THE DIM GLOW OF THE BEDSIDE LAMPΒ painted the hotel room in warm, muted tones as a certain y/h/c-haired girl lay staring blankly at the ceiling. Aisha's words from earlier that evening echoed in her mind: "Make the most of it."

Easier said than done.

She had replayed the conversation endlessly. Tomorrow marked the last time Cobra Kai would fight as a team. The thought was bittersweetβ€”an ending and a new beginning. Surrendering her captaincy to Tory had been the right choice, she reminded herself, but it didn't make the decision any less heavy.

Frustrated, she tossed to her other side, pulling her blanket up to her chin, but sleep remained elusive. Maybe it was her light dinner. Or maybe it was the storm of emotions swirling in her chest. Whatever the reason, her eyes stubbornly refused to close.

A faint knock broke through her thoughts.

She frowned, glancing at the clock. It was nearly 11:11 PM. Who could it be?

Dragging herself out of bed, she padded to the door, her bare feet silent against the carpet. Opening it just a crack, she was surprised to find Kwon standing there in sweatpants and a loose tank top. His hair was messy as always, like he'd been running his hands through it, and he looked more... vulnerable than usual.

"Can't sleep?" he asked softly, his voice low enough not to disturb the quiet hallway.

Y/n blinked, nodding after a moment. "Yeah... you?"

"Same," he admitted, leaning lightly against the doorframe. "Can I come in?"

Caught off guard, she hesitated but then stepped aside to let him enter.

Y/n blinked at Kwon as he walked in, his hands shoved into the pockets of his sweatpants. His usual confidence seemed dimmed, replaced by an air of quiet exhaustion that she couldn't ignore.

After shutting the door behind him, y/n followed him to the small seating area near the window, but instead of sitting on the chair, Kwon leaned against the windowsill, arms crossed over his chest.

"You okay?" she asked, her tone casual but laced with concern.

"Yeah," he replied too quickly, his gaze fixed on the view outside.

"You're a terrible liar," she said, crossing her arms as she leaned against the bedpost.

That earned her a faint smile, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'm fine," he said again, though his tone wavered.

Y/n tilted her head, watching him closely. "Kwon," she said softly, "what's bothering you?"

He sighed, running a hand through his hair before finally meeting her gaze. "I accepted the deal," he said, his voice quieter now.

"The sponsor deal?" she asked, stepping closer.

He nodded. "Yeah. It seemed like a no-brainer at firstβ€”big money for every fight, even more if I win. But... now it feels like there's this huge weight on me. Like I can't screw up."

Y/n moved to sit on the edge of the bed, her posture relaxed but her eyes attentive. "You promised them wins, didn't you?"

"Not just me," he admitted, his jaw tightening. "Cobra Kai as a team. If we win, it's a jackpot. If we don't..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "Let's just say I can't afford to lose. Literally. It goes straight out of the college funds my mother left for me."

She stayed silent for a moment, letting his words sink in. Then she said softly, "That's a lot to take on."

"Yeah," he agreed, his voice tinged with frustration. "I mean, I'm confident in myself, in the team, but it's... a lot."

The girl's expression softened as she stood and crossed the small space to stand in front of him. "You're right," she said, her tone gentle but firm, "but you're one of the strongest people I know. If anyone can handle this, it's you."

He looked at her, the faintest hint of a smile tugging at his lips. "You think so?"

"I know so," she replied without hesitation.

For a moment, the tension in his shoulders seemed to ease, and he let out a quiet chuckle. "You're pretty good at this whole pep talk thing."

She smirked, ruffling his hair playfully. "Someone's gotta keep you in check."

"Glad it's you," he said softly, the sincerity in his tone catching her off guard as he held her hand, placing a soft kiss on her knuckles.

They stood there in the quiet for a moment, the weight of his worries seeming to lift slightly in her presence.

"You'll be okay," she said finally. "We all will."

Kwon's smile widened, and for the first time that night, it felt genuine. "Thanks, y/n/n."

"Anytime," she replied, nudging his arm playfully. "Now, sit down and stop looming over me. You're making me nervous."

He laughed, the sound low and warm, before taking a seat beside her on the bed.

Their conversation shifted to lighter topics, the heaviness of the sponsorship deal fading into the background as they spoke about anything and everything. Kwon even managed to crack a few jokes, earning genuine laughter from y/n.

