Cells

We weren't in the air for long. Vince was right, the new Wicked facility was close by. Once Jorge called out that we had arrived, each of us stood up and made sure everything was correct and that we all had our weapons. As the door out of the ship opened, I cracked my knuckles and took a few deep breaths for preparation.

"You good?" Minho came up beside me.

"Yeah. Just really hopeful. Maybe a little too much."

"We all are. Well, apart of Brenda." He growled.

My head turned to him, curiously, "Why do you say that?"

"She's only here because Thomas asked her to come. She likes him but she hates how he is all tied up over Newt." He sighed, " She's jealous."

I laughed, "Jealous? That's slightly pathetic."

"Mhm."

I heard the rest of the group come up behind us and Thomas stood next to me.

"Remember, this mission is for two things. Taking down Wicked, for once and for all, and seeing if Newt is alive. If any of you see him, tell us. You all should have put mics in your ears so we can talk." I explained.

"Y/n's right. Inform someone else if you see Newt." Thomas nodded, "We'll be in pairs, so no one is alone. It's safer that way."

"Okay, so I'll go with Brenda," I said, I needed to make sure that if she found Newt she would tell us, "Thomas you go with Minho. Gally you can go with Fry. Vince and Jorge, you'll go together." I smiled and they sent one back.

"Let's go get these bitches." Thomas smirked.

"Be safe." Gally whispered to me before going down a hallway with Fry.

Brenda jogged over to me as I tried to think of which way to go.

"Let's go this way." She pointed left and I rolled my eyes.

"Jorge, Vince, Gally and Fry went that way." I grumbled. "They don't need six people at that side."

"Let's go right then."

"No. Let's go forward."

"Forward it is." She smiled.

I took out my pistols and held them out in front of me. We made sure to stay close to the wall in case we ran in to someone. We came to an intersection. It was bigger than we thought.

"We're going to have to split. You take left and I'll take right." I said, quietly.

"Okay, don't die."

"Same to you." I saluted.

I slowly walked round the corner. There was a three men guarding a door to a room that looked like a lab. I needed to get in there, it seemed important.

"Hey, boys."

Their heads whipped to me and immediately their guns were in their hands, pointing straight at me. The one closest to the door, who had glasses, shot a few times which I cleanly dodged. Then all three of them shot, and to my own surprise I missed most of them. One of them skimmed my arm, leaving a tiny scratch.

I pulled the trigger of one my pistols and it landed in the glasses guy's knee. He fell to floor, groaning in pain and holding his wound. I ran forward, still dodging the other dudes bullets. Fortunately, both of them needed to reload and I took that time to shoot them both in the chest. They fell backwards on top of each other. Dead.

I stepped carefully over them and the glasses guy grabbed my ankle just before I entered the room. I turned my head to him and his eyes stared into mine.

"Sorry, not sorry." I said before shooting his head, blood spurting everywhere.

"Hello, y/n."

Her voice dragged me back to the original task, getting into the room. I waltzed in, both pistols still in hand. And there, in front of me, stood the worst mother possible: Ava Paige. My face dropped as she stepped forward.

"Move back. I don't want your hugs." I grumbled and she did as I said.

Her eyes drifted down the weapons in my hands, "You won't need those."

"And why is that?"

"Because you would never shoot your own Mum."

"I most definitely would." I smirked, "After all, you did shove me in a maze for two and but years for some dumb experiment that got you no where."

"We didn't get nowhere." She turned a computer round so I could see the bright screen.

"I have no clue what that is."

"It's the cure."

"Okay? Teresa figured that out. Not you. Without her, you would never be where you are now."

"That's correct and I owe my thanks to her." She seemed slightly sad but that emotion soon disappeared, "Aren't you wondering how I'm alive?"

I looked away, chuckling, "No, I'm not wondering because I don't care."

"Me being alive saved Newt."

"Is he here?"

"Oh, yes. Of course."

"You're lying."

"He's in cell 250."

I smiled, raising one of my guns up before shooting. The bullet hit her in the stomach and she slowly collapsed to the floor. I walked over and knelt beside her.

"You shot me-me." She coughed out.

"I did. It's what you deserve for killing and using so many people. You deserve it for being a shit parent." I growled, standing back up, "Oh, and don't worry. You will die this time." I shot her again, riht in the heart and immediately her whole body went limp.

Cell 250.

"Y/n?" Gally said though our mics, "Are you okay?"

I forgot about comms.

"Uh, hey. Yeah, I'm fine. Did yall hear that?"

"Yeah." They all mumbled and I squeezed my eyes shut in annoyance.

"Sorry. So, Ava's dead."

"We figured." Minho laughed.

"Find cell 250. Newt is apparently there." I told them.

"We'll be on the lookout." Thomas said, I could tell from his voice that he was smiling.

I stepped over her body and headed out of the other door at the opposite side of the lab. There was a sign with directions on.

Who would need signs?

I rolled by eyes before actually taking in what the sign said.

<---Cells

I followed the sign until I reached a very long hallway. Above each door there was a number. The one closest to me said '300' so I walked down, trying to find '250'. Then I reached it. I checked it up and down for explosives before warily opening it the tiniest bit.
