LEXI WAS ABLE TO GO HOME after a quick miracle recovery from the hospital. She expected Daniel to pick her up but was shocked to see Johnny in the car as well.

"Woah, dad, why is Johnny in the car with us?" Lexi said quietly, trying not to wake up Johnny.

"We're going to see Robby's mom at a rehab center. " Lexi nodded and got in the backseat, looking at the scenery while Daniel was driving and Johnny was snoring.

Johnny abruptly woke up, making Lexi jump. "Hey. Got you some juice. Advil is in the glove department."

Johnny grabbed the bottle and inspected it as if it was an out-of-earth object.

"This looks like raw sewage." Lexi peeped her head over Johnny's shoulder, making him jump too.

"Jesus, Lexi, you scared the shit out of me. Wait, you're out of the hospital already?"

"Yeah, my body surprisingly has a fast recovery time which is good. I literally got out this morning. By the way, that 'raw sewage' is very good." Johnny looked at Lexi as if she was crazy, but drank the juice anyways.

Johnny took a sip of the smoothie and his face scrunched up, disgusted by the taste. Lexi looked at him and laughed, knowing he was not going to like it.

"Ughhh are we almost there yet?" Lexi whined, getting impatient.

"Actually, yes, look out your window." Lexi turned her attention outside and saw people doing yoga outside a nice house.

The trio walked out of the car and into the rehab house. Lexi was in awe of how beautiful and peaceful it looked.

"This is what rehab looks like?" Johnny was looking around the building.

"This is one of the best facilities in the country." Walking in the front entrance, two women walked in front of Johnny, making him wink at them.

Lexi laughed while Daniel rolled his eyes. "Focus, will ya. Were here for business, not pleasure. "

"Welcome to Malibu Canyon Recovery." The lady looked at Johnny. "You're doing a very brave thing."

Lexi and Daniel both tried to contain their laughter, but that was almost impossible. " Oh yes, yes he really is doing a brave thing," Lexi said, putting her hands on his shoulder, Johnny glaring at her.

"Aw, we love a supportive daughter. You guys are such a beautiful family and  a gorgeous couple." The lady pointed towards Daniel and Johnny, assuming they were a couple and Lexi was their kid.

That is when Lexi lost it. She was laughing out hysterically making the lady confused. Lexi recomposed herself trying to contain her laughter.

"Oh no, no, no, no, no, we...are not-"

"Yeah, we are not-"

"It's okay, my dads are just got in a little argument on the ride here." Lexi put both of her arms around Daniel and Johnny, going along with the enjoyment of that lady thinking they were a couple.

"Oh, I understand it can be hard at first. Don't worry he will get used to it." The lady winked at Lexi then walked away.

"Oh what a way to start my life back from the hospital."

Time went by and when Lexi heard that Robby got arrested after showing up to the rehab center, she felt her heart tear apart.

She wished that she was there to comfort him, but Daniel told her not to go since it would have been traumatizing. She set up an appointment to visit Robby next week in juvie.

The only good thing that came out of this was that Lexi was able to see Miguel since he was awake at the hospital.

"Hey, Miggy." Miguel turned his head to see his best friend standing there. He smiled, happy that she was okay and well... alive.

"Lexi, oh my god, I'm so happy you're okay." Miguel signaled her to come over to his bed and he gave her a hug.

"So, I see your hair definitely grew." Miguel laughed at his best friend, but his smile fell when he saw Lexi's head hang low.

"You okay Lexi?" Tears were falling down and Miguel immediately put his hand on her cheeks and wiped them away.

"You shouldn't have put me before you over that railing," Lexi whispered, choking on her tears.

"Lexi stop, just stop, I did it because I love you okay? You're my best friend. I'll do anything for you. " Lexi couldn't help but smile at him.

"I just wish it was me instead of you."

"No stop, I do it again if it means keeping you safe," Miguel spoke confidently and firmly, making Lexi feel secure and protected.

"I love you Miggy." Lexi went to hug Miguel again.

"Love you more, Lexi." A third voice came outside Miguel's room making them turn to the door.

"El Serpiente."

Lexi turned to see Hawk standing there. "Come on in Eli."

He came in and gave Miguel a bro shake. Hawk turned to Lexi and was debating whether or not he should hug Lexi, but it didn't matter since she hugged first.

"I'm glad to see you out of the hospital beds, princess."

"Thanks, Eli, me too. Um, I'll let you guys have your bro time. I'm going to get some food in the cafeteria. Do you guys want anything?" Miguel shook his head, but Hawk thought the opposite.

"Ooo, I'll have some ice cream, the same one I gave you when you were in the hospital." Lexi nodded and smiled, heading towards the cafeteria.

Lexi was in line getting the ice cream and then she heard her phone ring. Johnny was calling her and Lexi answered it.

"Hey, Dad, what's up?"

"Lex, how do you work a lemon?" Lexi perked her head in confusion, wondering what Johnny was talking about.

"Uh, what's a lemon?"

"You know a lemon. You have one. It's one of those square books that light up."

Lexi smiled and figured out what he was talking about. "I think you're talking about a laptop?"

There was silence on the other end of the line. "Uh, yeah I guess. Anyways, I keep pressing all of the buttons and I can't seem to find the internet."

"Have you tried connecting to wifi?" Lexi stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Of course I have... What's a wifi?"

Lexi started to laugh which made her happy since she hasn't laughed in a while. "Don't worry dad, I'll show you everything when I get home."

"Okay, come home soon, I made your favorite dish for dinner."

"Oh my gosh yes, it's fishstick pasta day. Okay, I'm visiting Miguel now, But I will see you at home."

"Okay bye, Lex."

"Bye, dad." Lexi hung up her phone and went back into Miguel's room.

"Alright, I got your ice cream." Lexi handed Hawk his ice cream and a smile appeared on his face.

"Mmm, yes, my favorite. Mint chocolate chip."

"Our favorite actually." Hawk looked over at Lexi and the pair stared into each other's eyes, good tension definitely rising.

"Ugh, can you guys stop making me the third wheel? It's sad." Miguel spoke up, making Hawk and Lexi break eye contact.

Hawk and Lexi looked at each other, the same idea forming in their heads.

"Uh oh, what are you guys plotting now?" Miguel was fearing what was about to come for him.

"GROUP HUG!" Lexi and Hawk shouted at the same time and pounced at Miguel, giving him the biggest hug ever.

"Ughh I love you guys," Miguel said muffled since Lexi and Hawk were on top of him.

"We love you too."

Everything was going great for Lexi and her friends and she thought life would get better, but the thoughts of guilt, anxiety, and pain were not going to leaving her mind.

And it's not going to go away any time soon either. Little did Lexi's friends know, she's currently hanging onto life by a thread.
