Warning: a little long chapter :')

I was listening to Jimin's with you while writing the hug scene. ๐Ÿ’•

Author's pov:

The little chubby fingers grabbed the green crayon and filled the outlined grass and leaves of the tree with a melodious tune emitting from his mouth as his glistening eyes focused on finishing his drawing. He was situated on the black wooden rocking chair in the porch of his house, it was evening and since he was a bit bored he wanted to finalize the work he had left incomplete yesternight.

"Chim?" A woman in her pink long tee beneath aย  white cardigan called in her sweet tone as she approached him.

The seven year old Jimin looked up from his drawing and flashed a broad smile at her as she stood behind him placing her hand on his shoulder, "What are you doing, honey?"

At her question, little Jimin displayed his drawing to her with sparkling eyes anticipating compliments from her. Her eyes dilated in awe as she took the drawing book from his hand and examined it. It was a drawing of a little boy sitting by the lake watching the moon shine in the pitch dark sky.

"Is it better than the previous one?" He asked in his cute tiny voice that contained eagerness, the corner of her round brown eyes crinkled as her pinkish thin lips curled up into a smile.

Jimin had been practicing the same drawing for two weeks, his skills were improving day by day. This drawing had flaws but not as much as it had in the past weeks, she was proud of how hardworking her little baby was as a kid.

"It's beautiful. But it still needs improvement. How about you draw again tomorrow?" She advised, a pout formed on his lips but he nodded at her.

"Can I join the conversation?" Another lady sporting a casual purple midi dress and white flats entered the porch with her black wavy hair flowing down to her chest, her eyes were similar to Jimin's. Her pink cheeks puffed out as she smiled while heading towards them.

"Mumma!" Jimin exclaimed as he climbed off of the chair carefully and ran towards her to show his drawing, Mrs. Park giggled as she kneeled down in front of him and embraced his tiny waist.

She gasped softly as she looked at his drawing, "My my! Look at how you are improving day by day!" She praised, chuckling.

But Jimin pouted, "Aunt Misoo said that I still need to improve."

Mrs. Park looked up at her friend who shook her head as she chuckled and went closer to them, "Hm, she is right." His mom agreed as she pointed at the boy and the trees he grew, "Here, it needs improvement. Right Misoo?"

Mrs. Kim nodded at her in agreement, "And I shall teach you how to draw them again later, okay?" She uttered as she bent down and ruffled his hair after receiving an affirmative nod from him.

"Great! Now, let's go and have some snacks and tea, shall we?" Mrs. Park asked as she stood up and entwined her fingers with her son's.

"I will go and wake up Yumin." Mrs. Kim said and walked into the Park's house, it was like this every weekend. The Kims would visit the Park house in the evening and spend time together, Yumin loved playing with Jimin as they had not much of an age difference.

Jimin blinked, coming out of his past memories, he gulped as he stared at the lady in front of him; she looked exactly like his Aunt Misoo.

"Yes, how may I help you?" Her voice startled him, making him gulp again and try forming words as he suddenly forgot why he was here in the first place.

"I.." he trailed off but as the image of his cutie Taehyung popped up he spoke again, "I'm.. Taehyung's friend.."

"Oh..what's your name?" She asked after letting him in completely, now that he stood a bit closer to her he couldn't help but convince himself that it must be his aunty. His favorite aunty.

"Park Ji-" He was about to introduce himself but was cut off as her phone rang, she fished out her phone from the side pocket of her dress and answered the call.

"Ah Yumin!" She exclaimed, now Jimin was surprised.

'Yumin..Aunt Misoo..'

It made sense, The Yumin he used to play with back then and this was his aunty. Tears blurred his vision as he averted his gaze towards his aunty, it was her. His aunty who taught him to put his thoughts into the drawing whenever he was unable to express them verbally, yes it was her. Kim Misoo.

She finally hung up and sighed, "Why do bosses make their employees work too much?'' she mumbled and looked at the guy.

"Oh, are you by chance the friend who ditched my Taetae today?" She asked, pretending to be angry.

'Taetae..'

That name brought a smile on his face, he was meeting them again. After so many years.

Jimin looked up startling Mrs. Kim with tears flowing down from his eyes, he smiled at her horrified face.

