AURORA WAS STOOD IN THE KITCHEN, getting everything ready in order to head to work. She already had her jacket and shoes on, she was just finishing up with packing her bag. Aurora could hear the door to the bedroom open but she didn't glance over. She hadn't spoken to Isaac all night, mainly because she was stuck in the bathroom tending to her wounds. He had wrapped his arms around her when she had finally gotten to bed but words were never exchanged.

She could feel his presence behind her as her hair moves away from her neck. Isaac wrapped his arms around her from the back, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Baby." He says softly into her ear as he holds her close. Aurora slightly turns her head, just standing there. "I'm sorry for being so rough, you know I didn't mean to be, right?" Isaac apologizes as he rubs at her hips, planting a gentle kiss on the skin of her neck. Aurora let's out a sigh before putting a smile on her face.

"Of course." She replies, she knew she had angered him by what she has said to Daniel It was her fault that he had reacted that way, obviously she knew he hasn't meant to cause her so much harm. She turns in his arms to fully face the man who's face immediately falls.

"Your face." He points out as he brings his fingers to just below the bruise and cut that had formed.

"I'm okay, I promise." Aurora assures him, giving him a smile to let him know that she was okay.

"I can't ruin this pretty face, can I?" Isaac says as he tilts his head, rubbing the skin of her cheek lightly before pulling his hand away. Aurora glances down at the ground, feeling her mood dimmer slightly.

"Not when it's the only reason you're with me." Aurora states, a frown forming on her face. She always felt insecure, never feeling good enough for him. But Isaac was always sure to remind her that she was it for him.

"Nonsense." Isaac replies as he shakes his head. "You have so many great attributes. You're so amazing, sweetheart." He tells her making her heart swoon as she rests against his chest, gazing up at the man she loved.

"I wish I could just stay here with you." Aurora admits with a sigh, not wanting to head to work even thought she knew she had to.

"So do I." Isaac responds, rubbing her back
"How about when you get off work, I take you out for a nice meal, hmm? How does that sound?" He asks, knowing that was a good way to get them back on track.

"Perfect."

"Roses?" He asks, he always got her roses after they fought, it was just a simple gesture but quite effective.

"Of course." Aurora says, she loved the smell of roses. He had first gotten her them on their third date and it has just become a tradition ever since.

"What are you going to tell people who ask?" Isaac questions and it was clear that he was referring to the bruise that would obviously draw attention.

"That I hit my face on the cupboard." She responds, she knew of the lie she had to come up with but she didn't care. it wasnt anyone else's business anyways.

"Good job, baby." Isaac tells her with a smirk as he gazes into her eyes. "Just stay clear of Daniel for a few days, okay?" He suggests, he knew that Daniel was around to stay but until she was healed, it was best to avoid him.

"Mhm." Aurora was already going to do that, she didn't need Daniel seeing her bruises and asking questions. But it was going to be hard to avoid him if people told him where she was.

"Till things calm down." Isaac adds and she nods her head lightly.

"Anything you say." She replies, knowing that he always knew the best course of action to take. That's why she always went to him when she had a problem.

"You're so incredible like that, aren't you?" He states with a smile as he stares down at her. "No one can make you feel better than I do, right?" Isaac asks her, although it was more of a statement since he already knew that he was the only one who could make her feel this way.

"No one." She denies as she gazes up at him. Isaac tilts his head, running his hand through her hair.

"No one will ever care for you like I do." He tells her as he stares at his girlfriend. Aurora just nods slowly, resting her head against his hand. "I love you more than anything." Isaac says, his eyes showing nothing but admiration for her.

"I love you too." Aurora replies, leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips. Isaac returns it, deepening it for a second before pulling away from her, much to her dismay.

"Don't want you to be late again, do we?" Isaac states as he strokes her cheek, allowing her to rest her head on his chest. "Go save lives." He tells her as he holds her close for a moment before letting her go. Aurora smiles up at him before turning and heading to the door. She takes one last glance at her boyfriend before heading out of the apartment.

