Love Finds a Way
Saanvi was still sobbing in Y/N's embrace, her tears soaking Y/N's shirt. Y/N gently stroked her hair, feeling a mix of concern and confusion. The early morning sun streamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room, but it did little to lighten the heavy atmosphere.
Y/N couldn't fathom what had happened so early in the morning to make her cry so much. The silence between her sobs was filled with the ticking of the clock and the distant chirping of birds, making the room feel eerily quiet.
Gently, they asked again, their voice full of concern, "Berry, what happened? Please, talk to me."
Saanvi hiccuped and tried to steady her nerves. "My mom has arranged my marriage. She wants me to go home, meet the guy, and even get engaged."
Y/N pulled back slightly, searching Saanvi's tear-streaked face for any sign that she might be exaggerating. "W-What... she didn't even ask you? You haven't seen him or met him, and she's already fixed the marriage?" Y/N exclaimed, eyebrows shooting up in shock.
Saanvi nodded, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. "Exactly, Cherry. My decisions, my voice, and my dreams mean nothing to them. They've always done what they wanted," she sobbed, her voice trembling with frustration and despair.
Y/N's mind raced, filled with anger and helplessness. How could her parents be so dismissive of her wishes? It wasn't just unfair; it was a betrayal of Saanvi's trust and autonomy.
She tightened her grip on Saanvi, trying to offer some semblance of comfort. "We'll figure this out," Y/N whispered fiercely, determination shining in her eyes.
"But still, Saanvi, at least talk to Kook. Find out what he thinks," Y/N insisted gently, her voice filled with concern.
Saanvi's tears continued to fall, her heart aching. "What about Kook, Y/N? Our relationship just started. Is it really going to end so soon?" she cried, her voice breaking as fresh sobs racked her body.
"Berry, Berry, please calm down," Y/N said softly, brushing Saanvi's tears away with her fingers. "Talk to Kook about this. If your parents are so set on you getting married, introduce them to Kook and marry him."
"That's the problem, Cherry," Saanvi replied, her voice trembling. "Our relationship is still so new; it's only been a few days. Kook needs time to get to know me, to see if we're compatible. Marriage is a huge responsibility. How can I ask him to make such a big decision so quickly?"
Saanvi suddenly sat up in bed, her movements abrupt. She wiped her tears away, her face set with determination. "I need to be alone for a while. I'm going out. Don't follow me and don't call me. I'll come back in a bit."
"No... no, Saanvi, don't go alone. Let me come with you, please," Y/N pleaded, her eyes wide with worry.
"Please, Cherry, just for some time. I promise I'll come back soon," Saanvi said softly, cupping Y/N's face in her hands, her touch warm and reassuring despite her own turmoil.
Y/N nodded reluctantly, her heart aching. She realized Saanvi might need some time alone to clear her mind. The room felt empty as Saanvi stood up, the air thick with unspoken fears and hopes. Y/N's mind raced, wondering if giving Saanvi space was the right decision.
As Saanvi was about to leave, Y/N yelled, "Saanvi, remember your promise and take care!"
Saanvi paused at the door, giving Y/N a reassuring nod before stepping out into the cool morning air. The sunlight cast long shadows on the floor, highlighting the emptiness left in her wake. Y/N watched her go, feeling a mix of worry and hope that this time alone would help Saanvi find some clarity.
After Saanvi left, Y/N felt a mix of emotions—concern for Saanvi's well-being and a gnawing uncertainty about what to do next. She decided to freshen up with a quick shower, the warm water helps to clear her mind momentarily. As she dried off and dressed, thoughts of Saanvi's absence lingered in the air.
In the kitchen, Y/N mechanically prepared an omelette and blended fresh strawberries into a creamy milkshake, the vibrant pink colour a stark contrast to the heaviness weighing on her mind.
Sitting down to eat, Y/N's thoughts raced. "It's been two hours since Saanvi left. Has she eaten anything? Is she okay out there?" The silence of the apartment amplified her concerns, each passing minute deepening her unease.
"Should I talk to Kook about Saanvi and her situation? Is it the right thing to do?" Y/N mused aloud, her fork pausing mid-air as she debated the implications. She knew Jungkook cared deeply for Saanvi, but she also feared complicating matters further by involving him.
Just as these thoughts swirled in her mind, Y/N's phone rang, breaking the tense quiet of the room. Her heart skipped a beat with hope, thinking it might be Saanvi calling to reassure her. However, it was Jungkook on the line, "Where's Saanvi? She's not picking up my calls," Jungkook's concerned voice came through the phone as soon as Y/N answered.
She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts before responding, "Kook, Saanvi went out. Things have been really tough for her, so she needed some alone time."
