03. The Kwami Of Creation. . .

FRANCE, PARIS 2023.
chap 3. the kwami of creation !

(Y/N) sighed deeply in relief watching her walk away, realizing the chase was now over and could relax her poor heart again. That was until something shimmered red behind her in the room, and the door lock clicked open.

She yelped in surprise when the door was taking out from behind her, and she fell back onto the floor inside the mystery room with a thump, just as the door slammed shut to lock her in there.

Old objects around her on the shelves began to rattle in an eerie way, causing her to shoot up from the floor, and slowly crept back in fear, "Uh, I'll be gone in a flash!" She stuttered out, unaware of the statue behind her that she was about to hit, "I usually scare myself honestly-"

A startled scream escaped her lips when she bumped into the statue, making her jump around to face it, hands held up in a feeble position, as she spots a ladybug suddenly flying softly towards her.

She held out one of her shaky fingers for the bug to land onto, watching as it gently lands on it with a flutter of its wings, "What are you doing here?" She questioned in a whisper, lifting the ladybug up to her face.

The ladybug flew off her finger for a second for it to only land back on her, (Y/N) flinching when it now jumped on her nose, causing her eyes to move crisscross to see it.

"Wait!" She exclaimed when the bug flew off of her again into the air, hand reaching out for the animal as she just missed it by an inch of a finger.

The ladybug suddenly transformed into a bright, red aura that lit up the things it traveled around, making all the objects on the shelves rattle when it flew in between them, and ended up lighting up something on the stone wall for her eyes to see.

Curious to what was happening in the room, she walked up to the stone wall with furrowed brows, and placed a hand on it to read the writing, "'Who saves a life saves the world'?"

When her words finished flowing out the ladybug's aura flew away again, towards a old looking mini table that had weird symbols all over it. The ladybug went underneath it, and a blast of that red aura shot out from it, lighting up more symbols on the floor.

"Huh?" (Y/N) breathed out softly in confusion, tilting her head to the side as the aura slightly illuminated her features, and underneath the ancient table.

Placing down her bag from school off to the side, she clasped her hands together against her chest nervously, as she began to walk towards where the glowing was coming from.

The candles were now all lit up around the room, making things more creepy but intriguing as to what that red glowing was. She kneeled down just before the thick, circle table, and placed her cheek against the floor to see underneath the table.

Her eyes were slightly squinted from the light coming from whatever was under there, her bangs now falling off her forehead instead of laying on it. Reaching out a hesitant hand underneath the table, she tried to feel around for the cause of the glowing, and gasped a little when her fingers grazed something, more like grazed two things.

With her other hand free she pushed back her (H/C) bangs out of her eyes to see more, and grabbed onto the objects now in her palms. She sat up straight on her knees, lifting up her hand and opened it up, to gasp softly seeing what was in her palm.

Two red glowing earrings with black spots were in her palm, seeming to radiate power and freedom that (Y/N) instantly felt washing through her heart. Something in the back of her mind was telling her to put them on, and listening to that voice, she did.

Taking the two earrings in both of her hands now she gazed at them with doe, in awe eyes, and slowly began to place one of the jewellery on her ear, hearing a faint jingle once it was in place.

Once both of the earrings were fitted on her ears, another sudden burst of light shot up around the room in a red aura, that was seen from outside of the shop also from how bright it was.

Flinching backwards she held up her hands over her eyes, in an attempt to shield them from the light that temporarily blinded her. When the aura died down, she dropped her hands with a gasp to see pink and red mist intertwined in one colour forming in the air, followed by a high pitched female voice.

"That took long enough! Phew!" A little creature that resembled a ladybug was floating right above her, the Kwami's name being Tikki. She shakes her little head full of black spots, and gasped in joy seeing the scenery around her, "Huh? My goodness!"

She floats over to one of the lanterns hanging off the ceiling that wasn't lit up, and used her antennae to knock on the metal, making it turn on with a dull yellow, "Exciting! You discovered electricity!"

"Girls can wear pants!" Tikki appeared beside a terrified (Y/N)'s figure who couldn't believe what she was witnessing, and the Kwaim saw she was wearing long pants, "Finally!"

Only when Tikki flew back up near her face (Y/N) let out a loud shriek of fear, that seemed to go forever as the bug covers her ears with her antennae's, shuddering in a cringe, "I forgot how loud this part could be."

"Y-you're talking-!? A talking b-bug-" The Dupain-cheng girl skidded her shoes into the floor, desperately trying to shuffle back away from Tikki, as her thoughts were running faster then she could process them.

