Author's pov:
The smooth bright red hair brushed gently against his cheeks as he kept his focus on his mobile, his eyes fell on the soft snoring being snuggled against him. A smile automatically made its way towards his lips, he brought up his left hand towards the younger’s face and slowly pushed back the strands of his hair behind his ears and then let his hand take its own time in feeling the velvety skin of the younger.
He didn’t realize that his faint touch could wake Taehyung up, until he stirred a little making Jimin halt and stare at him lovingly as he watched the boy slowly open his eyes and look at all his surroundings til it finally landed upon Jimin. He stared up at the older, admiring his usual bare face and the way his black hair covered his forehead making him appear cute.
Taehyung’s lips formed into a smile as he mumbled, “Good morning, hyung.”
Jimin, reciprocating his smile, opened his mouth to greet him back but he couldn’t form the words, his voice betrayed him. He noticed the way Taehyung was looking at him in confusion, he felt so embarrassed while he looked like a mute. He tried his best to talk but failed every moment.
The more the older one failed, the more the younger one got angry. He abruptly sat up and glared at him, “You ruined my morning!” He shouted and climbed off of the bed furiously, leaving Jimin behind who was trying to call him. He cleared his throat and called him again and this time he succeeded but it was too late as Taehyung was already in the arms of some other guy.
His eyes shot open, as wide as the owl’s as it wandered around his pixel white and misty coloured room, looking for Taehyung and the person he was with. His heavy breath got lighter and lighter as he realized that all of that was just a dream. A stupid dream.
He heaved out a sigh and shook his head before grabbing his mobile from the nightstand table, unlocking it he quickly opened his and Taehyung’s chat and sent him a morning message.
Jimin
Good morning!!
Ever since they began hanging out together almost everyday, their bond got better and better. They could understand each other without the need to explain themselves in some circumstances. For him, even a one minute conversation with the younger person would make him feel good.
Whenever Taehyung would call him by his name accidentally, his heart would bloom. Although he loved it when the latter addressed him as Hyung, he loved it when called by his name.
They would often spend time in the biblio’s cafe, reading books together, talking about each other’s day and even helping each other like, last week Jimin had helped him with his assignment, and the younger one helped him in cleaning the whole library making it look as fresh as the flowers in a particular season.
For Jimin, Taehyung was his happy pill that he wanted to gulp down every now and then. He would feel lonely the moment Taehyung would leave his side, it’s like he wanted the younger one to stay by his side forever. If it was in his control, he would never let him go away from him even for a second.
He didn’t know when he got so close to the red haired guy, but one thing was sure, he didn’t mind it. In fact, he loved to be with Taehyung.
Jimin smiles as he gets the same reply from the younger one.
Jimin
Good morning!!
Tae cutie 💞
Good morning to you
too, hyung. 😊
Fresh up quickly and
have your breakfast 🙂, will
see you soon~
He chuckled. If he skipped any of his meal, you would find him inside a coffin and Taehyung digging in deep to bury him inside. The red haired had scolded most of the times when Jimin wouldn’t eat his food. Well, you can say that when it comes to health, Jimin is scared of Taehyung.
He quickly climbed off of his bed, leaving the bed undone and sauntered towards the bathroom with a towel on his shoulder.

“Fix a meeting with Mrs. Go and I also want to meet our accountants.” Grandma Park said, as she ate her breakfast. Mr. Kim nodded at her and walked out of the dining area for a while.
Grandma grabbed her glass of orange juice and took a sip before she remembered about her only grandson, who hadn’t yet arrived for breakfast. She sighed while muttering, “I always have to shout at this kid in this old age, since when did he become so undisciplined?”
And as if on cue, Jimin sprinted downstairs with his grumbling stomach and kissed his grandma’s hair, “Morning, Granny.” His lovely tone grabbed her attention as she subtly glared at him.
“What’s the time now, Jiminie?” She asked with a slightly raised tone, pointing at the huge modern wall clock ahead of them.
