ambitious nature, y'know the ability to achieve. and sapphire was taken as a symbol of longevity, love and passion, both for our work and our fans. so yeah, that's how vns has it's name." he smiles, nodding with contentment.

"that is fascinating and so meaningful." the mc praises, "the fans had a lot of theories and rumours going on even before your debut, and there's one according to which you all are good at everything. is that true? would you like to say something?"

"well, i won't say we're good at everything. but we do try our best in everything we do and when we come together, it's definitely special." jihun says.

"yeah, even during our trainee years we were taught to be together and be assets for each other. for instance, if one of us is not able to do a certain thing, the rest four can always have their back. so that makes it more meaningful." mia says.

"yes absolutely, team work is essential between members." the mc nods, "there are scenes from shootings and on the official social media platforms of the members, especially with the maknae, which i'm sure you must've seen too. how does it feel to be eldest and youngest? was it always the same with your siblings too?"

the members chuckle at the question, each of them glancing at aera who smiles and looks at jihun as he speaks, "being the eldest is hard for sure, but i think i was used to it, since i too have a younger sibling who is aera's age. so she's almost my sister and we do have a lot of fun be it in the shoots or back in the dorm."

aera giggles at him, making him smile as he pats her head, "that is great. aera, are the members good to you?" the mc asks.

"yes, they're all really nice and take care of me. i used to miss my family during the beginning years, so they would stay with me and made sure i wasn't crying alone. jihun oppa and mia unnie even feed me with them."

everyone including the mc, members and the crowd awed at aera's sweet and innocent answer, while she giggles glancing at the two elder members.

"jake and clay don't feed you?" the mc chuckles.

"clay does sometimes, but jake says i have hands and i should use them." aera laughs.

"they fight a lot! jake and aera are like the tom and jerry version of humans." mia jokes.

"noona!" jake whispers nudging her to keep it a secret and not expose him like that, earning a laughter from the fans.

"y'all are adorable," the mc voices, "well i wish you all the best of luck for future. it was amazing talking to you guys, i hope your fandom grows and their love and support for you never lessens. congratulations."

"thank you," the members stand with him, bowing in respect to him and to the fans. they waved at the cheering and squealing fans one last time before heading backstage.

"did you see that?!" aera gasps, jumping towards jihun and mia, hugging both of them at once, "there were so many people! i can't beleive they came to see us!"

"i know right?" mia looks dazed with her sparkling eyes reducing to crescents as she smiles widely, hugging the younger girl back.

"today went well," jihun nods, "where are the boys though?"

"hyung!" jake runs to him from behind, showing his phone, "twitter!"

"what happened?"

"hyung!" clay joins with a similiar level of excitement, pointing at the phone, "vns is trending!"

"this is incredible!" jihun and mia gasp together, exchanging excited glances while aera is still standing between them, peeking in jake's phone to see where they're trending.

"they're calling, ri baby." jihun chuckles.

"i'm not surprised." arra sighs, "everybody calls me baby now."

"that's because you're adorable." mia says.

"i'm more adorable, right noona?" jake asks.

"you both are adorable." she chuckles, "now let's go."

they remove their wired microphones and makeup, sitting in their waiting room as they got changed and decided to eat something after a tiring day that also made them starve. jihun opens the bowl of black bean noodles for himself, calling the younger members to join him as well.

jake sits near him, mocking aera for being late as he takes the chopsticks and starts eating before her. clay and mia join them too chuckling on hearing the maknae whining at them for not waiting for her as she was still busy with the stylists who undid her hair and removed the earings and makeup.

she smiles up at the stylist once she was done and hurries up to the couch, sitting on the armrest next to jihun, leaning forward with open mouth, hand pointing at the noodles. he takes a bite himself and feeds the next one to her, nodding his head as he asked if it's okay.

"it's a little spicy," aera said, "but i can eat it." she adds quickly, knowing jake won't hesitate eating it too.

"ri, try this, it's nice." clay says, passing her a cheese roll while mia hands her the juice she likes, and giving one to jake. a camera records their interaction, often joking and playing along among each other, creating a moment for their fans and themselves.

"eat quickly aera, we'll be leaving then." their manager says with a chuckle on seeing the girl still busy eating, holding a juice in her left hand and two cheese rolls in the right hand while jihun is feeding her the noodles. "someone's here to see you." the man says, earning quick glances from the members.

"who?"

a man same as their manager, comes in, smiling at the five members earning a smile back from them as they recognise him as bts' manager, "come in boys," he says, and seven boys enter the room, making the vns members gasp, staring at their senior artist group smiling at them.

aera chokes on her food, watching her brothers with wide eyes and then at their manager, mouth forming an 'o'. jihun keeps the bowl of noodles on the table and stands up with his members except for aera and bows to the older boys.

"hey" they greet the debut group with handshakes and hugs.

