Author's pov:

It was chilly weather, people rubbed their gloved palms together to keep themselves warm as they walked past him. Taehyung could see some people having a nice hot chocolate in the cafe with their loved ones, and some of them just sitting by the streets and looking at the black sky probably complaining to God about their poor state.

He was walking down alone with his hands shoved into his brown coat's pocket, the cold wind hit his body making him shiver and huff out a steam. Namjoon was drunk along with Jungkook and so Jin volunteered to drop them home, or else he would have company now. But it didn't bother him, as he loved sauntering all by himself under the gloomy wind and moonlight.

He observed a guy ahead of him tying a girl's shoe laces and pecking her lips once he was done before they resumed their walk, it reminded him of Jimin and the earlier incident.

'Taehyung's eyes grew wide as Jimin covered his mouth and shushed him as he leaned closer, his heart throbbed against his ribcage and feared that Jimin might hear it. But that one thing which calmed him down was Jimin's scent, he smelt of lavender. Taehyung loved it, he would love to stay in his arms forever just to be calmed by that pleasant smell.

"Just listen to me, okay? Don't speak." Jimin ordered him softly and earned a slow nod from the younger, "Make sure you don't tell anyone that we have met before, got it?"

Taehyung's eyebrows creased in confusion, he wanted to ask why but since Jimin had told him not to talk, he obeyed. Jimin upon understanding his facial expression elaborated, "Actually on our way to the restaurant, I told Jin hyung about the cute guy story--"

Taehyung almost screamed but Jimin pushed him back and covered his mouth tightly and placed his finger on his lips to tell him to be quiet, "Calm down, Taehyung! I didn't take your name, Don't worry." Jimin's soft soothing voice calmed him down and he sighed against the older man's palm and Jimin gulped and retracted his hand.

Taehyung slowly looked up at him, Jimin's heart began pounding loudly. Those innocent eyes behind the round glasses he liked staring at, his square thin lips which seemed untouched. And those fluffy smooth red hair covering his forehead, he wanted to ruffle them and kiss them. He looked so cute that Jimin wanted to wrap him up in a box and hide it in his pocket.

Taehyung grew redder as each second passed by with Jimin staring at him affectionately, he didn't want to look away but he also didn't want anyone stumbling into them in this state.

"U-uh..we s-should go! They m-must be w-waiting for u-us." He stammered and ran out without even glancing at Jimin, whose mouth was agape.'

Taehyung smacked his own forehead, annoyed at himself for running away, maybe if he stayed there Jimin would have pulled him into a kiss. How would it feel to taste those plump lips?

Taehyung's eyes dilated as he realized what he was thinking, he shouldn't be thinking like that. It was wrong, they don't even know much about each other. Jimin might be straight or who knows how he is!

Taehyung shook off his thoughts and resumed walking but he was right, maybe Jimin didn't want anyone to tease him with his name. But a familiar mellifluous voice called him from behind, making him halt and turn round.

There he was, Park Jimin, running towards him with his black hair dancing backwards revealing his forehead. Taehyung's mouth fell, everything around him paused. He felt like he was in a kdrama scene; with those imaginary hearts around Jimin, that lovely smile on his lips, his black coat flying back as he slowly ran towards him under the moonlight and cool breeze.

Everything was perfect, but there was one thing missing. What? Romantic music playing in the background.

Jimin reached him and bent down gripping his knees and breathing heavily, he clutched his stomach and chuckled looking at Taehyung who was still in his dream. Jimin frowned, "Taehyung?" He called, trying to bring him back to reality.

But Kim was so engrossed that instead of snapping out of his reverie he mumbled, "So handsome." It was loud enough for Jimin to hear, he blinked and smiled. He was aware of his affect on people, who would almost faint just by looking at his intimidating eyes.

Jimin giggled and shook him by the shoulders, Taehyung finally came back and looked at him perplexed.

"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, grinning.

Taehyung stared at him and instead of answering he asked, "What are you doing here?"

Jimin shrugged, "As you know, Joon hyung and kook are drunk so Jin hyung went to drop them. He offered me a drop too, but it would take him long. They live in the opposite direction, I didn't wanna bother him."

Taehyung slowly nodded and didn't ask anything further as they walked along on the cold windy street, he was getting red as he could feel Jimin's shoulder lightly bumping into his as they walked. It reminded him of the washroom incident. Dark pink slant lines on light pink blush was formed on his cheeks.

