I gulped as the woman cane back into the room, I had already placed the flowers were they sat prettily. I had avoided Lilah like the plague scared she would wake up and the first thing she would see would be me.

The woman laid me down on a bed and prepared my arm for the injection. I blanked out when I saw the needle. I may be a strong person who can handle pretty much anything but needles, needles have always gotten the best of me. I looked away as she put it in my skin with a gentle push.

In the next couple of minutes my blood could be seen going through a tube to Lilah's.

This gave me too much time to think.

What if it was my fault she died?

I tried to think of any arguments we might've had, I could only think of a couple.

Most which were about getting pets.

I smirked to myself, "Maybe I should buy her a cat like she's always wanted." I muttered.

I had never said anything like "it would be better if you left," or "kill yourself." Because I know that she's fragile and that she'll crumble over the smallest things.

This thinking went on until I finally got tired and passed out.

I was floating in the sky, watching birds fly by and clouds blow away. It was serene and peaceful, my negative thoughts glided away as round bubbles in the air. Lilah was with me, only on a raincloud. It was dark and gloomy, it chased all of the beauty away from the scene, turning the sky black. She began crying blood I got startled and fell backwards off of my cloud. As I hit the ground with a resounding thud, thick red blood fell all over my body, cascading down from Lilah's cloud.

I startled awake in the hospital bed. The nurse stared at me with he eye brows furrowed, "Are you ok?"

"Y-yeah, just a bad dream." I answer.

I looked out the window to avoid having to further the conversation, she seemed to get the memo and left. I heard a small whimper. The clock read 7:15 I'd been alseep almost all day. The whimper became a little louder. I turned to see Lilah opening her eyes.

My mouth opened but no words came out, sweat dripped down my temple, my heart picked up, she looked around until her eyes landed on me.

I felt paralyzed.