"someone's not happy to see us i guess? shall we go back?" jimin says, nodding towards aera who shakes her head quickly, gulping her food and stands up, giving him a hug that lasts slightly longer, making the brother chuckle.

he leans down, rubbing her back and pulls away to look at her face, "aw why are you crying?" he chuckles, cupping her face, making aera sob louder as she hugs him again, mumbling something that the boys couldn't understand.

"my child," jimin kisses her head, "oppa missed you more."

aera sniffs softly, pulling away and goes to jungkook who smiles and carries her instantly, showering her face with smooches, making her giggle despite the teary eyes, "koo, i missed you a lot."

"i missed you more than you missed me."

"no, i missed you more."

"no, i did."

"i did."

"i did."

aera laughs at him, holding her hand in front of his mouth feeding him the cheese roll which he ate quickly, letting her down on her feet. she smiles, hugging taehyung next and feeds him the last cheese roll, making him smile and ruffle her hair.

"appa!" she giggles as yoongi opens his arms quickly, hugging her tightly and kisses her head. "cheese rolls finished" she says, making him laugh with the others while she hugged jin, namjoon and hoseok tightly, kissing their cheeks and telling him how she missed them, their voice, games, hugs and kisses.

aera continues with her meal as they all sit and talk about their performance. it was mostly, jihun and mia talking as the younger ones were still busy eating, occasionally adding a phrase or two to show that they're listening indeed.

"ahh! that is mine!" aera shrieks, hitting jake as she snatches her juice back, earning a smack from him in return.

"stop it guys," mia says.

"he took my juice! and now he's hitting me! his name should be jerk instead of jake!"

"yah! and what about your name? aera means love but all you're doing is spreading hate towards me!"

"wow," taehyung sighs, "are they always like this?"

"pretty much," jihun nods, turning to kids and pulled aera back, "sit here and eat."

"he's-"

"jake, come here." mia says, "and no getting up from here."

"okay" the two nod, focusing on their own food, earning amused chuckles from bts.

"wow, i didn't know she listens to anyone except us." jungkook says, "you two are great."

jihun laughs and shakes his head, "she's adorable and listens to us most of the times. especially after we started living in the dorm together, they're used to us and the scolding now."

"yeah, it was a little difficult when they were much younger, but it's fine now." mia adds with a smile.

"thanks a lot, we were worried how she'll live without us y'know, but i'm glad she has you guys." yoongi says.

"yeah, anyways, apart from the emotional talk. i wanna say your performance was amazing." jungkook says, "it didn't feel like we were watching a debut stage. your confidence, stage presence and even the audience, all of that made it like a wholesome mini concert."

"ah really? thank you." jihun bows his head, "it's a great compliment, especially from bts sunbaenim."

"bts sunbaenim," aera repeats with a giggle, "jungkookie sunbaenim."

"yeah, they're our seniors right?" jihun says.

"mm-hmm, i didn't know they were sunbaenim oppa." she says, getting up and sat on jimin's lap, "why didn't you tell me you're sunbaenim?"

"i thought you knew that."

"i didn't think of it."

"anyways, do you wanna go home?" jungkook asks, earning a quick glance from aera as she stares at him for a moment and then at her members and manager.

"you can go for a day," the manager says with a smile, "you missed them didn't you?"

"i did," aera nods, "but jihun oppa and mia unnie, jake and clay will miss me."

"it's okay, you can go." jihun chuckles, "tomorrow we have a shoot, so we have to meet anyway."

aera smiles and stands up from jimin's lap, going to give jihun a hug and shakes her head, "but you all are not seeing your family too. isn't it cheating if i go with them and you can't?"

"no kiddo, we can't see our families because they don't live here. but your family is here, in fact they work in the same company as us. so you should utilise that wisely." jihun says, patting her head.

"also, you wanted to home right? you missed them and wanted to see them. so go home. we'll be happy if our maknae is happy." mia smiles at her.

"yeah, they're right." clay nods, "go with them, but you better come back tomorrow."

"i will." aera giggles, hugging them together and looks at jimin.

"you've got great people by your side." the brother smiles, and glances at the four bandmates of his sister, "thank you so much."

"no problem, hyung." jihyun smiles, "she's like our sister, and honestly it feels weird when she's not around."

bts smiles response, ready to leave as aera looked too excited to go with them. she climbed on the couch, stopping jungkook and made him give her a piggy back, while occasionally kissing his cheek as he walked out of the room.

aera's holding a phone, watching their performance as they couldn't watch it earlier, and nods to herself, looking serious during the analysis. her eyes watch the performance video precisely on repeat, until she's satisfied and puts it away.

"riri's a professional now." hoseok laughs in amusement, making her giggle.

"jihun oppa said we should watch our performances and see if there are mistakes so we can do better next time."

"he's right," jimin nods, "that's how you improve yourself."

"yes," she grins, standing up and removes his hand from his lap, making space for herself, "did you see my rap? i was trying to do it like appa, hobi oppa and joonie oppa."

"you did and awesome job." yoongi says, "don't try to copy us, make your own style, so that people admire you like you do to us."

aera nods, smiling widely at him, "i'll learn everything quickly and do my best."

"that's our girl!"