But every so often, the weight of the deal crept back into the conversation, and Y/N was quick to reassure him.

"You're doing this for the right reasons," she said at one point, her hand resting lightly on his arm. "And you've got people behind you who believe in you."

"Like you?" he asked, a teasing note in his voice.

"Obviously," she replied, rolling her eyes but smiling.

His smile softened. "That means a lot, you know."

"It's true," she said simply.

And for the first time that night, Kwon felt like maybe, just maybe, everything would be okay.

As Kwon sat cross-legged on the edge of her bed, his hands loosely clasped in his lap as they continued talking. The tension from earlier had faded, replaced by an easy intimacy that neither of them had planned for but neither wanted to escape.

"How's Halmoni doing?" y/n asked softly, her voice gentle but curious.

Kwon's expression softened immediately, the hint of a smile playing at his lips. "She's doing okay. Yoo-mi's family is looking after her."

The y/h/c-haired girl stiffened slightly at the mention of Yoo-mi, her posture rigid for a split second before she caught herself. She tried to play it off, focusing on the way Kwon's face lit up at the thought of his grandmother, but he noticed.

His eyes narrowed slightly, a playful smirk forming. "You always do that when I say her name."

"Do what?" she asked, feigning innocence.

"You know what," he said, leaning forward slightly, his tone teasing. "You stiffen up, like you're bracing for impact."

She opened her mouth to argue but stopped when she caught the glint of amusement in his eyes. "Fine," she admitted, rolling her eyes. "She just... gets under my skin sometimes. Besides, can you really blame me after everything that happened between the two of you?"

Kwon sighed, leaning back on his hands. "She gets under everyone's skin. It's her superpower."

Y/n couldn't help but smile at that, shaking her head. "Well, at least Halmoni has someone looking after her."

"Yeah," he said, his tone shifting. "But that's part of why I took the deal. I'm tired of owing everyone everything. My dad, Sensei Kim, Yoo-mi... it's like every part of my life comes with strings attached. I just want to stand on my own for once."

Y/n nodded, her gaze soft as she reached out and placed a hand over his. "You will," she said firmly. "You're one of the most determined people I've ever met. If anyone can do it, it's you."

He looked at her for a moment, something unspoken passing between them, and then he smiled. "You really believe that?"

"Of course I do," she replied, her tone unwavering.

The conversation drifted naturally from the weight of their responsibilities to simpler, sillier topics. They reminisced about the strange drills Sensei Kim had made them do over the weeks and laughed about the absurdity of Cobra Kai's extreme training methods.

"I still can't believe she made us spar blindfolded... on a rooftop," y/n said, shaking her head.

Kwon snorted. "Yeah, because nothing screams 'team-building' like the threat of falling to your death."

She laughed, her head tilting back slightly as the sound filled the room. "I swear, I almost tripped over Lee during that drill. He's so quiet when he's panicking."

"Quiet? I thought he was holding his breath to avoid screaming," Kwon replied, grinning.

Y/n chuckled. "Okay, but admit itβ€”you tripped too."

"I did not trip," he said, feigning indignation.

"Oh, please," she teased. "I saw you stumble. You're lucky no one had a camera."

Kwon chuckled, shaking his head. "Fine. Maybe I tripped a little. But I recovered like a pro."

"Sure you did," she said, rolling her eyes, but her smile softened as she watched him.

As the laughter faded, their conversation naturally slowed. Kwon's hand brushed against hers as he shifted on the bed, and y/n glanced down at the faint contact before meeting his eyes.

The humor lingered in his expression, but something else flickered there nowβ€”something deeper, more vulnerable. He didn't ask, didn't say a word, but y/n could see the intent in his gaze.

Her breath caught for just a moment, but she didn't move away. Instead, she leaned in, closing the small distance between them as their lips met in a kiss.

It was soft at first, a gentle exploration, but it quickly deepened, a mix of passion and familiarity that left her heart racing. His hand cupped her cheek, the roughness of his calloused fingers a comforting contrast to the tenderness of his touch.

The girl's hands slid up to his shoulders, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as she pulled him closer. The kiss was unhurried, yet every second seemed to pulse with an electric intensity that made her head spin.

