"Mauricio died, Haesung, and Y/N's in danger. You're the only one I know who can help me. You were my husband's best friend. Please, you have to help me protect my daughter." Your mother pleaded.

"Isabel, you know we don't do favors. If I do this we will look like we're choosing favorites. We only protect our own. You're our ally, but-"

"Yes, I know how it works." Isabel interrupted.

"But there can be a negotiation," Haesung mentioned. "Your daughter can be a part of our mafia."

"What do you mean?"

"An arranged marriage. If your daughter marries my son Taehyung, she'll be counted as one of us."

Isabel stayed quiet for a moment while she thought about her answer.

"An arranged marriage and your daughter gets all the protection she needs." Haesung persuaded.

"Fine. An arranged marriage in exchange for the protection of my daughter." Isabel agreed.

Haesung and Isabel drove to his office where she signed the papers.

"I can't believe I just handed my own daughter over like an item." Isabel mused.

"It's for something important. Plus, the contract states that all they have to do is live together, act like a couple in public, and Y/N take our last name. They can see other people in secret and no sex is involved without the other persons' consent."

You tried to process what your mother had just told you. You completely understood the reason—your father died and you inherited all his enemy's. Now your mother is worried they'll come for you.

But I'm young. All I want to do is go out with my friends not be married or live knowing that any day could be my last.

You've met the Kim's once, but that was when you were younger. You don't even remember Taehyung.

"I'm really sorry, Y/N. This is the only way I knew to protect you." Your mother sobbed and all you could do was stay quiet.

"What the hell made you think that was okay?!" Taehyung yelled at his dad. "I'm not some fucking toy you can just give out! I won't go through with this!"

"Watch your tone with me, young man." Haesung sat down at the head chair of the table. "You will go through with this because I say so. Y/N is the daughter of a family friend. There won't be much changes except for you living with her in a house I already bought for you. You can still have your freedom. It's not like you will be tied down."

Taehyung rolled his eyes at his father and he grabbed his shoulders forcing Taehyung to look at him.

"Think about it son. You'll be marrying the daughter of a mafia king. If you want to reach the top what better way than by marrying someone who everyone knows as the mafia princess?"

Taehyung pondered about his dad's decision.

How bad could this be? The only thing changing is where I live. I still get to fuck around with girls.

"When's the wedding?" Taehyung asked once he gave in.

"In 2 days."

"My boy looks so handsome!" Taehyung's mother complimented as she fixed his tie.

"But I look better," Jin commented.

"Really Jin?" Yoongi rolled his eyes at him.

"Exactly. Don't be so conceited. It's Taehyung's day today." Jimin chuckled.

"Fine. Just for today." Jin said.

"I'll go check if everything's ready." His mother informed before leaving the room.

"Have you seen your new wife-to-be?" Jungkook asked.

"No." Taehyung let out a faint laugh and pulled out a tiny plastic bag.

He opened the bag and spilled the white powder onto the vanity table. He aligned it into a line with his credit card and tapped it twice against the table in order to take the excess cocaine off the edge of the plastic card.

"What?" Hoseok's eyebrows raised. "You don't even know what she looks like?"

Taehyung brought the rolled up won bill up to his nose, covered the opposite nostril, and snorted the whole line in one swift motion. He threw his head back and slumped on the chair, instantly bringing the back of his hand to his nose and wiping off the excess.

"I couldn't care less. It's not like I'm gonna fuck her."

"Still. You should go meet her." Namjoon suggested.

"No. She's just another girl who's using my family for something." He rolled his eyes at the boys.

"You look amazing, darling." Your mother complimented as she fixed the back of your wedding dress.

"Thanks," You answered softly.

"Y/N," She turned you around and took your hands into hers. "I'm so sorry for making you go through this."

"It's okay. I understand. After dad passed away all his enemy's decided to come for me, so if you trust the Kim's, then I do too."

