๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ phone into her bag as she smiled,
"What are you thinking about?" Indigo asked as she walked past her roommate,
"Nothing," Lillian quickly pursed her lips together as she shook her head,
"Likely story," the striker sent her a skeptical nod as she gave the younger girl her signature Ethan is here look,
Ethan wasn't here physically but she could tell that he had to be the one on the phone that got her all excited.
"Shush!" The defender groaned as she fixed the end of her braid,
"Yous ready to play?" One of their teammates called out from the other side of the locker room,
"Born ready baby!" The girls responded as they got up realising that they had a mission to complete.

The game had ended and the girls had won it due to a late goal from Indigo that had been assisted by Lillian.
"You did so well," Luke smiled as the girl looked up to see her favourite boys from the hockey team,
"You guys came!" Lillian let out a small gasp as she hugged them,
"Of course we did," Dylan spoke in a duh tone as he nodded,
"We wouldn't miss your opening game." Mackie was quick to add on in agreement,
"Thanks guys," the soccer player felt her heart grow full as she smiled,
"Come on we're going to the diner to celebrate," Mark explained as he threw his arm over the girls shoulders,
"Is he here?" Lillian asked in a quiet tone as she hadn't seen Ethan,
"He didn't want to overstep," the boy explained as he shook his head,
"This field isn't mine," the girl shot back with a snort,
"I know but he didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable," the brunette pointed out,
Ethan always cared for how she felt.
"I guess you're right," the blonde softly nodded as she grabbed her phone to see all of the messages from her friends who had watched the game,
But she only had one person she actually wanted to message.

Hours earlier in the Sophomore house stood the boys who were getting ready,
"Are you sure you don't want to come with?" Mark asked as he walked into the boys room,
"Yeah I don't want to do that to her," Ethan shook his head as he let out a sigh,
All of the boys in the house were going.
"Do what to her?" The older boy waited for him to continue,
"Freak her out," the younger boy explained as he didn't really know how to put it,
"She's already nervous for today," he added as he had seen her working on plays during their sports management class.
"Are you fine with us going then?" Although the boys were friends with her they never really stopped to see how he felt about it.
"Yeah of course," Ethan nodded as he didn't want them to stop being friends with her all of a sudden,
"Look if you change your mind, you know where we are." Mark ran his fingers as he looked at his watch, the boys were going to be late.
"And I know I can't talk for her but I know she wouldn't kick you out if you just so happened to come," he added as he sent the boy a comforting smile before he made his was out of the room and downstairs.

Lillian was sat in between the boys as they caught up on life,
Somehow it felt like something was missing without Ethan there.
"Why is there an extra chair here?" Lillian asked as she realised that the chair in front of her was empty,
Her high school English teacher would have referred to that as a symbol.
"Don't ask me, Luke booked the table." Mark shrugged as he looked at the girl,
"Hey guys!" The duo quickly turned their heads to see Ethan stood there,
This definitely felt like there was some symbolism in this equation.
"Yo Ethan!" A few of the boys got up and greeted Ethan,
"What are you doing here?" Mark asked as he was just as shocked as Lillian was,
"Well when I heard that you were going out to support the little winner here I figured that I shouldn't be the only one staying at home." Ethan explained as he sat in the seat in front of the girl,
"Congrats by the way," he added as he sent Lillian a smile,
"Thanks," Lillian matched his smile as she pushed her now messy braid behind her shoulder,
"Look at the picture one of the boys caught," Luke smiled as he motioned to the picture that Mackie had taken,
"Wait that's sick," Lillian let out a gasp as she looked at it,
"And look at this assist," Mackie revealed the video he had taken,
"Guys!" The girl let out a groan as she felt like she was met with multiple proud parents.
"What? We're proud of you." Dylan rolled his eyes as he threw his arm over the girls shoulder,
"And it's not often that you do things that we can celebrate," he added as he gave the girl a squeeze,
"Dylan!" Lillian let out a scoff as she sent him a glare,
They were the literal definition of siblings who weren't related but acted like they were.
"I'm kidding." The boy let out a laugh,
"Remind me why I put up with you?" The girl asked as she furrowed her eyebrows,
"Because you love me," the brunette smiled as he messed with her hair,
"Yo Duke!" Rutger called out causing the boy to move his attention away from her,
Lillian found herself looking at Ethan as he read a message on his phone, she remembered when he would laugh like that at her stupid messages.
"You okay?" Ethan mouthed as he nudged the girls foot with his own as he assumed that she had zoned out,
"Yeah," Lillian nodded as she grabbed her drink,
Maybe she was beginning to reconsider the fact that she calls quits on their relationship.

AN: I used every bit of self restraint in my body to stop myself from doing a double update tonight cause I'm so excited for yous to see Lillian and Ethan actually spend time together.
I have finals next week but I have prewritten enough chapters to get me past the last final so updates should remain normal, but if they don't here is the heads up.
