CHAPTER NINTEEN💜
The expression on Ibinabor's face was priceless. She opens and closes her mouth, gasping. Wealth, who thought it was a big dream, stared at Jordan and Goriola in the doorway. That was when it dawned on him. They had forgotten to lock the door.
Jordan looks at Ibinabor, who appears rattled. The look on Wealth's face was priceless. The guilt was clearly visible on his face.

Friday is officially the least hectic day for SS2A students. They had only three subjects. With lots of free time. Their closing time was 1:30 p.m. Prep begins from 4 pm-6 pm. Then social night begins from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
April was never comfortable at social nights, so she sat in the back row with Dumlesi and Science. Perhaps the fact that they were always late should be considered.
When Mr Azeez, the Further Maths teacher, enters the room, the class falls silent. Mr Azeez is a tall, slim man with excellent fashion sense. To April, he was the hottest teacher at school. He was very handsome and serious-looking. He does not take nonsense; everything he says in class comes from his book. He never jokes with his students. They always let him have his way because they knew he was a no-nonsense person.
"Grab your notebooks, and let us get to work!" Mr Azeez says. When the students greet him, he responds quickly and walks directly to the board.
April opens her bag and takes out the note. In less than a minute, Mr. Azeez begins teaching. Everyone seemed to pay attention. Why wouldn't you listen? Even those who did not understand what he was saying had the most serious expression on their faces. You would have no idea they did not understand anything.
"God, am so pressed," Science complains to the the hearing of April.
"Take excuse and leave!" April advise.
"He won't,"
"Both of you, get up!" Mr. Azeez cuts Science off.
April and Science look up, wondering who he is talking to. Mr Azeez glared at them directly. You could hear April's heartbeat.
"What is your name? Mr Azeez refers to science.
"Science, Chuku, Sir!" Science responds.
"I see you enjoy talking. "Come out!" Mr Azeez says, while Science wonders silently why he asked her to step out.
"You go over to that seat." Mr. Azeez points to a girl in the front row. "Now, you come here!" Mr. Azeez says. April could not believe what she was witnessing. They were switching seats.
"Excuse me!"
April looks at the person in front of her, stunned. She moves away silently. While Tibiebi walks in.
Within a few minutes, everything is back to normal. Mr Azeez begins teaching. April looks at the board awkwardly.

April who seemed engrossed in her notebook, suddenly looks up. The shock on her face couldn't be hidden.
Nimi who sat carelessly on her desk had this smile on his face.
"A penny for you thought!" Nimi says.
Making, April smile.
"How long have you been there?" April asks. Nimi smiles.
"April, please pass me your further maths notes!" Light says casually. April hands it over to him.
"Thanks!" Light mumbles.
"Can you weave, I want to start making my hair!" Nimi asks grabbing April attention.
April takes her time to look at his hair, it looked overgrown. She smiles wondering how he would look if he actually weaved his hair.
"Awwwn, she is staring!" Nimi says funnily, making April burst into laughter.
"I was just wondering how you will look, " April says freely.
"Cuter, trust me!" Nimi says and winks making April smile.
April attempts to say something else but is cut off, by someone who called Nimi's attention. She didn't really know the names of all members of her class. So she couldn't tell who. Nimi turns to her saying he would be back and runs off.
April quickly turns to her left aiming at telling Science to escort her to the restroom, only to see the not smiling face of Tibiebi. That was when it dawned on her, she was no longer her seatmate.

April grabs her book from the bed as soon as she steps out of the bathroom. The noise was becoming annoying. Tibiebi and Amarachi went at it again. April had no idea why they were fighting; it was none of her business.
She turns to Science, who appears to be enjoying the show, before walking out the door.
She felt relieved as soon as she stepped outside the hostel. There was no noise, and everything seemed calm. You would not know people were arguing indoors.
April feeds her eyes with the beauty of the school as she walks to nowhere in particular. She had no idea where she was going; all she wanted was a peaceful environment where she could read her book. The cold breeze caresses her skin as she walks to the commercial building. The beauty of the school was captivating. She could spot a few students from afar.
April knew she still had time before prep, but the noise in the hostel was enough to drive you crazy. You could never read in such a setting.
She picks up her pace as she sees the Music Hall. When she arrives, she proceeds to the Technical hall, which is directly opposite the Music hall. It appeared to be locked, so she walked into the half-opened Music Hall without hesitation.
April scans the room and immediately enters it. Various musical instruments were lying in various corners. She could see four massive Pianos. Trumpets and guitar. There was a large whiteboard and various seats. The room looked lovely. It occurred to her that perhaps that was where the students who offered music were taught.
Trying the shut the door, it get banged. The room did not appear too bright. She walks over to a chair, a smile on her face because she has found the ideal study spot. What she saw almost caused her to scream. Somebody sat on the floor. She stares at him, startled, and almost immediately recognises him as Senior Jordan. But his afro appeared untidy. She watches him try to hide something that she can only see as a white substance. He gives her a glare as soon as he is finished.
"What are you doing here?" Jordan inquires, his tone frightening her. She knew his voice had always had this effect on her, but this time it was even worse because he scared her.
"I came to read." She murmurs.
Jordan gets up almost immediately, and she watches him grab a bag that was near him. He packs his belongings into his bag and gets up almost immediately, while April moves away to avoid him.
"You do not walk into a place you do not know casually!" He says, making April move away. Her heart was beating furiously. Her heart was beating furiously. She hated the smell of cigarettes and weeds. She was sure he had taken one of those. Because she could perceive it. "Well this place is open for all students, it's not like it's my dads house!" He laughed, scaring April even more; she knew he was not in his right mind.
When he approaches her, her heart rate rises.
"What is your name? He asks with a strict expression.
“April Kuti!" She responds, taking another look at him. She was convinced he could not hurt a fly, but she still did not feel safe.
Jordan lets out a smile.
"Quit looking at me in that way. I do not use drugs!" He says this and starts to walk away. April could tell he was not himself. She takes a deep breath as soon as he moves out of sight. Her thoughts drifted back to how she saw him when she walked in. She was certain he used weed.
April finds a chair near the window and sits in it, placing her book on the desk; she suddenly loses interest in reading. Her mind wanders back to her mother and sister. She hasn't spoken to them since she arrived and it was the fourth week.