"What..I..hey! I didn't mean to-"

Jimin interrupted her, "Do you not remember me, Aunt Misoo?" He asked and gave her his signature smile.

And that bright smile sent shivers down her spine as it reminded her of her late friend, Park Jina. That eye smile, it resembled her.

"W-Who...are you?" She managed to ask as her eyes brimmed, Jimin giggled.

"Park Jimin." He introduced himself again and this time no one cut him off, "Your chim." He emphasized the nickname, making the tears she controlled to finally escape from her eyes.

A soft gasp left her mouth and she slowly raised her hand to cup his cheeks, her eyes shut at the feeling of the soft cheeks under her palm. Those were the same cheeks she used to kiss and squish long ago.

"M-My chim." She choked on a son as he pulled her into a hug and let her caress his back and hair, this was what he was yearning for. Mrs. Kim was like a second mother to him, she always used to take care of him whenever he didn't want to attend the boring adult parties with his parents.

She pulled away and peppered his face with kisses filled with love and care, "I missed you." She sobbed on his chest, he soothed her back and mumbled the same back to her.

"I'm so sorry for not being there with you when you needed me the most, I'm sorry for leaving you." She cried with her inner eyebrows angled up together, she was referring to the death of his parents and Jimin immediately shook his head making her look up at him.

"No, aunty. It's okay, I'm okay. Everything is alright." He assured as hot tears streamed down his face, "What was bound to happen... happened." He muttered to her, more like convinced himself but he knew he can never get over it.

"Please, don't cry?" Mrs. Kim smiled up at him a little and hugged him again. Jimin felt content after so long, a lost piece of his heart was found. He needed many reasons to live and now he had one. He felt so worthless without his family, but now he could finally breathe a little bit of peaceful air.

"I promise, I will be by your side from now on." Mrs. Kim pledged as she squeezed his hand in hers, Jimin broke into a fits of giggles and hummed at her with twinkling eyes.

She smiled, her lips turning into the shape of a box. Jimin, who had forgotten about why exactly he was here, suddenly remembered about Taehyung, thanks to her smile.

He panicked, "Shit! Shit! Shit!"

His shocked expression concerned her, "What happened, Jimin-ah?" She quizzed, her voice laced with worry.

"Taehyung! Aunty, do you know where he is?" He asked her frantically, she blinked for a while and then realized that her son was upset as his dear friend didn't show up and so had gone to the park.

"Uh..he must be in the park nearby." She replied unconfidently, he thanked her and gave her a quick hug before sprinting out of the house. Mrs. Kim's mouth hung open as she wondered why he was so panicked.

"Hey dummy!" The little sweet mocking voice made the five year old boy sigh heavily as he watched his favorite cartoon on the television, it was the weekend and after two weeks Jimin was back to Kim's house as his parents went to a business party.

"I'm not a dummy." Taehyung grumbled as he glared at the older boy who was three years older and sat beside him on the sofa to watch the cartoons with him.

Jimin laughed, "You are."

Taehyung's eyebrows creased and aย  frown formed on his lips, "Don't call me a dummy!" He slightly yelled.

Jimin snorted, "What if I do?"

"I will complain to my mom." The younger boy warned only to receive a chuckle in return which made him frown more.

"You are a momma's boy."

Taehyung pouted as he held back his tears, "I-I'm not." He stammered and looked down at his small fingers playing with the hem of his sweater.

Jimin glanced at him and knew that the boy would soon cry but it didn't bother him as he loved to tease him, "You are. And you are a weak cub." He stated.

Taehyung finally averted his gaze towards Jimin, "I'm not." He retorted and this time his voice was a bit louder.

Jimin smirked and met his eyes, "You are." He emphasized each word and watched how Taehyung huffed and stomped out of the living room, he laughed and grabbed the remote to change the channel.

Droplets of tears hit his clothed thighs as he replayed the old memory in his mind while clutching the edge of the bench, his lips bitten by his teeth to suppress his cries and he could hear nothing at that moment except for Jimin's voice calling him dummy.

Well how did he know?