"No time to spare, let's do this quick shall we." Tikki quickly interrupted the freaking out girl in a serious voice, and flew down a little more in front of her, hovering in the air, "My name is Tikki, the Kwami of Creating. Nice to meet you, (Y/N)."

The said girl made a exclaiming noise hearing her name out of Tikki's mouth, never having told that to the bug which made her eyes grow wider, backing up more across the floor.

"Yes, I know your name. I'm a Kwami." Tikki stated spotting (Y/N)'s reaction to her words, and raised her eyelashses up at the girl expectedly, "Uh, can you say 'Kwami'?"

A load of jumbled up words left (Y/N)'s mouth in stutters, not understanding what was happening which was setting off her anxiety even more so, and scattered back into a object behind her, gripping her lucky bracelet.

"Er, right, never mind." Tikki sweat-dropped in sympathy for the girl, and flew up into the air again to give her some space to breath, "I'm a tiny genie, expect I don't grant whishes."

She added on with a strict frown, before her face shifted into an excited one, "but together we'll do the most dangerous stunts," She flew back down to (Y/N), to appear back and forth from each side of her, "risk our lives, and save the world! Ready?"

"Last time I had a dream like this, I-" (Y/N) trailed off in a overwhelmed whimper, and gripped the sides of her head to groan in slight embarrassment remembering what had happened, "wet the bed and fell off the bed!"

Tikki giggled a little bit as she floated in level with her (E/C) eyes, and smiled knowingly "Er, cute, but this is real. The Moth has lost the greed of humanity. We don't know what it's capable of." She pointed a small hand at the girl, "The fate of the world is in your hands!"

"What?!" The (H/C) haired girl exclaimed in shock, not believing she heard the creature right as everything was going to fast for her to keep up right now, and stared at Tikki with rapidly blinking eyes.

"Oh, um..." Tikki smiled awkwardly now at the scared human, and clear her throat to think of another idea to tell (Y/N), as she flies in front of her now,  "Let's try this another way."

"You are Ladybug."

Tikki easily pulls up the girl by a finger off the ground, causing her to yelp in shock, and lets herself get dragged over to the body mirror on the wall, to look at her reflection with Tikki beside her in the air.

"And you can do this."

(Y/N)'s face shifted into a sad one knowing she wouldn't be able to do this, as she was too anxious and had serve anxiety issues to be called a 'hero'. She backed off quickly to hide behind a cupboard, face in her hands to ignore what the Kwai was saying.

"So, when things get tough."

Tikki appeared beside (Y/N) in her hiding place, easily finding her as she squeaks, and rushed off to find something else to hide away in. An umbrella was the next option, as she placed it up and shields herself away from everything, and society.

"Together, we'll fight through it."

The umbrella in her hands closed on itself, causing (Y/N) to see Tikki in front of her smiling brightly, and the girl backed up in a heap to land against some drawers, groaning at the rough thump on her back.

"You made a mistake."

"Nope!"

She shirked in alarm when Tikki popped out from one of the drawers beside her figure, as the umbrella dropped out of her hands to the floor, and she was quick to slam the drawer shut.

"It's clear to see."

Tikki slid out of another drawer right above (Y/N)'s head, and flew down to hover in front of her face again. This caused the girl to shove her back more onto the wood, wanting to get away from the creature, and this situation.

"Well, obviously not."

"You need a hero."

(Y/N) slammed her hand onto the drawer Tikki was just in, pushing that close to keep the creature away, and used her other hand on a second drawer, as she just spotted Tikki's red aura peeking out of the gaps.

"Precisely!"

Tikki easily popped back out even with the girls hands holding the wood now, and it made (Y/N) yelp seeing her appearance closer then before. She stumbled backwards away, and shook her head rapidly from side to side.

"That is not me."

Not spotting the falling candle on the ground beneath her feet in time, she ended up slipping on it with a yell, and fell to the ground. A big pot was about to land on top of her, and just caught the pot in her arms, cheek squished against it.

"I love your humility."

The pots lid was popping on and off against the top in a upbeat rhythm, and it made her (E/C) eyes shot up to it nervously, gulping as she didn't want it to break because of her holding it. Tikki flew up to her side once again, gazing at the overthinking hero.

"I picked the right Ladybug in you."

She pushed the pot back up with an exhausted huff, and began to walk through the small shop hastily, keeping her head down away from Tikki's view, a lot of different emotions storming in her head right now.

"But you can be real with me.
Deep down, you know it's true."

