CHIONE AND AISHA WERE NOW at the lake doing their daily practices. On one end of the pond Aisha was doing laps back and forth, while on the other Chione had manipulated the water into becoming a solid which turned into ice.
All was going well, Chione had on a black workout fit with white sock warmers and her matching ice skates. Deciding to also bring her headphones she put them on and concentrated on her moves throughout the ice top.
Though she wasn't a professional ice skater, she did know a lot of their moves.
Skating through a straight away, she went into a camel spin, then brought her leg down and inwards for a while then transferred into a toe jump.
Taking her time she went into backward cross cuts in a circle, then she stood on her right foot, back outside on the edge and stepped forward into an axel spin.
Landing gracefully, she stepped forward onto the edge of her foot with her left board outside bending her knee strongly.
As she took her arms back behind her, she used her free leg that was back behind her to bring her free leg through with her arms while she bent her knees strongly to rotate into her jumps.
Brining her right side back out through the front she spun from her toe.
Practicing again made her feel more at home even if she wasn't, the small activity brought her peace.
She was so busy with her ice skating routines that she didn't even notice a wandering redhead pass through the forest, luckily Aisha did.
Continuing her practice for another 10 minutes, everything was fine until Aisha started flailing her hand around like a mad woman trying to catch Chione's attention.
To say the least Chione finally got the message when she came out of her turn.
Taking an herphone off her ear, she questioned the flailing.
"May I ask why you are waving your arms around like there is a bee flying around your head?"
"That was my way of getting your attention since you seem to be in your own little world, I also suggest turning down the volume on those things unless you want hearing loss." She said pointing to the headphones atop of Chione's head.
"I'll take your suggestion into consideration, thanks." She replied back sarcastically.
"But in all seriousness, I doubt you were trying to get my attention to talking about my hearing, so why do you need me?"
"I saw Bloom go past the pond while I was practicing and I have a really bad feeling she's about to do something she can't control."
"You mean something like her unstable fire magic." Chione suggested with a growing smirk.
It was no secret the redhead didn't know much about her powers or to even control them, after all that's why she came to the school.
"I wouldn't say that around her, I think she already knows." Aisha stated while slightly raising her eyebrows.
"Sure, sure." Chione agreed with the wave of her hand.
"Let me just take off my skates and we can go find her."
"Alright." Aisha granted, sitting on the grassy area beside the pond, waiting for the ice fairy to finish.
Taking her black Nikes from her duffle bag, she slipped off her skates carefully.
Then put the covers over their blades, and set them neatly into her bag.
Grabbing her Nikes she put them on her correct feet then zipped up her bag and walked over to Aisha.
"Onward and yonward." She kindly ordered.
Both girls started walking up a small hill, walking toward a part of the forest that didn't have so many trees.

Walking a good 5 minutes, they finally saw orange heaps of fire being flung around by the one and only Bloom.
Aisha continued to walk forward to the frustratedly crying fairy, as Chione stayed back and rested her side by a tree watching the whole debacle go down.
"Bloom." She heard Aisha call out.
The frantic fire fairy turned around alarmingly.
Flicking her hand up and down she tried to rid the fire.
"What are you two doing here?" She asked, thinking she was alone.
"It's ok, Bloom. It's ok." Aisha tried to comfort.
Chione on the other hand found this situation very intriguing.
"She's right Bloom. It's quite alright. If you flail your arms with a bit more rhythm alnog with your hips, you would look just like a hula dancer." She cheered.
Aisha shot her a look as if it could say 'not helping at all'.
Chione took the hint, but still decided to have her fun.
Besides she said it before, she's not here to make friends, she's here to see if this place was habitable for her people and so far everything was looking alright, well at least once you get over the drastic climate change.
"Aisha and Chione, you should not be here." Bloom stated once again with disdain in her voice.
"Well, I'm sorry love, but Aisha here just wanted to make sure you were alright. If it were up to me I would have left you here flailing around in your own pit of fire."
"What Chione meant to say was, neither should you. You're losing control." Aisha quickly corrected.
"I think she knows that."
"Yes, I know that."
Chione and Bloom both answered at the same time.
Causing Chione to quirk the corner of her lips up.
"At least she's self aware."
Getting even more frustrated with the honey blonde girl's comments, Bloom decided to say something back.
"I'm sorry, are you here to actually help or are you just going to keep saying off--hand things while standing against a tree."
"I'm going with the second option." Chione answered, matterβofβfactly.
"Both of you please." Aisha begged, before she turned to face Bloom again.
"Okay, Bloom, just calm down. If you get angry at either one of usβ"
"Just go...away!" Bloom huffed out, as she flicked her hand down one more time.
But seemingly different from the last, this fire didn't stay in one place, no.
It created a trail right towards Aisha and Chione.
"Woohoo, would you look at that? You didn't even need gasoline." Chione praised as she watched the fire head towards her.
While Chione was having fun, Bloom more than Aisha were panicking.
"Chione, Aisha! Run!" Bloom shouted, watching the trail of blazing hot fire head towards them.
Thinking of all the ways this problem could play out, Aisha came up with one solution.
Kneeling on the ground with one knee and hand on the ground, Aisha raised water up from the roots of the forest floor.
"Such a poser, Aisha!" Chione shouted with delight.
Gathering enough water, Aisha douse out Bloom's growing fire.
"Aww, the fun is already over." Chione pouted, with a hint of a smile hiding behind it.
"You and I have different ideas of fun." Aisha commented, looking back at the girl.
Chione just shrugged her shoulders.
