ELSA POV

that day, we were successful in getting slughorn's memory

we took a look in the memory, and found out, slughorn had told tom about the horcruxes

A Horcrux is an object formed by dark magic that is used by a wizard or witch to become immortal

now, we were with dumbledore, in the astronomy tower

"you know at times, I forgot how much you both have grown up, at times I still see a boy in the small cupboard, and a girl, not having any control on her powers" dumbledore said

"forgive my mawkishness, but you see, I am an old man" dumbledore said

"you still look the same to me sir" harry said

"just like your mothers, you both are unfailingly kind. A trait people never forget to undervalue, I'm afraid. A place to which we journey tonight is extremely dangerous. I promise you could accompany me, and I stand by that promise. but there is 1 condition: you must obey every command I give you. in every condition" dumbledore said

"yes sir" harry said

"you do understand what I am telling? when I tell you to hide, you hide. when I tell you to run. you run. when I tell you to abandon me and save yourselves, you must do so" dumbledore said

after hearing him, harry and I fell silent 

"your words, harry, elsa" dumbledore asked consent

I looked at harry, and nodded my head

"my word" we said together

"take my hand" dumbledore said and stretched his hand towards us

"sir, I thought you couldn't apparate within hogwarts" I asked. in confusion

"well, being me, has it's privileges" dumbledore said 

I looked at harry once again, as he did the same

we bought our hand forward, to touch dumbledore's hand,

and apparated

and landed, on a rock, in the middle of sea, a cave in front of us

"I think, elsa here, can make way for us to reach the cave?" dumbledore asked

"yes, my pleasure sir, I am going first" I said and pointed my hand towards the sea

the waves that were hitting the rock, turned into an ice slope

I slid down the slope, running on the water, which was turning into ice, as my legs touched it

suddenly, I felt something fly, inches away, from my ear

I looked at the mysterious thing, and saw something blue colored 

 trying to figure what it was, I started to chase it, creating a way, for harry and dumbledore behind me

I saw a wave, descending down, in front of me. so I pointed my hand towards it, transfiguring the waves, into another slope, which ended, some meters away from the entrance of the cave

I saw, the mysterious mist, floating to the top of the newly created slope

not wanting to leave the mist, I started to chase it again, now running on the slope

I was really close to the end of it, but the mist didn't stop, at the end I had to leave it, sadly, as I was standing on the end

 when harry and dumbledore came behind me, I created stairs, which reached the cave

we entered the cave, and looked around

we walked in, and saw a wall

dumbledore opened it, by sacrificing his blood, telling us, that our blood was more precious

we walked further, and saw a lake

dumbledore made his palm face the water, and bubbles started to rise from it

when suddenly, a chain came flying up, in his hand

"if you may, harry, elsa" dumbledore said, and gave us the chain

we pulled on the chain, and after some time, a boat came out of the water

we sat on it, and rowed it, all to the opposite shore

we climbed the glass like rockes, and reached the tom

"you think that horcrux is it there, sir?" I asked

"oh yes" dumbledore said, and hovered his hand over the invisible glass

the glass disappeared, and showed some sort of liquid

"it has to be drunk, all of it has to be drunk. you remember the conditions on which I bought you here with me? this potion might paralyze me. might make me forget why I am here . might cause me so much pain, I would beg for relief. you are not to indulge these requests" dumbledore said

"it is your job, to make me drink this potion, full" dumbledore said

dumbledore picked the bowl from the corner, and bought it near the liquid 

he got some potion, and drank it

suddenly he started shaking

"professor" harry and I both called out

dumbledore fell down, shaking and groaning 

"professor, can you hear us" I asked

I looked behind, at the potion, as harry continued to call out

I went towards the potion, and got more of it

I bought  it near dumbledore, and made him drink

this kept on going for a while, in between, dumbledore kept begging for us to stop

but, as he said, we can't 

at last, he drank the whole potion, as I ran towards the horcrux

It was a locket

"we did it, sir" I said happily 

"harry, water" dumbledore asked to water

"oh right" harry said and came near me

I pointed my wand towards the the place, where the potion was

"aguamenti" I chanted and water arose from the place

I bought the bowl near it, and dipped it

but the water was unsuccessful in being captured, I did it again and again, but I unsuccessful

at last, harry said that we should get the water from the lake, and he went down

suddenly, we heard splashing

I looked down further, and saw dead corpses arising from the lake

"oh shit" I cursed and pointed my hand towards them

suddenly I felt some presence behind me

I turned around, and saw more dead corpses

I threw ice at them, till I heard a scream

I turned around, to where harry was supposed to be, but saw no one

"oh no" I gasped and went towards him 

suddenly, dumbledore held my leg

"professor-" I was interrupted by him standing up

he pointed his wand towards the sky, and I saw fire circling around us 

he lit the lake on fire, and after some seconds, I saw harry come out of the lake

"harry" I said and ran towards him, helping him to get towards dumbledore

"thank goodness" I sighed in relief

not knowing, what would happen, when we reach hogwarts

"I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful" we heard dumbledore say

we apparated back to hogwarts, and dumbledore said, we should hide, and on our way, we saw draco climb the stairs to the astronomy tower

"draco, you are no assassin" dumbledore said

"how do you know what I am? I've done things that would shock you" draco said

"like cursing katie bell and hoping that in return she'd be bearing the cursed necklace for me? replacing a bottle of mead with one laced with poison? forgive me, draco. but I can't help but feel these actions are so weak your heart can't really be in them" dumbledore said

"he trusts me, I was chosen" draco said and showed his wrist to dumbledore  

"then I shall make it easy for you" dumbledore said

"expelliarmus" I heard draco say, and the clinking of wand afterwards 

"very good very good" dumbledore said

suddenly the door opened

"you're not alone, there are others" dumbledore said

after hearing this sentence, I held onto harry, and dragged him with me

we hid behind a pillar, while dumbledore and draco talked back and forth

"I have to kill you, or he's gonna kill me, and anna" draco whispered the last part, not wanting to let the uninvited guest hear him

"good evening bellatrix" we heard dumbledore

I gasped, and looked at harry, I tried to run forward, but I was held by harry, who yanked me towards him, my head bumping into his chest

suddenly, we felt a presence again

we looked back, and saw snape 

he gestured us to stay silent, and went up, to the death eaters and dumbledore

probably to save dumbledore

oh how wrong I was

"severus. please" dumbledore begged 

"avada kedavra" we heard snape cast the unforgivable curse

"no" I whispered

tears welled in my eyes, as we waited for them to leave

as they left, I ran down stairs

"darling, you go and warn everyone, I am going after them" harry said and ran towards where the death eaters went

"harry!" I called out for him

when I got no response, I ran to the gryffindor common room

"hemione, ron, ginny, anna, fred, george, everyone, come with me" I shouted and when I knew everyone was down, I started running towards the place where dumbledore fell

we reached the place, and saw all the professors already there

after sometime, harry also came, he went straight towards dumbledore, and sat beside him

I walked towards him, and sat down

he leaned onto me, and I felt him sob

I looked at everyone, tears in my eyes too

minnie, faced her wand upwards, small light coming out of it

slowly everyone did the same, in order to honour the fall of a great leader 

I slowly left harry, and did the same as others

he will be remembered

"harry, what happened with them?" I asked

"I know who the half blood prince is" harry said looking down

"who?" I asked 

"snape" harry answered

harry leaned back on my shoulder, and sobbed

so snape was the half-blood prince
