"Surprised to see that you beat me here," Ethan smiled as he took his seat next to Lillian,

"Was getting comfy for when she yelled at you again," Lillian spoke in a duh tone as a cheeky grin found itself on her lips,

"I was going to give you this but now I won't." The boy motioned to the iced coffee that was in his hand,

"I was kidding!" The girl let out a gasp as she reached out to grab it,

Because she got there so early she had missed out on her morning coffee,

"Thank you," she added as she took a sip of it, Ethan remembered her extra shot of vanilla syrup.

"You're overly cheerful this morning," the brunette furrowed his eyebrows as he thought that the girl would have been a little bit quieter at 8:45 in the morning,

"We don't have practice today because of the weekends win," the blonde explained, don't get her wrong she loved soccer, but nothing beat the rest day movie watch parties that Indigo and Lillian had.

"Aren't you lucky," Ethan watched as the girl pulled her laptop out of her bag as she hadn't taken the time to get set up before the boy arrived,

She thought that she was going to have a lot more time and also didn't want to miss it if he got yelled at.

"Have you guys started preseason yet?" Lillian asked curiously as she assumed that Coach Naurato was doing his whole tough preseason thing,

"We start tomorrow," the boy explained as he ran his fingers through his hair,

"You excited?" The girl remembered how in the previous year Ethan spent the night before preseason started in Lillians dorm as he couldn't sleep, he was so excited.

"Yeah the team seems to be a good bunch," the brunette nodded as the team had a few team bonding evenings already,

"Rutger is definitely my favourite new man," the blonde decided to tease the older boy as she wanted to push his buttons

"And old?" Ethan asked as he watched her jokingly think about it,

"Mark," Lillian spoke in a duh tone as she let out a laugh when she saw how the Canadians face dropped,

"You don't like being being nice do you?" The boy muttered as he took a sip of his own coffee,

"No for you, I'm honest." the girl smiled as she leaned over the arm rest to look at him,

"Now class lets get started," Professor McKinley smiled as she walked into class causing Lillian to jump back into her seat as

The boys were all in the locker room as Ethan felt the need to say something,

"Rut wait up!" Ethan called out as he caught up with the younger boy,

"Hey dude what's up?" Rutger turned around as he smiled,

"Can we talk for a second," the Canadian began as he scratched his neck,

"I've got to ask you for a favour," he added as he hoped that the conversation to go by easily,

"Anything you name it," the American nodded seeming desperate to please his older teammate,

"You gotta back off of Lilly," Ethan explained as he let out a sigh,

Lillian was bound to kill him if she ever learnt what he was saying.

"Blonde girl, yay height," he added as he motioned to where she stood to when she was next to him,

"Doesn't ring a bell," Rutger genuinely had no clue who he was talking about,

The only Lilly he knew was his goldfish from fifth grade.

"The girl at Starbucks yesterday," the sophomore spoke in a duh tone as he raised his eyebrows in confusion,

"Oh Lillian," the freshman nodded as he took a moment to note her nickname,

"Is she your girl or Lukes?" He added as he knew that he had to ask either of his teammates because the curiosity was going to was going to get to him,

He was a nosy person.

"What?" The Canadian felt his eyes nearly pop out of his head,

Lillian hadn't been called his girl in years.

"Well she seems to be with both of you so just figured I should ask which boy is the reason why I'm stepping back." The American spoke in a duh tone as he shrugged,

"She's not with Luke, they're like siblings." Ethan shook his head as the picture of them being romance made him feel sick,

"So she's with you?" Rutger used the process of elimination to answer his question,

This was meant to be the time that Ethan should have told him the truth.

"Sort of," the sophomore nodded as he awkwardly stood there,

"Oh so it's like that," the freshman let out a gasp,

"My bad bro," he added as he walked off feeling embarrassed,

He thought that Ethan and Lillian were sleeping together.

It was getting late when the girls were playing cards in their room,

"Any new drama that we haven't learnt about?" Alexis asked as she lay on her stomach,

The girls would often go to one persons room to play cards, it was either that or movie night.

"She's partners with Ethan for a project," Indigo explained as she smiled,

"Wait what!" Candace let out a gasp as she slapped her hand over her mouth in surprise,

"It's not actually that bad," Lillian confessed as she picked up another card,

They girls were playing rummy.

