Nimi bangs the door pretty hard. This act makes his dorm mates groan.

"Nimi, what is your problem?" Efe groans.

"Your mates are awake, Junoir boys are out!" Nimi fires. Meanwhile, Efe gives him a puzzled look.

"Who made you the hostel prefect?" Efe mocks.

"I made myself!" Nimi responds and smiles.

"Please let me rest, I'm tired!" Efe groans.

"Is it when they come and drive us out? Why wouldn't you? After exhausting yourself throughout the night?" Nimi attacks.

"Did you guys jump the fence yesterday?" Excel, an Art student asks. Meanwhile, Efe smiles.

   "Jumping fence" was a term they used whenever they visited the girl's hostel. Because they had to jump a fence, they sometimes wondered what the fence was for. Because if it was to prevent boys from entering the girls' hostel. It was a silly joke because it was easy to jump over.

"You do not get tired when you get those little girls pregnant!" Gideon says.

"See pot calling kettle black!" Nimi laughs hard.

"What is it now? Reduce the noise!" Tari, who appeared awakened by the noise, barks.

"Guys, you no dey tire to sleep?" ( Guy, aren't you tired of sleeping ), " Gideon asks.

"Gideon, how many times have I told you? Your vernacular is irritating!" Nimi groans and turns to Tari, who is facing the wall. He knew Tari could not have fallen asleep right away. "Why won't you be exhausted? When you were busy drilling someone's daughter all through!" Nimi says. Tari flipped his middle finger at him, and he did not miss it.

"The irritating part is. It's the junior secondary girls!" Jackson, who was staring at his book, interrupts and pretends to say nothing. Everyone focuses on his directions. Tari, for example, was suddenly sat properly.

Jackson is a typical nerd; he rarely speaks and is always wearing his large glasses. He is also one of the occupants of Room 8. The look they gave him was priceless.

"Nerdson, face your book and mind your business or I might break those glasses." Exel threaten. Both were in SS2 Arts.

"Tari is the one who goes down with Junoir secondary girls, " Gideon says and laughs.

"May thunder destroy that your filthy mouth!" Tari, who was obviously provoked, says.

"Wait, who has something to do with a girl is Jss3 here?" Nimi asks quite surprised. "SS1 can be managed if you can't get your classmates. Because those girls will never respect you after going down on them. In the name of dating!" Nimi says.

"Excel is dating someone is JSS 3 while this idiot here!" Tari responds pointing at Gideon. " Is dating someone in JSS2!"

"Your sister is the next!" Excel smirks, meanwhile Tari throws a mug which he dodges.

"Woah, Tari calm down. He is joking!"Nimi who was shocked by Tari's reaction says. Tari lays on his bed and faces the wall again. He suddenly gets up. Making his roomies wonder.

"I have banged her! The deal, " Tari smirks. Meanwhile, everyone groans.

"Nimi, your pocket money when we get back. Excel your girlfriend for banging!" Tari says meanwhile, everyone looks at him quite amused. "Not the one in school!" He says with a raised eyebrow. "Gideon your phone, Efe you can't go back on your words. You will be doing my laundry for the rest of the term! Where is Light?" Tari pauses and looks around? Meanwhile, he could hear some groans. He smirks.

"But Gideon you said, she is a saint na. How did Tari manage to screw her?" Nimi asks clearly frowning. Gideon pauses for a while before turning to Tari.

"Proof?" He asks. Meanwhile, Tari smirks.

"Don't play smart. I won the bet, proof is on my phone!" Tari says now bringing out his phone, which he hid properly under his bed. Meanwhile, the door is pushed hard.

Everyone pauses. Tari hides the phone quickly, They all turn to the doorpost, at different intervals.
The look on their faces are priceless.  They couldn't believe who was standing in front of them.

"What an asshole!" Efe frowns.

"Fuck you!" Nimi says. Meanwhile, Light looks at them with a funny expression on his face.

"Why did you open the door like that na? We thought it was one of those prefects!" Tari comments.

Light walks over to his space with a smile on his face, totally ignoring them.

