HER HEART ACHED AS SHE SAW

the ship leave the island. The night was cold and the waves were acting up a bit too much. Hitting the shore and retreating back, her eyes were swollen and her mind made her look at the deep sea with some really intrusive thoughts.

She took a step forward but was too scared to actually do it and that made cry even harder. "That fucker!" She cursed between her cries. She sat there alone hoping the ship would return, the ship whose captain was her boyfriend now ex...

They were in a relationship for three years and for the past one year he had been cheating on her with one of his crew members and she was completely unaware about it until today.

"Atleast give me an explanation!!" She heard someone shout and turned her attention towards the couple fighting and having an argument.

"I just don't want to continue the relationship any further." The girl said.

"But why?"

"Let's just end it here and go out separate ways" she stated and walked away with the guy trying to call her but was completely ignored.

Relationships are the worst

She thought to herself and got up, making her way to one of the nearby bars. A bottle of booze was all she needed to calm herself down.

"One bottle of booze please" she order and sat on the barstool, resting her head down on the counter and waiting patiently for her drink.

The moment she closed her eyes, she would get flashbacks about him and that only made her sadder. "Here you go ma'am" the bartender said and she sat upright.

"One for me too" she heard a guy's voice and looked at him only to realise that he was the same guy whom she just saw having a breakup. Before it wasn't clear but now that she was looking at him up close. He was really attractive.

The guy sat on the seat next to her and banged his head on the counter which scared the shit out of her and she spat the drink out of her mouth while coughing. She quickly grabbed a tissue and wiped her mouth.

"He- hey?" She spoke up but he didn't respond. She lightly tapped his shoulder and tried again "Hey?" This time he looked at her. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah" he answered and took a hold of her glass "wait, that's mine" she said and he shrugged "the bartender's taking a lot of time to come"

"That's not the point. I drank from it" she stated.

"So what? I still see booze in this" he said and drank the rest of the contents from the glass. And while he was drinking she couldn't help but look at his features. His jawline, his neck and his messy hair.

"Here you go sir" the bartender came with a bottle and a glass.

"Thank youu" the guy said and handed the new glass to her. "I drank from yours so you can have the cleaner one"

"Oh- thanks"

She poured herself another glass "I saw you outside."

"Hm?"

"You and your girlfriend"

Sabo put down his glass and ran his fingers through his hair with frustration "Ah- well, can't do anything about it. I don't feel like I should be going after her. She didn't look like she cared so yeah... It is what is it"

"I see" Y/N mumbled and drank the booze when she felt the guy staring at her. "Your eyes look swollen" he said and caressed her eyes lightly wiping the tears she had. "Were you crying? Was it a similar situation?"

She lightly nodded "yeah... but I was cheated on and he was doing it for a year."

"Do pretty people like you get cheated on too"

Y/N laughed at his remark "I'm not that pretty"

"Yes you are" he chuckled

"Shut up"

The two then continued to talk for the rest of night while drinking and laughing with eachother despite being complete strangers and having no idea about eachother's backgrounds. It was just a person they met when they were at their low.

"So your name's Sabo" She mumbled in her drunk voice. "what do you plan on doing now?" She asked while looking in his eyes. The seats they were sitting was now much more closer than it was before and it was something that they themselves were not aware of.

"Um, nothing"

"Wanna spend the night together?" She asked and silence filled the air. "Fuck! You fucking dumbass" She thought and then laughed out "just kidd-"

"Where?"

Her eyes widened at his question. By his expressions she could tell that he was being serious about it. "At- at my house?"

"You sure?" He asked and she just nodded without breaking the eye contact and gulping. She asked him that question impulsively but she didn't want to go back on her words either.

He caressed her waist from underneath her top and travelled to her back pulling her closer while they stayed against the wall "You really sure?" He asked her again whispering in her ear which only made her want more of him "yes"

That consent was the final thing he needed before he captured her lips and removed her top which was just a irrelevant piece of clothing. He grabbed a fistful of her hair and tugged it lightly exposing her neck to him.

She couldn't help but let out a small moan when his lips came in contact with her neck, nibbling and sucking on it. He gently picked her up and walked over to the bed while she unbuttoned some of the buttons from his perfectly fitted shirt.

He put her down on the mattress and looked at her with a slightly flustered face and sweat dripping down.

Sabo sat next to her and held her hands while he rubbed her knuckles with his thumb "What now?"

"I don't know"

"Round two?" He joked and she smacked his arm which made him laugh and engulf her in a hug. She was hesitant at first because the hug felt warm and loving and she wasn't sure what they were for eachother but those thoughts didn't matter right now as she rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him.

"Thanks" she mumbled.

"For what?"

"For making me feel loved"

He snuggled and lightly brushed his lips on the side of her neck "how about you give me the chance to make you feel loved for the rest of your life?"

A smile formed on her lips "well, I guess you are worth gambling my heart for"