As he was going through Grandma Park's biography, he found a picture of her along with her son who was his Uncle Park. He was astonished as he stared at them, with quivering hands he searched for Park Seyoon and found many articles about his death due to medical reasons and many pictures of him with his wife and son. There was also a separate picture of Jimin alongside as it was related to what he had searched.

A gasp left his mouth as he looked at Jimin's current picture and the old one, this was the same Jimin who used to make fun of him everytime he got the chance. For Jimin, making fun of Taehyung was like a chance of a lifetime he would never want to miss.

"P-Park Jimin.." he mumbled as he stared at that picture and that's when his vision got blurry and hot tears ran down his face.

How come Taehyung couldn't recognize well? Even though Jimin had told him that he was the owner of the library and if he had asked him about Uncle Park on their way back home last night, maybe he would have known. Since he already knew that Uncle Park had passed away, he should have thought that maybe Jimin was his son taking over his job.

He held his head and gripped his red hair with his long slender fingers, trying to process everything. Jimin was his first enemy. As a kid, he never knew that he would hate someone so much as he did to Jimin. But could he stay friends with a boy who used to mock him and make him cry?

He wiped his tears off roughly with the back of his hand and wore his glasses again, he can't be friends with Jimin. At the moment, he didn't want to see him or talk to him. He didn't know if he could tell him that he is that Taehyung whom he used to call dummy, but he thanked Jimin internally for not showing up today, maybe he can use it as a reason to stay away from him.

He was so immersed in his planning that he was unaware that Jimin had approached him and was now sitting beside him, he was quiet.

The weather suddenly looked strange, the clouds gathered up turning into a gray color as it blocked the rays of sunlight a little, it looked like the sun was peeking at them from behind the clouds. There were two emotions lingering around the bench, one was happy that he found the boy he used to tease before but the other one was a bit annoyed to have found him after so long and the fact that it was a guy he admired a little now.

"Hey dummy." Jimin broke the thread of silence, his voice a bit more ecstatic than in those days.

Taehyung rolled his moistened eyes, "I'm not a dummy." He replied, in an annoying tone.

Jimin chuckled softly, "You are."

"Don't call me a dummy.." Taehyung's voice wavered as he looked down at his feet.

"What if I do?" Jimin was testing his patience, again.

Taehyung snorted as he thought how Jimin was really bringing back this conversation, "I will complain to my mom." He warned nevertheless.

"You are still a momma's boy." Jimin sneered, looking up at the sky.

"I'm not." The younger one retorted.

"You are. You are a weak cub, dummy." Jimin grinned and sighed.

"I'm not."

"You are."

Taehyung shut his eyes and whined, "I'm not.."

"You are."

And now Taehyung had had enough, he opened his eyes and huffed.

"I'm not!" He shouted a little as he whipped his head towards the older, his face had turned a little red due to the latter getting on his nerves.

A smile painted on Jimin's lips as he slowly cocked his head to meet the younger's eyes, "You are not." He replied ever so softly that Taehyung swore on his hamburger that his heart melted right then and there. His plan of staying away from this guy was on the verge of being destroyed by the planner itself.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and sat back on the bench as he heaved out a sigh, Jimin observed him. His soft red hair was disheveled, his lips were red due to him biting every now and then. His nose looked like a tomato and Jimin couldn't believe how cute and tiny he looked.

"How long have you known?" Taehyung's sudden question brought him back to reality.

He blinked and looked ahead at the fountain, "Just now. I went to your home to meet you but instead I met Aunt Misoo.." he trailed off and sighed, "how about you?"

Taehyung showed his phone, "I was going through your grandma's biography and stumbled upon a picture. It was you with your parents and grandma."

Jimin hummed and sat back as well, "How come you didn't recognize me, Tae? I mean, you have changed now. Your black hair is now red and you even wear glasses, you look different from those days." He said, pointing at his glasses and red hair.

Taehyung let out a small chuckle, "You were my first enemy, you know that right?" He asked and earned a laugh and a nod from the older.

"You can't expect me to remember someone who used to make me feel insecure about myself." Taehyung said, rolling his eyes.

Jimin nodded, he knew he was wrong. But they were kids and it was kind of okay as they weren't very mature as children, Jimin thought.

Silence took over the atmosphere as both of them pondered on what to say next. They didn't want to be awkward with each other, not at least after meeting again after a very long time, especially Jimin didn't want that.

