IDOL LIFE
She auditioned for hybe, yg and wakeone and got accepted in all but decided to go with wakeone since she knew I-land 2 would take place not long after auditions. She was desperate to debut and in the end she won 7th place and made her way into NEWTOPIA along her teammates; Hayashi Fuko, Tomioka Mai, Bang Jeemin, Yoon Jiyoon, Wong Lingling, Son Juwon, Kim Sujung and Narai Koko.

She got the maknae, lead dancer, lead vocal and visual positions and her stage name is Rua. In dorms she share a room with Mai, Jeemin and Juwon and they like to call themselves « visualz ».

BACKSTORY;
She was born in Nagoya, Japan and is the youngest in the family, she follows her 3 brothers being the only girl. Her family was relatively poor but always supportive that's why Haruka wanted to make them proud by having good grades and at first she wanted to become a doctor. She risked everything at 14/15 to become an idol and during iland 2 her desperation to win and support her family could be felt even behind the tv. When she won and started receiving paychecks, she gave 50% of it to her family in Nagoya to help them have a better life back in Japan.
