After the audition process, the girls are all directed to their dorms. The rooms each hold up to four people, but some only contain three for now. Tired from the long day of auditions, the trainees immediately fall asleep in their beds after greeting their roommates.

At promptly six in the morning, an alarm begins to play in all the rooms as their first rehearsals will begin shortly, and being late would do them no favors with the mentors.

[Room One]

Bae Sooyoung (CUBE // C): Everyone~ we have to get up now... unless you don't want to eat before practice.

Kim Herin (SM // C): It's too early for this... if the sun is not up, I should not be awake.

Lee Somin pulls open the curtains to their room, revealing a pink sunrise in the distance.

Kim Herin (SM // C): Ugh... *she pulls herself off the top bunk*

Bae Sooyoung opens up the closet to reveal three green C class shirts.

Lee Somin (IND // C): I don't think green suits me very much... but it's better than grey I guess.

Kim Herin (SM // C): *turns the shirt around to reveal the large C* It's no A, but it'll do.

[Room Two]

Yang Li Mei (Yuehua // C): Just 5 more minutes mom...

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): Did she just call me mom?

Jung Yena (JYP // C): Isn't she older than both of us?

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): Yeah... but we still have to get her up somehow.

Jung Yena (JYP // C): *pulls out her water bottle* Do you think the staff will be mad if we douse the sheets?

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): We can just tell them it was an emergency

Yena pours the water on Li Mei, which causes her to get up instantly.

Yang Li Mei (Yuehua // C): What the heck??

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): *tosses her a green shirt* Come on! We're going to be late!

[Room Three]

Meanwhile, there is a lot of noise coming from room number three. All four trainees are dancing to the wake up music and singing along.

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): Pick me, pick me, pick me up!

As the song approaches the dance break, it's as if the staff can anticipate what's coming and the music shuts off.

Shin Eunjin (IND // B): Hey! What happened to the song?

Kwon Choonchee (Yuehua // B): *checks the clock* Oh no we're going to be late!

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): *runs over to the closet to distribute shirts* Orange? That's like, my worst color...

Kwon Choonchee (Yuehua // B): Who thought this color would look nice on anyone?

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): It's probably an incentive to try and get into A class...

Shin Eunjin (IND // B): We can theorize later... if we don't go now we really will be late!

[Room Four]

In direct contrast with room three, room four is dead silent. All four girls are able to sleep right through the loud sound coming from their neighbors and of the music. It takes a staff member knocking on the door loudly for the first girl to wake up.

Kim Sora (JYP // B): Coming! I'm coming!

??? (Staff Member): Excuse me, you four have 15 minutes before practice starts...

Kim Sora (JYP // B): *her eyes widen and she nods before shutting the door loudly* Yah!! Everyone get up now!

Bae Chowon (IND // B): Why are you yelling???

Kim Sora (JYP // B): We have fifteen minutes before practice starts! Get up! Get up!

Chowon immediately goes to wake up Hayun, who does her best to ignore her, but once the blanket gets pulled away she makes her way off the bunk. Charlotte wakes up because of the noises of the others and the four rush out of the dorm quickly after changing.

[Room Five]

These three A class trainees are also wide awake as Seohyun leads them in warm up exercise.

Choi Seohyun (IND // A): One... two... three... work harder! Don't tell me you can only do three! Travaille! Travaille!

Kang Hyunjin (SM // A): But Scarlette unnie I'm tired...

Lee Chaerin (BigHit // A): I think if I do any more push ups I'm going to collapse...

Kang Hyunjin (SM // A): Oh would you look at the time? I guess we need to get ready now.

Choi Seohyun (IND // A): *sighs* Fine! But remember that you asked for my help~

Lee Chaerin (BigHit // A): *holding her pink jacket to her chest* Isn't the color just so pretty? It even smells nice...

Kang Hyunjin (SM // A): Umm... it just smells like a shirt to me...

Choi Seohyun (IND // A): It's the smell of hard work... I'm never letting this shirt go.

Kang Hyunjin (SM // A): You weirdos... come on, we have to go.

[Room Six]

Two of the A class trainees are still asleep, while the third is wide awake and already tidying up the dorm room. Humming along to the tune of "Pick Me" Yulhee has already laid out each of the pink shirts, though she has already changed into her own.

Roth Yulhee (SM // A): Alright you two... It's been long enough. Time to get up!

Nakamura Misae (JYP // A): What if I just didn't go to practice today...

Roth Yulhee (SM // A): Do you really want to do that?

Nakamura Misae (JYP // A): No...

Roh Yulhee (SM // A): And you Miss Athena~ do you have plans on getting up either?

Park Athena (PLEDIS // A): ...yes?

Roh Yulhee (SM // A): Then what are you waiting for?

The two scramble out of bed and change quickly. After Misae changes she does a runway walk down the center of the room.

Park Athena (PLEDIS // A): Yes! Work it Misae! Pink is definitely your color~

[B Class Training Studio]

Four of the B class trainees have already arrived to the studio, sitting in a circle chatting. Bae Chowon is the first one to run in of the final four.

Bae Chowon (IND // B): Ah.. sorry.. so sorry...

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): Don't worry~ mentors haven't come yet.

Shin Eunjin (IND // B): Come join the warm up circle!

Kim Sora (JYP // B): So what do you think of the orange?

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): Well it's no pink but honestly, it's growing on me.

Kwon Choonchee (Yuehua // B): I think it's kind of cute, it matches my hair.

