April walks into the lab with her school bag hanging by her left shoulder. They rarely had biology class in the lab, which was obviously a combined class.

There she got to see some art students whom she didn't know personally.

With how tense the environment was, she knew something wrong was going on, and the biology teacher was not in the lab yet.

She quickly uses her eyes to search for Light, but it lands on Dumlesi, it was obvious Dumlesi had been staring too, immediately their eyes locked, she noaiced how Dumlesi eyes lingered on her like she was something disgusting before looking away.

April quickly takes a deep breath before looking elsewhere she finally sights Light who was clearly waving at her with his million-dollar smile, she let's out a small smile, before heading to where he sat.

"You are late!" Light says while he picks up his bag from a stool, which he specifically kept for her.

"Yeah. I went to see Nancy!" She notices how his facial expression softens immediately after she said that.

"Is she awake?" Light asks with a worried expression.

"Yes. She is okay." April responds.

"I wonder what's wrong with..., " The loud sound cuts Light off, it was obvious someone fallen.

"Do I look like, I am joking with you," Ibinabor yells automatically getting everyone's attention. April and Light turn to her immediately.

They could see her glaring at a girl who obviously was in Art class.

"Wait. This one she is staring at you, does she want to fight you?" Bright chides backing Ibinabor.

April who clearly couldn't make out what was going on stared at them without uttering a word.

"Oya. Sasha Banks, give them." Everyone knew Boma's voice. To top it all, Wendy's mocking laughter backed it up.

"Boma, no one spoke to you." Flourish attacks.

"Abino escape. We weren't talking to you either, " Boma responds. "Or were we?" Boma turns to her friends with a mock smile.

April quickly turns to Light who had a bored look on his face, it was obvious he was used to his sister's dramatic nature.

"You are just envious of me. I am like your dream come true!" Flourish sassed.

"See this one." Precious intervene. Meanwhile, Flourish ignores them and turns to Ibinabor who seemed to be in a heated argument with some art females.

April couldn't contend with her happiness, Science was finally back, hale and hearty. Nancy had also relocated back to the hostel. April couldn't deny the fact she had bonded well with Nancy. She couldn't believe she saw her as a weirdo and thought she was a ghost.

Nancy was easygoing and sweet in her own way, not to exclude being very smart. You just needed to get to know her better, you won't be able to resist loving her.

Dumlesi, on the other hand, had totally stopped sitting with them, she was now sitting with Ibinabor and her friends, which gave April no other choice than to give what Nancy said, she just needed to ask Dumlesi so badly, what she did wrong. Although she did converse with Science, but she totally ignored April as well as Nancy.

Nancy didn't really behave like she gave a damn, she also ignored her too, making April wonder how she managed to do that. As far as she could remember, Nancy told her they were pretty close.

"What are you staring at?" Nancy asks April whose eyes were on Dumlesi, who just worked in with alongside Bright.

"Just wondering what I did to her!" April says calmly.

"You worry too much," Nancy says obviously picking up her food. "Why care about someone who doesn't care about you?" She asks.

"I hardly keep friends. The few I have, I value." April says.

"Well she doesn't value you," Nancy says. "Look if someone ignores you, do the same. This life is too short to waste on useless things as well as worthless creatures." Nancy concludes.

"Hey!" Science calls out while she joins them. "What are you girls seriously talking about?"

"Nothing important," Nancy replies before April could think of opening her mouth.

"Hope you don't mind me joining your seat?" A calm voice that April is quick to recognize asks.

"No!" Science responds immediately. Meanwhile, April wonders what Tibiebi was doing trying to seat with them. She could also see Nancy glancing at her with judging eyes.

"Thanks," Tibiebi says in a bubbly manner while she joins them. "You weren't in school for a while?" Tibiebi says turning to Science.

"I was sick, but I am better now," Science responds. While April who had nothing to say concentrated on her food.

Weird silence.

  Immediately, April steps into the music room, and her eyeballs suddenly pop out. Her doubt had been cleared, there was nothing anyone could tell her again. Jordan was obviously doing drugs.