"What happened to her? Everything seemed fine yesterday. And where did she go alone?" Jungkook's voice tightened with worry.
"If possible, come over, Kook. I need to talk to you about this," Y/N said, trying to convey the urgency gently.
"Okay, give me 15 minutes. I'll be there," Jungkook replied before ending the call abruptly. He grabbed his car keys and jacket, rushing out the door with a sense of urgency and concern for Saanvi.
A short while later, Jungkook arrived, visibly concerned, and Y/N recounted everything about Saanvi—how her parents were pressuring her into marriage and her uncertain thoughts about discussing it with Jungkook.
Jungkook listened intently, his expression shifting from confusion to shock. "How can this happen? It's hard to believe," he murmured, running a hand through his hair in disbelief.
"It's not uncommon, Kook. Some places still hold on to these traditions. Saanvi belongs to a place, where marriages often happen early. According to them, Saanvi is already at a marriageable age," Y/N explained calmly. "Even on my side, my family keeps bringing up the topic of marriage repeatedly."
Jungkook nodded slowly, absorbing the information. He realized the cultural differences and the weight of familial expectations that Saanvi was grappling with. His concern for her deepened as he processed the complexities of her situation.
"I can't imagine how difficult this must be for her," Jungkook finally said, his voice reflecting both empathy and frustration.
Jungkook paused, deep in thought, before speaking again. "Saanvi should talk to me once. Who said I don't want to marry her?"
Y/N looked at Jungkook, surprised by his response. "Do you mean... you're willing to consider marriage?" she asked cautiously, wanting to understand his perspective clearly.
Jungkook nodded, his expression serious yet determined. "If Saanvi wants to discuss it seriously, I'm open to understanding her perspective and discussing our future together."
Jungkook spoke passionately, his frustration palpable. "I used to think differently about marriage and dating. If I love her, what's this freaking probation period or getting to know each other?" His voice carried a mix of conviction and frustration. "When I say I love you, it means I've already envisioned our future together. Dating is simply about enjoying each other's company."
"We can continue dating after marriage; it won't be a problem if Saanvi is okay with it," Jungkook assured Y/N, his tone gentle yet firm.
"I understand the trend these days is to date, get to know each other, and then consider marriage. But when I entered a relationship with Saanvi, I had already committed to a future with her. Loving her means I'm willing to compromise and accept her with all her flaws," Jungkook's determination shone through his words, his sincerity evident.
Y/N listened intently, feeling moved by Jungkook's unwavering love for Saanvi and his clear understanding of what it meant to truly commit. She admired his mature perspective and his readiness to support Saanvi through whatever challenges lay ahead. At that moment, Y/N couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration for Jungkook, realizing just how deeply he cared for Saanvi and how steadfast he was in his affection.
"Now the problem seems to be resolving itself," Y/N said cheerfully. "And as for her family, they'll agree to your marriage. Besides, who would refuse such a handsome guy?" Y/N chuckled, but her tone turned sombre. "But then again, there, marriage means caste, status, and money, so they won't have any reason to reject you."
"It's okay, princess. We can't change everyone's thoughts," Jungkook said, ruffling Y/N's hair gently.
"Yeah, let me call Saanvi and ask her to come back; she'll be happy to hear this," Y/N said, her excitement evident as she reached for her phone. However, Jungkook swiftly took it from her hand.
"Relax, please. Help me first," Jungkook said, and Y/N looked at him in confusion.
"I want to propose to her for marriage beautifully. Besides, I was in jealous when I proposed last time. This time, I want to plan it properly," Jungkook explained to Y/N.
"Oh, okay. I'll help you," Y/N agreed, nodding.
"You just bring Saanvi back in the evening at the address I'll give you. I'll go discuss the plans with my brothers," Jungkook said, standing up.
"Okay, I will," Y/N replied with a thumbs up, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation for what lay ahead.
An hour passed since Jungkook left, and Y/N anxiously awaited Saanvi's return. When Saanvi finally walked in, Y/N noticed a slight improvement in her demeanour, though she still seemed weighed down by her thoughts.
"Are you feeling better now?" Y/N asked softly, her concern evident in her voice.
Saanvi managed a small smile. "Yeah, I am. And I'm also hungry," she replied, half-jokingly rubbing her stomach for emphasis.
"Oh, okay. Let me cook something for you. Why don't you freshen up in the meantime?" Y/N suggested, trying to keep the atmosphere light.
While Saanvi ate, Y/N broached the topic gently. "There's a small party at my colleague's place tonight, and they've invited both of us. I know you're not really in the mood to attend, but I didn't want to turn them down," Y/N explained, her voice tinged with empathy as she pouted slightly, hoping Saanvi would understand.
