๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐'๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ himself this frustrated with Lillian like this in months.
"You're overthinking this!" Ethan groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose,
"You want me to sit with your parents for a whole hockey game and you can't see the problem with that?" Lillian shot back as she crossed her arms,
"They love you!" The brunette pointed out as he ran his fingers through his hair,
"They loved me as your girlfriend," the blonde corrected him as she sat down on her bed,
The duo had been in her room bickering for the last twenty minutes.
"Think about how weird it would be if you were sat with my parents at one of my games," she added as the boy sat next to her,
"Oh my god," the hockey player muttered as his hand went over his mouth,
"Exactly!" The soccer player nodded as Ethan was finally picking up on what she was talking about,
"As much as I love your parents I don't want to see them," she explained as she pushed her hair behind her back,
"But what should I tell them?" Ethan asked as he fixed his cap,
"That I had some assignment due tomorrow and left it to the last minute," Lillian shrugged as this wasn't really her problem,
"Sounds about right," the brunette nodded as he smirked when she let out a scoff,
"Hey!" The blonde grabbed the pillow behind her to hit him with,
"You're one to talk," she added in a grumble as she furrowed her eyebrows.

The roommates were getting ready for two very different nights as Lillian was staying in and Indigo was going on a second date.
"Where are you two going tonight?" Lillian asked as she looked up from her magazine to see her roommate who was getting ready,
"Just to the bowling alley," Indigo explained as she grabbed her sneakers,
"And not back to her room?" The blonde teased as she wiggled her eyebrows,
"We'll see if she lets me win or not," the brunette shot back as she was very competitive,
"Isn't she meant to come in five minutes?" She added as there was a knock at the door,
"Maybe she's early," the defender shrugged as she saw that her roommate wasn't ready yet,
"Could you stall her?" The striker begged as she began rushing,
"You want me to meet your girlfriend?" Lillian asked as her eyes went wide,
"She's not my girlfriend," Indigo corrected her as she rolled her eyes,
"But you want her to be," the blonde teased as she let out a laugh,
"Lillian I'm not getting any younger," Brett, Ethans younger brother, called out from the other side of the door,
"Brett?" Lillians jaw dropped as she opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" She added as she cocked her head,
"Ethan said you had a tuba assignment due tomorrow so I asked Mark where your dorm was." Brett explained as he let out a snort,
"You'd think that after the way you played the recorder he'd pick something less mus-" he added before he was cut off with a slap to the back of the head,
"Ow!" The boy let out a groan as he forgot about the memory of the girl horrible track record when it came to music,
"Who is that Lillian?" Indigo asked as she put her earrings in,
"Oh this is Brett-" Lillian began got introduce him before she was cut off,
"Ethan's younger but far more attractive brother," Brett smiled as he held his hand out for the older girl to shake,
"I'll let you hit him this time," the blonde laughed as she looked at her roommate,
"Sorry kid you're not my type," the striker shook her head as she heard a knock at the door,
"Now that is who I am actually waiting for," she added with a smile,
"See you later!" Lillian waved as the girl left the room,
"Now can I ask you what you are doing in my dorm?" She added as she turned her attention to the boy,
"I want to know why you aren't coming to the game," Brett explained as he sat on one of the chairs in the room,
"Because your family is there," the blonde spoke in a duh tone,
"We're lovely people," the brunette shot back causing the girl to let out a snort,
"It's not that," Lillian smiled as she shook her head,
"It's the fact that they're my exes parents." She added as she raked her fingers through her hair,
"My parents still love you," Brett pointed out,
"Even once you two broke up my mom would ask me about you," he added as his mother was borderline in love with the girl,
"Mama Edwards is a lady of my heart," the blonde placed her hand on her chest,
"See so come see her," the brunette spoke in a duh tone,
"Look I can sit between you guys if you like," he offered as he didn't want the girl to feel uncomfortable,
"Fine but you're buying me a soda when we get there," Lillian mumbled as she went to her closet to find a jacket to wear,
"Deal," Brett nodded as he smiled,
Even he wanted the duo back together.

