CHIONE WAS CURRENTLY LYING, on the top of her bed listening to one of her favorite songs called "Ride" by Lana Del Rey. And it was definitely hitting too close to home, since things started to feel off.

With her earphone's in she was zoned out of the world, staring blankly up at the ceiling.

She had a moment of peace to herself for a good 30 minutes, before she heard the last part of a rather docile sentence.

Taking out one earbud to make sure she heard correctly, all she got in return was a shuffling foot step that sounded like they were on the way to the shared bathroom.

Deciding to see what was up, she paused her musical necessities and walked out of her room.

Not taking any time to arrive in said bathroom, she understood what all the hullabaloo was about.

"I've done, like, 50 tutorials, and this is what I get." Terra exclaimed, currently looking like she went several rounds with a thunderstorm, and it won.

"What does Huda Kattan have that I don't?"

"Uh, talent?"

"Taste"

"And I'm going to go with a kinder synonym, and say patience." Chione added.

"Nah, I would say she has a lot more style." Aisha joked.

"And I think we're forgetting the millions of followers" Bloom digressed.

"Why aren't you all getting ready for the party?"

"Uh, I've gotta study."

"Mitski is calling my name."

"I have a full–"

"Cool. I don't care. You must come. I need full suite support." Terra said, interrupting any future excuse Bloom was making up.

A knock on the bathroom door rang out and silenced the working girls.

"Is that Musa or Stella? Musa or Stella?" Terra asked, worryingly.

"I'm going to take a gander and say Musa, because Stella would never knock." Chione said, before the mind fairy entered.

"Well, this is weird." Musa pointed out, looking at the whole ordeal, then made her way over to the other side of the restroom to stand beside Chione.

Who greeted her with a smile.

"Get dressed. We have to go. We're gonna go to the party. And we're going to show everybody that we're cool and... and... fun and–"

"Hot?"

"Superior?" Chione shared, with a small smile.

By the time the girls were all done talking, Bloom and Aisha managed to sharpen Terra's cat eye.

Now it was time for all the girls to grant Terra's wish and go get ready for the party.

Two gracious hours was all it took for the girls to get all dolled up, and started walking along the brick halls till they finally reached the opposite end of the school that held the growing party with teens of all ages .

"This is..." Aisha trailed off.

"What exactly?" Bloom finished.

"A travesty." Chione summed.

"Actually this is the east wing of Alfea. It used to be used for war preparations, but since there hasn't been a conflict for a while, no one really comes down here. Except for tonight." Terra explained.

Aisha looked in Bloom's direction.

"You need a beer." She suggested, seeing the girl's nervousness bubble up, just standing there.

"I need a beer." Bloom confirmed, as the two walked off.

Leaving Chione, Musa and Terra, together as they all took off towards the center of the party.

"Looking for somebody specific?" Musa guessed, watching the earth fairy eye all the people in their proximity.

"Uh, no, no. I'm just looking for somewhere to put these down." Terra stated, setting down a small pink container.

Opening up said container on the table, both Chione and Musa eyed what was in it.

"Well, well." Chione smirked, nodding her head.

"Terra, are these..."

"Yeah! I can be a cool nerd."

"Nobody said you couldn't, darling." Chione agreed, patting her on the back.

"Look who showed their face. With mum's tupperware, no less."

"Be nice Boulder, we wouldn't want to see what it looks like, if half of your body made it through a brick wall and the other half didn't." Chione threatened lightly, with a small smirk.

"No we wouldn't would we." He agreed, with a small laugh slightly nudging the honey blonde.

"What do you want, Sam? Besides messing with my friends, of course."

"I'm getting a drink, relax."

"Finally" recognizing the other girl at the table he turned his head to acknowledge her.

"It's Musa, right?"

"That's me, yeah."

"Hi, I'm Sam." He introduced.

Causing Chione to silently laugh towards herself.

"What reeks?"

"They're for the party, they're not for me."

"I didn't think you'd make it." Another boy interrupted, coming towards the group.

'Ah, so this is Dane.' Chione recalled her early conversation with Riven and Beatrix.

"No. Uh... Well, I just decided to come last–minute." Terra reasoned.

"Yea, so last minute that she had a few hours to make weed brownies." Sam overshared, making Chione elbow him in the ribs.

"Bye, Sam! I'll talk to you later."

"Bye." Sam obliged, with a tip of his cup, and a cheerful smile.

Grabbing Musa's attention, Chione nodded her head over a quieter setting. In which, Musa followed surely.

"I'm guessing with all these people around, your head is going through a major marathon."

"It's a party. People are happy, and I am too."

"That sounded like a major quip, but for the sake of tonight I'll go with it." Chione spared, causing both of them to laugh.

"I see that you, Beatrix and Riven are getting along well. How did that happen?"

"I was literally strolling through the school late at night trying to clear my head about the doubts I had for my family coming here, when I stumbled upon those two smoking weed together. And so I decided to join them ever since."

"Is that why you've been a little distant lately? Jealous that I'm making new friends?" Chione joked.

"I have a lot of feelings about a lot of things, and your relationship with them happens to be one of them, yes." Musa admitted.

"Would you look at that, who would have thought that Ms. Emotions would've admitted something to me."

"I didn't really know how you would react if I told you, but here I am, I guess."

