Author's pov:

Taehyung blinked as he stood in front of the library which was locked. Why was it locked? Didn't Jimin arrive yet? He thought to himself as he fiddled with the lock with a cute pout on his lips.

"I should text him.." he mumbled to himself as he fished out his phone and opened their chat, his eyebrows creased as he found his messages not yet read by the older.

"What's the matter? Why did he not check my messages?" He said, and left another text asking him where he was and if everything was fine.

Taehyung plopped down on the wooden porch, "I should wait for him.." he sighed.

His eyes fell on the grass which were cut short now, the garden looked neat and beautiful unlike the first day he saw them. He assumed that Jimin must have appointed a mower. He also made a mental note to himself to suggest to Jimin to revamp the library as it really looked old.

Few minutes passed by but Jimin was nowhere to be seen, Taehyung sighed for the nth time as he kept checking his phone to see if Jimin read his messages but to no avail. Taehyung even called him twice but the latter didn't pick up, so he waited for another few minutes thinking that Jimin must be busy or maybe he was with his grandma.

Taehyung stood up and walked back and forth on the stone tiled path, his hands folded behind his back as he squished out his bread cheeks. He was getting bored, he kept glancing at his watch waiting for the elder.

A sweet little voice calling him made him flinch and turn around, a boy around twelve years smiled at him.

"Yeah?" He walked towards him, with a puzzled face.

"What are you doing here? Jiminie hyung hasn't opened the library today.." the boy said, looking at the library.

Taehyung raised his eyebrows, "You mean, it's closed since the morning?"

The boy nodded, "I came in the morning to return a book, but it was closed." He said. Taehyung frowned but thanked the boy for telling him and watched him depart.

Taehyung turned around and stared at the library. Why didn't Jimin open the library today? He dialed Jimin's number again and this time it was switched off, Taehyung's face turned dull. Was Jimin ignoring his calls?

"Why is Hyung doing this to me?" He murmured to himself biting his lips, there must be something wrong or else why wouldn't Jimin show up or answer his calls.

He was like a cat on hot bricks, what if Jimin was in trouble? His mind was occupied by unnecessary thoughts. Or maybe he was just really busy? Taehyung came to that conclusion but hoped that at least he should have told him if he cannot show up today.

Taehyung got all excited for nothing, with slumped shoulders he headed out of the place.

The Royal Emerald restaurant was filled with the chatter of the customers who were being catered by the servers dressed smartly in white and black uniforms. The five star restaurant had a high ceiling with sparse lights above the wooden tables with upholstered dining chairs throughout, the restaurant gave off an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

The sweet aroma of foods hit Jimin's nose arousing his appetite as he impatiently waited for Mia to arrive so that they could finish this drama. His foot restlessly hit the black marble floor, his dark brown orbs glancing at his Rolex watch every now and then. He looked at the people around him having fun with their partners, they looked very genuine unlike him who has to pretend to be lovely to a witch.

"Jimin!" A high pitched voice reached his ears freaking him out, he looked behind and found Mia walking towards him swaying her hips as she looked stunning in her black sleeveless bodycon dress paired with black platform heels.

Jimin raised up from his seat as she pulled the man dressed in black formals into a hug, he patted her shoulder with a small smile and helped her sit down.

"I hope I'm not late?" She muttered, placing her Chanel bag aside.

He shook his head and confidently lied, "Not at all, I came here two minutes ago." Of course not, he arrived 30 minutes ago and was on the verge of leaving the restaurant.

She giggled but it didn't affect Jimin, but if it was Taehyung's then his heart would have melted for sure. A low sigh left his mouth as he thought about Taehyung. That guy was very excited yesterday but now he must be upset, Jimin really wanted to kill each and every being on earth.

Jimin's attention traveled to her and thought of complimenting her, "You look very beautiful, Mia." He said, faking a sweet voice.

She blushed and cupped her own cheeks, "Thank you, Jimin!"

'She didn't even compliment me back, amazing.'

Jimin showed her a fake smile and licked his lips, now what was he supposed to do? Oh yes, apologize!

He cleared his throat as he took her hand in his gently and she eagerly watched him cluelessly, "Mia, I'm really sorry for leaving the party in Midway." She pouted at him, "I didn't want to, I swear. But my friend got into a mild accident and he was taken to the hospital. I had to check on him.." he said, in a sad tone.

She rested her head on the other palm and asked, "How did he get into an accident?"

Jimin blinked, he didn't know she would ask him that. Damn, if he knew he would have made up a story for that too.

"Uh..he was riding and.." Jimin licked his lips brainstorming some lies, "and he, his focus fell on his ex. She was in...uh truck and his car bumped into a motorbike. And yeah! Accident happened." He finished with an awkward chuckle.