Jimin looked at the time, it was quarter past 8. He mentally rolled his eyes, he was not so good at maintaining discipline within himself.
He would unintentionally break all the rules created by Grandma, i.e, arriving for breakfast, lunch and dinner on time like 8am, 1pm and 9pm respectively, coming back home before 11.15pm, must not eat 3 time meals without grandma unless there was a valid reason like she is on a business trip.
All these were nothing but nonsense to him, yet he had to abide by them as he didn’t want to go through her wrath.
“I’m just ten minutes late, I’m sorry. I will be on time from now on.” He promised as he gave her a wide pretty smile of his, she shook her head but nonetheless trusted his words as always.
“Where were you last night when I called you?” She inquired, looking at him suspiciously.
Jimin straight away replied, “I was in the library.” For which she gave him a raised eyebrow, what was he doing in the library at ten in the night? She thought.
He rolled his eyes, “With a friend, granny, we were just chilling there.” He said, grabbing the bread slices from the brown basket.
She stared at him for a while and hummed, she knew that his hyungs would sometimes meet him in the library but she wasn’t aware that the friend he was talking about was Taehyung and not his hyungs, “You better not stay out too late. Being in the library isn’t a big deal.” She warned him and earned a nod.
Jimin spread the peanut butter on his bread and took a large bite, his eyes scanned around looking for his grandma’s secretary. The man would always stick to her unless she asked him to excuse her.
“Where is uncle Kim? Did he forget you?” He joked smiling, Grandma shot a glare at him and he immediately surrendered, “Kidding, kidding.”
The old lady pointed outside the dining area as she responded, “Just a minute ago, he went outside.” Jimin hummed whilst she continued, “Pass me the jam.”
Jimin took the small bottle of strawberry jam and passed it onto her. She was about to open it but Jimin leaned in front and helped her with spreading it on her bread. She flashed a lovely smile at him as a thank you.
“Did you talk to Mia?” She asked as soon as he sat back and resumed his breakfast, he wanted to roll his eyes and throw up all that he had eaten at the mention of her name.
“No.” He muttered, indifferently.
Her forehead creased as she placed her bread down on the plate and questioned, “Why? She said that it’s been a week since you last talked to her!” Her voice laced with anger as she talked to him, she had intentionally asked about the girl as Mia gave her a visit and eventually had complained about his inactivity in communication with her.
Jimin wanted to stab Mia for complaining about him, this was one of those million reasons why he didn’t like her in the first place. He cleared his throat and tried to cool down his anger before answering in an as sweet tone as possible, “Granny, I was busy.”
Granny stared at him blankly which made him go nervous but still he lied confidently to his best, “Addition to that, I had a bad headache and you know about my behavior whenever I’m sick. I talk dry! And that will ruin her mood, so I didn’t keep in touch with her.”
She emptied her orange juice and firmly placed it on the table while she scoffed, her cold eyes met Jimin’s making a shiver go down his spine. She wiped her mouth with the napkin and asked, “So, you were totally fine when you were ‘chilling’ with your friends?” Accentuating Jimin’s recent statements with a bitchy expression decorating her face.
He gulped, how come he forgot that this old lady was actually smarter than him. He wanted to respond to her but his tongue got locked with many locks and he didn’t know which key would open them up. Jimin looked at the way she was staring longingly at him, as if trying to read his mind which was finding some lies to save him.
But as today destiny was on his side, her phone rang loudly making her jump a little in her seat. She lifted her phone to check the caller ID as though it was important, she gazed up at her grandson and muttered, “I will get back to you on this, now excuse me.” She got up and walked out of the room with her phone.
Jimin sighed in relief and murmured within himself, “I hope you receive long important calls whenever you remember this matter.”
⸙ - ⸙
The bright orange sun receded into the sea, the waves were crawling steadily towards the shores. People let the salty water hit their feet and retreat, the kids played with the water, splashing on each other and crying when the water would get into their eyes making it sting.
