Author's POV:
Show off.
All these decorations done for a birthday party was nothing genuine but only a show off of Mr. Andrews, he wanted nothing but to prove people that he was way more rich than them and was capable of doing anything and everything he wanted.
Jimin looked at the guests wearing yellow eye-catching dresses that shone under the three huge golden chandeliers that hung down the cream ceiling. Their high heels and shiny pointed shoes clicking on the light cream marbled floor as they roamed around the massive hall, his daughter's birthday party was held in none other than the well known 'Gabrielle Auditorium '.
At the right end of the room was a medium stage where many golden and white balloons were on the floor and a small table of white cloth draped on it was in the middle. He guessed it was for the birthday girl where she would cut the cake. On the opposite end was the buffet session and adjacent to it was a small bar, with all types of drinks.
Round tables with five to six chairs each dressed up in white and yellow clothes were in the middle of the hall, to the right of the stage were long naked windows that showed the beautiful mother moon with her stars enjoying their own party.
Jimin stood near one of the windows sporting a not too simple mustard yellow suit, with his black hair combed neatly to the back with only one strand hanging on his forehead. He sipped the champagne as he looked around at the people who wore different shades of yellow. Why? The dress code for the guests was yellow because well, Mia loved that color along with white.
He hated to be here, come on his grandmother forced him to attend this party and now how could he refuse her? And that old man, Mr. Kim, who promised to stay by his side the whole time was nowhere to be seen. The last time Jimin saw him was when they climbed out of the car when they reached here.
"Uncle! Aren't you coming?" Jimin asked, tensed. What will he do without him inside? He didn't even know anyone properly.
Uncle Kim stepped out and closed the door with his phone ringing in his pocket and smiled at him, "You go in with her, I will catch up to you soon." He said and walked away while answering the call, leaving Jimin whining behind.
"Yah, Why are you whining like a baby? Behave yourself, don't embarrass me. We have a good reputation here, Jimin-ah." Grandma scolded him as she glanced at him from head to toe.
Jimin rolled his eyes and sighed, "I'm sorry, let's go." He said and they walked along inside.
Now, Jimin didn't even know if Uncle Kim came after them or not. What if he ran away leaving him here? Jimin's mind was filled with so many thoughts that only made him restless. Grandma Park won't leave this party anytime soon now, she needs to stay until the end. And if she didn't go home, how could he go? He was literally cursing Mr. Kim until someone patted his shoulder making him jump.
"Hold on-" he almost yelled and heaved out a sigh of disappointment as he saw the birthday girl, Mia Andrews looking way too beautiful and shiny in her white gown.
Jimin rolled his eyes internally, 'here starts my headache.'
"Jimin!" She called in her high pitched tone, his ears ached.
"Hey, Happy Birthday..." He trailed off as he forgot her name but quickly covered it up with a sweet chuckle at the end.
She blushed, "Thank you, Jimin." She smiled widely and he reciprocated, there was an awkward silence at least that's what he felt like.
"Jimin, you rarely pick my calls or reply to me. Is everything okay?" She questioned whining, and placed her hand on his shoulder which made him flinch a little at her touch.
He nervously laughed and took a step back smoothly, "Yeah, I'm just busy nowadays." He lied, he often ignored her messages and only sometimes he would chat a little. Because what if she complained to his grandma? Jimin didn't want any risk.
"Why are you standing here?" She questioned, Jimin blinked his eyes and pointed outside.
"Fresh air. You know." Jimin was talking like a fool, Mia smiled at him and intertwined her hands with his.
"There's a balcony that way, let's go there." Mia said and was about to drag him but he stopped her. He knew that they would be alone on that balcony and this horny girl would definitely try to seduce him.
"It's fine, I'm good here." He awkwardly laughed and retreated his hand.
"But--"
"Mia!" A few girls came their way, Mia looked behind her and saw her friends. They embraced each other, while Jimin thanked all the girls internally for meddling in. He took this as a chance and escaped the trap.
He walked at a fast pace whilst his eyes roamed around looking for his uncle, oh god where was he?
"Jimin-ah!" He heard someone calling him, he turned around and looked at the direction of his voice and eventually found Mr. Kim waving at him near the bar. His eyes lit up as if he found gold after digging in for years, he rushed towards the old man.
"Uncle! Where were you?" He asked in an annoyed and hushed tone, the man giggled.
"I was observing you from here." He answered and received a blank look from the younger, Mr. Kim looked away and sipped his drink.
"Uncle!" He whined, "Please do something to get me out of this place. This is so irritating, I swear." He said in a dramatic way looking at all the guests and his grandma, who stood by the stage along with her fellow friends.
"I can do nothing, Jimin. Stay with me for the rest of the night, you will be fine." Uncle refused and placed his glass on the bar counter.
Jimin scoffed at his statement and uttered, "Mr. Kim, are you serious? I will die if I stay here anymore because this place is suffocating me. And that Lia, Ria, Dia whoever she is, is very annoying."
