Trouble

"I told you so." I said with a small smile as we walked through the white corridors, our guns held up.

"Told me what?" Gally furrowed his eyebrows.

"That Newt was alive."

"I always believed you." He shrugged, keeping his eyes in front of him.

I laughed, "No, you didn't."

"I did-" He pushed open a door and peered through, "Woah."

"What?"

He held the door open the full way, allowing me to look in. I stepped closer, shooting him a look just incase he was messing with me.

The room was full of robots. Robots that looked exactly like Ava Paige. There was at least ten, all dressed in her doctors fit. They were stood the same way, eyes wide open.

My mouth hung open while my eyes looked at each one. I went to walk in, but Gally grabbed my hand and pulled me back.

"Don't go in. It might be dangerous."

I nodded and we continued walking in silence, thinking about what we just saw.

"I shot an android that she was controlling." I blurted, still running the situation through my head.

"Basically." Gally sighed, "Why would she create them?"

"God only knows. For more hands? Maybe she knew we were coming? I don't know."

"Where could she be?" Gally muttered, pushing open a few more doors that led into dark, empty rooms.

"She could be anywhere. Literally. She might not even be-" I started.

"Y/n, it's me, your mum." Ava spoke through speakers, echoing through the walls.

"I'm sorry, darling."

I scoffed and furrowed my eyebrows. Darling? That's new. What was she on about? Sorry about what?

A bomb went off, sending Gally and I flying in opposite directions. The walls around us, immediately cracked and fell while the ceiling crumbled, threatening to collapse.

Ah. That's what she was sorry about.

I coughed as dust filled my lungs. There was too much rubble for me to see Gally but I could hear his groans. The ceiling finally fell, I failed in my attempt to try and avoid being crushed. It crashed down on one of my legs, the one that got shot in the city. I yelled out in pain as a cracking noise ring out, signalling that my bone had broken.

"Y/n?" Gally roared as he shuffled around, "Where are you?"

"Here." I choked, trying to lift the heavy bit of rock of me.

He stumbled across the uneven mess before staring at my trapped legs.

"Shit. Shit. Shit." He swore as he tried to lift it, "Oh no."

"My leg is broken." I cried as another surge of pain rang through my body.

"I figured, as seen as it's bent backwards." He winced at the sight of it.

"Is it actually?" I laughed, "Cool."

"Cool? Y/n, that is not cool." He ran a hand over his face before assessing the situation more, "Okay. I'm going to try move it."

"You do that. I would help but you know..." I trailed off, biting my lip as he moved the ceiling slightly.

"I have to get this off." Gally mumbled to himself.

I squeezed my eyes shut when he finally lifted it and struggled to throw it to the side. He dropped to beside me, grabbing my arms and pulling me up. I shouted out as my leg hit a stuck out rock.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, princess." Gally apologised profusely while he worked on carry me.

Once I was in his arms, bridal style, he started walking quickly back to the others.

"Shuck her." I groaned.

Gally hummed in agreement as he focussed on not tripping over.

"She got away." I said, holding my leg up slightly so it didn't come in contact with his arm.

I got the same response as previous, causing me to smile.

"Well done."

"For what?" He looked down at me for a split second.

"For- for not worrying. In the glade you were constantly worrying about me- me and I found it extremely a-annoying." I spoke through the pain, trying to distract myself from it.

"Oh, trust me, I'm worrying. I'm just not showing it."

"You are a little bit. There is a little eyebrow crease." I tapped in between his eyebrows, laughing which ended as a cough of pain.

"Stop talking." He instructed, knowing it hurt.

"You know that is difficult for me." I chuckled.

"Stop talking." He repeated sternly and I shut up.

"What the hell happened? We heard a bomb go off." Fry scurried over as soon as we reached them. He stared at my leg before grimacing and looking away, "That is nasty."

Minho stood beside him.

"Hey, Min Min." I slurred.

"Why is she acting like she's high?" Minho asked, raising a worried eyebrow.

"I have no clue but the ceiling came down on her. Her legs broken." Gally walked past them, searching for another stretcher.

Frypan pulled one out and placed it next to Newt's. I turned my head to him, wanting to talk but he was either asleep or unconscious. Thomas was staring at him intently, not even bothering to glance at me, which I completely understood. He was in love.

Vince appeared at my other side, blocking my view of my best friend and his lover. I threw my head back as several people touched around the swollen area of my leg.

Gally moved around so he was stood by my head, some of my messy hair touching his trousers. He held onto my shoulders, massaging them before he bent over and pecked a kiss on my lips, upside down.

A needle was injected into my leg and my eyelids became heavy. My dumb ass thought I was dying so I tried my best to keep them open. Soon I realised it was just anaesthesia and I let them drop.

__

I jolted awake when someone started pressing on my leg. It was Joey, a medic.

"Jesus christ, Joey, could you not press so shucking hard?" I groaned, falling back onto my pillow.

"Sorry. I can't help it." He shook his head, "I'm just wrapping it. It's no longer broken."

My eyes widened, "You fixed it?"

"Yes. Broken bones are common and easy to fix."

I smiled at his politeness, "Well, thank you, Joey."

"Yeah, thank you, Joey." A british voice repeated from the bed next to me.

Newt.

"Goldie!" I exclaimed, turning onto my side.

"Hey, y/n." He tried to get into the same position as but he soon stopped when it caused him too much pain.

I glanced to his side to see Thomas sleeping in the wooden chair. I smiled at the worn out boy, who hadn't gotten a good night sleep since we arrived in the safe haven.

"How long has he been here?" I whispered, nudging my head at Thomas.

"Since last night - basically the whole time." Newt rolled his eyes, "He's become really emotional."

"I don't blame him. He thought you died. We all did."

"Nice to know that you missed me." He smirked and if I could I would've gently smacked him.

Gally walked in, a plate of food in his hands. He noticed both of us were awake and smiled happily before sitting in the seat next to my bed.

"Hey." He helped me sit up against the bed board before pecking my lips.

"Hey. Breakfast?" I pouted.

Gally handed me the plate and I carefully balanced it on my lap.

"I see y/n is still food orientated." Newt scoffed, chuckling to himself.

"Yes." Gally rolled his eyes, looking back at the beaten boy, "Good to see you, mate."

"I've missed you and your funny eyebrows." Newt smirked, patting Gally's arm, and I nearly spit out my bacon before bursting out laughing.

"You just eat your food." Gally looked over at me while he bit his lip, trying to ignore what Newt had just said, "You two being back together is going to cause a lot of trouble, I'm calling it now."

"Trouble is our middle name."
