"Anyway, back to the topic at hand before we were rudely interrupted." I rolled my eyes, glaring at Vince and the others beside him.

"Look my leg is fine. It only got bent backwards by the collapsed ceiling then Gally carried me in the roughest way possible."

"What?" Gally stood straight, "How else do you want me to carry you?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe..gently!"

"It's hard when I'm climbing over large pieces of rock."

"You two lover birds, shut up." Minho mumbled, "We just got sent a video from Ava."

"How do you know it's her?" Brenda asked.

Minho laughed, "Because she's the one in the video."

"Obviously, Brenda." Fry snorted, smacking a hand over his mouth because he didn't want to seem mean.

Minho started the video and Ava's face popped up on the make-shift screen. We all turned to it so we could see probably. It felt just like when we were leaving the maze.

"She better not blow her brains out again." I grumbled.

"I know you all hate me. Especially y/n. But I'm not sorry. Everything I'm doing is for the good of others - for you."

"I've heard that before." I muttered and Gally nudged me, silencing me.

"We need a cure to save the world and that can only be done with y/n and Thomas' blood."

"So, this time we're coming for you."

The video ended, the screen turning black. Everyone turned back around, their eyes stuck on Thomas and I.

"We need to evacuate the camp." I declared.

"Give everyone guns or knives - any weapon. I don't care if they can't shoot. They need a way to defend themselves and we can't save everyone by ourselves." I said before walking out the room and straight to the armoury.

"Princess, are you sure about this?" Gally jogged beside me.

"What other choice do we have? She's coming here for T and I. She won't stop until she's gotten us." I said, sliding the armoury door open, revealing the hundreds of weapons.

"Where are we supposed to go?" Minho asked as everyone else walked in.

"Away from here, only until we've beaten her."

"What if we never beat her?" Gally muttered, throwing me my thigh strap full of knives.

I slid a pistol into the holster on my other thigh before turning to him, "We will beat her."

"It's going to be hard." Thomas shoved a clip of bullets into his back pocket.

"We've been against harder things."

"Like what?" Brenda raised an eyebrow.

"Grievers."

"They were designed by her." Fry pointed out.

I grumbled, pulling an SMG off the wall, "Whatever. You are all so pessimistic."

Newt rolled his wheelchair into the room, "I've told everyone and they're freaking out."

"It's expected." Thomas nodded.

"Vince and Jorge are attempting to give them weapons now."

"Attempting?" Gally tilted his head.

"They're slightly scared of them." Newt sighed, "Because of Wicked."

"Well, now is their chance to get their payback." I smirked, walking past him.

I stepped onto the grass, helicopter noises filling my ears as four of them flew over head, landing somewhere I couldn't quite see. Gally appeared behind me, swiftly wrapping his arm round my waist.

I turned to him, "They're here."

"Then let's go get these bastards." He smirked, cupping my face with his free hand as seen as the other was holding his gun.

We both leaned in, our lips connecting in a passionate kiss. I closed my eyes, taking in this moment, praying that it never ended.

He pulled away, his hand staying on my cheek, "Please don't make that our last."

I sighed, "It won't be. I promise."

"Lovebirds!" Minho yelled, making us look at him as the group ran over, "They-

Gun shots cut him off and we nodded, knowing what he was going to tell us.

"One last fight." Thomas muttered, his hand gripping his gun harder.

"It better be the last. 'Cause I'm beyond tired, man." Minho rubbed his eyes.

"Where's Newt?" I asked Thomas.

"Somewhere safe, apparently. Fry has taken him, didn't tell me where."

Men in black suits and masks started to run in from all directions, firing shots at random things.

"Should we put our hands in the middle and do a chant?" Minho questioned, an eyebrow raised.

I snorted, "Maybe after we've won."

"I'll remember you said that."

Gally shot a guy in the chest, causing him to collapse, "Will you both just fight, please?"

I saluted, "Yes, sir. I'm off to find Ava."

"Be careful!" Gally shouted over the commotion.

"Oh, be careful, y/n." Minho put on a girly voice while kicking men down, "I love you so so much, my gorgeous darling y/n."

"Fuck you, Min Min." I hissed before sprinting away in the direction that the men came from.

There were loads of them, each of them taking on one of us. I felt for the people that had just been thrown into this situation without warning.

Two men came running straight towards me and I planted two shots in each of them. I jumped over their bodies a dodged several bullets from a group of four. They ran at me from different angles so I pulled out my pistol with my other hand. I outstretched my arms, firing both guns at the same time while spinning round, all of them dropping dead in a circle.

I continued running, sliding a new clip into my SMG and placing my pistol back in the holster. I spotted a larger helicopter a few yards away but my eye sight was cut off when I guy smacked me round the head with the butt of his gun.

I groaned and stood up straight again, kicking him back and planting a punch across his unmasked face. He ran at me and I swiftly moved round him, securing him in a tight choke hold. Bullets were fired at me so I used his body to shield myself from them but a bullet scraped my leg, making me drop his form and shoot the surrounding men quickly.

"Y/n, don't bother fighting." Ava called out, stepping down from the helicopter onto the muddy ground.

"Why?" I tilted my head, my eyes not leaving her while I lazily shot the guy running towards me, who thought I didn't see him.

"Because we'll win."

I stepped closer, "Who said that?"

"Me."

"Oh, yeah. Because you're always right."

"Just come with us then all this-" She pointed at the destruction around us, "-can stop."

I glanced around at the Safe Haven. It wasn't much of a haven anymore. Most things were burnt down and you could see all the bodies. It used to be so beautiful - why does she have to ruin everything?

"If I come with you, what will you do to me?" I shot another guy, making her flinch slightly.

"Run a few tests. Take some of your blood."

"Some? You'll take all of it, I know you will. And as for tests, I remember how you used to do them before you sent me into the maze. That's not something I want to go through again."

"We just need a tiny bit of your blood, then we can duplicate it." She said in a soft voice in an attempt to get into my head.

I scoffed and she sighed, "Look, y/n.. If it isn't you then it will be Thomas. You don't want that do you?"

"Of course I don't want that. What sick fucker wants that? Oh, wait.. you probably do."

"Y/n, darling-"

She was cut off when a bag was thrown over my head. I attempted to pull the trigger of my gun but my arms were grabbed by two men, who threw all my weapons to the gun.

"Y/N!" I heard Gally shout along with several running footsteps.

I started to get pulled up into the helicopter so I begin to frantically kick my legs and shake my body in a hope to get loose.

"LET HER GO!" He roared and then groaned, telling me that he was being held back by someone, "Fucking get off me!"

"Let me go." I growled.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart."

Why does she always call me these names before and after she's attacked me? Bi-polar bitch.

I felt the helicopter lift off the ground and the bag was ripped off my head while the men attempted to tie my wrists and ankles. I kicked one of them, sending him flying out the helicopter. The other guy started to quicken his pace and made sure the ropes were as tight as possible.

"Go easy on the leg." I snapped, "It's been broken and scraped by a bullet in the last few weeks, it's still a bit faulty."

Ava watched me as I shuffled around, making myself comfortable in the tiny seat.

"You kidnapped me." I mumbled to her, "My own Mum kidnapped me."

And to think that my life was getting back to 'normal'.
