January 23rd 1536

"There will be a joust tomorrow" George spoke up as Margaret rolled her eyes.

"Why are you bringing it up, None of us plan to go" Margaret states "Anne is confined and i'd rather stay inside"

"I want you to accompany my wife"

"Why would I? You are her husband's brother. You have been for years" Margaret snaps "I don't understand why you wont try with her"

"And I don't understand why you still have no spoken to his majesty"

"Fine I shall take lady Rochford, what will you be doing while your wife and I go to the joust"

"I just have a few meetings" George lies.

"Brother why won't you try with Jane, she's kind and Both Anne and I like her"

"There are reasons. She seems somewhat scared of me and I we do not like each other"

"Have you given her a reason to be scared of you?" Margaret questions.

"Sister, enough of the questions. I shall answer them if you speak with his majesty"

"That's not going to happen," Margaret whispers.

"Then no questions about my marriage, Margaret I love you but you can be annoying sometimes"

"That's not nice," Margaret smiles.

"You should retire, you have a joust to go to tomorrow. And knowing my wife she will be up early to dress and impress the king"

"Mhm"

January 24th 1536

Margaret was wearing a light blue dress for the joust, it was a simple event. One she didn't want to go to. But she didn't want her sister in law Jane Rochford to go herself. She knew full well George didn't talk to his wife nor did he go anywhere with her.

So going with Jane would give her and Margaret someone to talk to. They were close, the two of them would sometimes have lunch together. But George would always come before anyone else. As Anne would.

"Do you hope someone will ask for your favour?" Jane Rochford spoke up as the two made their way over to where the joust would take place.

Margaret didn't answer as she looked down at the white ribbon that was around her wrist, it was common for all the ladies even the married ones to have a favour.

"I do not believe so" Margaret answered back after a few minutes "What of you dear sister."

Jane smiles at what Margaret called her and shakes her head "The only favour I truly would accept and want is one from your brother"

"He is a fool"

"As his majesty is"

"The king has taken many to his bed Lady Rochford. The only person he loves is my sister"

Jane stops as they reach the area. Margaret looks up at one of the seating areas as she sees her father "Perhaps we can stand here and watch. As some of the other people are"

"Thank goodness you said that" Jane whispered as Margaret turned to look at her.

"My father scares you doesn't he"

"Sometimes, I think he blames me"

"For what"

"For not being with child, I have heard him speaking of Anne sometimes. Blaming her" Jane admits.

"My father is just like any man"

"And yet he has not said a word about you. You're twenty seven nearly twenty eight. And you are not yet wed"

"The joust is about to start"

"I'm sorry if I have crossed a line, but surely you will wed one day" Jane asks "Perhaps even with his majesty"

"Why would I wed the king when is already married?" Margaret snaps catching on of what her brother said about his wife.

"Nothing, nothing like you said Margaret the joust is beginning" Jane sent her a soft smile as Margaret's eyes go on to the first round.

************************************

"I am nearly five months pregnant. everything is going well" Anne smiled "Why aren't you at the joust Arthur"

"I'd rather spend time with my Queen" Arthur admits "I don't like the fact the king is keeping you in your chambers"

"I'm fine I swear it, Henry has been kind to me."

"So Jane Seymour is no longer a problem to you"

"You know I do not like her. She will be a problem as long as she's my lady in waiting"

"Anne you cannot afford to make any more mistakes" Arthur reminds her "You are lucky the king didn't do anything to you. After what you did to Jane"

************************************

"Look Margaret, the king is about to joust" Jane Rochford smiled as she spotted Henry walking by.

"You know he must win" Margaret spoke up "It would be a small act of treason to win against the king"

Jane Rochford stays quiet as Margaret's eyes go on Henry, She watches as he walks over to Jane Seymour. Margaret looks away not wanting to look at them.

"I think I'd like to leave," Margaret mutters at the same time as the next round was about to begin.

"Of course" Jane Rochford smiles slightly as Margaret begins to walk away. But Her sister in law does not follow.

"Jane" Margaret turns around as she sees her sister in law still standing where she had a few moments before. Margaret walks back over to Jane and looks to where she is "What is it"

Jane doesn't answer as Henry is knocked off his horse.

"He lost" Jane whispered to Margaret as a few seconds go by and Henry had still not gotten up.

"Why isn't he getting up" Margaret spoke up as a few men rushed over to the king, one being her father.

Margaret doesn't stay put as she walks out of the crowds and stops when she gets a good sight of what is happening. He was blacked out, and wasn't waking up.

Margaret tries to go over further as she is stopped by her father.

"Father" Margaret snaps. All she wants to do is make sure Henry is fine.

"Margaret they are taking him to the tent" Thomas tells his daughter "Listen to me the minute i leave your side. There will be plans made for James coronation"

"Are you saying Henry won't live?" Margaret questions.

"I do not know Margaret, for now you must return to the castle. And stay alone or with Anne"

"Will he live Father"

"No one can tell Margaret. It's only been a few minutes"

"And yet they already plan on crowning my son" Margaret mumbles.

"Listen to me Margaret. Do as I've asked of you"

************************************

"Margaret" Anne rushed over to her younger sister pulling her into a tight embrace "What happened, tell me you saw what happened"

"He fell off his horse" Margaret tells her sister as Anne lets go of her.

"Good god" Anne turns away "Father told me what happened about an hour ago. Where have you been"

"Anne"

"If he dies they plan to crown your son" Anne states.

"Anne, stop overthinking. Everything will be fine"

"And if he does not wake" Anne snaps.

"Anne you cannot be stressing yourself out, you still have the babe to worry about" Margaret reminds her "Henry will wake, we all just need to pray"
