My eyes began to water as I started my explanation, "I had a fight tonight, so I went and obviously fought. I won over 35,000 dollars,"

Jim's eyes widened, I shot him a look telling him not to say anything, he didn't. I continued,

"After I got the money, I heard the Police so I sprinted home so I wouldn't get caught so I got him earlier. I went inside and Lilah didn't answer when I called out to her."

Jim was covering his mouth with a grim expression.

"I went upstairs," my voice began cracking as tears ran down my face, "I heard her crying so I busted down the door only to find her laying in the bathtub filled with blood tainted water." I put my face into my hands. "She tried to kill herself and I just need something to dim down the pain." I finished.

Jim looked at me with sympathy, I hate it when people do that. So instead I looked away. Unexpectedly, Jim wrapped me in a warm hug, I wanted to shove him away but instead I held onto him for dear life and cried into his shoulder.

I pulled away and wiped my tears, "Thanks." I told him.

He nodded in return and went back behind the counter brining me out a bottle of Bombay Vodka as well.

"I think you'll need it." He said simply before tending to another customer.

I silently thanked him before cracking open the bottle of Whiskey. The thick smell of cinnamon filled my senses as I began pouring my first shot. I set the bottle down on the counter and brought the shot glass to my lips. I drank it letting the spicy cinnamon coat my mouth, it burned my throat but felt nice as it went down, warming my chest.

"Screw it." I said gruffly before taking the bottle and brining it to my lips.

I began chugging it. The burning sensation in my throat brought tears to my eyes, the smell of the cinnamon suffocating my emotions. I didn't take the bottle from lips until every drop was gone. When I finished I slammed the bottle on the counter and took a swig of beer. It washed the reminance of the Whiskey and my emotions down nicely.