Saanvi looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded. "It's okay, we can go. It might actually help shift my mood a little," she reassured, her tone carrying a hint of determination to push through her emotions.
In the evening, Saanvi and Y/N got ready beautifully and arrived at the place where Jungkook had directed them.
"Let's go inside," Y/N said excitedly as they approached the entrance.
Saanvi entered the private hall with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. As she took in the scene before her, she was suddenly struck with shock.
In the softly lit private hall, Saanvi and Y/N found themselves surrounded by an enchanting display of pink and white flowers delicately arranged. Twinkling lights cast a gentle glow, adding a magical ambience to the scene. Scented candles flickered softly, infusing the air with a subtle, soothing fragrance. Soft music hummed in the background, creating a serene atmosphere that enveloped the room.
As Saanvi took in the beauty of the decor, her eyes were drawn to the centre of the room where a circle of flowers formed an elegant display. In the midst of it, written in intricate script, were the words 'Will you marry me?'
Saanvi stood there, stunned and speechless, her heart racing as she comprehended the significance of the moment.
Saanvi turned towards Y/N, about to speak, when her words caught in her throat as a spotlight suddenly illuminated her from above. The room fell silent, and all eyes turned towards her.
As Saanvi stood there, momentarily frozen, another spotlight approached her from a different direction. It was Jungkook, dressed in a crisp white shirt and black pants, holding a bouquet of roses in his hands. Saanvi's heart skipped a beat as she locked eyes with him, her breath catching in her throat.
At that moment, surrounded by the soft glow of the lights and the delicate fragrance of flowers and candles, Saanvi felt a rush of emotions overwhelming her. Her gaze fixed on Jungkook, she forgot everything else around her, completely captivated by his presence and the depth of his gesture.
Jungkook approached Saanvi, extending the bouquet of roses with a steady hand. "I know what you've been going through. But why did you forget me? I'm always with you, and I always will be. Saanvi, you are mine, and your problems are mine too. Let's face them together."
With these heartfelt words, Jungkook took a small box from his pocket and knelt before Saanvi. He opened the box, revealing a stunning, shiny ring nestled inside. Saanvi's eyes filled with tears as she gazed at the ring, overwhelmed by the moment and Jungkook's unwavering love.
"Will you marry me, Saanvi?" Jungkook's voice was soft yet filled with conviction as he spoke the words that hung in the air, echoing the depth of his feelings for her.
Tears rolled down Saanvi's cheeks as she looked into Jungkook's eyes, feeling a surge of emotion that threatened to overcome her. She nodded slowly, unable to find her voice amidst the overwhelming rush of happiness and love.
The room erupted into soft applause and whispers of congratulations as Jungkook slipped the ring onto Saanvi's finger, sealing their commitment with a promise that transcended words. Y/N watched on with a smile, her heart swelling with joy for her dear friends who had found their way through uncertainty to this beautiful moment of unity and love.
After the heartfelt proposal, all the BTS members and Y/N gathered around the table to celebrate this beautiful moment and enjoy dinner together. The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie as they settled in.
While they were having dinner, Jin commented with a grin, "Wow, Kook, you're the youngest among us, yet you're the first one to get married."
Jimin added dramatically, "Where's our luck, hyung?"
Y/N laughed, "Here they go again!"
Everyone teased and laughed as they enjoyed their meal, the room filled with warmth and happiness. Amidst the cheerful banter, Saanvi leaned towards Taehyung and whispered, "I need to talk to you. Can we step aside for a moment?"
Taehyung looked at her curiously but nodded, "Sure, let's go." They quietly slipped away from the table, finding a more private corner to talk.
"Saanvi, what's on your mind?" Taehyung asked gently, sensing the seriousness of her request.
Saanvi took a deep breath and said, "Taehyung, I'm not trying to put any pressure on you, but I want you to know about Y/N's wish."
Hearing this, Taehyung's curiosity piqued. Saanvi then revealed Y/N's wish to him. As he listened, a broad smile spread across his face, and he couldn't help but feel a bit shy.
"Then I'll definitely fulfil her wish," Taehyung said with a warm smile.
After their brief conversation, they both returned to the table. The other members exchanged curious glances, wondering what the two had been discussing in private.
"What's going on between you two?" Jimin asked playfully, raising an eyebrow.
Y/N looked at them both, a mix of curiosity and amusement on her face. "Yeah, spill it! What are you hiding?"
Taehyung chuckled, "Don't worry, it's nothing bad. Just something special for later."
Saanvi smiled, feeling a sense of relief and excitement. The table buzzed with speculation and lighthearted teasing, but the warmth and support of their friends made the evening even more special.
"True love is when two people can be their most vulnerable selves together."