Tikki flew around the girls figure with her red aura, and went back over to the candles on a desk in the middle of the room. She blew one of them out, motioning for the other girl to follow along.

"Here we go!"

(Y/N) began to hesitantly follow behind Tikki across the shop, as every step she took something would light up underneath her shoes, and saw a circle glow of aura on the floor, with more ancient symbols.

"I have one job, I'm good at it. Been doing it for so many years. I find hearts
with complete courage, a love that can drive out all fears."

She looks up at the creature with a deep frown, and bit down on her nervously quivering bottom lip. She paused her steps in following Tikki, staying right behind her in a swarm of overthinking thoughts.

"But why me? I'm really
nothing special, bug."

"Wait and see what
you're capable of."

Tikki sent a wave of glittering, yellow shine over the girls figure that momentarily wrapped her in a warm embrace, as she stumbled back a few steps, but planted her feet in the ground to stand steadily.

"I can't be saving the world today."

"Just trust me when I say.
You are Ladybug."

"I'm honestly not!"

(Y/N) kept backing away from Tikki advancing on her, being careful not to bump into things on her way through the narrow pathway, and continued to grip onto her lucky bracelet around her wrist.

"You don't know till you've tried."

"You've honestly got the wrong girl,
I'm not the one."

"And when things get tough-"

She went to make a run for the door in terrified body moments, reaching out to grab the doorhandle but was met with it not opening for her, no matter how much she pulled. Gulping harshly to ease her dry throat, she glanced back over at Tikki, eyes pleading for this to stop.

"I hide in my dreams, and stay in my room!"

"Just be who you are, deep inside."

Curiosity being spiked up again despite how overwhelmed she currently was from this event, she slowly walked back to where Tikki was waiting for her, and clasped her hands together confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Let me break it down. I've been finding Ladybugs for thousands of years. The world always needs one when a threat appears."

A startled shriek escaped (Y/N)'s mouth when yellow glowing hologram figures of monsters appear before her, and watches them all around her with anxious eyes, still knowing this job wasn't cut out for someone like her.

"So, in the darkest hour of our longest night, there's always been a Ladybug
to stand up and fight."

One of the hologram figures appeared to be a massive spider, making her screech more and duck down in a feedable position when it walked straight through her. When it did that it soon disappeared into a flash of gold dust, and fading into thin air.

"The fighting and the spying, becoming best friends. We'll come this close to dying, then we'll do it all again. And it'll be amazing to see, when you've got these abilities. You'll find your groove as a super coccinellid."

Once all the villains in gold dust disappeared in front of her very eyes, she snapped her head back towards where Tikki was flying, and rose her eyebrows up incredulously. The Kwai sensed her second guessing feelings, and went on to try perusing her.

"I'll tell you what's in it for you. You can become someone brand new!"

Shaking her head rapidly (Y/N) waved her hands around in the air, and started to back up slowly once more as no matter how exciting that sound, she knew she wasn't the one for this job. Her sister, the confident one of them would be better, not someone as anxiety written like her.

"Just leave me alone. I wanna go home, I'm not the one that you want in the lead.
I'm not the person you need."

The body mirror stood in front of her on the wall, as she glanced sadly at her reflection, seeing nothing but a clumsy screw up with no skills in both socialising, and every day life. She placed her hands up to her chest, and cradle them there gently, with a long sigh.

"I'm not Ladybug. I can't do this. When things get tough I make excuses, and hide away behind someone else.
I'm not Ladybug."

Tikki huffed out a frustrated breath, really wishing her new friend could see the potential she had to great things, even with her anxiety and timid ways. Wanting to prove that to her, Tikki now was going to take things in her own hands, and flew right up to (Y/N).

"I'm about to kick your butt if
you don't start to listen."

"I can't do this."

"I'm about all out of patience
making your decisions."

(Y/N)'s eyes followed where Tikki was flying around her figure quickly, the bug going around her arms, head, legs, everywhere around her to get ready for the transformation to become Ladybug. She yelped when Tikki made her lucky bracelet light up with red aura, and pulled the arm back down to her chest.

"When things get tough-"

"Things are tough for everyone,
you'll learn to fight through."

"I make excuses."

"Guess I'm gonna have to decide it for you."

"I'm not Ladybug!"

Tikki began to travel around her figure in a quick circle, leaving a trail of pinky red aura behind her as she did so. (Y/N) panicked watching this happening to her, still shaking her head in protest.

"There's no time if you don't know, I do.
You are Ladybug!"

When Tikki arrived where the girls head was she flew straight into her chest, creating a blinding light that blasted out from the sudden emerge between the two, and illuminated the environment inside the small shop.