He smiled and quickly hid it trying to rub his nose, but he failed to hide those pink tints on his fair cheeks as Jimin who wanted to say something suddenly looked at him and raised his eyebrows.

Why did he have rosy cheeks? Jimin, out of concern, asked, "Taehyung, are you okay?

Taehyung looked at him with wide open eyes and nervously nodded, "I'm okay.." he mumbled and attempted to walk again but Jimin stopped him.

"Wait, your face is red. Are you having a fever or a cold?" He questioned, placing his hand on the younger's forehead checking if his body temperature was high or not, which made Taehyung redder and step back.

"Uh, I-I'm really f-fine. T-Trust me.." he stammered and walked past him quickly, Jimin turned around and stared at him confusedly and then it hit him. Was he blushing? He was of the same color back in the washroom and now the color got darker which brought a smirk on his face.

He chuckled, "So cute, Kim Taehyung." He muttered and caught up with him.

As they walked, Jimin didn't like this silence. It seemed awkward to him, he wanted to converse with the younger one to get to know him more albeit knowing that they weren't really far from home now.

"So you are a literature student, huh?" He began, Taehyung glanced at him and gave him a slow nod.

"You are younger than Namjoon hyung, I assume you haven't finished your studies yet?" Taehyung queried, a small smile plastered on the older's face. His studies, well he didn't want to study more as he already knew more than enough about everything. But he didn't want to say anything about this to Taehyung at this moment.

"Yeah, I just did not want to study." He said nonchalantly with steam coming out of his mouth and looked ahead. He expected him to ask why but it looked like Taehyung understood that he didn't want to talk about it just by his tone and facial expression.

So Taehyung changed the topic, "Korea isn't as cold as London." Rubbing his palms together and blowing on them to keep himself warm.

Jimin noticed it and removed his white scarf and stood in front of Taehyung surprising him, but to him even more surprising was Jimin wrapping his scarf around his neck and smiling at him. His heart pounded so loudly again that he feared that if Jimin heard it, it would be so embarrassing.

Jimin grinned as he found him flushing, "Do you usually blush with every other guy or is it only with me?"

His sudden question made the younger blurt out, "Nah, it's only with you--" he quickly cupped his mouth as he realised what he said, his big round eyes under his glasses made him look cuter. Jimin was pushing away the urge to pinch his cheeks.

He just chuckled and resumed his walk, Taehyung whined silently, stomping on his spot and smacking his forehead with a crying face. The people passing by him looked at him amusedly and some even giggled, which made him come back to reality and apologize to them before running back to Jimin.

"I'm sorry.." Taehyung maffled, fidgeting with his gloved fingers.

Jimin craned his neck to the side to look at him perplexed, "Hm?"

"I don't know why, but I feel so shy around you..and, and I even keep staring at you. But it can't be helped, I just have this ridiculous habit of staring and appreciating everything that's ethereal." He blabbered, Jimin laughed and patted his shoulders making him shut up.

"You are cute, you know." This made Taehyung bashful again, "Hey, you don't have to be shy around me. Be comfy, I won't eat you." Jimin said and earned a nod from him.

"What do you prefer? London or Korea?" Jimin curiously questioned, stuffing his hands inside his coat's pockets.

Taehyung hummed, contemplating only for a few seconds. London was where he actually grew up to an adult, the people around him, places and books everything made him forget his stress, London was like a stress reliever.

Whereas, Korea was different. It's where he was born, spent his childhood with his two friends and God knew where they were now. This country had a lot of memories to him, his dad, the library, that library uncle and many more.

"I prefer Korea. I spent the best time of my life here, can never prefer some other places over this." Taehyung proudly said and Jimin smiled broadly and nodded at him in pride, who wouldn't love their South Korea?

Thinking about his childhood, Taehyung suddenly remembered about the library Uncle. He badly wanted to know about him, but he didn't know his name and barely remembered his face.

"Jimin hyung.." he called softly, those two words hit him like a Cupid's arrow. So hard yet full of love.

"Yeah?"

Taehyung looked into his eyes and pondered what if Jimin ignored his question? What if it sounds like he was invading the older's privacy? It's better to not ask so fast, maybe he should wait and with that Taehyung shook off his thoughts and instead asked him if he wasn't cold.