AURORA WAS AT HER LOCKER, getting ready for the day. She wasn't really talking much, she was more trying to cover the bruise that was on her face so that nobody asked her questions. It was hard to make unnoticeable though since it was particularly large and their was a small gash aswell. She should have gotten it stitched up but she had no time. "I need a major rush to make it through this day. I need a kick-ass surgery." George states with a groan as he rubs his face, trying to keep himself awake. Aurora glances towards him but doesn't say anything.

"Ooh, you a bad boy last night, Georgie?" Alex teases him with a smirk on his face. He moves behind Aurora who rolls her eyes as he had gotten way too into her personal space.

"That would be Meredith." Izzie corrects him making Alex raise his eyebrows as he turns his attention to Meredith.

"You a bad boy, Meredith?" Alex asks her as he makes his way past the woman. Cristina, who was putting her hair up into a ponytail, raises her eyebrows as she stares at Meredith.

"Do tell." She says, wanting to know what had happened that caused Izzie and George to act this way.

"Nothing to tell." Meredith mumbles which makes Cristina laugh as she shakes her head.

"That says it all, huh?" Cristina states as she walks past in order to get to the mirror. Izzie stops beside Aurora who was just fixing her hair.

"Hey, you okay?" Izzie asks, a bit of concern in her voice. Aurora could see that she was staring at the large bruise. She gives the blonde a reassuring smile.

"Uh, yeah. Just hit it on a cupboard. It was stupid." Aurora answers her and she could see the others, including Alex glance over at her to see what she was referring to.

"You should really get that stitched." Cristina points out, grimacing lightly. Aurora nods her head, clearing her throat a bit as she didn't like all this attention on her.

"Yeah, I will." She replies before looking back at her locker. Izzie walks towards Meredith, her mood turning sour once more.

"Sorry, I have a sex life." Meredith states with a sigh as she watches Izzie and George push past her, clearly not happy with her in the slightest.

"Don't apologize. Embrace it. Share it. Count me in." Alex mumbles as he walks by them but not before stopping to take a better look at Aurora's bruise. He could tell it probably hurt getting it but when she glanced in his direction he just made his way out of the locker room.

"Yeah, next time just let me know if I need to go to a hotel so I can get some sleep." Izzie states with a roll of her eyes, letting out a scoff before leaving.

"Am I missing something?" Meredith asks, glancing around the room, not understanding what the big deal was.

"You were just a little loud." George mutters as he keeps his eyes down before following after Izzie. Cristina watches him before turning her eyes back to Meredith.

"Do they know it's Mcdreamy keeping them up all night?" Cristina asks, raising an eyebrow at the woman. Aurora closes her locker, walking over to them.

"I hope not. I already have Bailey riding me, I don't need my roommates thinking I'm getting special treatment." Meredith explains with a sigh as they make their way towards the hallway. Cristina glances towards Aurora who winced a bit as she touched her cheek.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She questions, wondering how on earth she hit her face on a cupboard so hard.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Aurora retorts with a small laugh.ย  "Says the girl with the flu." She states, raising an eyebrow at the woman who was sick and looked worse than her.

"Hey, it isn't killing me. I'm perfectly fine." Cristina tells her as they walk up to the group who now had bailey leading them.

"O'Malley, yang, karev- go on to the clinic." Bailey demands as she looks at the three interns. They nod as they pass by doctor Shepherd who was putting eye drops in. "O'Malley, patients are waiting." She states as she notices that George was lagging behind. "You three with me." Bailey says, gesturing to Izzie, Aurora and Meredith who follow after her. "Morning Doctor Shepherd." She says in a blunt tone as she stares at the man.

"Good morning, Doctor Bailey." Derek responds, glancing towards Meredith before heading down the hall opposite of them.

"Late night, Grey?" Bailey asks as she raises an eyebrow at the woman who seemed to be barely keeping her eyes open.

"No, coffee just hasn't kicked in yet." Meredith responds as she puts her hair into a ponytail.

"If you're at all religious, you would want to start praying it kicks in soon. Theres a consult in the pit, girl with a fever and abdominal pain. After that, Nicholas in 3311 needs his meds. Mr Moeller's iv fell out and he's a hard stick. Post ops in 1337, 3342, 3363, and 2381." Bailey lists which made Aurora raise her eyebrows. She was sure giving a lot to Meredith and not the others.