As the trio of girls head back towards the school.
βοΈ
"No you shouldn't have been out there." Bloom stated, to start the beginning of an argument.
"First of all, we weren't out there for you. We were practicing our extraβcurricular activities when you strolled on by." Chione corrected, walking up the school stairs.
"And also, is that American for "sorry I almost set you on fire"?" Aisha added.
"You were a runaway train with no idea what you were doing."
"Choo, Choo." Chione imitated.
Bloom scuffed, "Is everything a joke to you?"
"Around you, yes." Chione answered honestly, earning a nudge to the side from Aisha.
Purposely ignoring her comment, Bloom turned around and answered Aisha's previous statement.
"Which is why I was out there alone trying to figure it out."
"Brilliant idea." Aisha commented sarcastically.
"I'm pretty sure, if Aisha weren't out there, you would still be standing in your own ring of fire."
Turning back around while coming to a halt, Bloom faced the two again.
"I'm not like the rest of you. I didn't grow up here. I don't have fairy parents. I've done magic once in my life and it was..." Bloom began to say with teary eyes.
"What terribleβ"
"Enchanting even."
"We're shocked." Both Aisha and Chione stated.
"I flooded my entire secondary school after I failed a math test. Taps, sprinklers, toilets...have you ever waded through human poo? I have. Not pleasant."
"Once my mother grounded me for skipping school, so she took my ice skates away since they were the only thing I really loved to do, so I got so angry that I physically froze her. I froze another ice fairy, which can't really happen, but it did feel like someone else took control over my body. But it goes to say that I definitely learned from my mistakes that day."
"Sometimes being a fairy means you have to deal with shit." Aisha added on.
"Literally in her case." Chione joked, trying to brighten the mood somewhat.
It was quiet for a few seconds before Bloom spoke up.
"So my...mom and I don't really get along." She began to say as she took a set on a school bench.
Chione faked her surprised shocked face which Bloom noticed.
Chuckling with a scuff she answered, "I know. It's a shocker. I'm not...exactly the ideal daughter for her. She'd love a cheerleader, and I'm whatever the opposite of a cheerleader is."
Chione wanted to say "a loser" but she knew that for once this was not the moment.
By her good graces she decided to let Bloom continue.
"There was a night where I couldn't sleep. Everytime I closed my eyes the rage just kept building."
"Then it happened."
"It was almost like the fire had a mind of its own. I don't remember how long I let it burn. I just remember their screams."
"My mom was...covered in threeβdegree burns. 'Cause of me."
"Everynight after that, I snuck out. I was so...scared that I'd hurt them again...that I slept in this...creepyβass...warehouse near my house until Miss Dowling found me." Bloom finished saying, as she faced Chione and Aisha who were on her right side.
"All right. Fire story beats shit story. You win." Aisha relinquished, trying to soften the scene.
"And your parents had no idea it was you?" Aisha questioned, trying to piece things together.
"I don't know how distant my fairy ancestors are, but...the most mystical thing my parents believe in is knocking on wood."
During Bloom's statement both Aisha and Chione gave each other a look as they stood up straight in front of her.
Seeing their glances, Bloom became curious.
"What?" She asked.
"It's just odd."
"Freakishly so." Chione added.
"You drew on a good deal of magic without even trying. It's hard to believe you're from a dormant bloodline. Is there any chance you're adopted?"
"And for the first time β for me at least β we mean no harm Bloom."
The redhead chuckled at both of them.
"No, I... No, I've heard the story of my birth a million times. "Miracle baby." I had a heart defect in the womb, but a day after I was born, it was gone." She explained.
Connecting all the dots together, Chione finally knew exactly what Bloom was. And it seems so did Aisha with her next given statement.
"Oh God. You... You're a changeling."
"What's that?" Bloom questioned, having no clue of water the water fairy was speaking of.
"Aisha...Chione...what's a changeling?"
Walking back over to Bloom's right , Aisha sat back down beside her.
"A changeling is a fairy baby that's switched with a human one at birth."
"Though it hasn't happened in a really long time." Chione added, trying to soften the blow for the already emotional girl.
"Wait, what?"
"It's barbaric. It barely happens anymore, like Chione said."
"That's not possible." Bloom interrupted, going on the fritz again.
"You're clearly very powerful, Bloom. You have to be pureβblooded." Aisha tried to get her to understand further.
Though Chione could see this was clearly not the time, and she didn't think there would ever be one. So for the sake of herself and others she decided not to intervene in Aisha and Bloom's discussion.
"I would know if my parents weren't my parents, Aisha." Bloom disagreed.
There was a brief pause, then Bloom got up from her seat.
"Why would you even say that? Either of you even think that?" Bloom chuckled wryly.
"I'm just trying to help." Aisha stated, sincerely.
"Well you're not." Bloom said, as she walked away passing by Musa.
Who felt everything she was feeling in that exact moment.
Walking up to the two water based fairies, Musa asked, "What the hell did you two tell her?"
"The truthβ"
"Which was something she didn't want to hear."
"And also because someone has been lying to her." Aisha finished saying.
Musa listened to the two explain what happened, but she got side tracked again by Chione's aura.
She could feel multiple feelings, fury and disbelief coming from Bloom. Truth and a bit of shock came from Aisha, but when it came to Chione it was safe to say Musa felt at peace with the girl.
Musa knew she was an ice fairy, but she would have expected some residual anger or resentment maybe, but all she got was complete peace, it was one of the times where Musa felt normal.
And as the days would go on, that all the mind fairy would want to feel.