Ashbourne Charlotte (SM // B): It totally does! It's almost like they planned this~

Kwon Choonchee (Yuehua // B): Nah... I don't think so... just luck.

There's a knock on the door and the entire room goes silent. Which mentor would come to work with them first?

Kim Chungha (Dance Mentor): Hi everyone! 

The eight girls stand immediately and bow to her.

Kim Chungha (Dance Mentor): Alright, we're going to work on the dance first.

The girls work on the dance for the next hour, each learning at various paces.

Kim Chungha (Dance Mentor): This time, i'll watch you perform, so let's see what you've got.

The girls line up nervously and begin dancing from the dance break.

Kim Chungha (Dance Mentor):  Sora~ you need sharper moves. Eunjin, your timing is off. Choonchee we've been working on this for an hour and you're still missing steps. Come on... let's go again from the top.

Continuing to practice the dance leads to limited success until Chungha has to leave to go work with more of the trainees.

Hwang Hayun (IND // B): This is hopeless... i'm never going to get this.

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): Don't say that... even though Chungha sunbaenim is gone we can still practice.

Bae Chowon (IND // ?): We don't have vocal practice for another few hours... we can definitely improve by then.

Ashbourne Charlotte (SM // B): Okay... does anyone know the counts well enough to go over the dance break with me?

Shin Eunjin (IND // B): I do~ here, i'll show you.

[A Class Training Studio]

Jeon Jungkook (Vocal Mentor): Ayo~ hey everyone~ ready to begin?

[INTERVIEW]

Lee Chaerin (BigHit // A): Our vocal mentor is Jeon Jungkook??? What if i do badly? What if my voice cracks?? What if he hates my face? I don't think i could go on if he hated my face?

Jeon Jungkook (Vocal Mentor): *hands out lyrics* Let's begin. I'd like to hear each one of you. Who'd like to go first?

Roh Yulhee (SM // A): *she puts up her hand* Um... I will.

Jeon Jungkook (Vocal Mentor): That's enough. I think you're missing the main melody, I'll sing it for you.

Jungkook sings the melody line for her so she can hear how the verse is meant to sound.

Roh Yulhee (SM // A): How does he manage to sing it so well? He was absolutely flawless and I can barely hit some of those notes.

Jeon Jungkook (Vocal Mentor): Now you try again. It doesn't have to be perfect because you're a rapper, not a vocalist, but if you want to be in A class you have to be able to carry the melody.

Yulhee sings the intro again, considerably better than the first time.

Jeon Jungkook (Vocal Mentor): That was a lot better. Who's next?

Park Athena (PLEDIS // A): I'll go next.

[Class C Practice Studio]

Jung Hoseok (Dance Mentor): Now I know I have a bit of a reputation as the toughest mentor, but I want you guys to be able to improve. Let's start from the top.

As he watches, he notes who needs the most improvement. As this is C class, he doesn't expect the trainees to be extremely polished, but he expects them to be able to improve.

Jung Hoseok (Dance Mentor): Li Mei, I need you to focus, your arms are just flopping around. Come on, we've been working on this part for hours.

[INTERVIEW]

Jung Yena (JYP // C): I knew he was just trying to help us... but he was treating us like we were A class. The dance was really hard too.

[END INTERVIEW]

Jung Hoseok (Dance Mentor): Herin that's actually really good~ can you give the others some of your energy?

Kim Herin (BigHit // C): Of course I can! Come on everyone~ we can do it! *she runs to give each member a hug* C class fighting!

Jung Hoseok (Dance Mentor): I need to meet with the other mentors... I hope you work on this before i see you again.

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): You heard him~ we've got a few hours until curfew, let's continue.

Lee Somin (IND // C): If you need help, i think i have it mostly down, but i'm definitely going to practice more.

Park Sunhi (PLEDIS // C): There's just so much jumping~ i don't know how i'm going to sing and dance at the same time.

Kim Herin (BigHit // C): You just have to have ENERGY. If you smile, people will watch your face~ not your feet.

The girls in class C continued to practice until the staff sent them back to their dorms for curfew.

Knowing the next day would include their re evaluation videos~ they all planned to sleep early, but some of the trainees found themselves too excited to sleep.

[Room Three]

Kwon Choonchee (Yuehua // B): It's two am. Could you keep it down please?

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): Sorry Choonie~

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): Wait... so you were really in the bathroom when they announced that Heart Attack won Rookie of the Year at MAMA?

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): Yes! It was so embarrassing~ I was so nervous, I thought there was going to be one more performance but they announced as I was walking back.

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): Okay~ but you know what's even more embarrassing? The other members dyed my hair green as a prank right before I had a meeting with the manager about getting to appear in a Triple H Music Video. It was awful.

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): That's terrible. Why didn't you get to be in it?

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): The manager said that if I wasn't responsible enough to keep track of my own hair color, I wasn't responsible enough to be in the video.

Ashbourne Charlotte (SM // B): Hey~ I didn't even get to be in an SM rookies video because they thought my concept was too close to red velvet because of my hair color.

Zhang Weilan (PLEDIS // B): I mean... at least we all are getting a second chance now.

Ashbourne Charlotte (SM // B): True. I really hope we all get to debut together.

Lee Suran (CUBE // B): Me too...

The girls soon fell asleep, and the lights went out in the hallways soon after, as if the girls thought today had been a long day~ tomorrow would be even longer.
