The Ducks all stood together on the ice opposite the new players. Bombay turned to Tibbles, "Tell me about my new kids." Tibbles nodded before looking over at the new team members. "That's Luis Mendoza," Tibbles tells Bombay as they look over to the boy he pointed out, "He's from our Miami club. A real speedster. Incredible skater." Charlie and Jesse shared a knowing look at the mention of a speedster. "I clocked him at 1.9 seconds, blue line to blue line," Tibbles informs the Coach as they watch Luis skate around the rink showing his speed.

"Good-looking skater," Connie says with an impressed expression. "Very good-looking. What do you think, Guy?" Averman asks Guy who was glaring at Luis. "Shut up, Averman!" Guy answers him before elbowing the boy making him fall to the ice. "He has one minor problem," Tibbles says as Luis attempted to slow to a stop only to go into the boards, "Has a little trouble stopping." Bombay cringed and nodded as the new kids helped Luis up. "I almost had it that time," Luis tells them only for them to hesitantly agree with the boy.

The next skater stepped up, "Yee-haw! How is everyone? Y'all ready to play some puck?" The skater moved around doing some tricks. "Hey, look. It's Hopalong Gretzky," Jesse says making the Ducks laugh. "That's Dwayne Robertson from Austin. He's the best puck handler I've ever seen," Tibbles explains. "You mean for his age," Bombay asks only for Tibbles to shake his head, "No, I don't." Dwayne began tossing the puck around with his hockey stick, "Hey, this is easier than ropin' hogs! Yee-haw!" The Ducks smiled at his enthusiasm.

Tibbles looked at Bombay, "He does have a tendency to showboat." Bombay nodded as Dwayne stepped off to the side. "There's Julie "The Cat" Gaffney. She won the state championship for Maine three years in a row," Tibbles explains as Julie steps into the goal. "Well, we have a goalie. Goldberg," Bombay says as they turn to watch the team hit some pucks only for Goldberg to fail at stopping all of them. "Watch this," Tibbles says with a smirk. They all watched as Julie caught every puck that was hit making Bombay's eyes widen, "Well, we... could use a backup."

Bombay watched as one of the new kids stepped up, "Isn't that the kid from the Olympics? The figure skater?" Tibbles nodded eagerly, "Yup. Ken Wu. What can I say? I convinced him that hockey had more of a future. We put a stick in his hands and nobody's been able to touch him." Bombay nodded impressed. The final kid, Dean Portman was listening to rock music through his headphone, "Yeah! Showtime!" Bombay looked from the tall buff teenager to Tibbles, "That guy's a teenager?" They watched as he sang the lyrics of the song, shoving Charlie and Adam to the ground as used his hockey stick as a fake guitar.

Portman shoved Averman to the ground before wrapping his arm around Dwayne yelling for him to sing with him only to push him away. Bombay looked at Tibbles, "He's a goon!" Tibbles shrugged as Portman lifted Ken Wu onto the goal and skated off. "My kids don't play that kind of hockey," Bombay states sternly. "I believe they're called enforcers, Gordon. When you play Iceland, you're gonna need him," Tibbles tells Bombay. The Ducks had enough and began arguing with the new kids leaving Bombay annoyed as Tibbles watched.

Before Bombay could do anything, an ear-piercing whistled echoed through the rink shutting everyone up. "Now this truly takes me back," The new presence spoke, a helmet covering their face. "Ah, yes! And now your team is complete," Tibbles says excitedly as everyone looked at the skater confused. "And you are?" Goldberg asks. The skater removed their helmet letting their blonde wavy hair free as she smiled, "Oh, Goldberg... I'm glad you haven't changed!" The Ducks instantly went wide-eyed as Bombay smiled widely.

"HAZEY DAISY, THE FLASH ON ICE!" Averman shouted before Jesse skated over to her and basically tackled the girl to the ground in a hug. Daisy laughed as she embraced her childhood best friend, the two smiling so much that their jaws were beginning to hurt. Averman helped Daisy off the ice and pulled her into a hug followed by the others, the new kids were left clueless as Charlie stood frozen staring at her. She was wearing an unfamiliar hockey jersey which proved his theory about her playing for a new team which he was glad she didn't stop, she was older and prettier.

The Ducks showered her in questions making her laugh and smile as Bombay looked over at Charlie who still hadn't moved from his spot. "Who is she?" Ken asks Tibbles who smiled, "She is Daisy Jacobs, The Flash on Ice. She can match Luis' speed and she used to be a Duck." Ken nodded as they turned back to the reunion. "Alright, alright... Guys! We can catch up later, right now isn't the time," Daisy tells them before skating over to Bombay who gave her a side hug. "Welcome back to the Ducks, Daisy," Bombay smiled as he spoke.

Daisy smiled at Charlie who looked away and avoided eye contact making her look down as Portman spoke up, "We don't need her!" That instantly triggered the Ducks and they began defending the girl who didn't really care for his words, he didn't know her or her skills. Bombay blew on his whistle shutting everyone up, "Enough! Now, we didn't come here to fight! We came here to play hockey! We're Team U.S.A. You represent your country. Now, I want you-" Bombay was cut off by Tibbles, "To be all that you can be, right? Ya gotta raise yourself up, guys! Ya got-"

Bombay looked over at Tibbles with raised brows while everyone laughed. After some more interruptions by Tibbles, he finally got the memo that Bombay didn't need his assistance. "Don?" Bombay started as he held out his hand for Tibbles' whistle which he handed over, "You'll get it back at the end of the school term." Everyone laughed as Tibbles left the ice. "All right, Ducks!" Bombay says looking at them before turning to the new kids, "Show 'em what you got! Let's scrimmage!" He blew the whistle and everyone got into their positions.

The scrimmage was the opportunity for them all to show off their skills, Daisy felt back at home skating alongside the Ducks again. Portman instantly took back his comment from earlier after he was shoved into the boards by Daisy who had taken the puck from him and rushed off moving faster than Luis, she passed the puck over to Guy and dodged Dwayne before taking the puck back and hitting it into the net; barely getting it past Julie. Fulton high-fived Daisy as the Ducks cheered together, Bombay noticed how much Daisy had improved over the last two years.

It wasn't until Fulton ended up with the puck and an opportunity to shoot the puck when things took an immediate turn. The Ducks quickly got out of the way while the new kids were confused, well, until they watched the puck bounce off the walls eventually hitting Tibbles in the head. He groggily woke up when Coach Bombay used smelling salts to get conscious. "I'll have a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake please," Was the first thing he said making the team laugh. "I think he'll be okay," The woman started, "Oh, he never got to introduce me. I'm Miss Mckay, the team tutor."

Bombay introduced himself as the team looked at each other before Adam spoke up, "Who said we need a tutor?" Daisy sighed knowing it was a requirement to play for Team U.S.A but didn't say anything. "I don't need no school," Portman added making Daisy smirked at him. "Miss Mckay," Goldberg stated, "We're America's team here, shouldn't we be focusing on hockey? Shall I recommend, optional attendance." Daisy shook her head at Goldberg's antics, she really did miss him. Everyone nodded in agreement with Goldberg as Daisy leaned into Fulton who wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

Miss Mckay looked up at Goldberg, "What a great idea-" She stopped allowing him to introduce himself, "Goldberg." She nodded, "Goldberg! Yes, school will be optional." They all cheered happily as Daisy scoffed playfully. "However, however," Miss Mckay continued gaining everyone's attention, "Should you not show up, you will not be eligible to play." Everyone groaned as Daisy laughed, "Nice try, guys. But it's a requirement. Read it and weep!" She winked at the team.

Daisy is back! And her return makes me smile whenever I read it.