"3363 and 23.... 81-" Meredith starts to list offย  slowly as she stares down at the notepad in her hand.

"Why are you still standing in front of me?" Bailey asks making Meredith jump a bit. The woman hurries away causing Bailey to just shake her head. As she turns, she notices the sour looks on both Aurora and izzies faces. "You both look more like me than you right now. What's the matter?" She questions as she stares at the two women.

"Nothing." Izzie mumbles as she shrugs her shoulders. It was then that bailey finally got a full glimpse of Aurora's eyes.

"Kenley, what happened to your face?" Bailey asks, referencing the bruise that everyone else had noticed aswell. Aurora clears her throat, rubbing her neck a bit.

"Cupboard." She responds, not wanting to elaborate or be stuck in a line of a million questions. Although she doubted that bailey would ask so many questions to her.

"Help. I need immediate help." They hear someone shout so they look over, seeing a woman walking towards them with a man beside her who was clutching his throat.

"What's the problem?" Bailey asks the woman curiously as she looks between the pair.

"My damn boyfriend swallowed my keys." She states causing Aurora to raise her eyebrows as she just stared at the man. Men were truly idiotic at times.

"I didn't want her to leave." The man responds, his voice weak and breathy because of the keys lodged in his throat.

"Locate the woman's keys." Bailey states as she looks towards Izzie who nods her head. "Kenley, your on doctor Shepherds service." She tells the woman who was internally grateful that she didn't have to stick around for this. Aurora bids Izzie a good luck smile before heading off to find Derek.

DEREK AND AURORA WERE IN THE SCRUB ROOM, washing their hands as they had just gotten down with a craniotomy. Aurora was just paying attention to what she was doing, trying to ignore the pain that her body was giving her. She suffered through it because she wasn't about to give up a brain surgery. Derek glances towards the woman, watching her for a moment. "You did good work in there." Derek admits and Aurora looks at him, meeting his gaze.

"Thank you." Aurora replies as she nods her head. Derek looks at the bruise on her face before looking back in front of him.

"I couldn't help but notice you wincing quite a bit when using your right arm." Derek states as he gestured to the arm. Aurora glances down at it for a moment. Isaac had held onto her a bit too tightly so whenever she lifted it a certain way, it tended to make her wince.

"It's nothing." She tells him with a shake of her head. Aurora had worn a long sleeve to cover that bruise but she couldn't exactly hide the pain and Derek seemed to be the type of person to pay attention.

"And this?" He gestured at her eye. Aurora clears her throat, pulling her hands from the sink to dry them.

"Hit it on a door." Aurora states as she brushes her hair behind her ear. Derek knew it looked bad, must have been a pretty nasty hit.

"Hm." Derek hums, deciding to drop the subject. "I'm glad I could have you on my service today." He admits as he drys his hands, discarding of his mask in the bin.

"Me too." Aurora replies with a smile, she didn't mind being on other services since she was still learning. But nothing was ever going to sway her from neuro.

They make their way towards the door, Derek opening it for Aurora. "Your brother is looking for you, by the way." Derek tells her as they walk out into the hallway. Aurora clenches her jaw, just staring in front of her. Of course Daniel was looking for her, which was why she was purposely trying to avoid him.

"Doctor Shepherd." George says as he walks up to the pair. Derek only glances at him for a second before he continues making his way down the hall.

"I need to get some coffee." He replies, if George wanted to talk then he would have to move while he was doing it.

"Make that two." Aurora states, needing some caffeine to fully wake her up. She really needed a nap but she knew that wasn't going to happen today with his fast paced everything was going.

"Jamie Hayes has been admitted. The little girl with the brain abnormality." George tells him as he walks beside the pair. Derek glances towards the man, raising an eyebrow.

"How's she presenting?" Derek asks curiously, wondering how the patient was doing. He stops so that George could give him the full workup.

"She has what looks like continuous seizure activity in her left foot. Her balance is off. Her parents have come a long way to try and find out what's wrong." George explains to him as he hands Derek the scans. Derek takes them out of the envelope, lifting them up so he could stare at them for a moment.

