1 Message from Eli Moskowitz

Lexi's eyes were locked on her phone when she saw the message. Freezing in her place, she opened the message from Instagram and re-read the message over five times to make sure she was not dreaming or anything.

Hey Lexi, I found your Instagram from Miguel and I just wanted to say hi

Lexi smiled at the cuteness from his text and she could just imagine him saying this in real life with his soft, deep voice.

Hi Eli! I'm glad you did, maybe you can text me more now :)

Lexi put her phone back in her pocket then proceeded to walk home, whilst thinking about Eli.

"Wait what?! He texted you," Miguel asked Lexi while they were walking in the halls of the school.

"Yes I know right!? I was walking home when I got a message from him," Lexi said to the boy, the two of them fangirling over the event that happened last night.

"Oh my god, you guys better invite me to the wedding when you get married."

"Miguel, we only texted last night, it's not like we are planning out our whole future."

"Yet."

Lexi glared at the boy playfully, then walked up to their table with lunch trays in their hands.

"Hey, guys," Lexi said to Demetri and Eli.

"Hello female specimen," Demetri said which earned funny looks from the group.

"Hi Lexi," Eli said with his soft smile.

"Hi Eli," Lexi reciprocated the gesture.

"Oh so he gets a hi back but I don't?" Demetri said.

"Oh shush you're just not as special as Eli."

The group just laughed at Lexi's comment then they heard the counselor speak once more which made them groan in annoyance.

"We're not going to name names, but a mother called me because his son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity."

Lexi saw Eli try to hide his lip, but she gently put her hand over where his hand was covering and then intertwined their hands.

Eli smiled at Lexi and she smiled back knowing she was able to make him more relaxed.

Miguel had a big smile on his face looking at the pair. Lexi felt eyes on her and she saw Miguel was staring at her.

"Stop looking creeper," Demetri said to Miguel.

"Look at Eli and Lexi, they're basically holding hands."

Demetri turned his head to look at the air across from them.

"Awwww so sweet, now I have to barf."

Eli glared at him then proceeded to squeeze Lexi's hands tighter.

"Guys, after the Halloween party, we should go get ice cream or something."

The boys nodded, agreeing with her idea.

"Great!"

Lexi walked into the school with her nurse's outfit being a little too revealing near her chest, but she did not care.

"Okay honey if you need anything at all, just call me, I'll be around," Daniel said to his youngest daughter.

"Thanks dad, I will." Lexi hugged her father then walked to the cafeteria to find her sister with her bitchy friends.

As much as Lexi did not want to see Yasmine or Moon, she wanted to say hi to her sister.

"Hey sissy, you look hot," Sam said while Lexi gave her a small twirl from her scrubs skirt.

"I should say that to you."

"Hey, we don't want freshman in our group so scurry on child," Yasmine said harshly to Lexi.

Lexi glared at her and turned to Moon who seemed to have a sympathetic look on her face.

Lexi said goodbye to her sister when she then spotted her friends. Noticing Eli first, she saw that he was wearing a mask and scrubs, just like herself.

"Nurse, nice," Demetri said.

"Thanks, I have my scalpels too just in case anyone tries to cross me," Lexi said while holding up the plastic scalpels.

She turned to Miguel who was wearing a skeleton costume.

"Skeleton. Nice." She then turned her head towards Demetri.

"Necromancer?"

Demetri's eyes lit up. "Yes! See Miguel, finally someone who understands good taste."

Miguel and Demetri started to blabber on about how it looked like a sorcerers costume, but Lexi turned her head to Eli.

" A doctor I see," Lexi smiled at Eli.

"Yeah, I'm a plastic surgeon. I fix people."

"Love that."

Eli smiled at the girl,admiring her contagious smile.

The dance was fun with the four teenagers around. They genuinely enjoyed each others precense and wouldn't have gone with anyone else.

As the dance went on, Lexi and Eli found themselves to get to know each other more and he learned a lot about her.

Eli found out that Lexi had anxiety and when she confessed, he felt more connected with her since they had something somewhat in common.

Lexi couldn't have been happier to finally have real alone time with Eli.

They were usually surrounded with Miguel and Demetri, so this was a time they were grateful for.

Eli had something in his mind for a very long time and he had to get it off of his mind.

"L-Lexi, can I ask you something?"

Lexi turned to the boy and nodded her head.

" Do you like Miguel?"