She nodded and retreated her hand from his, "I see. It's okay, Jimin! I accept your apology." She uttered with a bright smile on her face. Jimin was surprised and let out a hearty laugh as he nodded at her.

'Oh god, how can someone be this dumb?'

He was mentally laughing at her dumbness. He cleared his throat again and asked her, "Shall we order something? What do you want to eat, beautiful lady?" He was being extra sweet with her so that she gets satisfied with him and they can leave and he can go and meet Taehyung.

"Uhm..how about we try Italian cuisine?" She suggested it and Jimin ordered it very quickly.

"So, how did your birthday go?" Jimin questioned as he didn't know what to talk about.

She giggled again covering her mouth, "It was hella lit! You know everyone in the party was talking about my beauty, and I was like "okay, peeps I was born beautiful unlike you. And Jimin, there was media too! They were all so crazy to click my photos.." she blabbered, and Jimin really regretted asking her.

He clenched his fist under the table, how can someone be this annoying? Why was he even here? Okay, don't get him wrong. He didn't want to be here in the first place, hell he didn't even know he would be here. Everything happened earlier in the afternoon.

He woke up late today and went downstairs to have his brunch. Grandma was already present in the living room watching the news along with waiting for her grandson. Jimin became sweaty as soon as he saw her and Uncle Kim who was coming back to the living room from the kitchen.

He gulped, dang! Now he had to face the devil. He shut his eyes and tried to breathe normally. He opened his eyes and approached her trying to act normal but he actually looked like a baby taking its baby steps with wobbly legs.

Uncle Kim upon noticing him gulped, he knew what was going to happen and he actually felt bad for Jimin. Grandma craned her head to her left as she heard faint steps approaching her.

"Oh Jimin!" She exclaimed with a sarcastic smile playing on her lips.

Jimin tried to smile naturally but it came out forced, "Good morning, granny!" He greeted her with a bow.

She snorted, "You left the party without informing me? May I know the reason?" She asked in a dead cold tone.

Jimin started sweating again, "G-Granny..my friend got into an accident so I went to check on him. And it turned out that it was nothing s-severe." He answered while fidgeting with his fingers.

She arched an eyebrow at him, she already knew it as Mr. Kim had told her the same reason last night. To confirm it she even called Kai who played along with the lie Jimin had created, it was common for Kai now.

She hummed, "How is he now?"

"He is fine." He replied shortly and bit his lips, "I'm sorry, grandma-"

"No!" She yelled, making them flinch, "Apologize to Mia." She said, her voice wasn't sweet at all which sent shivers down his spine. He had a bad feeling about today.

Jimin chuckled nervously, "I will text her-"

Grandma interrupted him, "Park Jimin, make it up to her by taking her out for a nice meal." She ordered looking away from him.

Jimin froze on his spot processing all the words she just now uttered, his gaze shifted to Uncle Kim who smiled at him in pity.

"W-What-"

"Today, in the evening. I don't want to hear any excuses from you, Jimin." She said and averted her gaze back on him, "You know what happens when you disobey me, don't you?" This last line made him shiver in fright, there was no way he was going to face the consequences.

His shoulders slumped as he hummed at her, maybe he should just text Taehyung and tell him that they should hang out next time. But what she said next shattered his heart.

"And give your phone to me, I'm not letting you take it today." She said, extending her hand towards him.

Jimin stared at her in disbelief, he then looked at Uncle Kim who looked as helpless as him and refused to meet his eyes. Heaving out a disappointed sigh, he fished out his phone and placed it on her palm with a heavy heart.

"And it's afternoon, Jimin. I expect you to wake up on time from now on." Her voice was containing nothing but firmness in it.

And that's how he ended up in this restaurant with the one and only witch, because of this woman in front of him he couldn't hang out with Taehyung. Damn, his day was ruined by them. He was so frustrated, he was sure that Taehyung must be pissed off at him for ditching him at the last moment without any prior notice.

'I'm sorry, Taehyung-ah..'

Taehyung plunked down on the bench with a sigh emitting from his lips, he had met his mom on his way back from the library. She asked him to come home as Jimin didn't show up but he wanted to throw away all his sadness and the only place where he could do that was at a park.

He observed the teenage girls running around the fountain which was situated in the center, kids using the slides and swings filling the whole park with their pleasant giggles. Some parents sitting on other benches watching their babies with a cheerful smile while some students or couples just sat and gossiped or strolled around.

And here he was sitting alone, he scoffed at himself for even imagining a very cute hangout with Jimin. They have ice cream, visit a park or other nice places in Seoul and at the end of the day, they go to Banpo Bridge to enjoy the rainbow fountain.

