๐“๐‡๐„ ๐๐Ž๐˜๐’ ๐€๐‹๐‹ watched as the players lined up ready to start the game.

"Oh fuck me," Ethan let out groan as he saw who was in the other team,

"What?" Mark asked as he turned to the boy who was next to him,

"That's my ex," Ethan explained as he pinched the bridge of his nose,

"You've only realised that now," Luke who sat on the other side of him let out a sort as he shook his head,

"Not Lilly," Ethan let out a scoff as he looked at his teammate like he was stupid,

"Kiara," he added as he motioned to the other team,

"Who?" The boys all let out a gasp as they realised that his exes were going to play against each other,

If this wasn't an inappropriate time some of the boys would have called this the battle of the exes.

"Seventeen for them," the Canadian pointed to the brunette girl who stood at the front,

"How did they get on?" Luke was quick to ask as he knew how aggressive Lillian could be,

"Well let's just say Lillian ended her teammates senior season in high school." If the blonde was there she would have pointed out the fact that it was an accident,

Both girls had gone in for a tackle during training and Lillian was just lucky to end off on the better side of the tackle.

"Maybe they've both grown up?" Mark proposed as he shrugged hoping that he was right,

"Let's hope so," Ethan nodded as he wanted to believe that the girls wouldn't end up in a fist fight.

"Surprised to see you playing," Kiara smirked as she walked in front of Lillian,

"I broke your one leg," Lillian matched the girls tone as she smiled,

"Don't think I can't break the other," she added through her teeth as she wanted to get this all over and done with,

"Is that a threat?" The striker asked as she cocked her head,

"Remember you're on my turf now," the defender shook her head as she was ready to have a fight,

She hadn't come close to being sent off once this season.

"I'm glad Ethan is here," the brunette pointed out as she had seen her ex who was stood in the stands,

"So he can watch me beat you," she added as she wanted to win this game,

"Lillian come on!" Indigo called out as she realised that Lillian was still talking to someone.

It wasn't even the 20th minute when Lillian received her first yellow card,

"God stop being such a bitch," Kiara groaned as she got off of the ground,

"Getting under your skin already?" Lillian asked as she smirked,

"Hope you're ready for me to get comfy there," she added as she made her way back as the other team had gotten a free kick from the challenge.

โ‹‡โ‹†โœฆโ‹†โ‹‡

It had been a rough game with all of the commentary from Kiara,

"Maybe that's why Ethan dumped your ass," Kiara muttered as she got the ball but was quickly met with a leg that took the ball out from beneath her,

"Ref!" She groaned as she rolled around the ground clutching her leg,

"I barely tackled her," Lillian grumbled as the referee came over and pulled another card out of his pocket,

"You're off!" The ref blew his whistle as the red card went into the air.

"Things go from bad to worse for UMich as number seventy three Lillian Fraser is sent off!" The announcer explained over the loud speaker's obvious to the fact that Lillian wanted to go into there and punch the boy.

"Lill-" Indigo sighed as she went over to comfort her friend,

"Get off of me!" Lillian yelled as she pulled away before making her way back to the locker rooms.

โ‹‡โ‹†โœฆโ‹†โ‹‡

Lillian stormed into the locker room as she found herself punching one of the lockers out of frustration,

"Something tells me that it won't make you feel better," Ethan sighed as he leaned against another locker,

He had come to find her the second that she was sent off,

He had also told the boys that he should be the only one to go talk to her as he knew how she could be when she got sent off.

"Go away Ethan," Lillian grumbled as she sat down on the bench feeling this wave of defeat pour over her.

"Hey come on," the brunette muttered as he sat next to her,

"Let's talk about it," he added as he placed his hand on her back as he watched her shove her fade into her hands,

"I fucked up okay!" The blonde turned to him as her eyes were full of rage,

"She got in my head with some stupid comments about you and I couldn't let her!" She added as she began to ramble on about the different ways that things went wrong,

"Lilly," the hockey player moved his hand to her thigh as she was quick to pull away,

"I should get going," the soccer player pointed out as she got up,

"Let me take you," Ethan stood up with her,

"I shouldn't," Lillian shook her head as she wanted to be alone,

"We can get ice cream," the brunette proposed as he smiled,

"Okay but only because my hand is sore," the blonde nodded as she looked at her hand that was now red,

"Let me look at that," the boy mumbled as he grabbed her hand and looked at it,

"I think we've got frozen peas at the house," he added as he nodded to himself,

"Are you trying to nurse me back to health?" The girl joked as she let out a snort,

"Nurse Ethan does have a good ring to it," the hockey player nodded as he matched her tone,

"There's that smile that I've been looking for!" He added as the girl finally cracked a smile,

"Thanks Ethan," the soccer player softly smiled as she looked at him,

"Now come on," Ethan held his hand out as he grabbed the girls bag knowing that Coach Klein had a strict policy that the girls had to get out of there before she came in you had been sent off.

โ‹‡โ‹†โœฆโ‹†โ‹‡

The duo were in the kitchen as Lillian sat on the counter,

"You've got a good punch on you," Ethan smiled as he placed the bag of frozen peas on her hand,

"I had some good practice," Lillian pointed out as she had gotten into some fights at school,

"And you had an even better coach," the brunette pointed out as he had taught her everything that she knew.

"You cold?" He added as he watched her shiver,

"Frozen food, sweat and ice cream really aren't a good combination," the blonde pointed out as she took another bite of her ice cream,

"Here," the boy grabbed his jacket as he handed it to her,

"Now who were you picturing when you punched that locker?" He asked as he watched her put it over her head before she grabbed the peas and put them back on hand.

"Do I need to even answer that?" The girl let out a scoff as she softly kicked him,

"I thought patients were meant to be nice to their nurses," Ethan mumbled as he rubbed his leg as he heard the door open,

"There's our little ball of anger," Mark teased as he saw the girl who sat on the table,

"Sorry about that guys," Lillian turned red as she grew embarrassed,

"Don't be," Dylan shook his head as he sat next to her,

"I'm just sad we couldn't watch you really punch her," he added as he smiled causing her to let out a laugh.

"Right she would have been put in her place!" The girl nodded in agreement as she was pulled into a hug,

"Let's not be promoting violence to the girl who just got sent off here." Luke shook his head as he crossed his arms looking at the girl,

"Hey I said I was sorry!" Lillian pointed out as her jaw dropped,

"Ignore Luke," Mark shook his head as he reached over to flick the boy,

"We are proud of you," he added as he messed with her now undone hair,

"For punching someone?" Luke asked as he cocked his head,

"I think saying that she defended her boys sounds better," Ethan corrected him as he sent Lillian a smile,

"Much better," Lillian nodded in agreement as she matched his grin.

AN: I think that this is my favourite chapter so far in the book, angry Lillian has my heart lmao.

So when this book ends (we aren't even a third of the way through it I'm just impatient) I'd like to come out with an NHL book.

Whilst I know of a few players and have a few of them in mind for books, who would you like to see get that book?

Now I promise that yous won't be getting long ANs like this for a bit โค๏ธ