The sky gradually changed itself into a mixture of orange and pink color, making it appear silky, smooth and romantic. Jimin stood on the grained sand, as he took in the beauty of the end of the day and sniffed the briny smell of the beach.
The seven friends had decided to do a BBQ by the beach in the afternoon. Once they were done, they played in the water, sand and captured many photos. When the dusk fell, Namjoon and Jin planned to take a walk while Taehyung went a bit far from them and sat alone to enjoy the view of the sunset, leaving the rest of them to spend time together before they decided to have some ice cream.
The trio had asked Jimin if he would like to join them, but he refused as soon as he saw Taehyung sitting alone on the sand as he stared at the beautiful sunset whilst he listened to the waves. He watched him from a distance, the younger one looked so calm.
The orange-pink light emitting from the sun reflected on his face making him look prettier than usual, Jimin could see a small smile on his face as he approached him leisurely with his hands inside his pants pocket.
He guessed that Taehyung had not realized his presence beside him, he seemed so indulged in something. Was it the beauty of the sunset? Or was it the anger of the shores? Or maybe he was thinking about something Jimin couldn’t make out.
He quietly sat down on the sand right beside the younger and waited for him to see him as he stared at his perfect side face, Taehyung’s long eyelashes and his sharp jawline would never fail to impress him. He badly wanted to feel the silky skin with his gentle and lovely touch and before he even knew it, his right hand had already reached the cheeks of the red haired boy, caressing it tenderly.
Taehyung got startled at the sudden touch, he was shocked to see the older man sitting by him, he had no idea when Jimin had come. But nonetheless, he loved the raven’s presence.
“When did you come? And where are others?” He asked, as he looked behind them to search for the hyungs and Jungkook but there was no sign of them.
Jimin flashed a smile at him and replied, “I just came here. They went to have ice cream.”
“You didn’t go?” Taehyung immediately asked, somewhere he wanted the answer to be related to him. He was very much aware of the consequences to be faced when we set high expectations from a person. But little did he know that his expectations were going to be true.
“I wanted to sit here,” Jimin said, moons and stars began filling the younger’s eyes, “with you.” As soon as these words escaped Jimin’s mouth, Taehyung was on the verge of fainting.
His heart thumped rapidly whilst his cheeks burned red, he didn’t want to turn his eyes away from Jimin’s adorable ones, but he had to otherwise he would be dead because of bashfulness. His attention diverted back to the beautiful view of the beach, he calmed his mind and tried to be normal.
Jimin chuckled lightly as he copied the younger’s action, but he stole glances every now and then furtively.
“Isn’t the view pretty?” Jimin turned his gaze back to the younger one at his question, he wanted to say yes but that wouldn’t be a hundred percent truth for right now, Taehyung looked more beautiful to him and he didn’t want to look at anything or anyone else other than him.
‘Ever since my eyes fell on you, nothing seems prettier than you, your beauty surpasses everything.’
He thought and gave him a nod as he uttered, “Yeah.” He sighed and asked, “Why were you sitting here alone?” His tone screamed curiosity.
Taehyung’s eyes were focused on the view in front of him, he smiled as he answered, “Beach and this sunset, it’s very special to me.” Jimin found love and longing in that smile, he kind of guessed what the younger would say if he asked him why it was special and he was right.
“My dad loved watching sunsets on the beach, he would often talk to them as he considered them as his mother and the shores as his father.” Taehyung said, not bothering to wait for the older to ask him about it.
Jimin’s eyebrows raised, it was new information to him, “I know that Uncle loved sunsets, but I didn’t know that he would talk to them.” He said, chuckling and Taehyung joined him.
They sat there silently for a while, admiring the beauty this evening had brought for them. Jimin wished to come here everyday with Taehyung and enjoy this beautiful scenery with him.
