Summary: Lily is jealous of James' new girlfriend. He has moved on but no one accepts it. Let's see what happens...Yes, yes. I suck at descriptions.

( In which they get together despite a bitch trying to tear them apart )

Maple Rafferty.

The name was the least liked in the castle. Maple was type of girl who would--excuse my language--snog and do anything worse than that to everything that moves. I am not kidding. As the narrator, I would like to tell you to keep your knives to yourself, thank you.

She had short dirty blonde hair (No really, that was the color of her hair!) and brown eyes, which, according to Sirius Black, looked like mud. I would agree.

She was a seventh year Ravenclaw, though people--and I--often wonder if that's true. Have you seen a Ravenclaw with a D on their Charms paper? No, right? Well you saw one today.

She was always trailed by her faithful bitches--again, excuse my language--also known at Betty Cooper and Jane Cartwright. Both of the girls hated Marlene McKinnon with a buring passion.

Back to Mabitch, pardon, Maple, she has been chasing after James Potter since fourth year. Batting her eyelashes, wearing short skirts, stuff like that.

After the Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor match, she asked James out. And guess what? The idiot, prat, toe-rag, whatever, agreed! Yes, I hate him too! It was now a month since they had been dating.

If that's what you call it. Marlene McKinnon, Sirius Black, Dorcas Meadowes, Emmeline Vance and I think of it as 'making sure that every bloody thing in the castle vomits their guts out due to the PDA.'

If you'd look closely, you would see Lily Evans being jealous as heck. No, scratch that, you would see her being jealous as fuck.

To add to her anger, the prat and that bitch were making out in front of her in the common room. Beside her, Alice pretended to throw up in her bag. Lily had to snicker at that.

Marlene and Sirius were off snogging in some random broom closet. Remus Lupin sat beside her, his arm draped over her shoulders comfortingly.

Frank gave her a small smile from behind his book and she nodded. It clearly meant: Don't let 'em get to you.

Emmeline and Dorcas were whispering something which sounded suspiciously like plans about Potter and Rafferty's demises. Lily rested her head on Remus' shoulder and sighed.

The sound jerked Potter away from his fantasy land. Rafferty pouted.

Do that one more time and I'll cut off the lower portion of you face. Lily thought menacingly.

'Wow, Prongs finally managed to figure out that his friends are here!' Remus said sarcastically.

'Amazing, isn't it?' Emmeline smirked.

'Unbelievable.' Dorcas said solemnly. Alice, Lily and Frank snickered. Potter rolled his eyes. Rafferty gave him a last flirty wink before going out of the portrait hole. She made sure to shake her hips left and right while doing so.

Personally, I think it made her look like a frog with some serious problem but who cares for my opinion?

'What's up with you guys?' Potter drawled as he leaned against the couch.

'Yeah? We have a problem? I didn't notice!' Remus gasped, sarcasm dripping from his words. Potter frowned.

'I've some study stuff to do, you coming Em, Ali or Dorks?' Lily stood up abruptly.

'Oh yeah.' Alice said.

'Sure.' Emmeline replied.

'What's the harm?' Dorcas answered.

After the girls left, James turned to Remus. 'What the fuck?' He said. Remus looked up from his book.

'You are a bloody idiot Prongs', was all he said.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that James wasn't offended.

Lily was sitting in the girls' dormitory when someone decided to kill her.

'AAAAAAA! YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT LILS!' Dorcas shouted gleefully as she hugged Lily to death.

'You are right, I won't believe it 'cause I won't live to hear it!' Lily's voice was muffled as though she couldn't breathe.

'Sorry!' Dorcas exclaimed as she jumped up. Lily groaned and sat upright.

'Right so, POTTER BROKE UP WITH MABITCH!' Dorcas screamed.

'Bloody hell woman, you are perfectly audible! Stop shouting!' Marlene yelled from the shower.

'What? How? When? Why?' Lily demanded.

'Question one, he broke up with Mabitch. Question two, by snapping it at her. Question three, when she was gossiping with her bitches at the lake. Question four, because she was spreading rumours that Potter slept with her and he told her that he would marry her one day. As if! Potter's still a virgin!' Dorcas said proudly.

'For the first time, your gossiping skills did some good.' Marlene said as she stepped out of the bathroom in a towel. Dorcas rolled her eyes.

'Hey Evans...'

Lily looked up from her book to see James leaning over her.

'Hey yourself.' She said amd shifted so he could sit beside her on the bench. It was a Hogsmead weekend and Lily had come over to the outside on the village for some calm.

He sat down beside her and his gaze dropped to the ground. Lily watched as a snowflake fell on his eyelashes and melted there.

'Do you miss Mab-Maple?' Lily asked abruptly. James was startled. He looked up and shook his head.

'God no. She was clingy.' He said. Lily snorted.

'So why did you go out with her?' She pressed. James' eyes hardened as he looked at her with narrowed eyes.

'Don't pretend like you don't know Evans.' He said. Lily was taken off guard. She frowned.

'You went out with her. How would I know why you went out with her?' She demanded.

'Because Evans', James said slowly, 'because I wanted to make you jealous. Hell, I did everything I could so you would go out with me! I matured for you! But no, for you, I'll always be James Potter, The Arrogant Toe-Rag. You would always hate me!'

The pain and hurt was visible in his eyes. Lily felt a twinge of guilt.

'I-I never hated you.' She whispered, barely audible. She looked up in his hazel eyes. They were burning with a fire. For her, she realized.

Suddenly, he crashed his lips onto hers and she saw stars.

'I love you Lily.' He mumbled against her lips.

'I love you too James.' She whispered back. His face brokw into a huge grin.

So that was how on the 25th of January 1977 that James Potter and Lily Evans got together.
