AURORA SAT ON THE COUCH, her eyes moving to Isaac ever so often. He had been quieter than usual, having not really spoken much since yesterday. She didn't know if she had done something to upset him and she just didn't realize it. Or if he was just having an off day.
"You haven't really said much since Thanksgiving." She pipes up after a moment of hesitation. Isaac just keeps his eyes on the television.

"Just had a lot to do." He bluntly responds to her. Aurora frowns, fiddling with her fingers as she sits up slightly.

"Are you sure everything's okay?" Aurora asks him, a bit worried. Isaac clenches his jaw, bringing his hand up to rub his face. He turns his head toward her and she could see the anger on his face.

"Why don't you tell me?" He retorts. Aurora blinks a few times, not knowing what he had meant.

"What?" She questions.

"What have you been saying to people?" Isaac asks her, clearly accusing her of something but she still wasn't exactly sure what.

"I'm confused." Aurora admits, shaking her head. Isaac scoffs, glancing away from her for a moment.

"Oh don't play the innocent act again." He grumbles. Aurora hated when he said that, she was never playing anything. She was just always so confused where he came up with certain stuff.

"Isaac, please if I did something wrong tell me." Aurora pleads with a sigh. She was tired of playing the guessing game. Especially since most of the time, she hadn't really done anything to him.

"What did you say to Alex?" Isaac asks her, catching her a bit off guard. Why was he talking about Alex? Aurora furrows her eyebrows, looking at him a bit confused.

"Alex?"

"He's under the impression that I hurt you." Isaac tells her making her eyes go wide. Aurora thinks back to last night. She couldve sworn she saw Alex talking to isaac for a moment. What had he said to him? "What the fuck did you say to him?" He asks, anger in his voice as he gets up from the couch.

"N-nothing." She denies, shaking her head as she gets up as well.

"Don't fucking lie to me."

"He just... h-he has seen some bruises, that's all." Aurora admits which was true. He wasn't the only one who had seen them. She tried to hide them the best she could, but sometimes it was hard.

"And what did you say?" Isaac asks him, taking a step toward her. He definitely believed that she had spilled something to Alex.

"Nothing! I told him nothing, I swear!" Aurora assures him, her heart starting to pump faster than it should. Her stomach twisting as he keeps moving closer toward her.

"You better hope he doesn't say anything." Isaac mutters, his jaw clenched. Aurora shakes her head quickly.

"He won't." She says, she would make sure of it because she didnt need this happening again. "He doesn't care, Isaac." Aurora tries to get him to see. Even if it wasnt the truth. She just needed him to calm down.

"You better be right." He responds, crossing his arms.

"I'll be more careful." Aurora says, she would make sure to not say anything about him at the hospital anymore. And if he left anymore bruises, she would cover them properly.

"You can never do anything right." Isaac mutters, shaking his head. He didn't need Alex spreading rumors around, especially in a place that Daniel works. "This is why I said I didn't want to hang around your stupid friends." He snaps a but, glaring down at her. Aurora frowns slightly.

"They just care about me." That's the only reason they asked about her. Aurora could tell they just cared. Even Alex cared and that was saying something. But she couldn't let them see what was happening. Because there really wasn't anything they could do.

"So, you admit Alex is your friend?" Isaac questions her. Aurora had realized that she hadnt specified anything.

"No, i-i never said that." She denies, shaking her head. But it was already implanted in Isaac's mind.

"That's basically what you mean."

"Can you stop putting words in my mouth?" Aurora asks him, hating how he always twisted her words and tried to make it out to seem like she was the villain in every single story.

"Well, you seem to talk to him a lot for not being your friend." Isaac points out, crossing his arms against his chest. Aurora didn't even mean for that to happen, Alex just wouldn't leave her alone no matter how many times she's asked.

"We work together." Aurora states. There's nothing more she could really say. She could tell that Isaac really didn't believe anything she said anymore.

"Oh, yeah. You've said that before." Isaac responds with a scoff leaving his lips. "Just like you worked with that guy Freddie?" He asks, raising his eyebrows. Aurora could only stare at him. Was he seriously bringing this up again?

Freddie was a guy she worked lab's with in medical school. After coming home late a few times because they wanted to finish their work and make it perfect, Isaac had accused her of cheating on him. Of course, he didn't believe her when she told him that Freddie was gay. He just thought it was yet another excuse.

"When are you going to stop bringing that up?" Aurora asks with a slight groan. This wasn't the first time Isaac had brought the man up and it certainly wouldn't be the last.