"Wanted to scare you all!" Light says in a girlish tone. Making everyone look at him with amusement.

"Hanging out with those girls has started to affect your brain!" Efe confirms.

"He now thinks like a doll!" Gideon speaks. Tari starts laughing, and Light smiles.

"Wait. Are you after that girl April? Because I see you following her like you were her school bag," Tari inquires, raising an eyebrow.

"That is a complete fuck up. Because Nim is also after her!" Efe responds, unsure about his last statement.
Meanwhile, Light smiles.

"I like April because she is simple and smart; I do not like her in the opposite way. She is only a friend!" Light says with a funny expression.
"Nimi, stop boring holes into my body!" Light smirks as he turns to Efe.

"This is Nimi. "Is it like for like, or like for fuck?" Tari asks, causing everyone to laugh.

"Idiot!" Nimi blurts out.

"SS2 boys, everyone's out. Don't just provoke me!" A voice can be heard directly from the lobby. They did not need anyone to tell them it was Senior Raphael. Gideon groans.

"So, who will be attending the party on Friday?" Tari asks as they exit the room.

"Who is hosting this?" Gideon asks.

"Kenny and I!" Tari replies.

"If it's in Kenny's house. I am not attending!" Nimi confirms.

"Stop being dramatic!" Efe scoffs.

"I can't stand Wendy!" Nimi confirms.

"She won't be around. She will be at her father's house during that time!" Tari confirms.

    Everyone appears to be busy packing up their belongings. April had already called home two days earlier. Folds her uniform carefully and stores it in her locker. She locks it and picks her school bag. She was not going home with her suitcase. She was certain it would be safe. She takes most of her test books and places them in her schoolbag. She was expecting her mother any moment. They were all dressed casually, as usual. The midterm break was scheduled to last a week.

April could not express her joy. However, she would miss seeing Science, Light, and Dumlesi. Even if she thought it was weird Nancy too. They did not really have a proper conversation. Most of all, Senior Jordan's face. She was already accustomed to seeing him because she visited the Music room every day. However, he was always overly serious. They still spoke the majority of the time. Even though he was constantly correcting her mistakes.

"I will miss you, girls!" Science speaks in a babyish tone. She hugs April from behind, causing her to smile.

April could not believe how quickly time passes. She remembered the first time she stepped into Hallel Colledge. She had made wonderful friends, without a doubt. She also had people who despised her for ridiculous reasons. Especially Wendy. The first day she arrived and when she was told she was competing with her on purpose. Wendy had not spared her a glance since that day. And she believed it was for the best. She could not help but be excited about her grades. She would not deny it; she was actually at the top of her class.

"Let us go into the waiting room!" Science urges.

    April smiles when Light says something about her hair. She had come to realize she could spend the whole day with Light talking about nothing in particular. He was extremely entertaining. After they were done talking, once she tries to think about how long they had been there, she would realize, they actually spent a lot of time with each other saying nothing. He would often talk about her hair, but occasionally he would also mention spoons, plates, or anything ridiculous that occurred to him.

She stops as soon as she sees Wendy strolling with a young man, whom she instantly assumed to be her older brother. They had a striking resemblance. He appeared very cute. Wendy was clearly arguing with him about something. She seemed very serious.

"Wendy's dad is hot!" She overheard a girl say. April pauses to take a good look at the young man. She wonders if she heard correctly. He had the appearance of her older brother, or even her uncle. They really were similar. She looks to Science, who had been focused on a novel.

"Is he Wendy's father?" April expresses her surprise.

"Yes!" Science confirms and focus on her book.

"You might mistake him for her boyfriend, attributes of having a young Dad!" Dumlesi chips in surprising April. She was unaware of her presence.

"How are you?" Mrs Kuti asks while they walk out of the school gate.

"I'm fine mummy!" April responds. Immediately they get out of the school compound. April covers her hair with her handkerchief. The heat was excessive. She hugs herself as they cross the road. They crossed right away. Mrs Kuti attempts to stop a taxi. Meanwhile, April hugs herself.
