𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘆

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐓 in their seats as Lillian got to know them,

"So Luke's jersey?" Quinn asked as he looked at the girl,

She wore it to every game that season,

"He gave it to me at the beginning of the season as I needed a new one," Lillian explained as she ran her fingers through her hair,

"Now no offense," she added as she turned to face the boys,

"No sentence ever starts off good when it starts like that," Jack pointed out as he sent her a teasing grin,

"Why are you both here?" The blonde asked as she cocked her head,

These were by far the weirdest guests they had ever gotten at the Yost in Lillian's opinion.

"Don't you enjoy getting to know us?" Quinn let out a dramatic scoff,

"I do," the girl was quick to shake her head,

"But you two are literal NHL players," she pointed out in a duh tone as though the boys didn't know that they were.

"I missed the team," Quinn explained as he smiled,

"I had some time off," Jack nodded as he honestly just wanted to tag along in the trip,

"Now why are you sat here and not in your normal spot?" He added as he knew that Lillian was in a different seat,

She warned them when they arrived that if they got lost it wasn't her fault as she didn't know where she was.

"Because those parents scare me," Lillian explained as she motioned to the parents who were always there,

It was cute but not when they were yelling in your ear.

"And it's nice to talk to someone my own age and also Quinn," she added causing two different reactions from the boys,

"Hey!" Quinn let out a gasp as his jaw dropped,

"Luke was so right about you!" Jack let out a laugh as he threw his head back,

"Huh?" Lillian cocked her head as she furrowed her eyebrows,

"Luke told us that you were going to pick on one of us throughout the night," Quinn explained as he ran his fingers through the end of his hair,

"And that it would probably be me because you love him," he added as he motioned to his brother who had

"He told you that you're one of my favorites!" It was now Lillian's turn to drop her jaw as she turned a shade of pink as she grew embarrassed,

"I'm honoured honestly," Jack confessed as he placed his hand on her knee as he smiled,

The girl used all of her self restraint to not melt on the spot by the gesture.

"How does Trevor make it and I don't?" Quinn asked snapping the duo out of the trance they were in,

"Honestly I think it's the hair that sent him over the edge," Lillian explained as she tried to ignore how pretty Jacks eyes were,

Since Ethan turned her down she was finally enjoying a bit of flirting.

"Look they're starting!" The girl cheered as she heard the horn go.

The game had ended and Lillian somehow hadn't embarrassed herself around the older Hughes boys yet.

"So you've never been to an NHL game?" Jack asked as he didn't know if he had heard the girl right,

"I've never been to a hockey game where Ethan wasn't playing," Lillian nodded as she really wasn't in hockey arenas if Ethan wasn't around.

"You should come to Jersey sometime," the brunette proposed as he watched the girls eyes sparkle,

"Only if you're playing," the blonde shot back as she smiled,

"I'll try," the hockey player nodded as he saw the Canadian walk behind the girl,

"Good game out there dude," he added as he dapped the boy up,

"Thanks," Ethan nodded not taking his eyes off of the blonde,

"You played so well!" Lillian cheered as she sent Ethan a smile completely unaware as to the glaring standoff that the brunettes were having.

"I think that Luke was looking for you," Ethan lied through his teeth as he smiled,

"Oh thanks," Jack nodded as Lillian moved away from Ethan's side,

"It was nice to meet you Lilly," he added as he hugged the girl,

Lillian was going to have to find out what cologne the middle Hughes sibling used because damn he smelt good.

"You too Jack," Lillian smiled as she watched the boy walk off,

Ethan frowned at the duo as he felt like he should have had vomit in his mouth,

Jack used his nickname for his girl and Ethan was just meant to stand around and act all okay with that?

It all would have been a lot easier if he had just told Lillian that he liked her too because then no boy would be around her like that.

"What?" The blonde furrowed her eyebrows as she could tell that he was in his own little world,

"Come on," the brunette tugged on her hand as he motioned to her to hurry up.

Ethan pulled Lillian out of the Yost arena as he swore that he was seeing red,

"You're hurting me!" Lillian muttered as the boy was squeezing her wrist,

"Sorry," Ethan was quick to apologise as he let her go when they got to his car,

"Now what is your problem?" The girl let out a scoff as she couldn't understand his outburst that he had back in the arena,

"You were just flirting with Luke's brother and you're asking me that!" The boy matched her tone as he couldn't believe the words coming out of her mouth,

"I don't know if you remember or not but you're the one who turned me down so I can flirt with whoever I want." The blonde reminded him that she had confessed her feelings to him just under a month ago,

"And there's nothing that you can do about-" she added as she pushed her finger into his chest with each word that she said.

"Just shut up okay," the brunette grumbled as he pushed her against the door of the car before he trapped her by placing his hands on either side of her,

It reminded him of the first time he confessed his feelings to her, but this time they weren't in her childhood bedroom.

"Not whilst you're acting unreasonable!" Lillian used all of the anger that she had left to yell at him,

"I don't want you flirting with them because I still fucking love you!" Ethan's confession made it feel like the oxygen around them had been sucked up.

"This is crazy," the girl let out a laugh as she shook her head,

"I'm being serious Lilly," the boy sighed as he realised that he might have screwed up by turning her down before,

"If we do this we aren't going to fall back into our old ways," the blonde pointed out as she let out a sigh,

She wanted nothing more than to jump into his arms and say yes, but something was holding her back.

"You have my word," the brunette spoke softly as he rested his forehead on hers,

Lillian took a breath before she shut her eyes and placed her lips on his. It didn't even take Ethan a second to respond as he felt the girl place her hands on his torso before she pulled him in shutting the gap that was once there.

"Wow," Lillian whispered as she pulled away when she heard people walking towards them,

What Ethan didn't see was how the blonde placed her fingers on her lips as she smiled, the kiss was different to the one that usually had. This kiss was somehow the perfect mix of love and lust.

"You guys okay?" Mark asked as he saw the duo stood together,

"Yeah," Ethan nodded as he licked his lips tasting the girls signature cherry lip gloss,

Oh how he missed the taste of it.