"Here you are." Chione repeated enthusiastically.

"Not anymore, now I'm going to disappear." Musa chuckled. Causing Chione to do the same.

After their laughter died out, the only thing in that moment was Chione and Musa.

As if the whole world could revolve around those two, anybody on the outside could tell that they were made for each other.

In that moment it felt like destiny was drawing them together, and that's when Chione knew.

She had a crush on Musa.

So seeing as the night wasn't getting any younger, she decided to make something of it.

Slowly leaning forward, into each other, Musa and Chione met in the middle with a kiss.

But before any one of them could go any further, Musa backed away.

"Sorry, just getting a really strong and sudden read of social anxiety." Musa noted, knowing Chione understood what she meant.

"Chione? Musa? There you guys are." Terra exclaimed.

Scooting toward the middle so Terra could have a seat, Chione grabbed Musa's hand and held it behind her back, out of sight.

"So um... haven't wanted to ask this, but, like what's the point in having a roommate who can tell you how people are feeling if you don't, um..." Terra was about to say before she noticed the awkward look on Musa's face.

"Sorry, not that, that's all I think of you. Um... Dane.... Me. Could it be a thing?" The curious earth fairy asked.

Musa looked around for a bit, before looking back at Terra.

"Oh God, sorry!"

"No. Just when you and Dane are together, he feels comfortable. I don't know what that means specifically, but he does like you." Musa thoroughly explained.

"Wha.. So, it could be a thing?"

"Yes, darling. It could be a thing." Chione answered.

"Oh!" Terra giggled with excitement.

"Well, thank you guys for your expert opinion and help." The overjoyed earth fairy said, standing up.

"Enjoy the rest of your night, you two." Terra retreading figure said, before she turned a corner.

Chione turned to look at Musa after she was sure the coast was clear.

"I say we take the rest of this party to the dorm room, you in?"

"Definitely." Musa answered, while they were still holding hands.

Chione and Musa made it just outside the dorm room, before they were locking lips with each other.

In the middle of their makeout session they received many text alerts, so many in fact, they decided to put a pause on their new romance to see what was going on.

Emergency

Burned One

Stone Circle

-Bloom

The text messages read.

Chione and Musa let out a sigh, knowing tonight's events were going to put on pause.

"You guys get the message too?" Aisha asked, walking towards them.

Chione nodded her head, but then sharply turned her head towards the window on her left.

She was so entranced with her evening with Musa she didn't even notice the pull on her magic.

That sudden sense of euphoria she had felt the day before was back, and that when she knew it was time to find some answers out, even if that meant combing through every book in the school to do it.

β„οΈŽ

Leading all the girls through the forest, they all made it just in time before the Burned One could get its charred hands on Bloom.

"Close your eyes." Stella ordered, as she shined her bright light power directly in the Burned Ones mangled face.

The disoriented creature was blind sided, so it was Terra's turn to secure it in place with vines.

Bloom then focused all of her energy on the creature in front of her then fired.

"Aisha!"

Alerting Aisha to set out Bloom's fire, with her water cannon.

"Chione, I think it's time to show this Burned One what you're made of." Aisha suggested.

"Couldn't have said it better myself." The ice fairy agreed, before she shot an ice dagger out of the palm of her hand hitting the burned one an centimeter below the heart – not that she would know.

Then Sky walked up to the wounded creature and stabbed it in the gut with his sword twisting it then unsheathing it.

Everyone else watched as the creature fell to the ground, thinking that they had killed it.

Though Chione wasn't too sure of that fact.

And all of her instincts were answered when she saw Musa's eyes glow a bright magenta.

"Wait. I don't think it's–"

And before she could finish that sentence the Burned One lunged at all of them.

Grabbing Musa, Chione pulled her back.

Then watched as the Burned One burned from the inside out.

"No it wasn't dead. But it is now." Farah announced, eyes glowing a silky white.

β„οΈŽ

Chione and all of her suitemates were now all standing near the mess hall.

"That the lot of you and Headmaster Silva are still alive does not change how thoughtless you were. We'll discuss the consequences in the morning." Farah stated, before walking away.

"Is she like detention pissed off or expulsion pissed off?" Aisha asked.

"I'm going with the first one, but only because of the tiny bit of pride I also felt in there." Musa debunked.

Chione huffed, "So does that mean I'll have to wake up early tomorrow?"

"For the sake of not wanting to get into any more trouble, I say the answer to your question is, yes." Aisha replied.

Walking in the halls towards the group of girls Sky had a solemn look upon his face.

"We should get upstairs." Bloom suggested.

"Yep." Everyone agreed.

It was finally time for Chione to wind down, she had already said her goodnights to Musa.

So essentially it was now time to go to bed.

Grabbing her phone as she got under her covers to lay down, she decided to scroll through her social feed.

And that's when she stumbled upon Beatrix's video that she had made with Dane and Riven.

What she heard next was not so pleasant.

It was quite clear that Dane and Terra were not going to work out, and from this night on Dane would be on her hate list and Beatrix and Riven were on probation.

Nobody was going to bully and treat sweet innocent Terra with any disrespect even if she liked two of the people who did it.

Putting her phone down on the nightstand next to her, she plugged the charger into the wall and then connected the cord to the phone.

Turning over in her bed, her eyes shined an iridescent silver before she closed them.