Wendy joins her friends in the back seat; it was clear that they were uninterested in whatever was going on in the hall, as it was Friday night. Every Friday night was a social night. They had various activities for two hours. It always began at 8 p.m. and concluded with ten prompts.
"Let us step out!" Boma suggests.
The three girls say nothing and begin leaving one after the other, just as Boma suggested.
They leave the hall in less than five minutes. The noise had been drastically reduced.
"In senior Beauty's mind, she is hosting something." Darlintina hisses as they settle into a spot.
"Remove the senior from her name; she does not deserve it!" Wendy says. In the meantime, Darlintina laughs.
"It is only for formality!" Boma let out a laugh.
"There is nothing they know how to do, common social night they can't conduct successfully. "Why were they giving Social Perfects?" Precious hisses.
"Don't forget, my brother is the social perfect boy!" Wendy says and laughs.
"Savage!" Boma exclaims.
"They are giving human beings posts; they also gave Kenny! I am still not sure why they assigned him that position!" Wendy says and laughs.
"I.B. went home today!" Precious brings up a topic that draws the girls' attention. "Gillian told me she had called in sick!" Precious elaborates.
"But she did not look sick!" Boma joins in.
"That is her business; at least I will not have to see her ugly face for the rest of the time!" Wendy explains.
"I wish Bright would get sick and leave, so I can give Fisayo a beating!" Boma says and adjusts herself accordingly.
"As in. She is only making noise because they are present. She does not even have strength!" Precious speaks.
"Someone I am older than, she will be insulting her mother, thinking she is insulting me because we are classmates," Boma says, while Precious raises her eyebrows. Which meant she was suddenly interested in the subject.
"Wait, Fisayo is how old?" Precious inquired.
"Either fifteen or sixteen. I am definitely older than she is. She is not seventeen!" Boma explains. She noticed Wendy's silence and followed her gaze, wondering what was wrong. Only to Tibiebi, who was walking towards them.
"Madam's!" Tibiebi calls out with a blank expression, while the four girls begin shining at thirty-two. Wendy, in particular, had an obvious fake smile.
"We had no idea you would come back. Since you did not return last term. We thought you had run away." Wendy lets out a smile. I thought you had changed! Besides, you just isolated yourself from everyone?" Wendy speaks in a questionable tone.
"Why won't I come back? Because of who, na? "That stretched mark, fool." She breaks out laughing. "You should know me by now; I do not hold grudges." Tibiebi continues with a blank expression; one thing about her was that you could never read her facial expressions. It lacked emotion. You could not tell whether she was lying, telling the truth, joking, or sad. She was just a plane.
"Last term, I had the highest average, 90.5, Nimi was second, 90, and Flourish had 85.5! " Wendy speaks as if she were advertising it." Tibiebi, who knew Wendy well enough, simply smiled. She knew she was clearly advertising it.
Boma, who had been trying hard not to laugh, turns to face her.
"Mimi, I assumed she was your best friend! Also weren't you the one who always preached about peace and unity. Especially between Wendy and I.B.?" Boma inquires, as they all laugh. except Tibiebi, who smiled.
"I did not intend to call her a stretched mark fool; it was a joke!" Tibiebi responds and smiles. "We had a minor issue at home, which is why I could not resume; my older brother is battling cancer!" Tibiebi confirms.
"Woah, I am sorry!" Darlintina explains. The expression on her face indicated that her apology was genuine. The other girls agree.
"No problem." I will see you girls around!" Tibiebi says, in few minutes she is out of sight.