"When you start to be a girlfriend that doesn't step out on her boyfriend." Isaac accuses her. Aurora covers her face, biting the inside of her cheek.

"I've never stepped out on you."

"I'm supposed to believe that?" Isaac asks her, staring down at her. Aurora stays silent, her eyes dropping. No matter what she said, there would always be doubt in his mind and she hated it. "I'm staying with a friend tonight." He states, grabbing his jacket. Aurora frowns, trying to grab his arm.

Isaac just turns to face her, his hand going to her jaw causing her breath to hitch in her throat. "Say another word to Alex, you'll regret it, you understand me?" He threatens her, his voice low. Aurora nods her head instantly, her eyes dropping to the ground.

He just lets her go harshly, a scoff leaving his lips as he heads to the door. Auroras eyes fill with tears as she drops beside the couch. Her hand comes up to cover her mouth as she squeezes her eyes shut. She didn't know what to do. Alex was just going to keep causing problems and she couldn't have that. She couldn't have him provoking Isaac.

Because that would only anger Isaac more and Aurora was scared to even think about what might happen if it goes too far.

ALEX WAS WRITING SOMETHING DOWN IN A CHART, a sigh leaving his lips as he rests his chin in the palm of his hand. He had barely got to the hospital and was already exhausted. Mostly because of the studying he had to do while on the job and off in order to not fail his exams again. Everything was fine until someone grabbed the chart from him and harshly hit him with it.

"What the fuck?!" Alex asks, turning his head with an angry expression. He was met with Aurora who was equally pissed at him. He stares at her like she's gone completely insane.

"You have some nerve, you know that?" She questions him, glaring at the man as she hits him again with the chart. Alex grabs it from her, slamming it down on the desk.

"What are you talking about?" He responds, not understanding why she had just blatantly attacked him with no warning or reason at all.

"What did you say to Isaac?" Aurora asks, crossing her arms against her chest. Alex immediately scoffs, shaking his head. Of course Isaac had mentioned something. He didn't know if that meant he didn't care about Alex's threat, or if he wanted Aurora to be more careful around everyone now.

"The truth that you're clearly too blind to see." Alex states, shrugging his shoulders.

"Why can't you just leave everything alone?" Aurora questions, it really wasn't even any of his business.

"Because I'm not gonna just stand back and watch you get hurt." He tells her. Alex had done enough of that when he was younger. He was going to do a better job this time.

"You have no idea what's going on." Aurora denies with a shake of her head. He believed he knew what was happening but he really didn't. He just had what he perceived with the small details that he had.

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I'm spot on." Alex retorts with a scoff. It was clear what was going on, she was just trying to make it seem like it wasn't as bad as it actually was.

"You're such a fucking asshole! Just leave me and my relationship alone." Aurora tells him with a groan. She didn't even get why he cared, it wasn't his problem. They hadnt even seen each other for years before this program, he could definitely go back to pretending she didn't exist.

"Maybe when you actually dump that douchebag." Alex says, he wasn't just about to stop trying all of a sudden.

"God, you don't understand!" She shouts toward him, clenching her fists together.

"I know all about how you love him and how he fucking brainwashed you." Alex snaps at her. Anyone with a brain could figure that out. Even though half of the hospital clearly didn't have any since no one else even questioned it.

"No, you don't!" Aurora shouts toward him, causing a few more heads to turn. "Alex, you just keep making things worse." She points out. He really wasn't helping her at all, no matter how much he stated that he was.

"Well, maybe that's what needs to happen for you to realize that what you're going through isn't normal." Alex states, crossing his arms against his chest. Aurora covers her face with her hands for a moment.

"I'm not just going to leave him." She denies with a shake of her head. Alex scoffs, rolling his eyes at her.

"That's your problem right there." He tells her. The fact that she wasn't even considering it spoke the most volume. Isaac had clearly made her believe that she had to stay with him.

"Don't speak to him again." Aurora warns, not needing another altercation. Alex clenches his jaw, narrowing his eyes a bit.

"Trust me, if I do. I'll lay him out myself." Alex tells her. He was ready to punch the shit out of Isaac since he really didn't care much if anyone knew what he did. Aurora tilts her head back.

"God, Alex! You don't understand at all!"

"Then explain it to me." Alex retorts, crossing his arms against his chest. He kept saying that he didn't understand but made no effort to try and explain. "Seriously, I wanna know how you can be so delusional." He admits, not even bothering to sugar coat it anymore. In his mind, she was just allowing this to happen now.

