"OKAY EVERYONE, FALL IN," Johnny said while coming out from his office.

"Where is everyone? Crater face? Nose ring? Slingshot? "

"They quit, sensei," Miguel said quietly while his head was hanging down low.

"You serious?" Lexi was next to Johnny. He turned his head towards her and she nodded her head silently.

"I mean good, that was a test. I wanted to see who the quitters are. Not you guys, you're in it to win it."

"Right, you could be at home, playing your iComputers, playing your video games, eating candy."

"Instead, you're here, doing pushups, learning how to fight."

Johnny turned his attention to Eli now.

"Lip. Look. Even Lip's tougher than those guys. He's no quitter."

"Can you please not call me that," Eli said quietly.

"Excuse me what?"

"I said could you please not call me that," Eli said a little bit louder.

Miguel and Lexi turned to each other and they were concerned about what was going to happen next.

"Um I'll warm them up, sensei," Miguel said, but Johnny interrupted him

"No no no no no, Lip has something he wants to say. Sorry, speak up, Lip.

Eli was hesitant to speak up again. "Or is your tongue messed-up too? Are you one of those challenged kids?"

Lexi had enough of it. She couldn't hear Johnny say that stuff anymore. "Um, Johnny, you should really cool it do-"

"No no no, Lexi, I got this," Johnny said gently pushing past her to get to Eli.

"Um, the doctor said I could be on the spectrum."

"I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto. All right? If you don't want me to call you Lip, then don't have a weird lip. Can't you get surgery for that?"

"Miguel, we have to say something," Lexi said quietly to him.

"I know, but you know how he is, he won't listen to us either way."

Lexi sighed in frustration, knowing there was not much she could do.

"I was born with a cleft lip. This is the scar from the surgery."

"You mean it was worse before that? Or did the doctor just screw up? Because if this is the after photo, that sucks, man. You should sue."

Lexi felt bad for Eli, knowing his scar was a very sensitive subject to talk about.

"Can we just please change the topic?" Eli looked over to Lexi and when he met eyes with her, she gave him a soft smile, in which he returned.

"You don't think I want to? It's tough when it's right in front of me. If you want to be something other than a nerd with a scar on his lip, then you gotta flip the script. Okay? Get a face tattoo.Or gauge your eye out. We'll call you Patch, all right?"

"Um, actually, Eli, do not do the last one please," Lexi slightly chuckled, hopefully easing up the tension.

"Yeah nevermind, don't do that one. You'll still look like a freak," Johnny said emotionlessly.

With that, Eli left out the back door. Lexi gave Johnny a cold stare then left out the same door to go after him.

"Eli! Eli!," Lexi ran to catch up to the boy. He was about to go into his car until Lexi went up to his door.

"I'm sorry, Lexi, I told you that I would do karate for you, but I just cant."

"Eli, please jus-"

"No! I- I can't." Lexi jumped back at Eli's yelling since she has never heard him yell like that before. Eli noticed the girl jump and his eyes immediately softened.

"L-Lexi, I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm just frustrated with life, that's all."

Lexi smiled at him. Don't worry Eli, it's okay. I just want you to feel comfortable whatever you chose."

Eli couldn't help but smile at the girl's sweetness. He pulled her into a hug and tightly wrapped his hands around her waist.

He felt comfort while hugging her. Lexi was his dopamine, and he needed her.

That's when Eli thought of the most brilliant idea.

He did not want to leave the dojo and he also wanted to karate it for Lexi, so he decided to do the most logical idea.

He's flippin' the script.

"Three more absences, Sensei," Miguel said while Johnny started to walk around the dojo.

"What a bunch of pussies," Aisha said after Miguel.

Lexi sighed while she stood in her gi in between Aisha and Miguel.

"You okay, Lexi," Miguel asked hoping the girl was okay.

Lexi was basically Miguel's best friend and would tell each other everything if something was wrong.

But this time, Lexi lied to him.

"Yeah I'm okay Miguel, don't worry about me." He didn't buy it, but brushed it off since Johnny was eyeing them to shut up.

"No, it's my fault. Since you joined Cobra Kai, I have been hard on you. I've called you names. I've humiliated you. Some of you l've hit."

Lexi was shocked and surprised to see Johnny apologize for his own mistakes.

"And for that, I don't apologize."

Oh no, she was wrong. Lexi facepalmed herself and mentally took back what she was thinking about Johnny.

"I used to have no friends. Used to be the weirdo kid. Not that weird, I still hooked up with babes and all, but... the point is, I wasn't always the badass sensei I am today. Just like a cobra, I had to shed my loser skin to find my true power. And you guys will too."

The bell chimed making Lexi and the rest of the class turn their heads towards the door.

Lexi's jaw dropped at what she saw in front of her.

Behold, Eli in a mohawk, his hair dyed blue. Lexi couldn't mutter up any words to say, so all she was able to get out was; "Woah."

"Welcome to Cobra Kai," Johnny said to him.

"Woah, Eli, what happened," Miguel said, also shocked at what he is seeing.

"Im flipping the script," Eli said while turning his head to Lexi, winking at her before turning back to Johnny.

Lexi felt butterflies in her stomach and new emotions at the sudden outburst of Eli's confidence.

She would have never imagined to see him like this , but shes not complaining.

"Wait, are you the kid with the lip? Nice cut, bro. You see that? Doesn't matter if you're a loser or a nerd or a freak. All that matters is that you become badass."

"Hawk, fall in," Johnny said, impressed with the boys new looks.

Hawk took a stand next to Lexi, gently nudging her arm.

"Woah Eli, your hair," Lexi said with a chuckly while touching his mohawk.

"You like it?" Eli asked with a more confident tone. Lexi noticed how his voice was more firm and loud compared to before.

"Love it," Lexi said going back to her spot.

"So does that mean I have to call you Hawk from now on?"

Hawk walked towards her and then grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"I can make an exception for you,but just for you sweetheart."

Eli calling her sweetheart made her heart skip a beat.

"Glad to know I'm one of your favorites," Lexi said to Eli.

"You'll always be my number one, beautiful."
