I stared at my empty glass of beer, I didn't want to drown my feelings in alcohol I wanted to spend the night hanging out with Alex.

She noticed me staring blankly at the glass and tapped my forehead, "You ok?"

I looked up at her, "Yeah, I don't really feel like drinking much more." I said sheepishly.

She smiled and put a 20 dollar bill on the cold counter, "Then don't."

I said goodbye to Jim and got in my car, Alex stood at the window of my truck. "If you need anything just text me I'm always available." She announced over my engine.

I gave her a semi-forced smile and agreed to text her if I needed anything. When I got inside my house, I didnt even bother going to my bedroom I just collapsed on the floor crying until I couldn't feel the cold tile against my cheek.
