"Why?" he asked.

"Because she hates your guts, man." Sirius let loose a frustated sigh. "She'll never date you. Its your fate."

"And what if I told you that she's my destiny?" James raised his eyebrows. Sirius only shook his head in response.

"It could be a coincidence," Peter said with a shake of his head. "She hates you."

"Nah, she doesn't," smiled Sirius, his eyes lingering on the redhead, who was telling something to Emmeline Vance.

"Nothing can keep us apart. I swear to God, I'll make Lily Evans fall in love with me," James said firmly.

"Screw them," he murmured. "I don't care what they say. For all I know, you are my destiny."

"It's impossible, James!" Lily withdrew her hand, shaking slightly.

"Its not-"

"Its up to you," James interuppted her. "It's up to me. No one can tell us what we can be."

"So break your bounds," James whispered, moving closer to her and catching her chin between his fingers. "Break your bounds and be mine, forever and ever. We'll never break."

"And how do I believe you?" Lily demanded. James kissed her, pouring out all the years of love, longing, passion and frustation in the kiss.

"Just believe me. I have rewritten the stars today, Evans," James told Lily.

"I believe you," Lily breathed.

In the end, James Potter and Lily Evand did rewrite the stars.