Jimin’s thoughts were interrupted when Taehyung spoke, “You know, Hyung. Whenever I sit before a beach at this hour thinking about my parents, my mind, my whole body relaxes. It’s as if some burden has been taken off of my shoulders, I’m tension-free, I have nothing to cry or be worried about. I feel optimistic here!” He cried with a wide smile painted on his lips.
Jimin wondered where this smile had been all this time? He had never seen this kind of smile. This was different, different than that smile which appears when the red haired was with him. Nevertheless, he smiled back.
“So, if you are ever sad, you will come here?” He queried, scooting closer to him making him a little shy.
Taehyung nodded and smiled shyly as he watched the older man staring at him with such lovely eyes and then asked, “Hyung, Don’t you feel anything like that?” Jimin cocked an eyebrow at him, not understanding what exactly he was talking about.
Taehyung sighed and turned to sit facing him, “Don’t you feel happy and relaxed when you think about Uncle and Aunt?” He said.
Jimin’s lips parted while he blinked profusely, he didn’t know the answer to it or maybe he knew. He looked away from Taehyung and stared deep into the now half sunk sun, just a few moments and it would disappear. The sky began turning dark just like his heart at the mention of his parents. His bright face turned grim as he got the little flashbacks.
“Jimin-ah!” He imagined her running towards him, her midi floral dress flaunting beautifully. She looked pretty. Her blissful laughter rang through his ears making him shut his eyes tightly.
Another image came into his vision, she adoringly patted his hair as she smiled at him and said,
“Take care, okay? Come home soon, mumma will be waiting for you.”
He clenched his palms and jaw, his blood boiled as more and more memories of her smiling face flooded into his mind.
Taehyung’s eyebrows furrowed as he noticed a change in Jimin, the way his beauty turned into a scowl, his eyes shut tightly just like his palms, his breathing got heavier making him concerned.
“Jiminie hyung?” He called in a gentle tone, placing his left hand on the older’s shoulder carefully. Just then he saw the tears streaming down from the corner of Jimin’s eyes.
“I didn’t know my son was a quick learner! You are driving very well!”
Suddenly he saw the memory of his dad teaching him to drive, tears had escaped his eyes as the proud and lovely expression on his dad’s face caught his eyes. He looked so happy.
“Dad is proud of you!”
As soon as he heard this sentence again, his red eyes shot open. Taehyung flinched and quickly started to rub his back to try calming his heavy breaths. He observed how the older kept staring far into the distance as his eyes ran side to side, he seemed tense.
Taehyung couldn’t help himself but to pull him into a warm hug, that’s when Jimin came back to reality. He looked around and realized that he was on the beach with his friends and was talking to Taehyung.
“It’s okay..” He heard the younger mumble into his ears as he threaded his long slender fingers in his black hair and stroked them. “I’m here with you, right?” Just his mellifluous voice was more than enough for Jimin to relax and forget everything that happened a few moments ago.
He hugged the younger back tightly and snuggled his nose into the crook of the other’s neck and listened to him chanting, “Everything is okay.”
“I’m always here for you and I always want to see you happy.” Taehyung murmured, kissing the raven’s hair bringing a smile on Jimin’s face. His bright face came back to life while his dark heart began melting down into a beautiful and pure one.
He closed his eyes and thought, ‘I feel happy when I’m thinking about you, I feel at ease when you are in my arms. I’m tension-free, I have nothing to cry or be worried about. Yes, yes, you make me alive.’
Jimin didn’t make out his feelings for Taehyung, was it just friendship or something more? But he didn’t want that although, maybe it was love. However, one thing was for sure, Taehyung was very important to him. He didn’t even want to think about losing this precious being.
Yoongi, who was walking back to the beach with two ice cream bars in his hands, halted on his steps at the scene in front of him. He noticed the way Jimin was smiling wholeheartedly, it warmed his heart and he couldn’t help but smile as well before he slowly took his steps backwards as he let them make their bond stronger.