"How did I get such an understanding daughter?" She pulled you into a tight hug.

You both heard a knock at the door and turned to see it opening. An older man walked in and towards your mother and you.

"Y/N, this is Haesung, Taehyung's dad." She introduced.

Your eyes grew wide and you quickly bowed.

"You look beautiful, Y/N." He complimented.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim."

"No, please. Call me Haesung." He smiled and you smiled back. "I came here to tell you that it's time. Everyone's waiting."

You slowly walked to the doorway of the ballroom and stood still for a moment as all the guests stood to welcome you. Your gaze averted from the guests to Taehyung who was standing at the front of the altar. He looked at you for a moment before rolling his eyes.

Isn't he just peachy?

The orchestra started playing and you made your way down the aisle. Once you were at the end, Taehyung extended his arm and grabbed your hand. You stood in front of him, trying your best to not make it obvious to the guests that you were avoiding eye contact.

"Y/N! Congratulations!" Your aunt Jamie walked up to you and kissed your cheek. "Such a late notice though. You should be happy we love you a bunch."

"Yeah." You forced yourself to chuckle.

"Honestly! Why didn't you tell us you had a boyfriend? That you were engaged?" Your cousin questioned.

"Um, well-"

"Everything just happened so fast." Taehyung came from behind you and wrapped his arm around your waist. "Young love, you know?"

"Ah, young love. I love it." My aunt grinned. "Well, enjoy your party."

"Thank you." You smiled.

Your cousin and aunt walked away from both of you and Taehyung unwrapped his hand from your waist.

"You need to learn how to lie," Taehyung remarked.

"Sorry that I'm not really good at it. I don't lie on a daily basis." You responded.

"You're assuming I do?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Just taking a wild guess." You shrugged.

"Mr. and Mrs. Kim to the middle of the dance floor. It's time for your first dance as a married couple." Taehyung's dad spoke into the microphone.

Taehyung intertwined your fingers with his and lead you to the dance floor. He placed his hands on your waist and you wrapped your arms around his neck.

"We should kiss." Taehyung interrupted after a few seconds of dancing.

"What? No." You quickly responded.

"Have you never been to weddings? The couples always kiss during their dance. If we want to make this believable we have to act like we're in love. It's part of the contract."

You bit your lip in worry and looked at him for a few seconds, processing what he just blurted out.

"Fine." You agreed.

Taehyung placed his hand on your left cheek and he leaned in. His lips touched yours and they moved slowly and in sync with his.

If we were in a totally different situation, I wonder if this is probably what a kiss full of love would feel like.

The guests cheered and clapped at the kiss. Taehyung pulled away and licked his lips. The song ended and you couldn't be happier.

The car ride to your new house was quiet and awkward. Your mother had sent your stuff to the house earlier so everything was already there.

"This is the house?" Your jaw dropped.

"Yes," Taehyung responded.

This wasn't even a house. This was a mansion. You didn't understand why it had to be so big if it was only two people.

You walked into the house and Taehyung showed you to your room.

"My room is down the hall to the right." He informed.

Taehyung turned to leave, but you stopped him before he reached the door.

"Taehyung, do you mind?" You gestured at the zipper.

Taehyung hesitated for a second, but then walked over to you. You turned around and moved your hair out of the way. His cold fingers coming in contact with your warm skin, as he undid the buttons and zipper, gave you goosebumps. You tightly crossed your arms in front of you to avoid the strapless dress from falling off your body. You turned around to face Taehyung who was already eyeing you.

"Thanks." Your gaze shifted to the floor.

Taehyung grabbed your chin and slowly lifted it up so you could look at him.

"I hate not making eye contact with the person I'm talking to."

"Sorry." You apologized softly.

"For what? For avoiding eye contact?" Taehyung chuckled. "I'll leave you be."

Taehyung looked at you one more time before leaving your room.

Why did I get so nervous around him?

He's just so... intimidating.
