LEXI WAS GASPING FOR AIR as she shot up from the hospital bed. Waking up, Lexi saw Johnny sitting in the chair next to her bed.

"Oh my gosh, Lex, you're awake!" Johnny got up from his seat and went over to hug his daughter. 

The pair hugged for a while until Lexi broke it. She glanced at her wrists and saw the bloody bandages wrapped around them. Lexi looked up to Johnny.

"Did I actually do it this time?" Lexi had tears coming out of her eyes, looking at her wrists again, she couldn't help but gag at the fact that she actually attempted to take her life, for real this time.

"Lexi, why would you do this?" Johnny looked into her eyes, hoping to get the truth out of her.

Lexi stared at him for a while, and finally answered his question, but it wasn't the answer Johnny wanted to hear.

"I want to wait when Hawk comes too-"

"Well that good he's in Miguel's room I can just get him-"

"No, I want to tell you, Miguel, and Hawk, all together. I want you guys to know at the same time. Dad, I-I just can't talk about this now." Johnny nodded his head, not wanting to push his daughter any further.

"It's okay, you and Miguel are scheduled to come home later tonight, so if you're ready by then, then you can tell us, but we won't rush you."

Lexi nodded her head. Johnny decided to get her the famous hospital ice cream Lexi has had the past few times from the cafeteria.

As Johnny left, Lexi's phone started to ring with Daniel's contact. She answered her phone, preparing for the furious lecture her dad was going to give her.

"Hey, dad."

"Lexi, what the hell, are you okay? Johnny told me you were in the hospital because you tried to kill yourself? Why Lexi oh my god." Lexi can already tell that Daniel had his signature disappointed look on his face.

"I'm so sorry dad, but I don't want to talk about it now please."

"Okay honey, but we're definitely talking about it when I get home okay? I also got you your favorite chips from Japan that you always loved." Lexi smiled, remembering the scrumptious taste of the chips.

"Aw thank you, dad, I'll talk to you later though."

"Okay, bye honey. I love you."

"Bye dad, I love you more." Lexi hung up the phone and went back to resting, her eyes, hoping the day will go faster so she can go home.

Luckily for Lexi, the day went by quickly and she was able to go home the same night with Miguel. Lexi drove with Hawk while Johnny drove his car and Miguel drove with Carmen.

When Lexi arrived home, she went straight to her bed and she was about to fall asleep, but she was awoken by someone barging through her room.

"Ughh guys, can I please get some sleep?" Lexi put her pillow over her head, but Miguel took it and put it on his back for comfort from the wheelchair.

"Hey, my dad said I could talk whenever I feel like it and now, I don't feel like it."

"Yeah, that was your dad, but as your best friend, I want you to tell me what happened. I kinda need  to know actually because as I was in the hospital, Hawk had to tell me that my best friend was there too because she was about to end her life." Miguel didn't even know it but he was tearing up.

"He's right princess. You're going to tell us either way so might as well say it now."

Lexi sighed and grabbed her pillow so she can have something to fidget with.

"Where's my dad?" As Lexi said that, Johnny came in with a beer in his hand.

"Dad, I told you to stop drinking what happened?"

"You and Miguel went to the hospital." Lexi felt guilty for making Johnny drink again, but that was not the point now.

"Okay guys so the story I'm going to tell you is something really personal with me, but I need to get it off my chest."

The three boys were listening, waiting for Lexi to tell them what was up.

"So a while ago, maybe a year or two ago, I was dating this boy. Austin. I was so stupid and blind to see how the boy he really was."

Lexi could see that Hawk's knuckles her white so she put a hand on top of his, immediately calming him down.

"And he would be physically and mentally abusive towards me. One time, I tried to break up with him, but that was a mess. He hit me so badly I came home with a bloody face. Daniel wanted to press charges, but I begged him not to. because--" Lexi started to cry, the painful memories coming back to her mind.