Taehyung sighed, he was an expert when it came to creating scenarios in his head. He removed his glasses and placed beside him on the bench as he rubbed his face in embarrassment.

"Damn, I shouldn't have been that thrilled about today with him. Agh!" He slightly screamed into his palms. He stayed still for a minute but many thoughts were racing in his mind. Jimin seemed fine last night so there was no way he might be angry with him or ignoring him, maybe he really was caught up with something important and had no time to inform him.

Taehyung came to a good conclusion which even soothed him down a little, smiling a little to himself as he looked up at the sky. It was a bright day, the clouds weren't kissing the sun like yesterday. Did they argue with each other? But the sun looked very bright, if they had a dispute between them it wouldn't shine. Maybe they weren't in the mood to kiss, he thought and laughed at himself. His childish side will never fade away.

"Noona! Eomma is looking for you!" A little boy shouted at his sister who was in her school uniform, her bag slung in her arms lazily as she walked towards him with long strides; she looked exhausted.

"Wujin-ah, hold my bag please. My arms are sore." She said in a pleading tone, the boy was obedient and immediately helped his sister. The cute small interaction between the siblings reminded him of Yumin, he chuckled as he had received a message from her earlier saying that she had apologized to Yoongi and they were kinda friends now.

His chuckle vanished slowly as he remembered her dreams, he wasn't sure why only she got those bad dreams about their Dad being killed by someone when in fact he lost his life due to a disease.

Taehyung wore his glasses back and fished out his phone and opened Googlee to look for an answer but instead he stumbled upon the trending news about Jimin's Grandma, Park Chaemin, the media which arrived to Mia's Birthday party last night had captured all the popular face's pictures and Grandma's was one among them.

She looked very beautiful in her green velvet gown, her black hair with gray strands in the front was tied up into a bun. The diamond necklace twinkled on her neck as she posed elegantly for the camera.

Taehyung's eyebrows met each other as he found the face a bit familiar; or should he say similar to someone. Completely forgetting about his sister, he looked up for Park Chaemin Biography.

"Thank you so much, Jimin! I had fun with you, wish I could stay longer." She whined with a smile, Jimin whined along with her as the two held hands. Gosh! What and all he had to do to make her happy just for his grandma's sake.

"It's fine, Mia. We can hang out next time, for now enjoy at your friend's bachelor party." He said in an enthusiastic tone, dang! He was so happy and wanted to give a bone crush hug to her friend who called her to remind her about the party or else he would be stuck here for God knows how long.

She pouted but nonetheless agreed with him, the two shared a hug and Jimin escorted her to her car and waved at her as she sat inside and the car disappeared from his sight.

Jimin jumped on his spot in joy, finally he was out of hell. He looked at his watch, it was just 6.30 in the evening and he still had some time to spend with Taehyung. Talking about him, he didn't know if the guy was still waiting for him in the library or not.

But with a lot of hope residing in him, he hopped into his blue Tesla and headed to his library.

"Ah, Kim Taehyung. Please don't be angry with me.." he murmured to himself as he controlled the steering wheel.

But he knew that the younger one would be pissed off, after all he didn't meet him. He sighed and gripped his hair in frustration as he kept cursing at himself.

When Jimin finally halted in front of the library, he peeked over and saw nobody around. The library looked gloomy even though the lights in the garden were on, it was the dull paint of the library which made it look abandoned.

He huffed, "I should really revamp it." He noted to himself and moved ahead and took a U-turn to go to Taehyung's house. If he wasn't in the library then obviously he might have gone home after waiting for him.

His house wasn't that far from the library, it was a fifteen to twenty minutes long drive. Jimin pulled up near Kim's bungalow and climbed off of his Tesla, he inhaled a long breath trying to calm himself and getting ready to be attacked by Taehyung's scoldings.

"It's nothing, Jimin. If he is angry, you can convince him." He assured himself with a puffed out chest but soon slumped, "But I'm still nervous." He whined lowly and made a beeline towards the entrance with sweaty palms.

With trembling fingers he rang the doorbell and composed himself, he shouldn't be this nervous. They are just friends, it's not like he ditched his dear boyfriend. Jimin huffed and his heart impatiently beat as he heard footsteps getting nearer to the door from the other side.

The door finally opened revealing Mrs. Kim tying up her brown hair into a messy bun as she looked like a cool mom in a casual black midi dress, Jimin's jaw dropped. No, not because she was beautiful. Or maybe yes! But mostly because she looked kind of familiar.

Her round brown eyes, long sharp nose and pinkish thin lips, those slender fingers and her smooth honey skin tone. Jimin opened his mouth but couldn't form words, there was only one thing which rang in his ears and that was:

"Chim!"
