"BABE, I DONT THINK YOU CAN PULL off being over 21." Lexi was lecturing her boyfriend after getting the idea of him buying alcohol.

"Watch me, sweetheart." Hawk then grabbed a twelve-pack of beer and the couple went up to the cash register.

"Sup? Oh, did you catch the game last night? See Puig with the walk-off?"

"No, man, but I heard he flipped the bat to the moon."

"Yeah, I was at the bar last night with my buddies from work. The whole place went wild."  Hawk said trying to sound interested, hopefully getting on the mans good side.

"I wanted to go, but my girlfriend dragged me to some lame-ass play."

"Bitches will be bitches." When Hawk said that, Lexi gave him a look and slapped the back of his head.

"Um excuse me, your 'bitch' is standing right next to you." Lexi glared at Hawk who basically insulted her. Right in front of her too.

"Sorry, princess, you know you're my everything." Lexi smiled at her boyfriend, loving his softness towards her.

"Yeah. So how much it gonna cost?"

"Gotta check your ID first."

Hawk laughed and grabbed Lexi's hand from under the counter. "Hah, I'm flattered."

The cashier gave Hawk a deadpan look, being serious with him.

"That's my kid right there and this is my wife."

Lexi's eyes widened and she almost choked on her saliva at what Hawk said. Lexi gripped Hawk's hand tighter.

"Yeah, I still need to see it. It's required by law.

"Oh, yeah, for sure. Just upholding the law." Hawk gave the man his ID and he stared at it for a while until giving it back to him.

"Whatever."

"Yes!" The teens behind the couple started to cheer softly.

"Oh, and how about eight bottles of that vodka."

After the man went to the back to grab the vodka bottles, Lexi spoke up.

"So, I'm your wife now huh?"

Hawk kissed her forehead then looked into her eyes.

"Wait in the future when I'm on one knee for you, babe."

"Give me another bottle of beer," Lexi said to Aisha who gladly gave her a cool bottle.

"Damn Lex, another one? How are you not drunk yet?"

"I guess I'm not a lightweight." Lexi then chugged the bottle within seconds.

"Still nothing? Lexi heard Aisha talk to Miguel from behind her.

"Nope."

"Well, maybe her phone died," Aisha said, trying to comfort Miguel.

"Whatever. Let's get the party started without her. "

Miguel popped open a beer and chugged it just how Lexi did.

Lexi was now standing by herself, enjoying the laughter and happiness from the teens that surrounded her, until she got a text and looked down at her phone.

Her heart immediately dropped, pounding out of her chest. Her breathing started to get shallow.

Her attention was so focused on her phone she didn't even hear Hawk call her name.

Lexi jumped when she felt a hand over her shoulder.

"Hey, babe are you okay?" Hawk looked at her, concerned why she was so skittish.

"Y-Y-Yeah, I'm okay." Hawk didn't buy it.

"Lexi, what's wrong," Hawk asked her in a more serious tone. It was so serious, it almost sounded menacing.

"Don't worry about it, Eli. Just thought I saw something." Lexi lied to her boyfriend which she wished she didn't do, but in this case, she had to.

It was starting to get dark and Lexi decided to chug another beer.

Arms were wrapped around Lexi's waist and pulled her to their chest.

"You are so beautiful, princess," Hawk whispered into Lexi's ear gently pulling her hair behind her neck.

Lexi was about to turn around and kiss Hawk but was interrupted by the loud voice of Miguel.

"Hey, hey hey, who is this guy." Miguel was super drunk and Lexi could tell with his loss of balance.

"Yeah. Miguel, relax. This is Robby. He works for my dad." Sam had just arrived to the party and showed up with Robby.

"Oh, with your dad. Okay, that makes a lot of sense."

"What's that suppose to mean." Sam's face fell seeing Miguel act like this.

"Miguel, calm down, you should hear what Sam has to say first," Lexi spoke to him, hoping to calm him down.

"Lexi shut up, you don't know what you're talking about half of the time." When Miguel said that, he immediately regretted it, but Lexi was already hurt.

"Hey," Hawk said angrily with Miguel for talking to his girl like that.

"Don't talk to her like that." Robby stood closer to Lexi, standing face to face with Miguel.

Hawk turned to Robby and glared at him. "And who are you?" Hawk was suspicious as to why a random boy would stand up to his girlfriend like that.

"Robby, who are you?"

"Hawk, why are you talking to my girlfriend?"

"Why can I not?" Hawk started to get face to face with Robby, clenching his fists about to get ready to punch him.

Lexi noticed his clenched fists and grabbed his hands, holding them to her chest.

"I texted and called you all day and you couldn't answer me back once?" Miguel was getting really angry now.

"I literally couldn't, my Mom took away my phone."

"Oh, that's convenient."

"Hey man watch it," Robby said and Miguel pushed him to the ground.

"Miguel, stop it!" Lexi went to comfort her sister until she saw Miguel get close to Robby's face.

"Hey, boys, stop, this is getting out of ha-"

Before Lexi could finish her sentence, Miguel accidentally punched her.

"Oh, Lexi, I-I'm sorry, I didn't mea-"

"What's wrong with you?" Lexi couldn't help it anymore. As much as she loved Miguel as her best friend, she hated to see him drunk.

"Dude, don't ever touch her like that again." Hawk was pissed at his friend, but he also knew he was drunk.

"Hey, you okay Lexi? How about I take you home with your sister-"

Robby got interrupted by Hawk speaking up.

"I'll take her home. How am I supposed to know you won't do anything to her too?"

Robby was getting closer to Hawk, then Lexi spoke up.

"Oh my gosh, guys, can we please just stop it and go home?" Lexi was frustrated with all of the fightings in the past ten minutes. She just wanted to go home.

Hawk slowly backed away from Robby, the pair still glaring at each other.

"Come on, sweetheart, let's go." Hawk wrapped his arm around Lexi's shoulder then turned the other way to get to his car.

He looked behind him one more time, giving Robby an evil eye.

The couple went to Hawk's car and then drove the rest of the ride in silence.

Until Lexi's phone buzzed. An unknown number appeared on her screen and the same feeling from earlier at the party took over her body again.

She opened the text and her heart stopped, recognizing the number from the past.  Lexi thought she blocked this number a long time ago, but she was wrong.
