India's Diary

This morning, the plan was to visit the Yamuna Ghat and behold its ethereal beauty at sunrise. However, everyone was so exhausted that they had to cancel their morning plan.

Finally, everyone woke up and got ready by around 8 o'clock. The air was filled with a mix of excitement and lingering drowsiness as they gathered for a hearty breakfast. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm toast energized them for the day ahead. After enjoying their meal, they packed their essentials, double-checked their itineraries, and finally set off on their eagerly anticipated tour. The city awaited them, brimming with promise and adventure.

First, they decided to explore the Red Fort. Interestingly, it was a plan outlined by Y/N as well. So, everyone arrived at the Red Fort, eager to delve into its rich history and majestic architecture.

As they approached the Red Fort, its grandeur unfolded before their eyes like a captivating story from the past. The sun-kissed sandstone walls stood tall, adorned with intricate carvings and ornate embellishments that whispered tales of bygone empires and royal splendour. A gentle breeze carried the faint echoes of history, mingling with the chatter of excited tourists. The imposing gates, with their intricate patterns and imposing stature, beckoned them to step into a realm where time seemed to stand still.

The sprawling campus of the Red Fort unfolded like a labyrinth of tales, each palace and chamber whispering its own unique story. Every mahal and room bore witness to a chapter of history, adorned with relics and artefacts from bygone eras. From the intricate tapestries to the ancient tools and weaponry displayed with pride, every corner resonated with the echoes of India's rich past. It was a journey through time, where the walls themselves seemed to narrate the saga of Delhi as the epicentre of power and culture.

With every step, they delved deeper into the annals of history, tracing the footsteps of countless rulers who had left their mark on these hallowed grounds. The Red Fort stood as a silent sentinel, guarding the memories of kings and emperors who once walked its halls. Each story intertwined seamlessly with the next, painting a vivid tapestry of conquests, triumphs, and tragedies.

Amidst the grandeur and splendour, there was a palpable sense of reverence for the legacy of those who had shaped the destiny of a nation. From the mighty Mughals to the colonial conquerors, the Red Fort bore witness to the ebb and flow of power over the centuries. It was a testament to resilience and endurance, a living testament to the enduring spirit of India and its people.

"I'm also coming with you," Taehyung volunteered eagerly.

"See, while Chandni Chowk market is fantastic for sightseeing, it is quite hustle and bustle, and it's not ideal for privacy. So, you all should wait in the van," Y/N explained before heading off to pack lunch. With that, she left, leaving the rest of the group to relax in the van. Y/N had left Saanvi behind in the van to ensure everyone's well-being in her absence.

After a short while, Y/N returned with piping hot aloo parathas and jalebi with rabri. As she stepped back into the van, the tantalizing aroma of the food filled the air, causing everyone's mouths to water.

The first bite of the delicious aloo parathas was met with sighs of contentment and murmurs of appreciation. The crispy exterior gave way to a flavorful potato filling that danced on their taste buds. The jalebi with rabri was a heavenly combination of sweet and creamy indulgence that left everyone craving for more.

Taehyung and Jimin, in particular, found themselves enchanted by the jalebi with rabri, savouring every bite with sheer delight. It was evident that Y/N's choice of lunch had won over everyone's hearts, leaving them grateful for such a delightful treat amidst their adventure-filled day.

After this heavenly lunch, everyone set off for their next destination, the magnificent Akshardham Temple.

As they explored further, they discovered the rich history and profound significance of the Akshardham Temple. They were enthralled by a captivating play that unveiled the temple's story, delving into its spiritual legacy and cultural significance.

Moreover, the boat ride offered them a unique opportunity to delve into the depths of Indian culture and tradition. Drifting along the tranquil waters, they were immersed in a journey of enlightenment, learning about iconic figures like Aryabhatta and ancient practices like Ayurveda. Each revelation added another layer to their euphoria, deepening their appreciation for India's rich heritage and timeless wisdom.

And finally, the highlight of their visit to the temple was the mesmerizing light show, an experience beyond compare. As the sun set and darkness descended, the temple came alive with a symphony of lights, music, and storytelling. The fountains danced in perfect harmony with the rhythm of the music, while colorful lights projected intricate patterns on the temple walls.

Amidst this enchanting spectacle, a moral story unfolded, weaving its way into the hearts of all who watched. Through the interplay of light and shadow, ancient tales of wisdom and virtue were brought to life, captivating the audience with their timeless relevance and profound insights.