Lillian followed behind Brett as she made her way to her seat,
"Lillian darling!" Tara let out a gasp as she saw the blonde,
"Hi guys," Lillian sent her an awkward wave as she got to her seat,
"Ethan said you weren't coming," Lee pointed out as he got up to hug the girl,
"I wasn't meant to but I figured that I should support the boys," the sophomore explained as she smiled,
"Are you wearing your boyfriends number?" Lee asked as he noticed the new number on the girls back,
"Oh Luke?" Lillian let out a laugh as she shook her head,
"He's like the extra brother that I never had," she explained with a smile as she squeezed the cup that she was holding,
"He gave me this after the breakup so that I could have one with no baggage involved," the girl began to ramble unaware to that fact that she had turned a shade of pink,
"I hope that you are sitting with me," Tara was quick to change the subject as she could tell that the girl was uncomfortable,
"I wouldn't do anything else," Lillian nodded as she took her seat ready to get the game over with.

Ethan felt like a naughty child as he saw his ex and his parents laughing about something.
"Did I miss something?" Ethan asked as he hesitantly walked over to the group,
"Lillian here was telling us about how you woke her up before eight to get work done one day,"
"In my defense that was at the beginning of the year," the hockey player pointed out as it had been a few weeks since then,
"Those are hours of sleep I'll never get back," Lillian shot back as she stuck her tongue out at him,
"Very funny," the brunette rolled his eyes as he couldn't help but smile,
"We're proud of how you played tonight son," Lee spoke in a more serious tone as he hugged his eldest,
"Thanks dad," Ethan nodded as he noticed that the blonde had now left,
"Who is she running off to now?" Tara asked as she let out a laugh seeing Lillian go jump on to one of the boys backs,
"Did she tell you about befriending mg roommate last year?" Ethan cocked his head as he didn't know how much was spoken about,
"Oh that's Markie," his mom nodded to herself as she connected the dots,
"How much did she tell you?" The sophomore asked as he let out a groan,
"Enough for us to say we want her back in the house," Tara spoke plainly as she sent her son a soft glare,
Out of all of her children Lillian was definitely her favourite, and Lillian wasn't even her child!
"I don't remember us kicking her out," Brett mumbled as he thought to himself,
"Because your brother did that," the boys mom explained in a duh tone,
"I didn't dump her!" Ethan groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose,
"Okay maybe let's talk about the game?" Lee proposed as he figured that it was not the time to grill their son.

Lillian smiled as Ethan walked her back to her dorm,
"So what happened to not coming?" Ethan asked as he cocked his head,
It was weird how seeing her in a different guys shirt still hurt even after all this time.
"Brett convinced me," Lillian shrugged as she tugged at the ends of her jersey,
"With?" The boy waited to see what it was that his brother had done.
"A soda," the girl explained with a smile,
"That's all it would have taken?" The brunettes jaw dropped as he sent her a plain look,
He felt robbed.
"From you?" The blonde asked as she cocked her head,
"A little bit more," she added as she grinned,
"Name the price," the hockey player was serious as the girl opened the door to her room,
"I think it's one that you should be able to figure out," the soccer player explained as she placed her bag on the ground,
"You know I would have happily come back to do that if you hadn't told my mother all of your issues with me." Ethan pointed out as he watched her pout,
"Someone's turned boring," Lillian was now shamelessly flirting as she enjoyed the vibe that brought,
"In what way?" The brunette furrowed his eyebrows as he leaned on her door,
"Well the old Ethan wouldn't be talking anymore," the blonde spoke in a soft tone that only they could hear,
"Some things can be arranged," the hockey player smirked as he took a step closer to her before the duo heard a group of girls laughing in the hallway,
"You should go Ethan," the soccer player mumbled as she tucked her hair behind her ear,
"I'll see you around Lilly," Ethan sent her a nod before he left her room shutting her door in the process as he tried to ignore the fact that his pants were now tighter than before,
That whole thing got him flustered.

AN: Bit by bit they're becoming more comfortable with each other again but in that questionable zone of flirting and I'm living for it!
Also Brett is 100% my version of the chaotic younger sibling.
