Note: I have changed the title + blurb of this book, as it seemed too boring and long. I hope the story isn't boring :')
Author's pov:
"Damn, I'm exhausted." Jimin cried as he flopped down on the soft white couch next to Kai, who was as tired as he was. Kim Kai, was his childhood best friend with whom he had a strong bond of love and trust, he was a friend Jimin could count on anytime.
Kai was a CEO of SYP Publishers, he was well known all over the country for running this business smartly. Jimin and Kai had just finished their hectic day which began early in the afternoon.
And currently, it was half past eleven at night and Jimin would be lying if he said he didn't want to stay the night here and just sleep till afternoon the next day. But he knew it would not be possible as there was a particular person who didn't let him stay anywhere unless the situation was bad.
"Do you want to eat something, Jim?" Kai asked, looking at the perfect side face with smoothly defined jawline of the younger.
"Nay." Jimin shook his head and sighed, "Instead, a glass of cool water would definitely please me."
Kai chuckled and headed to the kitchen to fill up a glass with cool water for his dear friend, as he came back he saw Jimin resting his head back on the couch and he looked like he would black out anytime now.
"Here." He offered the water and sat beside him while observing how Jimin slowly opened his eyes and lifted up his head before grabbing the glass and gulping down the water in a go, seeming like he was very much thirsty.
"Jimin-ah, you should stay the night here. You can go back early in the morning, Grandma won't know about it." Kai said as he took the glass from him and placed it on the mini table in front of them.
Jimin denied, no matter how early he goes back after staying the night. His Grandmother, always knew about his absence. And the usual thousands of questions will be poured at him to which half of the answers will be lies from him.
He would often feel guilty for lying to his lovely grandma but he didn't have any option either as he didn't like to be punished.
"It's late, I better go home now." Jimin stood up and stretched out his limbs, "Hyung, let my car be here. I will ask my driver to get it back tomorrow morning." He informed and made a beeline towards the main door.
Kai's eyebrows creased at his statement and he stood up and trailed behind him with confusion, "Then, how are you gonna get back home?" He asked.
Jimin didn't halt but he just opened the door and stepped out while saying, "By walking. I need some fresh air before I drift off into a beautiful sleep."
Kai scoffed and rolled his eyes, "Seriously, Jimin?" But he got no answer as Jimin just waved at him and closed the gate before disappearing into the streets. Kai sighed and hoped that his friend would get back home safely.

"Keep the change." Jimin uttered as he paid for the cold drink in the convenience store, the girl behind the counter thanked and smiled at him to which he didn't pay attention to and just walked out.
He sighed as the fresh night air hit his nostrils, he looked up at the sky and found the moon peeking through the clouds; the tiny stars which would twinkle most of the nights weren't much visible today.
Jimin opened the can and sipped the drink a little before making his way to his mansion; The Serenity Estate. Sounds lavish, doesn't it? Well, he belonged to a rich, well respected family.
His father, Late Park Seyoon, was a librarian and also helped Grandma Park in her business while he wrote stories and never published them. Jimin's mother, Late Park Jina was a housewife who left him when he was just thirteen.
They both left him quite early, especially his mom. But his grandma, Park Chaemin, who is currently a known business woman, always took great care of him. He didn't actually live alone in the mansion with his grandmother, but the maids and guards lived there too.
Grandma Park was afraid of Jimin going out alone and staying at the mansion and so she hired a few guards for him whenever he goes out, But Jimin found it very irritating. He convinced grandmother to ask the guards to not come with him to the library or whenever he meets his closest friends, and she agreed.
Talking about closest friends, he not only had Kim Kai with him, but also had five other friends with whom he had many years of memories since his high school. Kim Seokjin was the eldest of them all and was four years older than him followed by Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Kim Namjoon and him, the youngest was Jeon Jungkook.
Namjoon was a year older than him, but Jimin dropped out from university last year as he had already obtained all the knowledge from the people surrounding him, especially his grandma and Kai.
He found it useless, spending money on University when he knew almost everything and had these two walking brains in his life.
As Jimin sipped the drink, his eyes spotted a person with red hair. He stopped in his tracks and stared at the guy who was standing near the bus stop, talking to someone on the phone.
The cold wind blew past the guy brushing off his red hair to the back, revealing his face. Jimin scoffed, he really thought that it was the guy from the library who had come to get a book.