Aurora stares at him, shaking her head.
"He'll kill me." Her voice was quiet, not really wanting the onlookers overhearing. But that was already clear to Alex. The man definitely had no problems hurting her and leaving evidence. "Just stop provoking him." Aurora pleads, just needing him to leave her alone.

But Alex had another idea. "Then leave him." He says with a shrug of his shoulders. Alex wasn't going to stop, especially when he already warned Isaac and it didn't seem like Isaac was going to heed to it.

God, he really didn't understand, no matter how much he said he did. Aurora couldn't have him screwing with Isaac. Not when she was in harms way. Did he truly believe that she didn't have a least one instance in the relationship that she thought of leaving. Of giving up on it? She did. But no matter how hard she tried, he wouldn't allow her. He told her she could never leave him.

So, she forced herself to make it work. No matter what he did, no matter what he said or how many bruises he left. Bruises were a lot better than a hospital visit with multiple broken bones. But of course he wouldn't know about that. Even Daniel didn't. Because if someone questioned it, if someone questioned him, the matter would only become that much worse.

"Just leave me the hell alone!" Aurora screams, pushing the man back and hitting his chest numerous times.

"Hey, hey!" She hears before someone was moving her away from Alex. "What is going on here?" Derek asks as he comes into view, looking back and forth between the two. But Aurora was still glaring at Alex. She moves toward him again, slapping him across the face. "Aurora, stop." Derek wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her away which she tried to fight against.

Addison and Bailey had rushed over the moment she had slapped Alex. "Stop!" Derek demands, holding her tightly until Aurora stopped thrashing around. Alex had an angered expression on his face.

"Karev, walk away." Bailey tells him, not needing him to escalate the situation even more.

"But she--" Alex goes to complain, gesturing toward Aurora but Bailey cuts him off.

"Go." Bailey demands, pointing her finger. Alex just clenches his jaw before scoffing and walking off. She then turns to Aurora who had pushed Derek off of her by then. "Aurora, what do you think you're doing?" She asks, crossing her arms against her chest.

Aurora just glances away from them.
"Nothing. It's fine." She mumbles, not really wanting to talk about it. Addison sighs as she shares a glance with Bailey and Derek before taking a step forward.

"Let's just get some air, calm down a bit." Addison suggests, trying to take Auroras arm but she rips it from the woman's grasp.

"I'm calm!" Her voice was loud, drawing many eyes in their direction once again. Aurora takes a deep breath before storming off. They all just watched her leave, mainly confused as to what had just happened.

"You have any idea what that was about?" Derek asks, flickering his eyes between the two women. Addison shajes her head, placing her hands on her hips.

"I have a few guesses." Bailey mumbles, shaking her head. Derek looks at her curiously but the woman just walks away. Addison frowns as she meets Derek's gaze. The man sighs as he rubs his face before starting to head down the hall, Addison reluctantly following behind.

AURORA WAS ON THE BENCH NEXT TO CRISTINA AND MEREDITH. She wasnt really listening to what they said as she stared off toward the coffee cart. Her mind was just reeling from her argument with Alex. He really didnt understand what went through her head. Aurora had to love him, she had to just deal with what he did to her. Because the alternative wasn't something she wanted to have to go through again.

She feels a nudge on her arm. Aurora looks over, seeing Cristina staring at her. "I heard you attacked Alex. Did he do something to deserve it?" She asks, a smirk on her lips. Cristina would have loved to see it but she had to hear it from Bailey. Who knew the woman was such a gossip.

"Doesn't he always?" Meredith adds with a small laugh. Cristina laughs as well, but stops when she sees the distant look on Auroras face. She furrows her eyebrows as she places her hand on the womans arm.

"Hey, you good?" Cristina questions, a bit concerned. Aurora nods her head, putting a smile onto her face.

"Yeah." She assures them, not wanting to worry them. "He's just an ass." Aurora states which causes Cristina to scoff as she nods her head in agreement.

"Preach." Cristina mumbles, shaking her head. Alex always had a way of getting underneath everyone's skin.

"They always look so sad when I kick them out." Meredith tells them, scrunching up her nose.

"What are we talking about?" Aurora asks, deciding to finally join their conversation.

"Merediths one night stands." Cristina answers and Aurora nods her head.

"Seriously, why do guys not understand that when you pick them up in a bar and take them home for sex that there are no picket fences or kids in your future?" She asks, crossing her arms against her chest. Cristina was silent as she pulled something out of her pocket.

