The first time Leo Valdez saw the daughter of Nemesis when he first stepped at Camp Half-Blood along with his companions Piper McLean and Jason Grace, there was an instant curiosity that struck him to know about her as if there is a mystery following the young demigoddess. There were few talks spreading around as he asked about the certain demigoddess and Leo found out who she is, Astoria Celestine― the daughter of Nemesis, the one who can do fortune telling and can foresee what you wish to know. That is… what the campers told him about her, it didn’t sound like a rumor nor a gossip to spread because they have hate towards the demigoddess but because of their own experience with Astoria. They asked her questions about their fate and fortune in life, what are the possibilities if they chose this or that ― the basic questions everyone asks her in her fortune telling, and this gave Leo Valdez a big curiosity as to who Astoria Celestine really is.

They were told to stay at the Hermes cabin for a while as they were not yet claimed by their parents, and it was the moment Leo asked about Astoria Celestine, he got answers from one of her companions and the son of Hermes, Jonathan. He didn’t ask further about her family right after Jonathan had mentioned her father’s death becoming sensitive and a bit triggered to the topic but quickly changed the question about the Hermes cabin.

Leo Valdez always makes the first move when it comes to having conversation and as he walks to the daughter of Nemesis during lunch, it was then he heard the song of The Velvet Underground. “Not to be rude or anything but do you listen to The Velvet Underground?” That question made Astoria turn her head to look at him with her brows furrowed in a concerned manner, as if he had asked her an obvious question “What do you want?” Astoria asks as she paused the playlist that is playing on her mixtape, turning her body around to fully face him a small smile appears on the corner of her lips ― it wasn’t forced nor sarcastic ones that Leo had expected it to be but nevertheless seeing the daughter of Nemesis smile made him okay.

“I listen to The Velvet Underground that’s why I got excited when I heard their song on your mixtape,” the sudden excuse from Leo’s lips gave the young demigoddess a small nod on her head.

“No one listens to the bands I always listen to.”

“They’re really good, honestly.”

“Is this your way of talking to me because everyone told you who I was?”

“Not really… I mean, yeah sure…”

“Which is which is the answer?”

It was at the moment when Leo closed his lips in a seal shut as Astoria had retorted the question back to him as if she was daring her to bounce back sarcasm on each other. “Hmm sure Leo Valdez,” she said before walking back inside of the Nemesis cabin leaving Leo stunned and amused to Astoria.  It was later then told that Jason Grace is the son of Jupiter then it was Leo Valdez’s turn to be claimed by Heptaesus and the campers from the Hephaestus cabin welcomed him, and Astoria Celestine was there… nodding her head as she joins her half-siblings giving a message that she was perhaps right about him becoming a possible son of Heptaeesus and she was right after all. That was the moment Leo Valdez had made his first move and now he is on the second step of knowing the demigoddess more. Piper McLean was the last to be claimed by Aphrodite as her daughter.

The moment Astoria Celestine sees the son of Heptaestus at the lake sitting at her usual spot when she couldn’t sleep at night made her furrowed her brows and asks him why he is still up, the same question was then bounced back to her with additional quote from him, “... you’re out here too so that makes us even,” a soft huff came from her lips as she sits next to him.

“You can’t sleep either?” Astoria asks, sounding unsure of the question― whether she is right to ask that kind of question or the question is right.

“How did you figure it out?” Leo asks as he turns his head to look at the brunette, having the amused look on his face.

“I just… figure it out,” she said, letting out a soft sigh from her lips.

“Is it true then? You perform fortune telling?” Leo suddenly asks, more likely a surprise question to Astoria’s perspective.

“I’m not some cheap fortune teller you see everyday, this one is different,” she points to herself after saying the word ‘one’ with her index finger.

“Can you predict my future then?”

Astoria lets out a huff as if she is having a disbelief to what Leo asked her right now, shaking her head lightly as she faces the son of Hephaestus. “I told you once, I’m not a cheap fortune teller and why did you get the sudden interest to know your fate?”

The question seemed to have him backfire right away― more of a sudden question that he didn’t expect right away, why was he interested in wanting to know about his fate? Was it because of the past that still haunts and gives him guilt as to what happened to his mother years ago? Or perhaps because of the fact that he is a son of Hephaestus and that it hasn’t sunk into his mind that he is a demigod? Either way, Leo isn’t sure if any of his answers are right and as the daughter of Nemesis waits for his answer to her question, his eyes watch the moonlight reflect on the water as his lips hum softly.

“Talk to me when you're done thinking about everything.”

Leo's eyes suddenly turn to look at Astoria who stood up from her seat dusting off the dirt from her clothes before looking down to him with her lips firmly closed in a thin line, the two teens look at one another longer as if they have something to say but neither of them wants to say unless one of them has to start it off. “For once, you have to stop thinking about everything, it will only make yourself become more paranoid and probably won't help me figure out what you really want to know.” with that, the daughter of Nemesis simply walked away leaving him alone… again. How can she say things as if she knows everything about him? Or as if she had read his mind? Perhaps it's the way she is or because she is the daughter of Nemesis, he thought to himself as he watched her walking away with his hand softly waving to her despite Astoria not seeing it.

… and with that, the thought of asking Astoria about his fortune is now written in his list.

this is pretty bad and very short prologue, i hate to see it 🤬🤬🤬 but this is just a snippet from (redacted) and (redacted) so yeah this is just the start of it 👀👀 also i'll be changing act one in which it will start before heroes of olympus but there will be some flashbacks from the events of the olympian and the last titan so let's get ready to that 😌👁👄👁
