❝you have a problem with a bisexual shadowhunter?❞
A knock at my room startled me awake. I wasn't asleep for long, but I was glad to get as much sleep as I could. "Come in!"
I rub my eyes as the door opens, only to see Izzy walk in, "Alec, Jace and I are about to head out on a mission, want to join?"
"Sure, why not? I wasn't just peacefully sleep after hours of traveling." I sarcastically say, and stand up from my bed and walk to my dresser, where I put all my clothes.
"I missed your sarcasm, Stiles." She laughed, "Now come on. We'll be in the main room." I nod and she leaves, letting me change into a pair of black jeans and a black shirt.
I really miss my dark clothes. I always wore hoodies or flannels, so being back in my old clothes is great. I grab my jacket and walk out into the hall, seeing Alec and Izzy up ahead. Alec was wearing black as usually, but Izzy wore a white tight two piece out, holding a white wig in her hands.
"Wait up!" I call and they both stop and look at me. Izzy waits, but Alec kept walking, making me frown.
"I didn't know you were joining us." Alec said loudly, glaring at Izzy, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I thought you'd like Stiles to tag along to our group mission, Alec." He turned back around and continued to walk ahead.
I didn't want to say anything, so I just turn to Izzy. "You look seductive."
"What can I say? Demons dig blondes."'Izzy smiled, as we continued walking.
Alec nodded in agreement, "Of course they do, but that's white."
"Platinum." Izzy and I say in unison. "And they don't exactly like Shakespeare, okay, Alec?" Izzy concludes.
"You're plenty distracting on your own, Iz." Alec says and she rolls her eyes, running her hand through her wig, her heels clicking through the halls.
"So, be yourself. Is that what you're trying to say?" I wonder, smirking as he sighed and shook his head.
"Never mind. Looking good, let's go." Alec said, finishing the conversation as we trudge down the stairs and towards Jace.
"We're ready, Jace." Izzy said, continuing to groom the wig.
Jace smirked at her, "Nice choice, Izzy. Demons dig blondes."
Iz looked at Alec and grinned, "Told you."
Alec only rolled his eyes and grunted, "It's platinum."
"I thought it was white, captain obvious." I smirked and rolled his eyes, "So what's the mission?" I asked, "Anything about the demon?" Alec kept quiet, with a sour face, and Izzy was focused on her wig, so Jace spoke up.
"For some reason our demon friends are killing mundanes and draining them of blood." Jace responded and I nodded.
"Why do they want blood?" Alec asked and I piped up, as we walked towards the arsenal.
"Isn't that vampire territory?" Alec looks my way, aggravation shown clearly on his face. I'm already used to him like that. He was always moody and had a resting bitch face.
"I don't know, guys. Lazy vampires, maybe?" Jace assumes as we grab our weapons.
"There must be something special about their blood." I state, taking the seraph blade in my hand. My hands run along the blade, watching as it glowed.
"What could be special about mundane blood?" Alec asked, taking a blade, along with Izzy. I also grab my daggers, placing them in my boots, making them fit comfortably. I guess I could say what's so special about mundane blood, since I was pretending to be one for five years.
While I was there, my dad and I chose to be normal, so he was the sheriff and I was a very sarcastic kid who had no clue on how to fight.
"You get me a sample and I'll tell you exactly what they're looking for." Izzy rejoined in the conversation.
"We'll have more answers when we figure out exactly who the demons are working for." Jace said and we walked back towards the big screen.
"So, you don't think they're acting on their own?" I asked and Jace shrugged.
"No."
"They're not exactly creative thinkers, they're shapeshifters." Alec responded, going towards the software.
"This is what our target looks like." On the big screen was a Chinese man that seemed to be pretty innocent to any mundane, but to a shadowhunter, he's a vicious demon who's set to kill.
"For now. If he's a shapeshifter, we have to be alert." I announce and they nod.
"Great. I'll get approval for the mission." Alec said, about to walk off, but I stopped him by grabbing his arm, though not even a millisecond later, I let go just by the look on his face. Not fond of touching. Good to know.
"Come on, Alec. By the time you've sent that message, we'll have killed six demons." Jace claimed and I nod my head.
"Besides, it's more fun to break the rules than to follow them." I smirk and Izzy did the same as we trotted off, "Now can we get this mission on the road or not?"
//
We soon make it towards the Pandemonium, walking with our seraph blades attached to our hips. Izzy walked beside me and Alec was on my other side, shifting uncomfortably every time I glanced at him.
I've been in love with Alec since I understood the term love. And I know it might seem like Alec is cold, but growing up with him, you learn to see he isn't always like that. But I guess since I'm here, he is.
"I love how we're doing this again, a group mission, like old times." I smiled and everyone else smiled except Alec.
"We always did group missions. You just were never there, seeing as you left." Alec sneered and I stop in a halt.
"You are just like Derek." I say absentmindedly, not even taking in consideration that he doesn't know who Derek is.
They all stop and look back at me, "Who the hell is Derek?" Alec asked, sort of angrily and I run my hands through my hair, not wanting answer him.
"He's nobody. Let's just go." I push through them and keep walking. Derek was my werewolf boyfriend back in Beacon Hills, but we sort of broke it off when I decided to move back over here.
We continued to walk, though I didn't wait on the other. It sounds stupid, but discussing a former boyfriend with my current and long-term crush is weird and uneasy. And it's obvious Alec isn't excited to hear about my time in Beacon Hills, so just saying that I was happy and with a boyfriend doesn't seem right.
My eyes lock on the shape shifter, walking into a secluded room, realizing that Jace, Izzy, and Alec were close behind. When we all make it to the room, the curtains close behind.
"Izzy." Jace called out and Izzy walked passed me and to the a stand, taking off her trench coat and her platinum wig.
The club music was loud enough, so Izzy swayed her hips distracting the demons. Jace went over to the shapeshifter, talking to it while I stayed in the back with Alec, waiting for my cue.
"So, who's Derek?" Alec asked me, and I squirm slightly.
"Someone." I simply say.
"Just someone?" Alec raised an eyebrow, looking at me.
"Yup, just someone. And I don't understand why you're suddenly interested." I retorted, holding onto to the seraph blade.
"Trust me I'm not. I would just want to know what you did for past five years." Alec included and I nod slowly.
"Well, I've been busy." I respond, "And for your information, Derek is my ex boyfriend."
"You had a boyfriend?" Alec asked, a surprised look on his face.
"What's so surprising about me having a boyfriend?"
"Nothing. I didn't think you were gay." Alec choked out, and I stare at him, baffled.
"One, I'm bisexual, and two, why would you think that?" I wondered, but he kept quiet, so I pressed my lips into a thin line, "You have a problem with a bisexual shadowhunter?"
"I-I didn't say that." He stammered and I rolled my eyes, pulling out my blade.
"Watch out!" I hear someone scream and I watch a redhead push the demon out of Jace's way.
I turn slightly to face Alec,"Whatever, Alexander." I walk away and leave him standing where he was.