It was a fitting finale to their visit, leaving them with memories that would last a lifetime.

Now, today's tour concluded as everyone settled back into the van for the journey back.

"Y/n, thank you for this beautiful tour. India is truly breathtaking, and its rich culture is mesmerizing," RM expressed, his voice filled with genuine appreciation.

"Yeah, I chose these places specifically to give you a glimpse of India's diverse beauty in a short time," Y/n replied, her eyes reflecting the passion she held for her country. "But there's still so much more to explore. If we venture east, we'll encounter breathtaking valleys and hill stations where the beauty of nature will leave you speechless. In South India, the temples are not just places of worship; they are architectural wonders that defy imagination. Even for those who aren't religious, witnessing the intricate craftsmanship of these ancient structures is an experience in itself."

Y/n's words resonated with the group as they pondered the depth of India's cultural heritage. "It's incredible to think about how these monuments were built centuries ago, without the aid of modern technology," J-Hope remarked, his eyes alight with curiosity.

"Exactly," Y/n agreed, nodding fervently. "India's history is a testament to human ingenuity and perseverance. And every region has its own unique traditions, cuisine, and way of life. It's a tapestry of diversity that continues to inspire and amaze."

As the van made its way back, the group felt a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for the incredible journey they had embarked upon. India had opened their eyes to a world of beauty and complexity, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds.

And then they arrived at a restaurant that Y/n had booked for dinner.

As everyone settled into their seats, the soft glow of the restaurant's ambient lighting created an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. The menu, filled with tantalizing options, beckoned to them, promising a culinary adventure unlike any other.

"Suga's suggestion is a good one. Y/n and Saanvi, you two know the flavours we should try," RM nodded in agreement, a sense of trust evident in his voice.

Y/n and Saanvi leaned in, discussing their choices with animated gestures and excited whispers. Together, they curated a selection of dishes that promised to delight the senses and tantalize the taste buds.

"Let's go with Naan, butter chicken, Shahi paneer, paneer pulao, raita, and gulab jamun," Y/n announced confidently, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"I think you've chosen some delicious dishes," Suga remarked, echoing the sentiments of the group.

As they waited for their food to arrive, the anticipation in the air was palpable. The soft chatter of conversation mixed with the clinking of cutlery, created a symphony of anticipation.

Finally, their order arrived, carried by the attentive waitstaff. The rich, vibrant aromas wafted through the air, teasing their senses and igniting their appetites.

"The aroma alone is enticing. I can only imagine how delicious it will taste," Jimin commented, his eyes shining with excitement as he took in the tantalizing scents swirling around them.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal, savouring each bite with delight. Jungkook, in particular, was enamoured with the naan and butter chicken, savouring every mouthful with gusto.

However, mindful of Saanvi's vegetarian preferences, the dinner selections were chosen thoughtfully to ensure everyone could partake in the feast.

As they indulged in the rich flavours of the dishes, J-Hope couldn't help but express his appreciation. "The flavours in these dishes are so vibrant. Each bite is bursting with so much flavour. This food is truly delicious."

"It feels like each dish was crafted with such care and attention to detail," Suga remarked, nodding in agreement.

Despite their enjoyment of the meal, there was unanimous consent that the raita didn't quite hit the mark.

"So guys, would you like to try a famous Indian dessert?" Y/n asked excitedly.

"Well, we're quite full, but it seems there's still room for dessert," Jin chuckled.

"Okay, great. Then let me order," Saanvi said, taking charge and signalling the waiter to bring gajar ka halwa.

As they waited for the dessert to arrive, the anticipation in the air was palpable. They couldn't wait to end their culinary journey on a sweet note with this iconic Indian delicacy.

And finally, the gajar ka halwa arrived, adorned with a generous sprinkling of colourful dry fruits that added to its allure. With eager anticipation, everyone took their first bites of the delectable dessert.

"Wow. This is the cherry on top. Gajar ka halwa is the perfect dessert after a meal," Taehyung exclaimed, savouring each spoonful with delight.

And on this sweet note, dinner came to an end, and everyone made their way back to the hotel. Tomorrow morning, they had a flight back to Korea.

Reflecting on their time in India, everyone expressed how much they had enjoyed the tour and the culinary delights the country had to offer. India had truly captured their hearts, and they all agreed that they would love to return someday.

As they walked back to the hotel, the conversation buzzed with excitement for future adventures. India had left its mark on them, igniting a passion for travel and discovery that they knew would last a lifetime.

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."