Aurora just watches until she notices that it was a key. "Burke keyed you?" Meredith asks her, raising an eyebrow at her. Cristina scoffs as she places it on her leg.

"I got freaking keyed before coffee." She mumbles with a roll of her eyes. Aurora was surprised that Burke had made a move like that already.

"He's moving pretty fast." Aurora points out. Cristina meets her gaze, narrowing her eyes.

"You're telling me?" Cristina retorts. Aurora just smiles, looking down at her hands. Meredith shakes her head.

"Oh, what is wrong with them?" She asks, wondering what men nowadays were actually thinking.

"They're like these 1950s debutantes. One dance and there's a shotgun to your head." Cristina states, taking a sip of her coffee as she rolls her eyes a little bit.

"Meredith?" They hear someone ask causing them all to look up. "You work here?" A man asks them, looking directly at Meredith. Aurora furrows her eyebrows, wondering who it was and how he knew Meredith.

"What are you doing here, Steve?" She questions, clearly shocked to see him. Steve just rubs the back of his neck, his jacket placed in front of him.

"I'm having a little problem." He admits, staring down at her.

"Steve, Steve?" Cristina asks lowly, looking at Meredith. Aurora was confused as she leans over toward them.

"Who's Steve?" Aurora asks, not knowing who he was exactly.

"From last night." Cristina answers her and Aurora raises her eyebrows. She nods her head, looking back toward this Steve.

"Actually, I'm having a big problem." Steve tells them before moving his jacket in order to show the problem he was having.

"Steve, hi, Cristina." She introduced with a smirk on her face as her eyes move up to him. Aurora then sees exactly what the other two were.

"Oh... wow." Aurora mutters out since it was the only thing that came to mind. Her eyes slowly move over to Cristina, sharing a look with her.

"Ever since you and I.... it won't go away." Steve admits as he clears his throat a bit. Meredith notices that both Cristina and Aurora were just staring at it.

"Guys!" She scolds, glaring toward them. Cristina shrugs her shoulders, holding her hand out.

"What? It's right there looking at me." Cristina points out. She couldn't really not look when it was right there in front of them.

"It's definitely something." Aurora adds with a nod of her head, trying to stop the laugh from leaving her lips.

"Oh, there is so many things I could say right now." Cristina admits as she brings her coffee back up to her lips, clearing her throat, her hand patting Merediths shoulder. "Champ." She mumbles.

"This just cheered me up so much." Aurora admits with a smirk on her lips, tilting her head. Meredith glares over at her. Aurora just lets out a laugh as she stands up, sending Meredith a thumbs up before walking back into the hospital.

SEEING DEREK STOOD NEAR THE O.R BOARD, Aurora walks over to him, hoping to get onto a surgery. She really just wanted to take her mind off of everything. "Doctor Shepherd." She says as she stops beside the man. Derek glances toward her, his eyes running over her for a second.

"Aurora, hey." He responds, glancing around. "You doing okay now?" Derek asks her, wondering if she had calmed down from her little freak out at Alex.

"Do you have a case I can be on?" Aurora asks him, not really wanting to reminisce on something she was trying to forget.

"Yeah, I'm doing good. How are you, Doctor Shepherd? Oh, I'm fine too." Derek says with a sarcastic tone while she just stares at him. "See how a conversation works." He teases her with a small smile on his face. Aurora places a hand on her hip.

"I'm fine. Do you have a case?" Aurora asks once again, becoming impatient.

"I do." Derek answers her. Aurora was immediately relieved, opening her mouth to say something but he cuts her off. "Karev is on it though." He says, not wanting to get her hopes up too much. She groans, an annoyed expression forming.

"Do you have any others?" Aurora questions, wanting something that would mean she didn't have to spend her whole day around Alex.

"I have one of Addisons quints." Derek admits, referring to the pregnant patient that had just arrived to Seattle Grace.

"Great, can I be on that?" She asks him, clasping her hands together.

"You sure you can handle it?" He asks, not wanting to put her on it if she wasn't fully here and nothing was happening in her head.

"I'm always steady handed in surgery." Aurora points out, holding her hands out in front of her.

"Okay, but if I see that you're not able to be in the O.R. I'll send you out." Derek responds and she nods her head, she just couldn't wait to be in a surgery.

"Okay. Page me when it's time." Aurora says, about to walk away but Derek stops her.

"Wow, just came to poach a surgery." He says, acting offended as he places his hand on his chest. Aurora raises an eyebrow at him.