"Seriously." Jimin muttered and walked away, thinking of the red haired guy and suddenly he realized that he had asked his number and saved it from the information he had filled in.
"Oh fuck-" Jimin cursed out aloud, but thankfully there weren't many people on the street. He quickly fished out his phone from his blue coat's pocket and unlocked it.
He scrolled through all the contacts and found the contact, which he named 'Taehyung cutie'. He sighed and was about to tap the call button but halted.
'Should I call him?'
Jimin asked himself and hesitated. He wasn't completely a bad guy, he knew what was right and wrong for him and that's only in ninety percent of the cases, the remaining ten percent, his close people handled it.
By the look of Taehyung in the library that day, he seemed too innocent for his age. He looked like a person, who would do anything to bring a smile on someone's face and who would never break a heart into two.
Jimin was a sucker for sex, he loved ruining innocent people around him but he didn't have the guts to ruin Taehyung. He just couldn't, he knew if he called him now or somehow keeps in touch with him then definitely the younger one will be ruined.
Honestly, Jimin didn't care about these things, but this new guy was something else. He attracted Jimin a lot, the day he saw Taehyung in the library was unforgettable.
He still remember how stared at those slender fingers with fancy rings played with his silky smooth red hair as he read his novel, the way he pouted with his pinkish lips and Jimin noticed that mole on his nose, he gulped as he got the immediate urge to kiss it. Taehyung's brown eyes reminded him of that curious little baby that would look everywhere when taken out.
Jimin couldn't believe his eyes, he checked if he was dead by pinching himself and asking a nearby sitting boy if he could really see him or not, because there was no way if he was alive he would get the chance to see an angel right in front of his eyes.
Taehyung was tempting and a definition of fluff ball, Jimin would be a sinner if he ruined such an angel.
Thinking that way, Jimin tossed his phone inside the coat and headed back to his mansion. It would be better if he keeps Taehyung out of his fucking sick life.
A few minutes later after having a heavy walk, he finally reached the mansion. The guard was up, he bowed to Jimin and opened the black huge gate for him.
Jimin nodded and walked ahead and saw the mansion lit through a dim light, he knew that it was one of their servants waiting for him. He couldn't turn on all the bright lights as Grandma was sleeping and she needed the whole house dark while sleeping.
The door was wide open for Master Jimin, as he stepped in and shook his head at the servant who asked him in a whisper if he needed food.
"I already ate uncle, you can sleep." Jimin whispered back with a smile and trudged upstairs with many sighs.
✦
The beams of sunlight seeped into Jimin's room through the window and hit his naked legs, his thighs hiding under the soft white blanket. The little birds chirped outside his window, the clouds looked beautiful dancing with the blue sky.
It was half past in the morning, last night Jimin had planned to sleep till afternoon the next day as he was very tired. But of course, in Serenity Estate not everything planned by him is on his side.
Jimin gasped and sat upright when a glass full of cold water was splashed onto his face, he adjusted his vision and wiped off the water from his face. "What the-" he almost cursed and saw his Grandmother and her secretary standing on his right and of course the glass was in her hand.
He scoffed, "Good morning to you too." He said, subtly glaring at each.
"Where were you last night?" Grandma asked, ignoring his sarcasm and placed the glass on the mini table beside the bed.
Jimin looked at secretary Kim, he assumed that it must be him who informed his grandma that he was out late. He sighed and rolled his eyes at the man, "I was at Kai's place, Nanny."
Grandma Park folded her arms over her chest and raised her eyebrows at her grandson who refused to look into her eyes, "Really? I will ask him and if you get caught lying you--
"Just call him already!" Jimin interrupted, irritated by her loud deep voice.
'Definitely a nice way to start the morning!' Jimin thought and glared at Mr. Kim. 'I'm sure this man gets paid extra for giving a report of my daily life'
Grandma glared at him, she would come to know about his emotions just by looking at his eyes. She knew he wasn't lying, hence she didn't call instead just walked out of his room with her secretary not before giving a last glance around the room.
Jimin never changed anything in the room. The gray loveseat sofa as always was facing the door, the same light gray fluffy floor mat and the same black curtains. Everything in his room was decorated with black, gray or golden color.
