ย ย THE story of the Snow Queen was a legend. The legacy of the two sisters โ Elsa and Anna โ has been passed throughout the kingdom of Auradon for many years now.
The story was simple, two sisters once torn apart by fear brought together by love.
After the events which led to Queen Elsa abdicating her throne to assume her place as the rightful Snow Queen, a few things happened.
Anna, who was named Queen of Arendelle after her sister's leave, married the iceman, Kristoff. With their union, two children were born, their oldest son Soren and their youngest daughter Sitara.
However, in her ice castle on Ahtohallan, Elsa was visited by another spirit of snow, ice, and winter. A spirit who was known to legend as Old Man Winter, the King of Winter and Frost himself, Jack Frost.
The love between Jack Frost and Elsa was pure and instant. Even though they were immune to age and many other mortal weaknesses, they still married. And for the first nine years of their marriage, Jack Frost continued to bring winter across all of the lands and Elsa continued to act as the protector of the Enchanted Forest while visiting her sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece.
However, it was only after Kristoff and Anna's children, Soren and Sitara, turned six and three, that Elsa, the Snow Queen, fell pregnant. It was something unforeseen as Jack Frost and Elsa believed they would be unable to conceive children.
Nine months later, the immortal Snow Queen and the King of Winter itself brought to life an equally as magical and mystifying soul. The Princess of Winter and Ice was born, Winterfell Frost, as she was named.
Lips pinker than the petal, hair whiter than snow, and skin pale as day. However, the oddity with Winterfell lay within her eyes, for despite her other frosty looks, Winterfell homed the warmest pools of brown anyone had ever seen.
It was strange, and yet so very endearing at the same time.
Winterfell was her parent's world, and they vowed to protect her at all costs.
Winterfell's power grew every passing day: snow, ice, cold, and a certain pull over the wind was putty in Winterfell's hand.
For the first seven years of her life, Winterfell was perfectly content. She had her father, her mother, and of course, her two cousins, auntie, and uncle โ all of whom she was extremely close to.
This all changed when word of the magical elemental child spread throughout the kingdom. In all the lands, there was only one villain who was never caught and sent to the Isle, one villain who managed to evade every attempt of his capture.
Wenlock, the Evil Wizard Supreme, never committed any crime greater than his own selfish desire. But when Wenlock began thirsting for the power to control the seasons, he set his sights on Jack Frost: the King of Winter. Elsa: Queen of Snow. And finally, their precious child, Winterfell: Princess of Winter, Ice, and Snow.
To gain the power he so desired, he required the child born of the Snow Spirits.
Winterfell Frost.
By draining her lifeforce, Wenlock would gain her spirit โ or in other words, her powers.
Arendelle and the people of Northuldra were located far away from the capital of Auradon, so Auradon was unable to be of much help.
Eventually, Wenlock challenged Jack Frost for his daughter, a battle which nearly led for an eternal winter to befall on all of the lands. However, Wenlock lost to Jack Frost and was left depleted of his powers.
Wenlock has never been seen nor heard from since.
And yet, after that frightful battle, in fear that Wenlock would one day return, Elsa and Jack strengthened all protections toward Winterfell.
The only safety they could not provide was protection from herself. Alike to her mother when she was younger, Winterfell's abilities were expanding by the day.
To Winterfell, her powers were as much of a blessing as they were a curse, one wrong move could cause a catastrophe.
It is because of this that Winterfell grew heedful of herself: she learned not to trust herself around anyone in fear of accidentally hurting them.
Soon, the time came when Elsa and Jack had to send her to Auradon Prep.
But even there, her tendencies to avoid most people for the company of herself remained strong.
In an attempt to not stick-out, Winterfell dyed her hair brown (but she was always re-dying it as with her powers, her hair would begin reverting back to white) and she always wore gloves. Not to mention while in Auradon she went by the shortened name of Winter.
There was never a time that Winterfell could be seen not wearing gloves. It was because of her abilities and fear of hurting someone that the Fairy Godmother allowed Winterfell her own dorm room.
After her first few months at the school, only one person had succeeded in actually becoming something akin to a friend.
Jonah Flynn was no normal student of Auradon Prep. No, his folks lived in the city. He was the son of the TRON legend, Sam Flynn and a program named Quorra.
Jonah's life had been spent either in the city or in the game world of Tron, so attending Auradon Prep was foreign to him.
She will give it to Ben though, he tried to befriend her, he really did, but she was simply too stubborn to let him in.
It was not until after the villain kids โ Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay โ arrived that things started changing for her. After the whole scheme with the wand and coronation (something that Winter missed as she stayed in her dorm reading, thank you very much) the villain kids really started to fit in.
And that was also the start of a nice friendship between herself, Evie, and Mal. Winter didn't know why โ maybe it was because she felt bad and didn't want to seem as though she was judging โ but she was not quite as stubborn with those two girls trying to become her friend as she was with everyone else.
Not only that, but Winter quite liked watching the relationship between Ben and Mal as well as the one between Evie and Doug. Personally, she thought Evie and Doug had the cutest relationship, same with Ben and Mal...
Oh, she always was a sucker when opposites attract.
Though, she would never try for any relationship for herself, no matter how many times Evie, Mal, or even Jonah insisted on it.
Despite this, Winter had fallen into a nice consistency within her life. When she was at Auradon Prep, she would speak with Evie and Mal at least once a day, Jonah at least every other day, and beyond that, she diligently worked on her schoolwork.
(Yes, the Headmistress really did love that about Winter).
However, all of that is about to change.