Still concentrating on doing his stuff, he hadn't noticed her yet, April contemplate whether to live or not when she hit one of the instruments, making some noise.

Jordan looks up almost immediately, his eyes red, his pupil dilated. He suddenly gets up, and the face he was obviously headed towards her, scared the crap out of her. Regretting that she left the hostel in the first place. She doesn't lose eye contact with him.

She knew a normal Jordan wouldn't hurt her, but this Jordan standing in front of her was something else. Wondering the need for someone like him to take drugs, she takes her steps back. He was just too perfect for her, to choose to wile away, she knew If someone else had told her about this, she wouldn't have believed. He didn't look notorious.

"Come here!" Jordan yanks her closer to himself, and in the process, her books fall off.

The fear in April's eyes is evident. Her heartbeat rate increased. The fact Jordan was forcing her into his arms scared her, she didn't even have the guts to scream, being fully aware no one will hear her.

"Please, stop," April begs while she tries to pull away, meanwhile, Jordan pulls her closer. Trying so hard to free herself, she suddenly gets a salty taste in her mouth. That was when it dawned on her she was shedding tears.

She knew she wouldn't be able to defeat him, he was older, stronger, and also the opposite sex.

The lips connection makes April pause, she was clearly not thinking again. She had been kissed before but it wasn't this tender. She doesn't kiss back nor does she fight him off. This continues for a few seconds.

Her brain reacts making her push him off, immediately. He was molesting her.

She knew she had feelings for him, but whatever went down really did hurt her feelings. She didn't know if it was because he was forcing himself on her due to the drugs he was on, which was disgusting to her, or the fact that he could force himself on her and rape her here and then, without her having the strength to push him off. The worst part of it is the fact he won't remember what he did after now. She takes one good look and him with a satisfactory smile on his face. Before hurrying out, assuring herself she would never go close to him.

April looks up trying to remember what she just read, using the cuss word for almost the tenth time today.

The examination timetable was out, she had decided to read in the room, even after prep time. Before now she had a very quiet and conducive place, but since the incident with Jordan, she had avoided the Music room like a plague. The fact she had avoided having any confrontation which Jordan still remained. She had practically been running away from him.

She couldn't fight over the fear, she had towards him, her view of him had changed, since the incident. She couldn't deny the fact she was scared of him.

Ibinabor's facial expression changes, as soon as she sights Kenny, who had a calm smile on his face as usual. She quickly looks around wondering how he joined her without her notice.

"Baby cousin!" Kenny chides. Meanwhile, Ibinabor's facial expression changes.

"Kenny." Ibinabor blurts out.

"I hope you have learned not to mess with me. Because until you pay every dime you owe me, I will continue messing you up." Kenny says still smiling, if you were watching them from afar, with the way Kenny was smiling and talking, you would think they are having a nice and peaceful conversation.

"I owe you no dime!" Ibinabor spits out with venom. "Guess what, you can't mess me up and go scott free," Ibinabor says. Immediately after she made her statement, Kenny burst into laughter.

"Was that supposed to be a threat?" He asks almost choking.

"Choke to death," Ibinabor says, gets up immediately, picks up her things, and heads out, almost immediately.

April opens her eyes only to see Nimi smiling at her. She quietly returns the smile.

"Are you ready to take us down?" Nimi jokes, April who understood what he meant just smiles. "Don't worry, it's just like every other exam!" Nimi assures.

"I need to put in my best, evaluation starts from now," April says.

"Evaluation?" Nimi who didn't understand what she meant asked.

"I mean, scholarship for higher institutions. I heard Hallel college sponsors its overall best student every year." April says now looking at Nimi who pauses like he was trying to process what she said.

"Yes." He responds after a few seconds.
Then takes a look at her. "You look beautiful, with your hair loosed." He comments. Making April remember she poured her hair due to the fact, that she had no money to make it. And school closure was around the corner. She brushes a strand without an instinct.

"Thanks." She comments. Looking into those grey eyes.