"How old are these?" Derek asks, narrowing his eyes. Aurora looks at the scans as well but she didn't know exactly what she was looking for.

"Three months old." George answers him and Derek just looks from the scans to the intern.

"I need new ones. Her brain could look dramatically different today." Derek states with a sigh, putting the scans away. George nods his head.

"Okay, I'll order them."

"Thank you." Derek states before walking away from George, Aurora following after him. "You're not expecting me to buy your coffee, are you?" He asks as he glanced towards the girl with a raised eyebrow. Aurora just meets his eyes, biting the inside of her cheek.

"I thought you offered." Aurora says with a slight smirk on her face. Derek narrows his eyes playfully at the girl.

"Mhm, right."

AURORA WAS IN THE EXAMINATION ROOM WITH DEREK, taking a look at the little girl who George had told them about. George was stood back as they tried to understand what was going on with Jamie. "You look like a princess. Do you know you're a princess?" Derek asks the girl with a smile on his face as Jamie squealed a little bit. Aurora smiles down at Jamie.

"The prettiest princess." Aurora adds with a nod. Derek grabs the muscle instrument from the little girl who was putting it near her lips.

"It's not lipstick? No, it's not lipstick." Derek tells her as he brings her arm down a bit. "Want to do my shoulder? Oh, good, thank you." He says at Jamie hits his shoulder with the instrument. "How about Doctor Kenley?" He says, gesturing to the woman who walks over a bit so that Jamie could do her aswell.

"Wow, thank you so much." Aurora replies with a gasp as she tilts her head.

"And nose?" She asks as she tilts her head, holding out the instrument towards Aurora.

"My nose too?" Aurora responds as she bends down a bit. Jamie hits her nose lightly with the device. "You're great at that." She compliments with a huge smile which Jamie shares.

"Now, we're gonna find out what's causing her seizures." Derek states as he looks towards the parents before turning to George. "Does M.R.I know we're coming down?" He asks curiously and George only stares back at him.

"You said C.T."

"Now I'm saying M.R.I." Derek retorts and George had to bite his tongue in order to not glare at the attending.

"It's available." He answers and Derek smirks, nodding his head.

"Good."

"Pretty." Jamie says as she points towards Aurora.

"You're right, you are very pretty." Aurora replies with a nod as she brushes the little girls hair over her shoulder.

"You pretty." She states as she presses her finger into Aurora's arm.

"Me?" Aurora asks with a smile on her face. She always loved kids and wanted some of her own, but she knew she had to wait until she at least finished most of her residency.

"Doctor, is she gonna need surgery?" The mom asks as she stares at Derek. He lets out a sigh as he shakes his head.

"I don't know yet." Derek replies, he didn't know what they were dealing with yet. The father glances towards his daughter before letting out a small sigh.

"It's just that my wife and I, we both work and I know if our insurance-"

"We know it can be very expensive." The mom finishes. Aurora frowns as she looks at the parents, she hated how their healthcare system was so expensive, people could barely come to the hospital without being afraid of how much it would cost.

"I don't want you to worry about that." Derek tells them, wanting to focus on finding out what was wrong with Jamie first. Aurora glances towards Jamie, seeing her leg start to shake.

"Doctor Shepherd." She says, catching his attention and he instantly becomes alert.

"It's a focal left side seizure, let's get that diazepam running right now, please." Derek states as he looks towards the nurse who goes to grab the medicine. "A tourniquet, please." He says as he holds out his hand. "Hey, Jamie. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna put this on your arm, okay?" He states as he wraps the band around the little girls arm. "Isn't that fun? Here, we're gonna put that into you, like that. And this is gonna feel cold. This is a butterfly" Derek explains as he holds up the small needle. "Butterfly lands right there. Mm, there we go. It's amazing stuff, isn't it." He asks the parents as her leg stops shaking. The parents nod their heads but it was clear they still a little shaken.

"Hey, you like spaceships?" Derek asks the little girl who nods her head. "Should be take captain O'Malley, my first lieutenant to the spaceship MRI?" He questions as he glances towards George before getting up from the chair. "Let me know when you two get the results." He states and Aurora and george immediately go to exit the room. "Oh, Doctor Kenley?" Derek says as he turns but the woman was already gone.

