THE REDHEAD WOKE UP startled, eyes blinking against the light from the small lamp beside her before she even noticed that this wasn't even her room. A figure walked out of the bathroom with a small cloth in hand and her eyes flickered up to meet certain brown ones. "You okay?" His tone was soft just like his gaze and Daphne could feel her heartbeat speeding up just a tiny bit.

"Yeah," she rasped out, clearing her throat as she sat up. "How long was I out this time?"

Dick took a seat on the side, closer to her but still too far away as he met her gaze again. "Not that long, thank god," he muttered and flashes of what happened clouded her mind. "Are you okay? You landed pretty harshly," Daphne asked him carefully not meeting his eyes at first.

"I've known worse landings."

This time her blue orbs ranked over his features as she noticed a big and bad looking bruise on his cheek. And before she could stop herself, she scooted closer to him, her fingertips touching his cheek slightly as he flinched at first. "Sorry," she mumbled with rosy cheeks herself but to her surprise he got a hold of her wrist before she could have pulled her arm away, holding her there.

"It's okay. You just surprised me, that's all," he told her and her gaze flickered to his eyes again. There was something about his look and his eyes that Daphne couldn't quite place.

Dick nodded at her as if he had read her mind and her fingertips skimmed over his skin as he closed his eyes embracing her touch. This soft side was slightly new to her but Daphne didn't complain. Her lips parted as she wanted to ask him something as suddenly the door burst open. "Hey Dick is Daphne already aw-," Kory halted for a moment as the redhead quickly retreated her hand from his face. "Did I interrupted you two?" The magenta haired female asked with a slight smirk on her lips and Daphne knew that her face must be flaming red.

Her whole face burned and both of them shook their heads. "Are you sure? I mean I can leave so-," Kory added again and Dick immediately jumped up. "No, I wanted to check on Rachel either way," he muttered before he shot Daphne a short glance and walked out of the room.

Kory waited for a moment as the door closed before her gaze settled on Daphne. "How are you feeling?"

The redhead sat at the edge of the bed. "A bit tired," she answered almost confused. Daphne thought that she would feel empty with all the power the let loose, but there was nothing. Everything was still the same and she truly didn't know what she could do with that information. "Yeah, that was quite the stunt you pulled there," Kory added and Daphne raised her head to meet her stare. The cat was out of the bag; the accident that happened in the house before had been just a taste of what she was capable of.

But now, she showed them what she was even when Daphne herself didn't know who or what she was.

"I'm sorry," the redhead told Kory and the female gave her a sympathetic little smile. "No need to apologize. You saved our asses down there."

A small sigh left her lips as she changed the topic, not wanting to feel that anger rise inside her again. "What about this crazy family? Did we get them?" Kory nodded while her gaze flickered around the room. "Yes, we did. They are in Dick's room tied to chairs but sadly enough they are not giving us anything," she told her and Daphne slowly got up. "Someone has to get something out of them don't you think? Maybe I should talk-," Daphne started but Kory cut her off.

"You are staying here until you feel better. After your show out there you probably feel drained."

A short silence passed as Kory's words reached her ears and weirdly enough, the redhead didn't feel drained at all. Not like the first time she lost control, this time it was different. Something was different and Daphne just had more and more questions popping up in her mind.

"I don't-," she began carefully, eyes slightly twitched together while she stared at the magenta haired female. "I don't feel drained," Daphne added and confused Kory tilted her head, eyebrows furrowed together in worry. "Really?" Her voice sounded surprised and if the redhead was honest, she felt the same way too. There was still a fire bubbling beneath the surface and she had no clue how to put it out.

"Yeah," she breathed out, staring at her hands as she felt the power in her fingertips growing. Kory watched her, sensing the power that was raiding off the redhead bringing more questions.

"Perhaps we find answers soon," Kory told her, and Daphne's eyes switched up, uncertainty lingering in her blue orbs. But the redhead just nodded in response.

The cold air kissed her face softly as she watched Rachel talking to Dick. Apparently, he wanted to use the car of the family, to drive towards the last address they had used before coming here. It was a risky idea and Daphne hated his plan, even more, knowing that Dick Grayson would want to travel alone. "Still shocking knowing that Dick is the Robin, am I right?" the sudden voice of Garfield tore the redhead from her thoughts and her gaze shifted towards the green-haired boy.

A humming sound escaped her.

"Yeah, something like that," she answered softly as her eyes flickered towards Grayson again. Their eyes locked and just like in the beginning this man was a mystery to her. There were a darkness and a light inside of him, battling to take over never knowing which one would finally win. And surprisingly, Daphne was drawn to him, but what she didn't know was which side she was drawn to.

His darkness or his light shining behind his dark brown eyes.

Tearing her gaze away she walked with Garfield towards the other two. "You're really Robin huh," Gar spoke out, a small grin on his lips. "So when are we going to meet Batman?"

With a raised eyebrow, Dick threw him a look. "Probably never," he answered and the redhead could hear the bitter tone behind his words. But Garfield didn't. The boy seemed disappointed but before he could open his mouth again, Kory butted in. "You shouldn't go alone." Daphne crossed her arms over her chest, silently agreeing. "It's safer this way. I need you and Daphne to watch over the family and Rachel. Not to forget that the police are still looking for you Kory," Grayson answered and a sigh escaped the redhead.

"Are you sure? You don't know what will be waiting there for you," Daphne said and Dick just nodded.

The redhead knew that no one could change the mind of Dick Grayson no matter what they would say. So the others said their goodbyes for awhile and Daphne waited for the others to go back to the motel. Her blue orbs found his brown ones as a short silence passed. "Take care, and please don't do something stupid," Daphne told him firmly and a small smile crossed his lips as he got inside the car.

He leaned over the open window, the smile still staying on his lips. "I never do something stupid Daphne."