"It's Mia." Mr. Kim reminded and ignored his earlier statements as he got a call from his son, he excused himself and answered it.
"Yeah?" Jimin rolled his eyes, his outfit, this place, its decoration, its aroma, atmosphere, each and everything was stopping him from breathing peacefully.
"Tell your mom, I will be late. I'm attending a birthday party with Mrs. Park, okay?" Jimin heard Mr. Kim and at that time he concluded that it must be his son. His eyes lit up, yes he can save him from this place.
As soon as Mr. Kim hung up Jimin clung onto him and whispered, "Uncle Kim, call him again and tell him to pick me up please."
Mr. Kim stared at him and shook his head as he pushed him off, "No way."
But Jimin wasn't giving up, he got what he wanted. He clung onto him again and this time he threatened, "Those nutritional drinks...I guess, I must tell granny about it-"
Mr. Kim abruptly stood up and glared at him, whose back hit the counter luckily it didn't hurt him. "This is wrong, you are blackmailing me. Yah! I raised you, did you forget that?" He half shouted, Jimin grinned.
"How can I forget that uncle, but please let me go. Please? I promise, I will do whatever you say." Jimin pleaded, showing off his puppy eyes. Mr. Kim looked at him for a while and rolled his eyes, there was no way he could resist him. He grabbed his phone and called his son.
"Yah! Come to Gabrielle Auditorium and pick Jimin up." He ordered and hung up the call, Jimin jumped on him and hugged him tightly while saying a lot of thank yous. Mr. Kim patted his shoulder and chuckled.
"Now, be careful on your way out. Don't let Grandma see you." Jimin nodded at him and headed out, "Take care." He shouted and got a thumbs up from the younger one.
"Get ready to face her wrath, Kim Yejun." He babbled to himself with a sigh.

Jimin walked through the crowd while he excused himself but someone grabbed his wrist and pulled him back, the first person that came to his mind was his grandmother.
'Fuck. I'm dead.'
He hit his forehead and licked his lips, with a nervous little smile he turned around and saw Mia. His face fell, now what did she want from him?
"Jimin, where are you going?" She asked in a cute voice with a pout, tilting her head to the side.
Jimin chuckled awkwardly, now what should he say? He shook his head and laughed a little, "W-washroom! I want to use the washroom...yeah!" He exclaimed, catching her off guard.
"O-oh.." she muttered and looked at him in bewilderment.
"Okay, I will go." With that he hurried out, leaving her to call out for him from behind.
Mia scratched her head and looked at his retreating figure confusedly, "But the washroom is that way.." she murmured to herself now looking in the opposite direction.

Jimin rushed down the wide stairs and swiftly headed to the parking lot which was in the corner of the area. He looked for that white Benz which had 'Kim's' on the back of the car. He walked around looking like a lost puppy, until a car behind him honked at him.
He got startled and turned around, there it was. His lips curled up and he skipped his way towards the car and bent near the driver side open window, "Jin hyung!" He called enthusiastically.
Jin winked at him, "Hop in, kid. Let's go!" Jimin giggled and walked around the car and hopped into the passenger's seat and put on his seatbelt.
"Ah hyung, I'm able to breathe now." He remarked, making the older one burst out laughing. Jin pulled up from the parking lot and headed out of the area, and in a few moments, they were on the streets.
"Yah, whose birthday is it? And what's with this suit? You look like a chick." Jin teased him as he hit his own thigh while chortling.
Jimin removed the mustard yellow blazer and threw it to the backseat, "Mia's birthday and yellow is her favorite color so it was the dress code for the party." He replied whilst he undid the first two buttons of his white shirt.
"Ah, your future wife." Jin laughed again and earned a glare from the younger.
"Hyung, please. I'm not straight." He scolded but Jin's laughter and teasing were a never ending saga.
A few minutes later into Jimin talking about how awful the party was, Jin's phone chimed. Jimin grabbed out the phone from near the gear and checked the notification.
"Oh it's from your boyfriend." Jimin said and chuckled, Jin blushed at that and asked him what the message was.
"He says, we should go to Hoseok hyung's restaurant. There is someone he wants everyone to meet." He informed the older one.
"Hm. Must be that new friend he made in university." Jin said, clearing up half of Jimin's confusion.
Jimin chuckled, "Oh, I thought Namjoon hyung wanted us to meet his new interest from his University."
Jin slapped his arm and received a wince from him, "My baby will never cheat on me, mark my words."
"I know, I was just pulling your legs." Jimin whined, rubbing his arm.
The rest of the ride went with them bickering or teasing each other, but honestly, Jimin did not want to meet anyone new tonight. Tonight, he only wanted to be with his five friends, drinking, eating and chatting with them until he felt peace within him.
But little did he know that someone new was going to change the entire night for him.