The door closed behind them and Jimin heaved out a sigh of relief, so what if Grandma was good at observing? Park Jimin was the best when it came to lying. Hell, he would beat anyone in this lying game. Honesty was never alive when it was about his life outside of the library.
He climbed off of his bed and made a beeline to his bathroom, unlike the bedroom that was white and cream in color; aesthetic. He brushed his teeth until it was white and fresh, getting naked he got into his bathtub filled with warm water.
After an hour or so, he came out of the bathroom wearing a black bathrobe and headed to his closet which was next to the bathroom. Grabbing a white tee and black track pants pairing it up with white sneakers, he wore his outfit of the day and went downstairs to fill up his stomach.
✦
"Have some more, Jiminie." Grandma said, pointing at the pancakes made by their chef. Jimin nodded and the maid standing beside him added another pancake into his plate and earned a thank you from him.
Mr. Kim sat somewhere in the middle chair, going through Grandma's schedule for the day on the iPad while he sipped his orange juice, as he had already consumed his breakfast at his own house.
The dining area was silent except for the noise of Jimin slurping his drink, Grandma sighed. She had told him many times the manners of eating and drinking. Nevertheless, she brushed it off for the moment as she had to inform him something else.
"Jimin?" She called in a gentle voice, as she knew topics like these come under his dislikes list.
He looked up at her with raised eyebrows and she continued, "Well, my child. There is a party we have to attend later, it's Mia's birthday!" Her voice was now filled with enthusiasm whereas her grandson's face clearly showed that he was pissed off.
Nobody lets him rest!
"Who is Mia, now?" He asked in an irritated tone, Mr. Kim tried his best to hide his smile as he adjusted his big square glasses that protected his dark brown eyes.
"Mia. Mr. Andrew's daughter!" She slightly yelled, annoyed that he forgot about her favorite girl. Well, it's not Jimin's problem that he didn't remember her, she never caught his attention anyway.
He still couldn't remember her but since he didn't want to start his day by listening to his nanny's lectures, he pretended, "Oh Mia! I remember her!" Granny smiled believing his lies, "but is it necessary for me to come? I mean, I planned on staying at h--
He stopped mid sentence after he saw the smiling eyes slowly turning to a deadly glare, "Ah granny!" He nervously chuckled, "Aren't you gonna tell me at what time the party is?"
Grandma hummed, satisfied that he was going to tagalong with them. She informed him that they will be leaving at eight in the night and that he had to wear a nice suit to impress Mia.
'Impress her? I'm not going to marry her, for your kind information' Jimin thought and rolled his eyes as she left the dining area not before telling Mr. Kim, to get the car out so that they can leave for the company.
Before Mr. Kim could walk out, Jimin grabbed his wrist.
"Uncle Kim!" Jimin called smiling widely and the old man knew that a big storm was coming his way and well he was right.
"You are going to give me company throughout the party, right?" Jimin asked in a cute voice, fluttering his eyelashes like a pretty girl.
Mr. Kim gave him a disgusting look and snatched his arm away and scoffed, "And why would I do that, Master Jimin? I apologize, but I cannot." He refused and looked ahead of him as he straightened his blazer.
Jimin smirked as he knew how to make that old man take back what he said, "Do you remember the day when someone drank Nanny's nutritional drink and some maid got blamed and had no days off for a month." Jimin stood up from his seat and approached Mr. Kim.
"Well, wasn't it you Uncle?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at him as he now stood right in front of him. Mr. Kim's eyes went wide, this kid wasn't lying. Jimin had seen the scene and hadn't spoken a word about it for he had to keep it secret for blackmail purposes.
"Who told you it was me?" Mr. Kim gulped, and loosened his gray tie a little. If the old woman learnt this, then consider joining his funeral in a few hours.
Jimin literally ignored that question like some students ignoring their studies and laughed, "So, are you coming or..." he trailed off, waiting for him to agree. He knew he won, but still pretending was something he liked.
"I-I will. Please, d-do not tell ma'am." He requested and bowed, Jimin giggled and hugged him tight. He was just blackmailing and even if Mr. Kim refused, he wouldn't tell Grandma anything. He wasn't that bad after all.
"I think I will survive the day." Jimin muttered and sighed, as he thought about Mia's birthday party. He still didn't recognise her by the way.