Derek walks out of the patient room, glancing around but not seeing aurora. He noticed Alex by the nurse's station. "Karev." He calls and Alex glances towards him before walking at the man.

"Yeah?"

"Make sure that Aurora takes antibiotics for that cut on her face." Derek tells him which causes Alex to just look confused and partially annoyed.

"Why me?" Alex asks, he didn't want to be stuck chasing the woman around the hospital. Derek seemed not too happy with how he responded.

"Because I told you to do it." His voice was firm as he narrowed his eyes a bit. "You have a problem with that?" Derek asks him and Alex clears his throat but shakes his head.

"Not at all, sir." Alex lies as he clenches his jaw, glancing down at the ground.

"Great, now go." Derek tells him as he points behind the man. Alex goes to move but stops himself, turning back to Derek.

"How'd she say she got the cut?" He asks curiously, wondering if Aurora had told him the say thing that she said in the locker room.

"Said she hit it on a door, why?" Derek questions, a bit confused.

"No reason." Alex says, shaking his head. He didn't want to speculate or spread rumours about something like that if it wasn't true. He may be a complete asshole but he didn't mess with shit like that, especially if it was what he was thinking of.

ALEX FINDS AURORA HEADING DOWN THE O.R HALLWAY, about to head into surgery. He catches up with her in order to stop her before she could. Aurora just glances in his direction as she sees him heading towards her. "Hey." He says as he stops in front of her. Aurora just narrows her to eyes, clenching her jaw.

"What do you want, mouth breather?" Aurora asks and Alex just rolls his eyes before holding out the pill in his hand. Aurora just stared at it, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Just take this." Alex tells her as he gestured towards the pill. Aurora let's out a scoff as she just shakes her head, moving to shove past him.

"If you want to poison me, I'd take a more subtle approach. I have surgery." She states as she goes to walk past him but Alex grabs her arm. Aurora glares at him, not liking how he was touching her.

"Doctor Shepherd told me to get you to take antibiotics." Alex explains, it wasn't like it was his idea. Derek seemed like he would write him up if he didn't do it. Aurora furrows her eyebrows as she just crosses her arms against her chest.

"Why?"

"For that." Alex states, gesturing towards her eye that didn't seem to have gotten stitched. She just slapped a bandaid on it.

"It's nothing." She denies, she hated how people kept pointing it out. But it wasn't like she could cover it with makeup since it was still an open wound.

"Until it becomes infected." He points out and she just narrows her eyes at him.

"And you care, why?" Aurora questions, Alex never cared once that she got injured when she was young so why did he suddenly care now?

"I don't. He ordered me to do this." Alex admits, Derek had practically demanded that he gave her an antibiotic.

"Figures." She mumbled as she takes the pill from his hand. Aurora just stared at him, raising an eyebrow. "Did you not bring any water?" Aurora asks, she hated taking pills with nothing to drink it with.

"That's not my problem." Alex retorts as he shrugs his shoulders, crossing his arms against his chest.

"Such a gentleman." Aurora says with a false smile. She stared down at the pill, hoping George would have water when she went into the scrub room.

"Shepherd said you hit your face on a door, but you told Izzie it was a cupboard." Alex pipes up, wanting to know why her story was changing. He may hate her but he could tell that something was going on.

"A cupboard is a door isn't it?" Aurora replies, trying to keep her face neutral. She knew why he was asking, she wasn't an idiot. Alex knew the signs of when someone was getting abused.

"Uh, yeah." He says, deciding not to say anything more because truthfully, he didn't have any sort of proof. He hadn't even met her so called boyfriend, not that he wanted to. Aurora just stared at Alex as he stood in front of her.

"Goodbye." Aurora says bluntly, waving her hands to indicate that he should leave. She just turns to head into the scrub room.

"You're welcome." Alex calls out after her as he rolls his eyes.ย  "Bitch." He mutters as he turns to head in the opposite direction.

