Third person Pov:

The air in the classroom crackled with tension, thick with the unsaid words and unspoken animosity that had brewed between them for years as everyone conversed normally. Nora sat rigidly in her seat, her gaze fixed determinedly on the front of the room, her jaw set in a defiant line. She could feel his eyes on her, burning into her skin like hot coals, and she resisted the urge to turn and meet his stare.

She turned to him for a moment, her eyes fixated on his handsome yet annoying features as he smirked and glanced somewhere else. She knew today was results day and a nuisance like him wouldn't stop pestering her.

They were like oil and water, destined never to mix. From the moment they'd met, sparks had flown—sharp words exchanged like blows in a never-ending battle for dominance.

"Alright students, be silent!" The teacher's loud shrill tone made her gaze follow the man who held the checked exam sheets.

The teacher began handing out the sheets, students started discussing their grades and there sat a proud Nora, staring down on her paper.

"95%, nice. Not bad," she mumbled to herself with a smile not knowing the camaraderie that would spill just about now.

"So, I would like to give special recognition to a few students who achieved amazing scores," she paused and took a page from her desk as Nora's eyes gleamed with pride.

"Dimitri Orlov! You scored the highest in this grade at a whopping 98%. Congratulations sweetie," she said in a loud voice Nora's eyes widened, and her mouth went dry as her jaw tightened.

The girls around her cheered for the man and Nora cringed at how much they threw themselves at him while he gave no fucks.

Son of a bitch!

Her ears rang, and she couldn't process anything more. The hatred in her eyes increased.

Dimitri stood up from his seat to receive his grade and smirked at Nora, knowing fully well he wouldn't pause the teasing from that time onwards.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. Nora gathered her things, feeling a sense of relief.

But stupid fate had other plans.

Nora arrived at her locker and began putting her books inside while humming a tune. Her peaceful moment was interrupted when she felt the door being swiftly shut by someone.

She flinched, moving away and realized who it was. "What the fuck is wrong with you, you dickhead!"

"Aww, annoyed by me already? Or annoyed by the fact that I'm better than you?" he asked with cockiness, his voice just as bothersome as him while Nora clenched her jaw in anger.

"Leave me the fuck alone Dimitri. I'm not in the mood," she spat at him and was about to move away, he gripped her arm, preventing her from leaving.

"We're not finished," he said, his voice low and dangerous.

Nora's nostrils flared with indignation. "What do you want now? Another opportunity to belittle me?"

He smirked, a cocky tilt to his head as his sharp gray orbs met hers. "Belittle you? Hardly. I just wanted to remind you that no matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to beat me. Especially not in academics."

Her temper flared as she glared at him. "Is that a challenge? Because I seem to recall acing the last test while you barely scraped by."

Dimitri's eyes narrowed, his pride wounded. "I didn't scrape by, and you know it. Let's see how well you do on the next one."

She pushed him harshly and with a swift twist, she wrenched her arm from his grasp, her movements fluid and precise. "Don't fucking touch me again, ever."

He watched her leave as her threat hung in the air, her words showed her disgust as his stare remained at her back, watching her brunette hair swiveled to the side.

"This isn't over. You'll regret saying that, you bitch."

And with those words, Nora knew that their war was far from over.

A/N

Yes I know this was short but this was the just the glimpse of what you're going to be reading ahead. And no, the book will not be in third person pov. There will be povs of both the main characters.

I hope this was good. I would really love your feedback, it will help me with my writing, grammar, plot etc.