"Was there something else you needed?" She asks him, just staring at the man. Derek glances around, clearing his throat a little bit.

"Meredith's date is here." Derek tells her. Aurora was silent for a moment, knowing exactly who he was referring to. The question was, how did he know about it?

"Oh." She says bluntly, biting the inside of her cheek. "How did you know about that?" Aurora asks him. She could see the hesitancy in Derek's eyes.

"It's neuro." He says, a somewhat sour look on his face. Auroras eyes couldn't help but widen slightly.

"It is." Aurora responds, she hadn't known that it had turned into a neuro case. She tried to press her lips together tightly to stop herself from laughing but it slipped out. She covers her mouth quickly.ย  "I'm sorry. It's not funny." She denies, shaking her head.

Derek was just staring at her, narrowing her eyes as she once again just starts to laugh. "It's a little funny." Aurora corrects herself. She wouldve paid so much to see that exact moment. It must have been so embarrassing for Meredith.

"You knew about it." Derek says. It seemed Aurora already knew about Meredith's one night stand in the hospital.

"Well, duh." Aurora responds with a roll of her eyes. "Good job for doing the consult, I salute you." She jokes, performing a fake salute before laughing again.

"You know you can't make fun of me." Derek scolds, not really being serious but if it was anyone else, he probably wouldn't be so lenient.

"Yeah, I can. I just did." Aurora points out with a shrug of her shoulders.

"Most interns wouldn't get away with any of this." Derek tells her with a sigh, tilting his head. Auroras eyes lighten up, a gasp leaving her lips.

"Is this your way of saying I'm your favourite?" Aurora asks him with a growing smirk. She could see that Derek instantly regretted his choice of words. "You cannot take it back now." She denies, starting to back up and turning away before he could really answer. "I'll see you in surgery!" She shouts at him, happily walking down the hall.

Derek shakes his head, a small smile on his face as he chuckles, his gaze going back to the board in front of him.

DANIEL OPENS HIS DOOR AFTER HEARING A KNOCK. He was met by Aurora who just had her bag in her hand. Daniel furrows his eyebrows as he didnt realize she was coming over. She hadnt texted him or anything. "Hey." He says cautiously, wondering if there was something she needed from him. Usually that's what it was when she showed up unannounced.

"Hi." Aurora responds before pushing her way into the apartment. "Do you have tequila? Or literally any hard liquor, I am in a deep need to get drunk." She admits with a sigh as she places her hands on her hips after dropping her bag on the chair. Aurora stops when she notices that Daniel hadn't been alone. "Oh, hello?" She says as she notices the man standing near the kitchen.

"Uh, Aurora. You remember me saying Mark was coming to Seattle." Daniel tells her as he closes the door, walking over to her. Aurora furrows her eyebrows for a second, racking her brain to remember.

"Mark?" She asks him, looking at her brother. It suddenly hit her. Mark was Mark. As in the Mark who had caused Derek and Addison to separate.ย  "Oh! Mark." Aurora says, her eyes widening a bit. Mark chuckles as he walks toward the woman.

"I guess I don't need to introduce myself." Mark jokes, tilting his head. Aurora smiles politely, glancing in his direction.

"This is my sister Aurora." Daniel introduces and Aurora holds her hand out toward the man.

"It's nice to meet you." Aurora admits, clearing her throat a bit. Mark shakes it, a smirk on his face as his gaze was on hers. She didn't know why she felt her stomach twist with butterflies just from him looking at her.

"You're much more beautiful than he described." Mark flirts, sending her a wink. Aurora's eyes widen as a blush forms on her cheeks. But she was more surprised that he was so open about it when Daniel was right there.

It seemed Daniel wasn't too pleased with the fact Mark had flirted with her less than two seconds after meeting her.
"I did not describe her to you and careful." Daniel warns him, sending the man a glare. "Besides she has a ... boyfriend." He says reluctantly, honestly anyone would be better than Isaac.

"That's too bad." Mark responds, staring over at Aurora. Aurora presses her lips together tightly, moving her gaze to the floor.

"I actually have to get to the hospital, I'm on call." Daniel says as he looks at his sister. But she didn't care if he was leaving, she was staying nonetheless.

"I don't care. You have liquor?" Aurora asks him, wondering if he had ever had time to get any. Luckily he nods his head so she didn't have to go out and get some herself.

"Top cupboard." He tells her and she lets our a sigh of relief.