"I'm sorry." He muttered, biting his lower lips nervously.

Taehyung smiled a little as he gazed at him, "For what, hyung?"

"For not showing up today.." he mumbled while he fidgeted with his fingers, he was about to explain but Taehyung was quick to interrupt.

"It's okay, hyung. But at least you could have called and informed me if you were busy with something else, I wasted my time waiting for you." Taehyung scoffed after he uttered the last line.

Jimin face palmed himself, god if he hadn't escaped the party yesterday then maybe they would have been hanging out by now. Or no? If he didn't escape then they wouldn't have planned this evening last night.

"Taehyung-ah, I wanted to inform you but grandma confiscated my phone in the afternoon.." he mumbled, the red haired male spun his head towards him with his eyes popping out.

"But why?" His curious voice made Jimin roll his eyes, does he really have to narrate the story? Oh god, he didn't want to take that woman's name. But nonetheless, he told what happened from the beginning and how he managed to be back as early as possible.

Taehyung gasped initially but then bursted out into laughter, it was sort of funny how Jimin had to take her out for a meal as a compensation. Jimin on the other hand was glaring at him for laughing at his situation.

"Come on, stop laughing." He said huffing, Taehyung nodded and covered his mouth to avoid laughing and took steady breaths to calm himself down.

"I'm so sorry." Taehyung flashed him his cute boxy smile and Jimin wanted to do nothing but wrap him in a box and hide it in his pocket, because the guy was too precious for this world.

"Let's go home."

The duo were currently in Jimin's Tesla heading back to Kim's bungalow. But before walking out of the park, Jimin bought him a strawberry softie as he suddenly remembered how the younger wanted one so badly last night when they were texting, Taehyung blushed as he thought that Jimin remembered it.

The car ride wasn't awkward, rather it was embarrassing to Taehyung because Jimin had asked him why his face was red and puffy when he had arrived. Taehyung couldn't lie to him and told him that the sudden flashback of his past made him sad, Jimin laughed a little and even called him a dummy which made him die in embarrassment and also glare at the older.

The car stopped in front of the gate and Taehyung sighed in relief as he looked at his bungalow from inside, finally he could break free from the shyness.

"Thanks for the ride and ice cream, hyung." He smiled at him gratefully, who reciprocated.

"Don't mention it, and I'm sorry again Taehyung-ah." Jimin said but grinned as he continued, "But we will surely hang out next time, I promise."

Taehyung giggled and nodded at him before waving and hopping off of the car, Jimin's smile vanished as he remembered that he didn't apologize for the other main thing. He quickly climbed out of his car and called out to the younger man, making him stop abruptly near the gate.

"Yes hyun-"

Jimin cut him off by pulling him into a warm embrace, Taehyung's breath hitched as Jimin's body came into contact with his. Jimin smelt of lavender that made Taehyung close his eyes and sniff him in as he hugged back with his throbbing heart and rosy cheeks.

A soft sigh emitting out of his lips touched Jimin's shoulder as Jimin pulled him a little closer and ruffled his hair, "I'm sorry, Tae.." he whispered in a gentle voice.

Taehyung didn't want to know why as he just wanted to enjoy the moment but he had to ask him the reason, "Why hyung?" He mumbled with his eyes still shut.

"For making fun of you, I really didn't mean it okay? We were just immature kids back then and..and I'm sorry for making you cry.." He trailed off, his tone contained a bit of anxiousness.

"You can scold me or punish me however you want, I would gladly accept it." Jimin pouted a little, although he hoped that Taehyung didn't choose to punish him because what if the guy asked him to jump into the han river which is as cold as the Arctic ocean, okay maybe not as cold as it but somewhere near.

Taehyung's eyes shot open as he wondered for a while and a smirk formed on his lips. He giggled internally and pulled back a little to look up at him while their arms were still wrapped around each other, "Well, I won't punish you.." Jimin smiled broadly but it soon died down as he heard Taehyung utter the next words.

"But someone else will surely teach you a lesson."

Jimin cocked an eyebrow at him, "what do you mean, Taehyung?" But in return, he only received a giggle.

An evil giggle.