Once the sudden glow died down around her, (Y/N) blinked slowly to regain her eyesight and groaned tiredly as she looked down at her hands. However she froze spotting them being covered by something, and snaps her head up to gaze at her reflection in the mirror.

Instead of her normal clothes from school, something else stared back at her covering her skin. She now had a bright red mask, with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design around her (E/C) eyes, a luminous vivid red superhero leotard with a black turtleneck collar and black spots.

Her earrings are bright red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the band holding her hair back half up became a red ribbon, resembling a ladybug's wing when it's flying.

Feeling her stomach churn in fear not understanding what was happening, she gasped and shuddered placing her hands against the mask on her face, now shrieking loudly.

"Oh, no, no, no-" She frantically mumbles to herself in panicked breaths, trying to grip onto the mask covering her face, but it wouldn't budge, and she freaked out even more at that new fact.

The suit felt weird on her as she's never worn something like this before, and honestly was never planning to, but guess she had no choice in the matter now. (Y/N), now as Ladybug felt around the suit until she touched the black string of her yo-yo, and gently picked it up in her palm.

The yoyo is a red circle with a smooth surface, and five black spots, with golden swirl designs that is normally tied around her waist, as that it where she found it.

"Wow..." Ladybug whispered in slight awe at the ethereal glow it was illuminating from the swirls, and lets it fall out of her palm, for it to be attached to one of her fingers by a small red hoop.

She grumbled an annoyed sigh to herself, and stomped her suited foot against the cement with a huff, exclaiming to no one in practically, "First a song, now a yo-yo? What's next, a tea set?!"

The yo-yo hanging down off her finger suddenly chimed which caught her attention straightaway, and gasped startled when it began to float above her palm all by itself.

Ladybug flinched back with a shudder when the yo-yo trilled, and went to float around her more without any help, as it moved to the other side of her. The yo-yo softly chirped at her, confusing the girl who gently bumped the object with two fingers.

The yo-yo shot up at her touch and started to move around her figure faster, as the string wraps around her body in a hold, trapping her in it uncomfortable. She shrieks alarm when the yo-yo flew in the air with her, shouting more panicked now as she was pulled out of the chimney, and out into the nighttime sky of Paris.

Her figure was seen flying through the air above all the buildings, legs flailing around as her hands held onto dear life around the yo-yo's string. She was yelling out protest to the yo-yo, silently praying that her anxiety wouldn't act up right now, and cause more problems for her to handle.

Ladybug was being pulled towards where her other partner in crime currently was, quickly flying all the way there by the yo-yo's string, as her shouts echo through the cold air.

Her (E/C) eyes go wide in horror spotting a figure in a black suit on the bell tower, exactly where the yo-yo was pulling her to, and felt her stomach drop realising they were about to crash into each other, "LOOK OUT-"

Her words of warning were not heard quick enough, because she slammed straight into the male. Which sent them both crashing through the glass, and in a heap downwards to the floor, as she felt another body press up against hers, and yelped when the yo-yo stopped their fall, causing her eyes to shut close.

A few second later Ladybug's eyes slowly blinked open with a wincing groan, just barely seeing another set of eyes in front of her, that seemed to resemble a cats gaze, who was also dizzy like she was right now.

"W-where am I?" She whispered to herself as her head was still foggy from the tumble, and finally fully opened her eyes up to see exactly where she was. Once she realised, a loud but frighted shriek left her mouth, that made the other person snap awake now also.

She was hanging upside down entangled in her yo-yo's rope with another figure pressed up against her chest, both their arms and legs unable to move because of the hold they were stuck in together. And another thing, they were up pretty high off the ground also.

The sound of a male clearing his throat next to her caught her attention, as she shakily turned her head, and felt her breath hitch seeing who was pressed up against her.

His name being Cat Noir, who had a golden on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his black suit, and a long belt that wraps around his waist, and hangs out from the back like a tail.

He had black cat ears on his head, and a black mask around his eyes. And his eyes were green sclerae, dark green irises and oval pupils, that seemed to dilate when he now stared at Ladybug's figure.

A charming grin spears across his lips, and his gaze turns slightly lidded as his fluffy blonde hair moves around when he talked to her, "Bonjour!"

Before she could even think of an response to answer with, the yo-yo holding them up began to slip off the ceiling and it sent them falling to the floor now, both shouting in alarm.

Ladybug's figure was flailing, around in the air as she prepared to hit the floor roughly, but didn't expect to feel warm hands catching her, and fall into someone's strong arms.