When they finally broke apart for air, their foreheads rested together, both of them breathing heavily but smiling softly.

"I could get used to this..." Kwon murmured, his voice low and teasing.

Y/n smirked, a playful glint in their eyes. "Oh, don't get too comfortable. I might just keep you on your toes."

His brow arched, a mix of challenge and amusement flashing across his face. Without another word, Kwon tilted his head and kissed them again, harder this time, his hands gripping their waist as if daring them to try and take control. His lips moved with an intensity that left no room for argument, his dominance clear in every movement.

The girl however didn't mind losing this battle. Not one bit...

Her hands rested on his chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his tank top, clutching it as though she were anchoring herself. He noticed, pulling back just enough to look at her with a teasing smirk.

"You're gripping my shirt like you're about to rip it off," he murmured, his voice low, sending a shiver down her spine.

"Maybe I should," she shot back, her voice breathless but defiant.

Kwon chuckled, the sound deep and rich. Without breaking eye contact, he grabbed the hem of his tank top and pulled it off in one fluid motion. The sudden sight of him shirtless left her staring, her mouth slightly agape.

His chest was lean and sculpted, his muscles defined with sharp lines that seemed to catch the soft light of the room perfectly. His shoulders were strong and squared, leading to equally toned arms that flexed slightly as he adjusted his position. His abs, firm and chiseled, looked like they belonged on the cover of a fitness magazine, and the y/h/c-haired girl couldn't help but let her eyes linger.

"You okay there?" Kwon asked, his tone teasing as he raised an eyebrow.

She blinked, realizing she'd been caught staring, and quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks flushing. "Iβ€”uh... yeah. Fine."

"Really? Because you've been staring at me like I'm buffet," he teased, leaning in slightly, his smirk growing.

"Don't flatter yourself," she retorted, though her voice lacked the usual bite.

"Too late," he said smoothly, catching her hand and placing it against his chest. "Go ahead. I know you want to."

Y/n hesitated for a moment, but her curiosity won out. Her fingers lightly traced over the lines of his muscles, feeling the warmth of his skin and the steady beat of his heart beneath her palm.

"Okay, fine," she admitted softly, meeting his gaze. "You have a great body. Happy now?"

Kwon's grin widened, but instead of gloating, his expression softened. "Thanks," he said, his voice surprisingly sincere. Then he added with a playful glint in his eye, "For the record, you're not too bad yourself."

She rolled her eyes, though her blush deepened. "Shut up."

"Why? Am I wrong?" he asked, his tone light but his eyes full of warmth. He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You're gorgeous, y/n. You know that, right?"

Her breath hitched, and she looked down, trying to hide her growing smile. But before she could respond, he pressed a soft kiss to her wounded cheek, the warmth of his lips lingering on her skin.

"See? Blushing again," he teased, earning a light shove from her.

"Stop being annoying, that's just the bruise!" she muttered, though her tone lacked any real heat.

"Never," he replied, leaning in to steal another kiss. This one was slower, deeper, and it left her utterly breathless.

At some point, Kwon shifted, lying back on the bed and pulling her down with him. She let out a soft laugh as she ended up half-draped over him, her head resting against his chest. His arms wrapped around her, holding her close as one hand idly played with her hair.

For a while, they lay there in comfortable silence, the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath her lulling her into a sense of calm.

As he played with her hair absentmindedly, he spoke. "Halmoni knows about you, you know."

Y/n tilted her head to look at him, surprised. "She does?"

He chuckled, nodding. "Yeah. She thinks you're... how did she put it? Oh, right. 'A fierce little tiger with a heart of gold.'"

Y/n laughed softly, shaking her head. "She's sweet."

"She's stubborn," Kwon corrected, grinning. "But yeah... wise lady. She likes you."

"Well, I like her too," y/n said, her voice soft. "She's amazing. I really hope she gets better soon."

"She will," Kwon said confidently.

They lay there in silence for a while, exchanging soft words and quiet laughter until their eyelids grew heavy.

Kwon pressed a kiss to her forehead, whispering, "Good night, y/n/n."

"Good night, Kwon," she murmured, her voice drowsy but content.

And as they drifted off to sleep, tangled together in the quiet intimacy of the moment, the worries of the world outside faded away, if only for a little while.

They'll face tomorrow, hearts entwined...
