they came from money, like it was woven into their dna. they were renowned amongst the other elite, high society families of hartford, connecticut. almost everyone knew who they were, or at the very least the name.

and the name carried some weight, and at times it was unbearable.

if there was an event, they were there. at parties, they were almost always front and center, the talk of that town. nothing happened without them having a hand in it.

they were just that important, very high class.

the elite of the elite.

and sullivan vanderbilt was their shining star, the brightest of them all. she was a beautiful, intelligent girl with a bright smile and an even brighter future.

she was going places. she was gonna set the world on fire, in a good way. she was gonna blaze trails and bring only good things to the vanderbilt name...

but things change.

sullivan, though smart, made mistakes and the biggest - though she'd tell you it wasn't a mistake, that it was the greatest thing that happened to her - was getting pregnant at sixteen.

her parents were furious, so furious that they disowned her. said she had brought shame to their name and their standing in society. that she had dismissed their reputation by doing the most unthinkable, and disgraceful of things.

heartbroken, scared, and pregnant, sullivan turned to one of the only people she trusted - rory gilmore.

rory took sullivan home to stars hollow with her, and lorelai immediately gave the girl a home and warm food. and the love she was deprived of the minute she uttered the words 'i'm pregnant' to her stone-faced — and hearted — parents.

four years later, sullivan - now going only by sully, is starting her second year of college with her best friends, rory gilmore and sebastian dupont. and her, almost, four-year-old daughter, jane vanderbilt.

after weeks of going back and fourth, and with a little push from my best friend, i've decided to write this book.

honestly, it's so near and dear to my heart that i don't think i could've let it go anyway. i've had this idea floating around for years, and i mean, like, five years.

it's always been at the back of my mind, and i'm finally writing it because it deserves to see the light of day.

yes, this is the plot that i had up in my plot shop and yes, i have changed the title ( with help from my best friend ) but i think this title fits perfectly! also, it's better than four previous titles i went through lol

also, i'm a huge logan fan! thus this plot was born!

also, this plot will include a child, she's four. if that's not your cup of tea, please just dip out now. there's no need for you to read it then complain about the kid, capeesh?

i will not tolerate rude comments, constructive criticism is one thing, but you're rude just for the hell if it i will delete your comment and block you <3

this book and my true blood fic, death wish love, are gonna be my main priority in the coming months. these two books will have most of my attention as i prewrite and edit chapters so i can publish on a decent schedule.

that being said, i don't plan to update this book until at the end of February maybe even into the beginning of March ( this may change depending on how many chapters i have prewritten and how my mental health goes )

keep in mind that i am also looking for a job, so if / when i get one, my time here will be limited but i'll still work on these books as much as possible.

also, i know this says it starts in season five, but it actually starts at the very end of season four but just the very last episode as it leads into season five. that being said, logan won't make an appearance until a few chapters in as i want to establish sully's relationships with her friends, the town's people, and jane.