Aurora just walks into the scrub room, seeing that George and Derek were already in there. She shares a smile with George as she stands next to him, grabbing a mask to put on. "I appreciate this. The chance to scrub in on this kind of procedure is, well -- yeah, I appreciate it." George says as he looks towards Derek. The man only nods as he focuses on what he was doing.

A nurse walks into the scrub room, stopping beside Derek. "Here you go. Triple espresso, not too hot." She tells him and Derek graciously takes it from her.

"Oh, I love you, seriously." Derek states as he needed this before the surgery. Aurora looks over at Fay, the nurse, placing her hands on her hips.

"No coffee for me, Fay?" Aurora asks her, pouting lightly. Fay looks towards the intern, smiling lightly.

"You weren't here for me to ask." Fay points out which causes Aurora to just let out a dramatic gasp as she brings her hand to her chest.

"Excuses." She says as she shakes her head.

"You know I got you next time, girl." Fay responds with a laugh before leaving the room. Aurora turns to Derek and he just stares back at her as he takes a drink. She holds up the pill in her hand and just raises an eyebrow at him. Derek pulls the cup away from his mouth before handing it to her so that she could take the pill.

"Ah coffee- where would medicine be without it, huh?" Doctor Taylor asks with a chuckle as he makes his way past George and Aurora. George stops for a moment, causing Aurora to almost bump into him. She just gives him a confused expression as she could tell he was thinking about something.

"I hope you have a new crossword, Taylor. We're gonna be here a while." Derek says as they walk into the O.R. Taylor holds one up, glancing towards the surgeon.

"Never go without." Taylor states as he walks over to the O.R. table.ย  "Big day for you two, congrats." He says as he glanced towards Aurora and George.

"Hey, princess. You ready to take a nap?" Derek asks the little girl on the table as he smiles down at her. Taylor brings the mask over her face so they could start to put her out.

"Do you smell.." George starts, his voice barely above a whisper as he looks towards Derek. Derek just furrows his eyebrows, not knowing what he was talking about.

"Smell what? I'm wearing a mask." Derek points out as he continues to tie the mask around his head. Aurora sniffs, trying to see what George was talking about but she was on the other side of the room so she didn't smell anything.

"Uh.. I'm sorry, Doctor Taylor. But did you just.." George starts, catching the man's attention. "Have you been drinking?" He asks which makes everyone look at him like he was insane.

"I beg your pardon?" Taylor responds, feeling targeted by George's attack.

"Do you smell -- I smell alcohol." George states firmly as he stares at Taylor. Aurora glances between them, honestly, she had smelt a little bit but didn't know if it was from him.

"Where the hell do you get off accusing me of something like that?" Taylor asks him, glaring at the intern. Derek looks towards George, his jaw clenched.

"George. You're out of line." Derek tells him with a shake of his head. George turns to Derek, not backing down from his accusation.

"There are rules. You know, there are rules for a reason." He states as he stares intently at Derek. Aurora knew George meant that in two ways and she was sure Derek did too. "There is a two year old girl on this table. You shouldn't take advantage of someone else's vulnerability." George tells him but it didn't seem like Taylor liked what he was saying at all.

"I don't need some punk intern telling me what's at stake here.ย  Get him out of here, Shep." Taylor demands with a scoff as he shakes his head. Derek just continues to stare at George for a moment. "Shepherd?" Taylor edges as he furrows his eyebrows.

"You're out, George." Derek tells him making George just stare at him for a moment. He scoffs before turning and storming out of the O.R. Aurora watches him before her eyes move back to Derek.ย  "You damn well better be ready, Taylor." He sneers as he glares at the man next to him.

"I wouldn't be here if I wasn't." Taylor responds as he sits down at the anesthesiologist station. Aurora narrows her eyes at the man, it was clear that George was right but there wasn't anything that they could do. Accusing him would just get them thrown out as well since the attending on call makes the decisions.

DANIEL HEADS TOWARDS THE INTERN LOCKER ROOM, he had been trying to find Aurora all day but it seemed impossible. She was either avoiding him or she was just super busy. Which it would not be that big of a stretch since she was an intern and they always had to be doing something. He walks into the room, seeing Alex by his locker. "Hey, my sister in here?" Daniel asks as he glanced around the locker room. Alex shakes his head as he opens his locker.