Jimin chuckled again, "No, I'm not that cold. Are you? Do you want my coat?" He asked, which made the younger panic and refuse immediately. He didn't want Jimin to freeze.

They stood on the footpath waiting for the green light so that they could cross the road, Jimin looked to his left. That way lead to his mansion, he could have gone leaving Taehyung to go home alone but he didn't want to. He wanted to drop him to make sure he reached safely, or maybe it was just an excuse to hear his voice and look at his cute face for as much as possible.

Taehyung on the other hand, his eyes fell on the convenience store that was on his right. It was the same store where he found Jimin on that rainy night with Jungkook, his heart churned for a moment as the flashback of them being together slapped on his mind. Would it be wrong to ask him about them? He wasn't invading their privacy, he just wanted to know if they were together.

"Hyung, can I ask you something?" He started hesitantly, Jimin gave his attention to him and hummed.

"Uh..are you and Jungkook close?" He asked making sure it sounded casual, inside he was dying for the answer to be no. But his expectations always got crushed and it was a waste to expect anymore but still he had a hope.

Jimin nodded, there it got crushed again. Taehyung's face turned dull, his lips curled down. He should not have expected Jimin to be single just like Namjoon had told him, maybe they were dating and Namjoon lied to him because he wasn't that close with them.

The light turned green and Jimin entwined his hand with Taehyung's dragging him to the opposite side. Taehyung looked at their hands and smiled a little, "We are close friends." Jimin added as they crossed the road.

Taehyung looked up at him in bewilderment, "C-Close friends?"

"Yeah. Since I'm the closest to his age, he feels comfortable sharing things with me." Jimin explained and found Taehyung giggling awkwardly, oh god! Did he just over think about them? Taehyung was laughing at himself which Jimin found strange but he laughed along as he followed Jin's principal 'If you don't understand what they're laughing about, it's okay, just laugh along with them.'

A cheery wide smile formed on Taehyung's lips, his boxy smile on display. Jimin didn't know why he was suddenly so ebullient, but he was grateful to see the delighted smile on his face. One was absorbed in the younger's smile and the other was feeling so contented with what Jimin said that they forgot they were still holding hands.

Jimin wanted to hang out more with him, he would love to ask him if he was available tomorrow. It wasn't a date, just two friends casually hanging out? At least that's what Jimin thought.

They finally halted in front of Taehyung's bungalow, Jimin examined and found it cute. He wondered if just like him and his house, his parents were cute too? And also wanted to thank them for bringing such a cute creature on Earth.

"I will go in then?" Taehyung muttered, slowly retracting his hand. Jimin glanced down at his parting hand and felt a small pang on his chest, but he brushed it off.

"Yeah.." he mumbled and saw Taehyung going towards the gate, Jimin watched him until he realised that he had to ask him out.

"Taehyung! Wait!" He called approaching him, the guy turned around and stared at him with a puzzled face.

"Uh..are you free? Tomorrow? Have classes? Like in the evening? Free for a hangout? With me? Do you wanna?" Jimin panicked, he didn't have any idea how people asked each other out without freaking the shit out of themselves. Taehyung who didn't understand his mixed up immediate questions, just looked at him dumbfounded.

"Damn it, Jimin!" He cursed at himself and gathered up all his courage before asking, "Do you wanna hangout with me tomorrow?"

Taehyung's eyebrows raised, this was totally unexpected. Maybe he should not expect anything from him at all, then he might witness these kind of surprises in his life. But the idea of hanging out with Jimin excited those little Cubs in his stomach and he enthusiastically nodded with a full smile.

Jimin giggled ruffling his own hair, "Okay then, meet me near the library tomorrow? We can go from there." He suggested.

"Sure, I will be there at 6. Is that okay?" Jimin agreed with him, the two beamed and waved at each other before Jimin turned around and walked back in the path where they came from which confused the younger.

"Hyung! Where are you going?" He quizzed, standing near the gate. Jimin blinked and chuckled nervously, now he had to tell the truth.

"Well, my house is that way. I came along, just to make sure you reached home safely." He winked and saw the younger turning crimson.

He was glad to see that blush on his face before going back home, Taehyung bowed to him a little and thanked which Jimin waved it off and asked him to go in. Taehyung obeyed and waved at him before walking into his house.

Jimin smiled at the now closed door and departed, excited about tomorrow.

"What should I wear tomorrow?" He murmured to himself, scratching his cheek.