Hawk engulfed her in a long and protective hug, not imagining what she was going through. Lexi smiled from the comfort of Hawk and gave him a small peck on the cheek, making him blush.

"Recently, he texted me and kept sending me threats through texts. Actually, he's been doing that for probably the past couple of months. I couldn't tell anyone because I knew he has the capability of actually committing murder. So I thought the most logical thing for me to do to end it all was to kill myself."

Miguel was next to hug Lexi and she hugged back immediately, loving the comfort from her best friend.

"Lexi, I promise you, you're not alone and you have me, Hawk, Sensei, your other family, everyone. I don't care what you say we are going to report this to the cops and we're going to have Austin go to jail. For good."

Lexi never heard Miguel talk like this before. Usually, their conversation would be goofy and not serious, but this was one of the first conversations they had that was serious.

"Lex I agree. This has gone too far. I don't give a shit about what you say. You can beg me all you want like you did with Danielle, but I'm no pussy like him. I'm not going to give in. We are going to cops and we're putting this son of a bitch in prison." Lexi smiled at Johnny, loving his supportiveness and protectiveness, but that smile went away quickly.

"The thing is that we can't take him to jail. His dad is the fucking captain of LAPD." That's when the faces of the boys fell. Luckily Hawk had a plan B. 

"It's okay baby, you don't need to worry. If he ever comes near you, and I mean anywhere near you like a block away or whatever, I will protect you with everything I have. I won't let him touch you ever again." Hawk kissed Lexi's forehead and pulled her closer to him.

Lexi started to sob now. She was still worried Austin will try something again. "Guys I love you all so much, but you don't know what he is capable of." He really fucked her up.

"I just don't want you to get hurt because of me."

"I don't care Lexi. We would do anything for you and I know Hawk and sensei would too," Miguel said, knowing they would all have Lexi's back no matter what.

"Oh my god you guys, I really don't know what I did to deserve you guys. Come on, bring it in." The boys all tackled Lexi into the biggest group hug ever. For the first time in a long time, Lexi felt safe and she knew Miguel, Hawk, and Johnny would protect her at all costs and she was thankful for that.

Miguel spoke up after the comfortable silence.

"You know, if it was legal I would be on my way to murder Austin right now."

"Same." Everyone else said, agreeing with Miguel.

"Okay guys, I should really be getting some rest, so get out of my room." The boys laughed and they were about to leave Lexi's room until she called Hawk's name.

"Except Eli. Stay here please." Johnny gave Lexi a warning look, but she gave him a look back telling him it was okay. Hawk closed the door so only he and Lexi were in her room.

"So, why did you want me?" Hawk was nervous, wondering what she was going to say.

"I just wanted to say, after almost dying, well if I did die, I would've regretted not telling you how much I need you in my life."

Hawk sat down on her bed, intrigued by the conversation.

"Lexi, what happened to us? What was the point of us breaking up? We both know how much we need each other." Lexi stared into Hawk's eyes for a while, then did the unthinkable.

Lexi said it was her instincts but she also thought it was fate. She pulled Hawk into a kiss, him kissing back immediately.

When they pulled away, Hawk told Lexi what he told her when she was unconscious in the hospital.

"Lexi, I love you so much. You're my life s-s-so if you want, will you please be my girlfriend again?" Lexi's smile grew wide and she pulled him into another kiss.

After breaking apart their lips, Lexi told Hawk what she wanted to tell him for a while too. "I'll always be your girlfriend no matter what. I hope you will love me again like you use to."

Hawk gave Lexi another passionate kiss, a kiss they both have been longing for.

"Princess, I never stopped loving you and I never will. You're my forever."

"Awwwww you guys are so cute it's gross."
The couple turned their heads to see Miguel peeking through the door.

Hawk and Lexi both flipped off Miguel which made him flip them off back.

"Fuck off Miggy," Lexi said playfully.

"Blah blah, Just go back to eating each other faces off."

Should Hawk and Austin have an encounter with each other. 👀 ?