"Nah, haven't seen her yet." Alex responds, not that he really cared whether or not he saw her. Daniel walks over to him, leaning against the metal.

"You all right?" He questions, seeing that Alex was a bit down. Alex just sighs but nods, looking towards Daniel.

"Yep."

"I heard about your patient." Daniel says, knowing that Alexs patient passed away earlier. Alex just shrugs his shoulders.

"It happens." He states as he brings his hands up to his face, rubbing it lightly. "It's just, he was the first guy I met out here from back home, you know?" Alex tells him and Daniel nods his head, giving a sympathetic smile.

"Yeah." He responds as he crosses his arms against his chest. "Wanna grab a drink?" Daniel asks, knowing it would probably get his mind off of everything.

"Ooh, if you're gonna drag Aurora with us, that'll be a hard pass." Alex states with a shake of his head, turning back to his locker.

"She won't be coming with us, don't worry." Daniel says with a soft chuckle, he honestly found it hilarious how Alex and Aurora fought all the time.

"Long way from you buying me beer illegally, huh?" Alex asks as he raises his eyebrows at the man who nods.

"You can say that."

"Hey, you got any cardio surgeries I can get in on?" Alex asks as he takes off his scrub shirt. Daniel just gives him a blunt expression.

"I don't just give out surgeries, Alex." He didn't give them to his sister and he wouldn't give them to Alex either unless they earned it.

"What's one surgery?" Alex questions, but he knew it was a long shot.

"Get changed." Daniel says and Alex just chuckles before turning to his locker. The door to the room opens, Aurora walking inside. She almost immediately turns around when she notices Daniel but he sees her before she can. "Hey." He says with a smile and Aurora has to force one onto her face. "I've been trying to find you all day." He tells her and she just nods her head as she walks over to her locker.

"Been busy. Surgeries, you know?" Aurora replies as she opens it, trying to use the door to hide the bruise on her face.

"Yeah.." Daniel replies, furrowing his eyebrows as he moves the door a bit. "What happened to your face?" He asks, immediately worried about what had happened.

"Nothing, just hit it." She retorts with a shrug of her shoulders, moving her hair to block her face but Daniel moves it back out of the way.

"That's a big bruise." He points out, this was why she wanted to avoid him, not just because Isaac said to but because she knew he would ask so many questions.

"I just hit it on the table, okay?" Aurora says, her tone frustrated as she grabs her clothes placing them on the bench. Alex furrows his eyebrows as he hears what she said, glancing over towards her for a minute.

"You want me to take a look at it?" Daniel asks, it looked like it hurt a lot. Aurora closes her eyes for a moment, bringing her hands up to her face.

"God, it's fine. Stop making it into a big deal."ย  She tells him, her tone sharp. Daniel raises his hands in defence.

"All right." He responds and Aurora just sighs as she brushes a hand through her hair. Her eyes move over to Alex who was watching her.

"What are you looking at, evil spawn?" She snaps as she glares at the man. Alex just looks away, going back to what he was doing but Daniel had enough of the way she was acting.

"Can you cut the attitude?" Daniel asks her and Aurora just raises an eyebrow at him, placing her hand on her hip.

"For Alex?" Aurora questions as she gestures towards the man.

"No, because I'm sick of it." He replies and she just rolls her eyes, letting out a scoff.ย  He was the reason Isaac was even mad in the first place.

"Whatever."

"Let's go." Daniel says, looking towards Alex, knowing he wasn't getting anywhere with his sister.

"Yeah, go be best bros, best friends, who gives a fuck." Aurora grumbles as she grabs her stuff before heading into the bathroom.

"What's her problem?" Alex asks, sure she's always been this way towards him but she has never really acted that way towards her brother before.

"Nothing." Daniel replies with a sigh, shaking his head.ย  "Come on." He says as he heads to the hallway. Alex glances towards the bathroom for a moment, he knew something was wrong but it was clear the woman didn't want to talk about it. Plus, if he said anything, she would just say he's an ass who doesn't really care so maybe he should just do that.

So, Alex heads out of the lockeroom, leaving Aurora alone.