"I love you." Aurora says as she places a kiss on his cheek. Daniel rolls his eyes, pushing her away from him.

"Yeah, yeah." He mumbles, watching as she went to the kitchen. Daniel moves his eyes over toward Mark. "You don't mind?" Daniel asks. He had mentioned that Aurora was going to be around but it didn't seem to be a problem for Mark.

"No, I'll keep her company." Mark assures him. Daniel only stares at him for a second. He knew who Mark was, especially his reputation with women.

"Mark, watch yourself." Daniel warns him. He was not about to allow Mark to think he had a shot with his sister.

"Hey, I'll be perfectly polite." Mark tells him, holding his hands up in defense. It seemed that only made Daniel even more wary of him. That wasn't what he was worried about.

"Mhm." Daniel hums, biting the inside of his cheek. He glances over toward his sister for a second before heading out of the apartment. Mark immediately goes over to where Aurora was standing, pouring some liquor into the glass in front of her.

"So, why did Daniel seem disgruntled when he said you had a boyfriend?" Mark asks, resting his hands on the counter as he stared at her. Aurora just grabs another glass, placing it on the counter.

"They don't get along." Aurora responds, shrugging her shoulders.

"There a specific reason?" He questions. Aurora tensed slightly, biting her tongue. She didn't really want to talk about it, especially with a stranger.

"So, you're a plastic surgeon." Aurora says, changing the subject. Mark nods his head as he watched her pour liquor into the other empty glass.

"The go to one on the east coast." Mark responds, watching as she slides one of the glasses over to him.

"Good for you." Aurora responds, not really caring. She just didn't want him to gloat about it. That's all top notch surgeons did. Mark takes the glass that she had pushed in his direction.

"What about you?" Mark asks, drinking from the glass as he stares down at her. Aurora presses her lips together.

"Intern." She answers him. Mark raises an eyebrow, smirking.

"Oh, a newbie." He teases her. Aurora just places a hand on her hip, not needing him to make fun of her.

"I'm very good, thank you very much." Aurora tells him. Mark looks over her for a moment.

"I don't doubt it." Mark responds, sending her a slight wink. Aurora blushes lightly, looking away from him. She clears her throat, filling her glass more.

"Are you really Derek's best friend?" She asks, wanting to ask the question that was racking in her brain since Daniel had mentioned it. Aurora couldn't ask Derek because that would be awkward.

Marks jaw clenched. "Daniel mentioned that." He was seriously going to kill that man.

"Oh, yeah." Aurora replies with a laugh. How could he not? It was definitely something to know, especially with him having come to Seattle of all places.

"Uh, yeah I am." Mark responds, although he wouldn't exactly call them that anymore. Derek hated his guts and Addison had left him.

"Whyd you sleep with Addison?" She asks, seemingly out of pocket but she didnt care. "Don't get me wrong, she's hot. But sleeping with you best friends wife? Low blow." Aurora states, finishing off her drink before pouring more alcohol into her glass.

"I didn't come to Seattle to be judged." Mark admits in a teasing tone, pointing his finger at her. Aurora just bites her bottom lip as she tilts her head, brushing her hair over her shoulder.

"Oh, so you came to the same state where your ex best friend and ex sex buddy live for what reason?" Aurora taunts him, narrowing her eyes in a playful manner. Mark could only chuckle as he brought his glass to his lips.

"I came to visit an old friend." Mark answers her. Aurora snorts, rolling her eyes a little bit.

"Mhm. Right." She hums, not really believing him in the slightest. Mark just finishes his drink, leaning on the counter beside her.

"What speciality are you leaning toward?" Mark asks her curiously, changing the subject once again. It seemed that was both of them did when wanting avoid something.

"Neuro." She answers him, staring at the man. "Derek and I are friends." That wasn't really true. She wouldn't really call them friends but she mainly just wanted to mess around with Mark and see what his reaction would be.

"I see." Mark responds, a small sigh leaving his lips before he tilts his head. "So, we can't be friends then?" He asks, raising an eyebrow as a small smirk forms on his lips.

"Depends." Aurora admits with a shrug of her shoulders.

"On what?"

"If I like you." She tells him. Mark chuckles lowly as he takes a step toward her, his body towering over her as he gazed down at the woman.

"Ladies love me." Mark points out, moving closer to her. Aurora just smirks at him, tilting her head as she narrows her eyes a little bit. She saw his cocky personality and how clearly he was a ladies man. That would definitely be a fun thing to toy with.

"We'll see about that."