"He's good company," she added as she moved her cards around ignoring the shocked faces that sat besides her;

"Did we just go back in a Time Machine or something?" Alexis cocked her head as she swore she wasn't hearing it properly,

"No," the blonde let out a laugh as she smiled,

"I'm just giving him a second chance according to Indigo," she explained as she motioned to her roommate,

"And do you like it?" Candace asked as she motioned to her to continue,

"Surprisingly," Lillian nodded as she thought about it,

"Yeah," she missed him,

"Aww," the girls gushed as they placed their hands on their chests,

"Guys I like talking to him," the blonde rolled her eyes as she couldn't understand the girls responses,

"I didn't say that I was ready to fuck him or something." She added in a duh tone as her lack of a filter was clear in that moment.

Luke was in need of girl advice and Lillian was the one place that he knew he could go.

"Step into my office," Lillian smiled as she opened the door,

"Where's Indigo?" Luke asked as he gave the girl a side hug before he walked in,

"She's at a friends dorm," the blonde explained as she sat on the small couch in their dorm,

"So what is it that I can do for you?" She added as she patted the space next to her,

"I need advice," the brunette explained as he joined her on the navy couch,

"Have you already gone to your brothers and your teammates?" The girl asked as she knew that she was not usually the most reasonable person when it came to advice,

According to Mark she was impulsive.

"Well seeing as this is about a woman," the boy began before he was cut off,

"This is about a woman!" Lillian let out a gasp as she bounced her legs in this excited fit,

"Yes," Luke nodded as he sent her a confused look not understanding why the girl was so happy,

"Why didn't you start with that?" The blonde asked as she cocked her head,

"Because you didn't let me finish!" The brunette shot back as he let out a scoff,

"Sorry," the girl was quick to apologise,

"What's up?" She added as she rested her head on her hand waiting for him to continue,

"There is this girl I like," the boy began as he cut himself off,

"No reaction?" He added as he was met with silence,

"I was waiting to hear where I come into this?" Lillian explained as she shrugged she raked her fingers through her hair,

"How do I know if she likes me," Luke asked as he spoke in a soft tone,

It was like he was embarrassed to admit it.

"Just hang out with her," the blonde spoke in a duh tone as though it should have been the most obvious answer,

"How is that meant to help me!" The brunette let out a groan as he rested his back into the couch,

"Just go with your gut," the girl explained as she cleared up what she meant,

"Are you being serious?" The boy sent her a confused look as he cocked his head,

"Honestly Ethan didn't pick up on any of my cues for years!" Lillian let out a laugh as she remembered what she had to put up with when she liked him,

"Really?" Luke asked as he matched her laugh,

"Yeah," the blonde smiled as she saw the boy in a fit of giggles,

"It got to the point where I would twirl my hair and he still didn't notice!" She added as she still couldn't understand how that didn't make it obvious,

"Oh god!" The brunette slapped his hand over his mouth,

"Look Luke the best advice I can give you is to just hang out with her," the girl explained as she remembered that she actually had to give him some form of advice,

Lillian thought Ethan was irritating at one point but when he stuck around after a whole she formed a crush on him.

"And if that doesn't work?" The boy asked as he looked at the girl,

Despite the fact that he was a big hockey player, Luke was so shy when it came to talking to girls, he didn't talk to Lillian for the first three weeks of knowing her because he was so shy around her. It took Mark forcing Luke to sit next to the girl at a restaurant one night and it was that night that caused them to become friends.

"You're Luke fucking Hughes," Lillian spoke in a duh tone as she looked at him like he was stupid,

"If she's not interested then it's her loss," she added with a shrug as she placed her hand on his knee trying to comfort him,

"Thanks Lillian," Luke let out this sigh that he seemed to be holding in when he hugged her,

"Just glad to be of service," the blonde smiled as she patted his back before she let him stay there for a bit longer,

It seemed like he needed it.

AN: I am loving the little moments that Lillian is getting with different guys on the team.

Also I am contemplating the idea of adding in more bits from Lillian and Ethan pre breakup (either in like flashbacks or memory notions) so let me know what you guys think of the idea of that.
